Brilliant for shopping and close to metro link.

I slept the night in freezing cold conditions, so much so that my teeth were chattering. The weather outside was freezing cold, with strong winds and heavy showers! At 2am I woke up to a drip from the ceiling and it felt like chinese torture to say the least trying to fall back to sleep with the noise in the background. I woke up the next morning to […] no hot water and had to have a wash from the sink from 3 hot water jugs bought up by housekeeping. The hotel staff to be fair were very accomodating, however their point was that they could not do anything about the situation. I did complain to the hotel and am awaiting a full refund. I dont think that Fawlty Towers could have done worse than this! Mehr

The hotel is in an excellent location but has very shabby rooms. The noise in the rooms is very very loud. I had to be moved to a different room at 2am. There was no apology at checkout or an explanation. Would not reccommend.

I had some fantastic days in this hotel, friendly and helpfull staff. Excellent atmosphere in the bar at night. Some things can be a little expensive, like £ 15 for 24 hours internett or £7,80 for a movie. But other then that, this is a great hotell, which I will book next time around in Manchester.

Great hotel! Staff accommodating & friendly. The food was good as is the locaton! Would definitely go back and would recomend to anyone!

Beuatiful hotel in a very convenient location to all of the Manchester network. Rooms are very large and spacious, very comfortable. Car park prices for customers need to be addressed as I would consider them to be overpriced and no incentive to use them during my stay

Rooms are tired and shabby as are common areas in the hotel! High speed internet is anything but high speed – internet was so slow I had to leave the hotel several times in search of broadband so that I could work. I was also disconnected almost every 15 minutes being forced to reconnect over and over again. I complained to front desk and spoke with […] support multiple times and finally just gave up. My room service orders were terrible. A caesar salad was delivered to me with anchovies that appeared to be watery and old. A sandwich was delivered and the meat tasted like it had sat in the refrigerator uncovered absorbing smells of other food – pretty bad!!! The water pitcher was dirty on one occasion with food residue floating in it. A salad was redelivered with no cutlery. Pepsi bottles were closed and no can opener was available to open them. NO RESPONSE FROM GENERAL MANAGER WHO READ MY E-MAIL!!!! Mehr

we stayed for one night.it was my little girls birthday .the staff was lovely we got up for breakfast and they brought over a cake and a card from all the staff.my little girl was over the moon it was a really good start to her birthday .we would go back again the room we had was a really good size beds was comfy and the staff was really friendly .

Arrived at the Renaissance Hotel for an overnight stay as we were going to the MEN to see Peter Kay. Perfect location too as it was only a five minute walk from the MEN. I haven't got a bad word to say about this hotel, service was excellent, staff were professional and very polite, rooms were exceptionally clean, and the hotel car park was very handy […] just around the corner. We will be visiting again next year without a doubt and would absolutely recommend to anyone......oh and i am one of those people who is very fussy about accommodation!! Mehr

I found the staff at this hotel very friendly and helpful unlike some other more modern hotels. The hotel is need of a good renovation and perhaps a gym to keep it in line with competitors as the rooms were dated and seemed a little 1980's however the rooms were a good size and comfortable. Very close to shops and easy to find.

Initially thought I'd got a deal. When I spoke to my boyfriend he said cancel it but the conservative party conference was in manchester and everywhere was fully booked. The hotel lifts were not working, the two double beds we got were comfy but we only needed one. The facilities in the room were ancient and dusty in some places. They have refurbished […] the entrance but nothing else and the pictures on the website look nothing like the hotel. I would say its a 3* with UK standards. Mehr

We stayed here while attending an event at the MEN Arena. No problems at all. We asked for a quiet room and got it. One slight glitch with the car parking card but soon sorted.

Fantastic location. Great hotel. We had a lovely room, great size, very clean. Fantastic breakfast included in the price of the hotel. I'd definitely recommend this hotel for a great central Manchester stay

Had a lovely weekend stay. Staff very welcoming and pleasant. Concierge booked us a brilliant table at San Carlo! Breakfast very good. Room large and airy. All in all very good. Location great for the shopping and for nearby bars.

We stayed as a group of three friends and were very well looked after. we phoned to confirm and mentioned our plans , at check in maps were waiting to both locations and complimentary chocolate. The room was large and comfortable ( even with 3 beds ) . we did a weekend breakfast and evening meal and the food was lovely , anything you needed at breakfast […] was quickly repleneshed , the staff were friendly and very helpfull. I would love to stay in this Hotel again it was a lovely treat ( loved the bathrobes and chocolate on our pillows ) Mehr

We booked this hotel for one night, as we had tickets to see 'Take That'. The greeting at reception was charming and the room was spacious and very comfortable. The staff at breakfast was friendly, efficient and courteous and the food was hot and of good quality. We would definately stay there again.

Perfect location for a weekend out in Manchester and amazingly friendly and helpful staff. The only down-side; the slightly dated bathroom, apart from that a good choice!

Only had a one night stay, but found avery welcoming hotel, with friendly and helpful staff. The room was very nice and clean. Location for our party of 6 was perfect, as handy for shopping, nightlife and eating. The £16 charge for parking was a bit of a surprise, but not a great issue. Breakfast was very nice, and yet again staff were very friendly […] and helpful. Would definitely stay again, hopefully soon. Mehr

Lovely hotel, ideal location, close to shops, restaurants, night life, cinema, entertainment. ,rooms lovely, staff very friendly, will stay in this hotel again, highly recommended., great value for money.

Excellent location, service and accommodation.

Pleasant enough stay. Good hotel, room was spacious and comfortable. Perhaps in need of modernisation but very happy with the stay nonetheless. Would stay again

Great city centre hotel with valet overnight parking for only £15-a bargain in Manchester. Would definitely stay here again.

All round good hotel. Not my style of decor at all, very wooden and seemed a little dated, but this may just be down to my taste. Staff were friendly as expected. Close to shops and restaurants/bars plus the wheel if you would like to get an overhead view of Manchester. Good breakfast. Went to manchester for a trip with the other half.Normally stop in another hotel nearby but unable to get in at the last minute. Arrived early and was able to check in. Car parked for us at no extra cost (£15), and was able to leave the car after check-out to do some more shopping. Rooms clean and beds very comfy!!!

Having had hotel recommended as close to MEN and 'Manchester Life' . Made very welcome by courteous staff, very clean rooms etc. Drink prices not too over the top. Excellent Parking facilities, Great Breakfast. - Highly Recommend. Also try neraby Gaucho restaurant - Fantastic

We asked for a higher floor quiet room when we booked but got a first floor room by the lift (hotel was full due to the Labour Party Conference) so it was noisy throughout the night and early in the morning. The room was cold, despite putting the heating on full and the bed sheets inadequate so we were also woken with the cold throughout the night. […] Apart from that, the service was great and the accommodation roomy and comfortable as usual. You can't knock the location though - superb, and there's parking ... although the lift to get back up to the hotel lobby takes forever! Mehr

The hotel itself was in a great place for all attractions. The check in was good and informative. The hotel itself for the price , i felt was old and shabby. Walking down the corrider to our room you could smell damp and there was circle patches on the ceiling. The room itself was a good size, but the furniture was old and tired . The bathroom was dated […] with tiles from the 70's. There was a tv but you couldnt watch it in bed as it was angled in the wrong direction. Breakfast was available but as normal it was cheap products or tinned. Why do they do that ?? I wouldnt recomend this hotel or stay there again. Mehr

Fantastic hotel. Close to the Arndale shopping centre, and the Manchester Eye. Room was amazing and the beds were very comfortable.

The hotel was very easy to find and was central to all of the main attractions in Manchester. We were staying at the hotel for a friend's wedding and we were so pleased that we chose to stay in the hotel where they were having their reception, being able to go up to your room and change without leaving the hotel and paying for taxis to return was ideal. […] Also at the end of a very long day of eating fantastic food and drinking fantastic wine it was a joy to simply pop in the lift and go straight to your room. The breakfast on both mornings was superb and offered a full range for you to choose from. The hotel staff were extremely friendly and treated us very well. My only concern was that the air conditioning in our room didn't seem to keep our room very cool and was a little noisy, not sure if this was a problem with just our room or if this is the same across all rooms in the hotel. I spent a long weekend at this hotel with a friend .We didnt eat in the hotel as there were plenty of good restaurants within a 5 min walk There were three lifts in the hotel, two of which were out of order for most of our stay.AS we were on 6th floor and I have walking difficultie this was a problem also one day when we returned at 6pm after leaving […] hotel at 9am the room had not been serviced . It was a little difficult to find but when I contacted the hotel they gave me perfect directions. It is wonderfuly situated for the centre of Manchester. China town a 10 min walk. The best shops directly across the road. It did cost us £14 to park in the hotel car park, for a 1 night stay which I felt was a little steep although the car was secure. Breakfast […] was not included, and at £17 for the full breakfast with everything we found a fab family run cafe serving until 2pm which was great Mehr

Located at the corner of Market and Deansgate, this hotel puts you smack in the middle of shopping, dining, and entertainment, all hallmarks of Manchester City Center. The room is unusually large for the UK, with a KING BED (very rare)! The bathroom was spacious, though not as pristine as you might expect from the Renaissance brand. Service was exceptional, […] including ice/towel delivery, turn-down, and a knowledgeable front-desk staff. I recommend booking with the quality breakfast option, as the Full English Breakfast is every bit as satisfying as any American hot buffet. This was a fantastic weekend hotel stay! Mehr
