Das Hotel war toll! Wir waren sehr zurfrieden, das Personal sehr freundlich, das Zimmer super sauber. Zu Beginn hatte ich Bedenken, dass wir Flugzeuge etc. hören würden, aber gar nichts! Und grad paar 100m weiter liegt das Salzburger Design Outlet :) Wir waren rundum zufrieden!

"Eindeutig empfehlenswert"
Das Hotel selbst, auch der Empfang stellte mich sehr zufrieden. Für einen Tag ist auch der Wellnessbereich zufriedenstellend. Lediglich am Abend waren die Wartezeiten in Bar/Restaurant etwas lang. Die Umgebund ist nicht sehr ansprechend, aber der Weg in die Altstadt nicht weit. 5 Fußminuten zum Bahnof sind ein sehr großer Vorzug.

"Schönen Aufenthalt"
Im Großen und Ganzen gut. Zimmer hätte besseren Eindruck gemacht ohne den (uralten?!) Teppich. Bad o.K. Für nur eine Nacht in Ordnung.

Gutes Hotel, allerdings war im Frühstücksraum um 10h kein Platz zu finden. Das Frühstück ist teuer!

Die Zimmereinrichtung ist nicht gerade neu; jedoch sauber. Das Personal ist super freundlich. Das Hallenbad und die Sauna sind sehr gepflegt, aber auch schon älter. Das Hotel liegt 2 Gehminuten vom HBf entfernt; in der Altstadt oder an der Linzergasse hätte ich allerdings lieber gewohnt. Der Service war ausgezeichnet. Ende August war furchtbar heiss, aber die Klimaanlage im Zimmer hat gut funktioniert.

"Bettenproblem"
Im Prinzip ein tolles Hotel bei dem alles so ist, wie man es sich erwartet - jedoch mit kleinen Ausnahmen: - Das Bett war dermaßen weich, dass meine Gattin und ich am nächsten Morgen mit Rückenschmerzen aufgewacht sind. - Die Dame beim Checkout quittierte unsere dbzgl. Anmerkung ledglich mit der Anmerkung, dass das heute schon andere Gäste behauptet […] hätten. Keine Entschuldigung, nichts ... - In der Bar war es spätabends sehr, sehr kalt. Der Barkeeper begründete das mit einer offenen Tür. Na ja ... Wissen wärmt nicht unbedingt. Mehr

Guten Tag Ich habe folgendes festgestellt: der Fitnessraum is dreckig.Das Geraet mit seilzug funktioniert nicht einwandfrei.Das geraet für die Brust(was man maxmial auf 100 kilo einstellen kann)is nicht befestigt.Es rutscht nach vorne bei 100 kilo drücken.Die geraete muessen normalerweise alle am Boden befestigt sein.Der fernseher im Fitnessraum hat […] schlechten Empfang und es ist kein Radio vorhanden bzw Musikkanal. Bewertung Fitnessraum 2 In den Umkleideräumen sind die Spinde ohne Schluessel(wo bekommt man die Schluessel her). Die Leiter vom Schwimmbecken is locker. Die preise von der Minibar sind zu teuer(1 euro weniger waehre ok ) Was mir ueberhaupt nicht gefallen hat fuer Roomservice 10 euro?3 euro waehre völlig in Ordnung. Ich habe am Abend 1 Stunde auf mein essen gewartet und es war nicht heiss und zu wenig Fleisch.Es wurde mir erzaelt,dass nur 1 Koch in der Küche war und die Bar war voll,dass man da voellig ueberfordert ist ,ist selbstverstaendlich( 2Köche am Abend is Pflicht meiner meinung nach,ob viel oder nicht viel los ist,es kann ja immer passieren ,dass auf einmal die bar voll ist.Am nächsten tag sass ich auf der Couch und wartete auf meine Collegen.Es is mir auch aufgefallen,dass kein kellner zu mir kam und mich fragte ,ob ich irgendwas möchte. Jetzt zum Positiven. Das Frühstück war gut und der service sehr angenehm. Die Zimmer waren leise und man konnte sich dort gut ausruhen.Die Inneneinrichtung vom hotel hat mir sehr gut gefallen.Die Rezeption war sehr freundlich und Kompetent. Fuer Kongresse sehr zu empfehlen.Das Buffet am nächsten Tag war gut ,aber nicht alles frisch.Man hat den fertigen obstsalat geschmeckt und Kartoffelsalat(wenn man fertigen kartoffelsalat serviert,dann bitte temperieren) und noch andere sachen. Diese Kritik is nicht böse gemeint,aber es is mir halt aufgefallen,da ich auch aus der Gastronomie komme und ein bisel Ahnung habe. "Gute Lage um Salzburg zu erkunden"
Lage ist empfehlenswert, sehr gutes Frühstück, Badausstattung ist nicht mehr auf dem neuesten Stand.

Gesamt-Qualität des Hotels ausgezeichnet. Einzig die Lage ist nicht optimal (Bahnhofs-Umgebung), jedoch für die Güte des Hauses nicht sehr relevant. Etwas negativ zu erwähnen sind auch die relativ hohen Zusatz-Preise für Frühstücksbuffet (wenn auch ausgezeichnetes Angebot) und Parkgarage.

"Close to Hauptbahnhoff"
Courteous staff. Clean hotel. Excellent for access to train station...2 block bag-drag. Very much like a hotel found in America. Large bed, ice in hallway and close to the Forum shopping center, with cafes, grocery store, and even a McD's inside. In-room internet worked great, don't forget the log-in sheet from the front desk when you check-in.
"Nice hotel but not quite as central as expected"
Radisson Blu in Salzburg is a very nice hotel with high standard. The rooms were very nice and large and the beds were good. The only complaints are that it was not quite as centrally located as expected. Took 20 minutes to walk to centre and the breakfast was expensive (as often is the case). There was not any good external breakfast choices nearby […] that was nice (close to central station with less nice places). However, after 10 minutes walk we could find a nice breakfast place. "Radisson BLU -- Bad service, rooms, and location"
What this hotel has going for it: Hmm, I'll get back to that. What sucks: The rooms stink. Literally and figuratively. When I walked in and was greeted by the musty smell I would have walked away had I not already paid. It turns out that I should have just left and cut my losses. The next few bad surprises: -- Air conditioning didn't work, so I had […] to open the window (it was raining) to get the room below 78 degrees. -- The Wi-Fi costs 10 euros for 120 MINUTES! -- The pillowcases smelled of smoke. (Yes, I know almost everyone in Austria smokes, but selling non-smoking rooms are pointless if your pillowcases smell like ashtrays). -- There was mold/mildew around the edges of most fixtures in the bathroom. Nothing that a little scrubbing couldn't fix in a few minutes, if you had competent housekeepers. And in the morning... -- There was no soap in the bathroom. Called the front desk. Waited 35 minutes. Called again. Waited another 20 minutes. Finally, an hour later, I could take a shower. -- When the housekeeper did come, he/she took one of my socks with the laundry. Yes people, this is where your socks disappear to: crappy hotels. -- The hotel advertised a business center, so I went to use the computer there to check the weather in my destination. Wrong, still costs 10 euros for 120 minutes. Seriously? I could go on to talk about the microscopic pool, the views of the run-down casino across the street, or that it's probably the farthest hotel away from old-town in all of Salzburg, but I won't (okay, I just did--but believe me, I could go on) So right now you're probably wondering what the hotel had going for it... Well, nothing now that I think about it. It wasn't clean, it wasn't comfortable, it wasn't cheap, and the service wasn't good. Move along folks, nothing to see here. Mehr
"TERRIFIC HOTEL"
The facility, though geared for biz travelers was perfect for us. Easy walk from main train/bus terminal. Fabulously accomodating staff. Restaurant food and service was great (though fairly limited menu.) REALLY one of our favorites this trip.

"Raddison Blu, Salzburg - convenient"
The Raddison Blu is indeed an hotel for travellers to Salzburg. As a family we were able to walk from the station to the big and airy hotel within minutes and received a warm and friendly welcome. The room was good with very comfortable beds! and the bathroom spotlessly clean. the hotel is conveniently within walking distance to places of interest […] and the bus station a few minutes away. "New Year in Radisson Blu Hotel & Conference Centre"
For New Year celebration in Salzburg we stayed in Radisson Blu Hotel & Conference Centre Salzburg and we enjoyed it very much. Hotel is very nice hotel with a friendly most helpful staff and they serve an exellent breakfast. We had a late arrival and to our dissapointment it was not possible to get something to eat in the bar, although bar is open until […] 1 am. And the surroundings of the hotel were not helping very much. The distance to the centre is a bit far, which is not so much of a problem with good weather, but New Years Eve was more than chilly, so we really wished the hotel more closeby, because busses were full, taxi's unavailable. But after a warm shower we could step into a very comfortable bed. Overall we were vere satified with the hotel and would certainly recommend it. Mehr
"Not worth the money"
Stayed here during the NYE time and was disappointed with the relatively unhelpful front desk staff. Found the place not worth the money and it was a very basically kept up place with poor cleanliness. I would never stay here again especially as the location was mediocre at best.

"Superb Service"
We had been in Germany for 2 weeks in Sept with unseasonably hot weather and they don't have A/C in most hotels. So we choose a place w/ USA standards for a break from heat once we headed for Austria. The Raddison had A/C rooms and a POOL. Most hotels only have saunas. Room was comfy, very clean, a bit far from historical downtown, but bus line runs […] straight there. Salzburg is not huge, so nothing is terrible far anyway. The Raddison is close from coming in off the Autobahn highway which made it nice for getting settled in and back on the road. Also a city center next door w/ all from Mc D's, Europeon Cafe, to a grocery & mall shopping. Raddison is located in the modern part of Salzburg so it was nice to see comparison of the modern and historic city. If you don't want to spend $ on the Hotel Breakfast it's easy to grab an Egg McMuffin or a Europeon Pastry at the City Center. However the hotel food is wonderful! Your Souvenier SHopping for gifts like famous Mozart candy is way cheaper at that city center grocery versus downtown! Save your money for sight seeing places and buy chocolates there. Plenty of Beer Gardens or new day Sports bars nearby. Service was impecible! Front desk helped book our sight seeing tours and was very patiently w/ our English, & restaurant food was fabo w/ excellence wait service. We had a refrigerator, ice bucket (ice is fairly rare) and good tv channels. The price was very fair for all you receive at such a fine hotel with excellent service. So if you are not looking to be right downtown and still desire American expectations in your stay, this was a great deal. Parking is a pain in Euopre! Well New Yorkers may be used to it. Raddison provides VERY SAFE,secured private parking UNDER hotel. That is worth the fair parking daily fee for (probably) your (rental) car so you have no worries about safety or finding a spot each day. Convenient location near Hbf. Though bit of a walk (20 mins or so with kids) to the old town tourist area. Great when using Salzburg as a base for touring other nearby places. Very quiet rooms facing opposite to the main entrance. Service quality as one would expect from the likes of Radisson.
"Unpleasant experience in Hotel Radisson, Salzburg"
This is the first hotel where I had problems for early check-in. We are a family of 4 (2 adults and 2 children). While booking, I did mention that we will be arriving earlier. Inspite of all this, we were made to wait. I was given room only at the stated check in time, after waiting for 2.5 hrs. What they have done was as per rules. Agreed. But, I […] expected something better from a hotel which boasts as 4-star. They have given room at the stated check in time. There was a catch, the access cards were not working for good 20 to 30 mins. We had to stay in the dark inside the room. This hotel expects customer to adjust, when they themselves are not able to speed up and provide customer delight. Never in Europe, I have faced such problem before, for early check-in. The room was good and clean, spacious with 2 double beds. It was comfortable. Inspite of this, somehow, I have a strong feeling that Hotel Radisson staff gives a very cold response to its customers. 3 days before we were in another 4-star hotel in Budapest. The difference was quite obvious. I would think twice before choosing this hotel chain in future. Mehr

"Unfriendly staff"
I was travelling with a diabetic person under insulin medications, and the people at the restaurant were rude when we asked to store the insulin and the freezing pack. The man said we should buy our own refrigerator!!

I stayed here while attending to a family emergency and the staff were very helpful and friendly. I had to extend my stay 3 times and they ensured I got to keep my room each time. Except for a glitch with overcharging at the end of my stay staying here made my trip less stressful and I would certainly recommend it to anyone looking for a professional, […] friendly and modern hotel. This hotel worked out great for our family. It was clean and convenient to the train station. It is about a 15-20 minute walk to downtown. The neighborhood is mostly business and a little run down. But a short walk gets into nicer areas. The rooms were clean and comfortable.

Great place to stay...great area, 30 minutes walk to historic Salzburg! The staff was very helpful for all our questions. The internet was easily accessible and included in the price of the hotel. Overall, great experience!
Front desk staff nice, helpful. Overall, other staff - not helpful. Not exactly rude, but not nice either. Going by the name (Radisson), we expected good things. Room strictly ok. Service pathetic. Room service on an average took approx 40-50 mins and follow-up calls to get the simplest of things. Maybe because we stayed during the Christmas holidays […] - giving them the benefit of doubt; but still does not justify the fact that they did not serve notice about the service status if at all there were delays expected. Surprisingly, the room had no brochures, menus or other literature. To order food in the room, we had to ask for a menu - took 45 mins + 2 calls and by the time the MENU arrived, we had lost our appetite. The front desk told us that they do not have any printed literature since the last 3 months. Not something you expect to hear. No apology. Breakfast expensive for the kind of spread they offer. Very friendly and helpful staff, who remained cheerful despite coachloads of tourists descending on them. While not in the centre of town, this was reflected in the price and it was a pleasant 15 minute walk along the riverbank to reach the old town. It's not really a business hotel, but that was fine for our needs, although the lack of twin beds (despite […] being ordered) was annoying, given I was travelling with my 16 year old son. Apparently the hotel was so full that they had no flexibility to remedy this, beyond offering a free breakfast. Overall, it was good value and I would stay there again. Mehr

This a very convinient hotel if you are arriving by train. bus stop is also very close.We took bus to city center and it was only 5 minute ride. hotel facilities are good. This is one of few hotels in europe with 2 double beds in room and our children could sleep in same room.

We booked a non-smoking room. The room had a terrible smell of smoke. When we contacted the front desk, they stated the room was a non-smoking room, but they could not prevent people from smoking in it. The hotel turned the air conditioning off a little prematurely, making it impossible to sleep. The decor and cleanliness were both fine, the amenities were excellent, but the location made this the best choice for anyone traveling via train. Not only was the train station a block away, a laundromat and a mall were within a block as well. The hotel is only 3mins away from the central train station/bus station which is very convenient as we were taking daily trips to outside of Salzburg. the only downside is that the ventilation didn't seem to work in the bathroom, but since we were only staying for one night we didn't bother changing the room. overall we really enjoyed our stay at […] the hotel.
