Hat keine minibar, nur schampo und seife und kein bodylotion oder condisioner. Aber für den preis ganz okey.

Von einem 2.5 Sterne Hotel erwarteten wir ja nicht allzuviel. Aber Sauber sollten die Zimmer sein und nicht stinken. Die Sauberkeit war so lala, wenn man nicht allzu heikel ist geht es so knapp. Aber der Gestank im Zimmer war schlimm

Small, clean, had all the necessary amenities, and was minutes away from the orpheum and the commodore ballroom. overall very enjoyable stay, even for just one night.

This is a horrible, over-priced hotel. I paid for a room which I thought had "parking" included but it did not. So I gave the lady a $20 for the first nights parking. Next morning she called my room asking if I want parking for another day, so I said yes, just charge it on the card. When i went to check it she charged me for 2 nights of parking even […] though I already paid for one up front. I argued and still no change from them. The keycards always stop working which is inconvenient because I have to keep getting a new one. This place has horrible customer service and I will never go here again. Mehr

The room was clean, but because it's an old hotel the water pressure for the shower was very poor. Other than that the service was good and the location was great.

The photos on hotels.com were deceiving...the room pictured must have been the suite. Ours was much smaller but comfortable and clean. All you should really do in a hotel is sleep and have intercourse so you don't need a bunch of couches anyway. I opted to stay in this location because of its affordable cost and relatively close proximity to the location of the conference I was attending (~2.5km). Unfortunately, the hotel was quite run down and both the bathroom and the bedroom has visible black mould (that was also evident due to the stench). The fan in the window also had visible mould in […] and around it. Additionally, the hotel is located right next to a bar that proved to be incredibly loud and woke me up several times each night. Further, on my walk to the conference each morning, I walked by no less than 10 piles of vomit on the sidewalk each morning. Avoid this hotel at all costs and stay somewhere farther south and west. Booked wrong howard Johnson, by accident, but it was late and we were tired. Outrageous rates to park the car, outside, within throwing up distance of the worst part of granville. Dirty hotel with dated rooms. No conditioner.

This hotel is conveniently located for downtown Vancouver and is close proximity for shopping on Robson & Granville. We found the hotel very clean and all the amenities were well maintained. Our only issues was the finding out way into the parking lot which located behind the hotel, off the high street.

This hotel is ecxacly what it is for the price.. Very simple, small, bad bed sheets. But the location is excelent. So it all dependes of what u r looking for. If u r looking for best location, and cheap hotel.. This is the right place.

Stayed on a weekend, very loud and noisy. NO PARKING...It took us 45 min to find a lot to park in. They have one parking lot adjacent to the hotel but it was full (abt 20 spots total) and the concierge told us to drive around and look for a lot!

The location of the hotel is fine. It is near to bus stops. However, the stuff are aggressive and dis-respectable. There is a lady that almost shouted at me. They don't smile at all. I didn't have a very pleasant night coz you can hear the noise from outside the hotel. The room is so small and doesn't even have a comfy chair. The bathroom does't have a exhaust fan! In compare to the other hotel,they don't offer free breakfast. In fairness,this hotel location is good for the party lovers but not for families with small children.

Overall stay was worth $$ paid just due to hotel's location, close to DT, but it was the only positive thing about it. I stayed there for a week, on a day of departure I saw a mouse in my room! Also, the heating/AC unit needed a service, maybe changing a filter would help. I had a strange cough during all duration if my stay. It was getting worse at […] night and as soon as I moved out it stopped! I suspect it had something to do with the heating unit or the chemicals they use in a hallways/rooms? I didnt mentioned it to the staff as I was not too sure what is causing it but now I am certain it had a direct relation to the hotel or the room itself. The towels were changed daily, but the maid forgot to refill the coffee/tea once. Internet connections was very unstable, I could not use Skype for communicating with my family. Would not stay again. the location is very convenient if you for a place in downtown closed to most of the hot spots of the city. The room was surprisingly very clean and comfy. There are different options to eat some food around for a very good rapport quality/price

I recently stayed at the HoJo in Vancouver, in the cheapest room available, and I had a very positive experience. Friendly and helpful staff, clean, and the location is amazing! For the price I paid, I definitely feel that it was a worthwhile place to stay and would recommend this hotel to everyone.

The front desk staff were very helpful with attending to any needs we had. My only concern was the slowness of the wireless internet in our room which was on the second floor. Besides that, it has great access to Canada Line / YVR skytrain, a quick walk up Davies Street to English Bay and Stanley Park, and over all very accessible to the downtown c […] ore. Mehr

This hotel had a great location to all the clubs and restaurants. They had a convenient parking lot close to the hotel. The front desk agents were friendly. Great for the price if you just want to be central to all bars.

While it is a little 'sketchy' around the hotel on Granville Street, there are a lot of people out and about so it's really nothing to worry about. The hotel itself isn't anything special but it's a really good value and the rooms are clean and comfortable. As with most 'updated' properties these days, the LCD TVs are not adjusted properly and so in […] order to fill the screen, images are distorted. The remote doesn't allow this to be fixed... Parking is steep but that's the minimum you'll pay to stay in Vancouver, and remember that the price includes a whopping 36 per cent tax - not the hotel's fault. The only thing was the drapes didn't cover the window because of the AC stuck in the window. So had to pull them across the AC unit and tuck the one side into a door on the unit. OK after that. Great location. Close to many places to eat or drink or shop.

Good stay overall. The rooms aren't big or fancy, but the hotel is clean, the bathroom is fully functional, no problems with hotel use, and great location. You feel safe and secure and clean, but not huge on amenities (you get what you pay for). Received bug bites 3 of the 4 nights I stayed. Before the 4th night I made sure I spoke to the front desk and housekeeping to ensure the sheets were changed. Once I notified them, the seemed to make an effort to fix the problem.

Its not a dance place but it does the trick! It's in a great location right in the heart of Granville street. If you are just needing a place to sleep this place is perfect!!

i stayed to attend the AME round-up, a bit far away for walking, but $8.00 for a taxi i suppose was not too bad

I recently stayed at the Howard Johnson over the weekend to catch a Canucks a game. Its not too far from the Yale-town-Roundhouse sky train which made coming in from the airport a breeze. It is centrally located downtown on Granville which was great for the nightlife and needing any food over beverages, The service isn't top notch but they do an adequate […] job. however this time I was miss-charged and while in my room they gave the exact room to another guest and he happened to walk in my room when I was taking a nap - Awkward!! Luckily I woke up) However putting that aside I had a okay stay, like I mentioned earlier your right on Granville so if noise bothers you, you may want a different hotel as the nightlife on Granville can get pretty loud - I brought earplugs and didn't get disturbed much after that. Overall a decent play to say, centrally located and good place for heading out to enjoy the nightlife of Vancouver. Mehr

I stayed in December 2011 over the christmas and New Year period and found that the location of this hotel makes it great for exploring the downtown area as everything is with in walking distance and it is on the main bus routes in and out of the downtown area. The hotel itself is clean and comfortable, the staff were always friendly. There is no hotel […] bar, although there are many restaurants and bars in the surrounding streets. Only bad comment would be the club that is next to the hotel. If you are looking for an early night then I would recommend taking a pair of ear plugs as on the occasion I decided to head to bed early (New Years Day), I was able to hear the music from the club clearly in my room. Location is pretty key .

Price was good for the location. Rooms are a little small though, it's what you'd expect for the price.

The Location is great right in the middle of the going out area. We were there for New Years Eve and all the places we went were about 2 blocks away was awesome.

We stayed in this hotel for a concert at Rogers Arena because one of us lives in Hope and the other in Maple Ridge, for a reasonable price we got a decent room in the heart of downtown Vancouver. Would definately stay again, thank you. Kevin

if you want to go and spend a night on the town in vancouver in an affordable way. the rooms are big, but its secure, and a place to crash once your partying night is over
