Vibe Hotel Sydney - Sydney

Das Hotel ist ideal gelegen, um die Stadt zu Fuss zu erkunden. Die U-Bahn ist aber auch nur 5 Minuten zu Fuß entfernt. Wir hatten ein geräumiges Zimmer - alles wunderbar!

Für uns ideal war die Lage dieses Hotels: nicht in vorderster Front einer trubeligen Touristengegend, aber so zentral, dass man zu Fuss innerhalb max. 10 - 15 Minuten an den Hauptattraktionen z.B. am Circular Quay, Darling Harbour oder in Kings Cross etc. sein konnte. Unser Zimmer war großzügig und sauber, entsprach den Bildern der Internetseite. Auch […] die bei Buchung nicht vorgesehene Mitübernachtung unseres Sohnes war in dem Raum kein Problem und wurde vom Personal auch umgehend ermöglicht. Der Fitnessbereich und Pool auf dem Dach ist zwar klein aber ansprechend und wurde von uns gern genutzt. Mehr

Der Aufendhalt im Vibe Hotel war alles in allem ganz OK. Das Zimmer war sauber, im Bad war alles vorhanden (Shampoo, Duschgel etc.). und das Personal war freundlich. Alle Sehenswürdigkeiten waren zu Fuss gut zu erreichen. Oper und Bridge ca. 1/2 Stunde, der Heyde Park gleich einen Häuserblock weiter. Bemängeln muss ich den Internetzugang. W-Lan im Zimmer […] kostet 24 Dollar für einen Tag, und die Rechner in der Lobby waren so lahm wie man es nur noch aus alten Modemzeiten kennt. Und das bei Preisen von 2 Dollar für 20min. Ansonsten ist der Aufendhalt wenn der Preis wie in unserem Fall stimmt, immer zu empfehlen. Mehr

Das Hotel ist einigermassen chic, sauber und hat eine Top Lage; man kommt in der City fast überall zu Fuss hin.

Nettes Zimmer, sauber und ordentlich, kein Waschservice, allerdings sind Waschsalons in der Nähe vorhanden, gute Lage zwischen Downtown und Surrey Hills, Wände sind etwas dünn, hatten das Pech neben einer kinderreichen Familie zu sein.

sehr zentral gelegen. alle sehenswürdigkeiten sind zu fuss schneller zu erreichen als mit dem bus . Das Zimmer in der 9. Etage war sehr grosszügig ausgestattet. Auf gleicher Ebene befand sich der Pool und das Fitnesscenter.

Sauberes und sehr zentral gelegenes Hotel mit modernen, komfortabel ausgestatteten Zimmern.

Tolles Hotel, bester Service, gute Zimmer, nur knapp 3 km bis zur Oper solch ein hotel wünscht man sich in jeder Großstadt

Das Vibe Hotel liegt geografisch sehr gut in der Nähe der Central Station und der City, alles ist sehr gut erreichbar. Auch wenn das Hotel an einer viel befahrenen Strasse liegt, so war es am Abend und in der Nacht doch sehr ruhig in den Zimmern. Das Personal war sehr freundlich. Das Morgenbuffet war vielfältig und der Esssaal sehr angenehm. Einzig […] die Abendkarte lies punkto Angebot und Vielfältigkeit etwas zu Wünschen übrig. Für Europäer ist es in den Wintermonaten relativ kalt, da nicht viel oder gar nicht geheizt wird. Etwas schade war noch, dass unsere beiden Zimmer weder nebeneinander noch auf der gleiche Etage lagen. Aber nach Nachfragen an der Reception erhielten wir wenigstens Zimmer auf dem gleichen Stockwerk. Leider gibt es einzelne Zimmer mit Sicht auf eine düstere Querstrasse ohne direktes Sonnenlicht und dies zum gleichen Preis! Am Besten auch hier nachfragen, ob es ein anderes Zimmer möglich ist. Der Internet-Zugang ist im Vergleich zu Schweizer Hotels nicht gratis, sondern sogar teuer, wenigstens war die Geschwindigkeit akzeptabel und Video-Telefonie via Skype war ohne Probleme möglich. Alles in allem ein sehr gutes Hotel, welches aber auch seinen Preis hat, aber dank der sehr guten Lage empfehlenswert ist. Mehr

Hi! For the price I think you get what you pay for and a little more. And regarding the "200 dollar deposite" I don´t think there´s a problem, are several hotels that use that policy and there´s no problem about it, if you don+´t use the minibar or thrash the room you´ll get it back, don´t worry about it. Location: Feels absolutely safe. About 30 min […] walking to Circular quay and darling harbour and just a couple of min with the metro that´s within a min walking distance. Cleanliness of room: Great (95%), but some small refurbishing could have been nice (rug a bit worn in the entrance, airinlet dusty and could use some vacuumcleaning). Quality of service: Great, they will help you out with everything you ask for so no worries there but the servicemind can vary from person to person as with all places, 95% satisfied. It was a nice stay. All of the staff were really nice except when i ordered room service the person on the other end wasn't spectacular. Everything was clean except one of the chairs in the room was stained.

Provided everything I needed for my short stay. Location and facilities were very good.

I was disappointed, when walking into the 'master suite', which i decided to upgrade to. the pictures and description was nothing like i expected, it also stated a kitchen with appliances, which were not in the room, i feel we were perhaps not given a master suite, and perhaps placed in an executive room. The staffs are helpful and the room is clean.

I only had one night in Sydney and I am glad I stayed at Vibe. It was one block away from the train (which was helpful for a tourist like me) and 15 min from the airport. They bumped me up to a family sized room (since was Easter), which was cool. I loved how the hotel was walking distance from a bunch of great things (15 min walk to Darling Harbor, […] 2 blocks from New Hyde Park, lots of great coffees shops and Pie Face - with their amazing meat pies). I would def stay again when I go back to Syndey. Mehr

The Vibe on Goulburn was comfortable, clean, good value and convenient location. Front desk needs more people and the servers in cafe seemed to be on a learning curve..food was very good both there and in room service

They pretend to have a modern and high level standard hotel but it is just fake, so well below expectations. Don't get fooled by the flashy pictures, it is cheap furniture, the beds are small (even in the suites) and if you are on the 2nd floor it can be very noisy due to heavy traffic. We were upgraded to a suite which was very large but the bed was […] tiny and the bathroom was awful and covered with mould. And if that was not enough, we haven't felt so unwelcome when checking in a hotel. The receptionist was the worst we have ever met. You just feel like a number and don't expect a smile. Should you leave your bags at reception after check out, be prepare to label them yourself and carry them to their storage room. The only good thing about this place is the great location. But I would strongly advise not to stay there. Mehr

Close to Darling Harbour, shops and Circular Quay all within walking distance. The room was nice and big although Wifi very expensive and not that strong. Nice and quiet and convenient to have the little cafe next door. As with a lot of accommodation in Australia it is expensive but compared to other hotels I would say good value for money.

The Vibe Hotel was amazing!! We can't recommend this place enough! At check in we mentioned we were on our honeymoon and got two complimentary coupons for breakfast at the Curve cafe downstairs (the breakfast was delicious by the way!) We also got a corner room which we suspect may have been an upgrade as well :) The room was bright and sunny and the […] bed was extremely comfortable! The room had a safe which was very easy to use and we loved the shower/bathtub! Overall it was a great experience. We will definitely stay at the Vibe again next time we're in Sydney! Mehr

The Vibe Hotel Sydney is in a great location and the staff were amazing. Very friendly, very accommodating and kind. I would highly recommend booking this hotel.

The hotel is conveniently located near Central station and within easy reach of the CBD, Chinatown and Surry Hills. The room was nice enough, but the corridors and walls looked like they need to be refurbished.

Nice hotel with a good view from the terrace at the top of the hotel. In walking distance to Chinatown, parks and harbour

This hotel has a policy of freezing $200 on your credit card when you check in. 'We release it two or three days later if there are no charges, like mini bar.' On check in and again on check out, I protested about this and was told that it is 'policy' but that if I told them the name of my bank they would send a fax to release the frozen funds. I […] have never encountered this policy previously (over 40 years or international travel). So I will not be going back to Sydney Vibe, though otherwise it suits my needs when in Sydney. Mehr

The Hotel staff was excellent and the rooms are clean and confortable. Would recommend for anyone.

The Vibe on Goulburn in Sydney is stylish , well run,and well located for easy access to the must sees in Sydney .We loved the roof top pool and lounging area as well as the fitness center off the pool and sitting decks. Internet accesss is costly in room but the lobby has coin operated computers and it is one dollar per 10 minutes , so that was satisfactory. […] Security was good . In order to access your floor you must use your card in the elevator. BE WARNED the Vibe Hotel charges all guest a $200 pre-authorisation (as good as taking the funds, as it is a deposit) upon check-in, despite paying upfront and this is not noted by hotels.com, and not made clear in these terms & conditions. "Government-issued photo identification and a credit card or cash deposit are required at check-in for incidental […] charges" - Hotels.com, suggests like many other hotels the credit card is kept on file, NOT pre-authorised through your stay. I found the staff to be extremely rude regarding this matter, and still as I write about this matter on consumer reviewed sites, I still receive hostile responses. Would not recommend. Mehr

This was an excellent choice and quite a surprise. It's close to Goulburn St Parking Station and the rates are very reasonable. The hotel itself was very comfortable with a cafe downstairs for breakfast. Chinatown and George Street are a few minutes away and buses are close by as well. Central and Town Hall stations are both less than 10 minutes walk. […] And it has an airport shuttle. I'd def. stay there again. Mehr

The hotel had no idea about our booking. Took for ever to get into our room while they mucked around trying to work out our booking. Than in the morning we had to fight with them to get them to honer the breakfast part of the deal. Very average overall.

Great shopping close by. Good pubs and nightlife. Parking paid for through the hotel halved the cost of the parking station ticket. Staff friendly and efficient. Have stayed in Vibe Hotels before, always consistent. This is a good choice.

Given the rates that we pay and the overall rating of the hotel, it is worth what you pay for. However, there are still rooms for improvement (eg. a sound-proof wall or window, shower head and taps).

The VIBE is very well located and has clean spacious, quiet rooms but the stay was spoiled by the horribly uncomfortable bed. The springs were noisy every time we rolled over and the mattress sunk in the middle.Well overdue for replacement.

Pretty happy with our hotel stay. The room was quite nice with all amenities needed and of decent size. The showers are amazing! Nice pool and rooftop area a good escape from the buzz of the city. Only a few negative comments. We did request to be on the same floor as friends a fair few weeks prior to our stay which didn't end up happening. Reception […] did give us drinks vouchers to accommodate this. The air conditioning was very noisy and couldn't be kept on overnight. The iron was not so great and leaked water and left grate marks of the ironing board all over my dress. Overall all pretty happy with the Vibe. I would stay there again but not if I was going for a romatic weekend away. Mehr

Great location,We arrived at 12pm ,not due to check in untill 2pm , were offered to check in at 12pm NO extra CHARGE . This never happens . Friendly helpfull staff .Clean rooms ,highly recommend , On main bus route, to City (5min) Circular Key 10 min. Will stay on our next visit to Sydney.

We just returned home from Australia only 2 days ago! We spent 4 nights in Sydney at the Vibe and really enjoyed the hotel. For the price we spent, we were surprised by how modern and nice the hotel was. We actually used the gym which only has a few cardio machines plus weights but it did the job. There is a small pool and a sauna on site. My only […] recommendation to the hotel is to replace their mattresses with ones that are more comfortable. Other than that I was pleased with the size of the room, the amenities and the location of the hotel. Darling Harbour is about a 15-20 minute walk and Circular Quay is about 20-30 minutes away but it's a nice walk with a lot to see. There is also a free bus nearby which runs during the earlier part of the day. You can also take a taxi if you prefer not to walk. I would stay here again if I ever went back. Mehr

Good place to stay for 6 days holiday with family. the room is tidy. but the air condition is not cold enough! and dont have the microwave to reheat our takeaway food...
