Wir waren hier zwei Nächte auf unserer USA Rundreise. Der Empfang mit Begrüßungsdrink war super! Außerdem hat man uns ausführlich erklärt, wo man wie hinkommt und was man sich anschauen soll. Zum Walk of Fame waren es gerade mal 5 Minuten zu fuß! Grifftith Observatory und Unisversal STudios in unmittelbarer nähe mit dem auto zu erreichen. Frühstück […] war auch super - sollte jedoch auf der Terasse oder auf dem Zimmer eingenommen werden - da konnte dann eben nur einer sitzen. Zimmer ein wenig klein und hellhörig. parkplatz kostet 10 dollar am tag - ist aber dafür in der abgeschlossenen tiefgarage! ach ja und cool war auch - die mini bar war umsonst --> in der lobby!! Was soll ich nur alles schreiben!? Es war ein tolles Hotel mit einer vorzüglichen Lage zu den heißen Sehenswürdigkeiten am Hollywood-Boulevard! Zudem kam ein außerordentlich freundliches und stets bemühtes Hotelpersonal was Informationen bzw. Auskünfte betraf! Location is very ideal as it is just a short walk to the some of the main attractions of Hollywood, the Walk of Fame, Kodak Theatre and Grauman's Chinese Theater. Food and shopping are aplenty. Service of the hotel staff are impeccable! They gave recommendations on which tours to follow and even gave us suggestions on where to eat for dinner as we checked-in […] in the evening. The free snacks and DVDs were a great touch especially for a 10 year old kid! We had the one bedroom suite and it was just nice for our family of 4. Would absolutely recommend this place to friends and if we ever return to LA, we'd definitely stay here again! Mehr

The staff are friendly and welcoming, the free snacks enjoyable and the selection of movies comforting. The pool and location provide entertainment for kids as well as adults. Just a block away from Grauman's Chinese Theatre and Madame Tussauds, its convenient and easy to see all the stars.

From the start, the hotel staff was by far the best staff I have ever dealt with. The suite my girlfriend and I stayed in was way beyond our expectations and at such an inexpensive price. They offer free DVDs, snacks, and drinks. The location cannot be beat if touring Hollywood. I will definitely come back to this hotel next time I'm around the LA area. […] I highly recommend it! We only stayed two nights but were provided with such service we were wishing to be able to stay more. Staff truly understand stand the concept of the hospitality industry. We recommend that if you are looking for affordable accom near all the buzz of Hollywood book with Magic Castle.

I found this hotel because the big conference center hotel around the corner screwed up my reservation and didn't have a room for me. I am so happy that happened! I got to the Magic Castle Hotel and was immediately calm. The front desk staff were immensely friendly and helpful, the inner courtyard of the hotel with the pool, the chairs and tables, the […] balconies overlooking it, made me feel like I was on vacation. I was treated like a long lost friend or a dearly loved family member and it made a very hectic, frustrating day a million times better. They offered me a whole list of free snacks/beverages, an enormous list of DVDs for borrowing, went above and beyond in accommodating me (I had to leave before the complimentary breakfast was to begin and they offered to set something aside for me so I could have breakfast before I left). Although my room was fairly small and right on the street (what do you expect for a last-minute room in a very busy town on a huge conference weekend?), it was clean, comfortable and quieted down once the evening traffic died down. The down comforter was dreamy, the bed and pillows very comfortable, and the access to everything was phenomenal. Overall, a fantastic place where I felt extremely comfortable and welcome. Next time I have a conference there, I will skip the big corporate hotel and go straight for the Magic Castle. Mehr

We would recommend this hotel to every one the staff are excellent .The location is great for getting to Hollywood Boulevard and all sights attached to Hollywood. definately 11 out of 10 for service

Wow what a fantastic place to stay! Fabulous genuinely friendly staff, delicious breakfast, great location - but most of all it was all the little touches that are frequently over looked that really made this stay for us.

First the Good: The staff are excellent, you get a nice complimentary breakfast, you get free nibbles for the room and it's a vey nice heated swimming pool. The Bad: The Hotel rooms are in desperate need of upgrading (not just a coat of paint). The pullout sofa bed was very shabby and not very clean. The carpets are stained and the shower/bath was […] not very clean. It's a great shame because the staff really are very good and the hotel is in a great area. Impressed with the location and the staff are very helpful. Good continental breakfast and also snacks available throughout the day. One bedroom suite was very large and very clean. The decor is rather dated in the rooms and really the bathroom needs replacing with modern equipment. However although dated, it was very clean throughout. I originally kept bypassing this hotel because of the name and thinking it must be a Disney themed hotel. Because the location was perfect for my event, I decided to read about it and realized that it is a boutique hotel which is exactly what I wanted. I found the age and retro feel a pleasant change of pace and the stark and clean suite was beyond […] my expectations. The staff was very personable, friendly and accommodating. The spiced cider and cookies is a nice touch and the continental breakfast offered a nice variety. The suite I had was in front, next to the street, so I did have a lot of street noise and I would request another room if I return. The Magic Castle Hotel is in the heart of Hollywood close to the walk of fame and the Metro Station. It is convenient for all the major sites and easy to drive from. It is attached to the Magic Castle club which you can access but booking in advance is a must and be sure to check out the dress code. There is plenty to eat and drink nearby including […] "Yamashiro" which is a high end Japanese Restaurant with pleasant gardens and great views from most of the tables. The Hotel will even give you a lift there as the hill may be quite steep for lofty heels or those who like their Sake! There are, I would guess about 30 - 40 rooms at the Magic Castle which are mostly suites. They are very roomy and have everything you need and there are a few smaller standard rooms. The hotel service is the stand out feature and is excellent; we were there for 4 days so saw a fair few straff and we threw quite a few things at them. They always went out of their way to go the extra mile. Nice touches are unlimited complimentary snacks, sweets and soft drinks together with free DVD rentals many with local themes and links. They also offer complimentary continental breakfast and snacks and cider in the afternoon. The pool is outdoor but open and heated 24hrs it catches the sun throughout the day so it was usable when we were there for new year. It is an ideal base for that part of the world and would especially suit families even though it was just the wife and me. I think it's great value and would recommend it heartily. Mehr

A great place to stay. Staff are helpful and friendly.

The good - The location is very good if you are wanting to see downtown Hollywood. We walked to the main area in two minutes. -Staff is excellent. Very friendly and helpful -The pool area has a comfortable Melrose Place tv show feel. The Bad- Don't book this hotel thinking it's a magical place like the main picture shows. That castle is a club that […] is next door and right now has a big blue tarp covering the room. -Rooms are a little dated. Reminded me of going into a hotel back in the 70s. Not sure when hotel was built but it's fairly dated. -we had ants in our bathroom which they did promptly go spray. Sadly that left a smell in room. I'm not real picky when it comes to hotels. I stayed at the Magic Castle Hotel, and was thoroughly blown away! The hotel is in a great spot with easy access walking to Hollywood blvd. A short drive to Griffin Park, and the Hollywood sign. The rooms are very spacious and neatly appointed. The Staff are the real stars at this place. I have never had people so eager to assist with our every need. […] It made me feel like royalty. Not very magical, it's a bit out dated. You have to carry luggage to rooms (no elevators). the photo of the castle is a night club, the actual hotel is downstairs. Overall it's too pricey for the quality.

Service was wonderful. You get a lot of free stuff including snacks, sodas but no water. Hotel however looks like a motel. The bathrooms are very outdated, we felt like we had a flashback to the 80s. No elevators either, you have to carry your luggage up the stairs although the gentleman at the front desk helps to carry them up if you ask him to. Breakfast, heated pool (29 degrees), free snacks, friendly staff, free DVD rental, free loan umbrella's and a short walk from Hollywood Blvd! Cannot fault this hotel- would absolutely stay again. As our flight was a very late one, Magic Castle offered complimentary late checkout and luggage minding. Would definitly recommend to those looking for 3-4 […] star accomodation. Mehr

Wonderful service and fantastic location. Highly recommend!

Great location, staff always happy and very accomodating, nothing was ever an issue. Kids and us loved the open snack bar - all we had to do was ask reception or give them a list of snack requests and it was ready within minutes. lovely bfast included (toast, muffin,fresh fruit, yogurt, cereal, 3 types of juices, skim and full fat milk, coffee, choice […] of teas) choice to eat bfast pool side or in your room. Pool was fantastic, pool toys and games were supplied, kids were offered ice blocks every time they were in the pool, reception just came out and offered them to everybody. Cant fault hotel, their service or staff. Parking was $20/day, this was very reasonable considering the location. very very large rooms we had 2 seperate bedrooms and a huge lounge/family room, kitchen and bathroom. We stayed at the hotel for 4nights. First night was not pleasant as we did not get the room we booked due to double booking (as advised by staff when called in to confirm booking). However the staffs were very apologetic and promised to make the rest of our stay very memorable. My kids enjoyed staying here, especially the pool. This hotel provided all […] the things we needed. As a family with small children it was great to have complimentary breakfast each morning, saves the hassel of searching for a place to eat. The location was convenient as its very close to the Hollywood Boulevard. Just a short distance walk. Definitely would recommend any one with family to stay here. Very friendly place in a great location

We originally booked Magic Castle Hotel to take advantage of the club but didn't end up going. The Hotel is absolutely perfect for familes since they are converted apartments with kitchen, sleeper sofa in the bedroom and a bedroom. They are situated around a pool that is open 24 hours (as long as you are quiet at night). The underground parking garage […] is just down a few steps. I suggest requesting a first floor room like ours which was so convenient. Only issue, if you call it that, is the freshner they use is a little strong and we were at first put off by that. By the room was immaculate and we got used to that. The staff is wonderful. It is no accident that they are friendly & helpful. It is obvious they are trained for this and take hospitality seriously. They will offer a nice champagne glass of juice when you arrive. Best of all is the 24 hours a day FREE snacks. Sodas, candies, chips, water...whatever. All you have to do is ask. Once the kids find out you won't see them anymore. Also free DVD loaners to go with those snacks. They were happy to print our tickets which I emailed to them and are great about giving directions. Finally the location couldn't be more perfect. 1 block to Hollywood Blvd. 2 blocks to the subway. 10 minutes during rush hour to Universal Studios. There is a little park across the street and of course the Magic Castle next door. It took us less than 15 minutes to go for a late night dinner in Chinatown and less than that to Fairfax Farmer's market and Melrose for shopping. Overall I highly recommend Magic Castle Hotel.and wil defiantely return during our next visit to LA. Mehr

Our expectations of this hotel were exceeded and it was a bummer we were only able to stay one night there! The staff at the Magic Castle were extremely friendly and helpful, We enjoyed our short stay.

This hotel is located close to Kodak Theater and you can easily walk there, less than 10 minutes walk. The hotel looks like an apartment building before, the room that I had has a full living room, full kitchen, dining area, changing/dressing area ... it's like a one bedroom apartment. They keep everything clean which is the most important thing for […] me when I search for hotel. Hotel stafff is very friendly, my room wasn't ready when I arrived but they hold my bag and brought it to the room as soon as its ready. They welcome me with a glass of sparkling lemonade in a champagne glass :) There's fruit and watermelon water in the lobby as well. They provide breakfast, which I could comment since I didnt have time to try it and also free snacks that you can request at the front desk anytime. One negative thing about my experience staying at the hotel is the water temperature; it kept changing from hot and cold - it's not fun taking a shower and suddenly the water get so cold or so hot. I booked this hotel after the rave reviews on trip advisor but was incredibly disappointed. The picture of the castle is misleading, its not the hotel at all. We arrived v late after being stuck in a terrible traffic jam coming from Las vegas and I had to make up the sofa bed for my son myself. The room was very scruffy, neither of us fancied a bath […] or shower due to its appearance plus there were ants all over the basin and floor. My room faced onto the street and it was extremely noisy but the air conditioning unit was so old and made such a noise I had to have my window open and hardly slept a wink. My sons pull out sofa bed was in the front sitting room where again the fridge made such a racket he could hardly sleep and guests using the pool at 11pm didnt help either. I booked the hotel as a birthday treat as it was my birthday the next morning. I was extremely disappointed and certainly will not be staying there again. Mehr

We loved this place!! The location was great for us, the staff accommodating and friendly, great breakfast choice and free mini bar (chocolates and soft drinks). This was our favourite hotel in America that we stayed at

We stayed there in August, the staff was very friendly and the room nearly as big as an apartment (we were 2 adults and 1 child, 12. Breakfast was okay, but not very luxurious, the hotel is only one block from Hollywood Blv and one metro train stop from Universal City (perfect for the studio tour), so you don't need a car all the time. The "Magic" of […] the hotel is only open to visitors of the magic circle situated in the complex (entry fee & breakfast or dinner). Mehr

If you're looking for a luxurious place in LA then this may not be the place for you. Their service however is outstanding and beats a 5 star. The rooms are 1 bedroom suites equipped with a kitchen. You can always ask for candy, soft drinks chips etc at the reception and they'll be more than happy to make you a snack bag to et you goin for your road trips. This hotel was amazing! We were greeted with a glass of fresh lemonade and checked in by two of the nicest people we have come across, Nick and Lisa. No issue was too small and there was free snacks all the time. The pool was 24hrs which made such a difference after being in Las Vegas where it was much hotter and the pool was closed at 7.00pm. Great Hotel in a fantastic location. Within walking distance of Hollywood Blvd and ability to get to all major attractions with ease. Staff are fantastic and nothing is too much trouble for them. This was one of the best hotels we have visited. It is small is size but big in location, service and value with staff that could not have been more helpful. Just one block from Hollywood Boulevard, Graumann's and the Kodak theatres and tour buses made sightseeing easy. The first glimpse of this hotel does not do it justice. It was originally a 1950's apartment block but has been totally renovated inside. I emailed the hotel prior to arrival and got a very prompt, helpful and informative reply. The service we experienced during our stay was first class, from the cleaners to reception staff to management. Our one bedroom […] apartment had a radio alarm clock with iPod dock and safe in the bedroom, the living area was spacious and comfortable with a big TV. The air-conditioning was very effective. The kitchen was fully equipped and clean but we didn't really need to use it because the complimentary breakfast was extensive and very pleasant served by the pool. The location was quiet and one block from Graumanns Chinese Theatre and Hillywood Boulevard Walk of Fame. This hotel was definitely the best find and we would highly recommend it. Mehr
