Sleep Inn Airport - Kansas City

OK for the price, but had many problems. Room was musty smelling, even being a non-smoking room, and the A/C was so noisy, I had to leave it off to be able to sleep. Did have nice new flat screen TV, small refrigerator, microwave, and the free airport shuttle was great. Free breakfast was only OK, with biscuits & gravy, hard boiled eggs, cook yourself […] waffle, and assorted fruits, cereals, and sweet rolls, with coffee, tea, juices or milk. Free overnight parking is available, but if you want to leave the car there for the day, it was an extra fee. A few good resturaunts within close distance, was a nice amenitiy. Only 5 minutes from the airport, so if you need a good airport location, it's great. Mehr

The room looked great but the shower door wouldn't close and the shower head didn't put out the water right.

Let us check in at 2am. Woke up at 8am. Picked up Bek at airport. Went back to hotel had an amazing breakfast. Checked out. Will Stay again

I was looking to lower my cost to my stay in Kansas City. I checked out a couple lower end hotels.... and they were just that. The Sleep Inn was clean and the room was neat as a pin. I must say i read a lot of reviews on this hotel and I was hoping that the few that were bad were not really true, BUT they were. The hotel had a really bad smell, MOLDY!!! The room was not bad, clean. The beds, comfortable, BUT the water pressure/ shower head was the worst. It's very frustrating jumping in to take a shower and the sink has better pressure […] than the shower, it's not like you are going to get out and call the front deck, you just have to deal, sooooo frustrating!!! I will say the breakfast was fabulous, Hot waffles, coffee, hard boiled eggs, gravy and biscuits and even more. Mehr

The hotel is clean, the staff is friendly and helpful. The shuttle to the airport is efficient. Glad I stayed here and will plan to do so in the future when I have an early flight out of MCI. Thank-you to all the staff.

For the price, and being near the airport, you're not going to find too many other bargains like this one.

The right price for a clean comfortable room Tha shuttle to and from airport was key. The delicious breakfast was a great surprise. The staff was friendly and helpful! We will use this hotel every time we travel through Kansas City. Thank you!

I was looking for a cheap hotel for one night and I definately found it! The worst part was the Cigarette smoke!! I reserved a non-smoking room but the ventilation system must hook to the smoking rooms because it was horrible! The bed was ok, and the room was clean. The con-breakfast was standard.

This is the second time I have stayed at this Sleep Inn. It's only about five miles from the Kansas City Airport and is very easy to get to. Both stays the staff was friendly and helpful. I had dogs both stays and was put in their rooms designated for such. The rooms were clean and I would not have known they were utilized by guests with pets if I had […] not already been made aware of the fact. The hotel is clean with a pool and small fitness room. The continental breakfast has both hot and cold items, juice, coffee, pastries, and starts serving at 5:30 am, which is great for people with early flights. I have been very satisfied with both my stays and am making this my regular stop-over place for my late arrival/ early departure from MCI. Mehr

Staff was exceptionally courteous upon registration and offering airport parking/shuttle service. Rooms are well kept and modern. I small bathroom had a shower stall only, which was fine and makes a lot of sense for a motel. The cost is on the low end, but the service and quality, including a continental breakfast, is anything but low budget. This hotel was hard to find using a gps. The streets are not marked. They advertised free parking but it had to pay to park and fly. I was not impressed by the service. I stood out in the cold for 20 minutes after calling for a shuttle, and than had to chase them down. The room had a foul odor, the remote to the television didnt work. The location was near the airport, and the shuttle service was convenient both to and from our flights. Also, the hot breakfast before leaving got us off to a good start for our vacation.

Stayed here on December 15th 2011. Had a 2 Double Bed room - My girlfriend and I were in the bed closest to the window and my sister was in the bed closest to the door. The next day my sister broke out with bites on all areas where her skin was exposed (face, neck, arms, legs, hands, feet). These bites lasted about a week and made her not comfortable […] to go out in public. We can say with reasonable certainty that this hotel was responsible because the only place she had slept before (or after) that was her own bed in her apartment and has never had any such issues. The hotel staff was not helpful in dealing with the issue. I left messages for the manager and my calls were not returned. Only when I called back was I able to get any response but never even got to talk to a manager. They told me they had "a guy" who "knew what he was doing" go check the room and adjacent rooms and did not find any evidence of bed bugs. They said they were sorry this happened but claimed it was not their fault and did not offer any kind of refund. I am fortunate my girlfriend and I avoided the bites. When we got back to our place we used the garage as a staging area to quarantine all our clothes/bags etc. (I read the bugs can travel in your suitcases). We were very diligent about not bringing anything that could be bugged into the house until it was thoroughly cleaned. Maybe this act saved us but it is not something I like to do when paying for a hotel room. Mehr

It was so inexpensive, and it was kept up so well, very clean, very organized. Great staff and great location.

Easy, quick and cheap. Achieved my purpose for a overnight stay. Nice living areas, room was cleaned with plenty of fresh towels. Afternoon/Evening staff was not friendly at all, but the morning staff was kind. Airplane shuttle was exactly on time and got us to the airport promptly. Breakfast was disgusting, but an overall nice stay

Fine for a night before a flight. Beware though!!!! They advertise complimentary parking but only the first and last nights are free - they charge for any other nights. Very misleading on their website.

Our family stayed over night in order to catch an early flight the next day. The staff was very friendly and the room was nice, and we were able to leave our car for a slight charge for the week. Great location and rate for north Kansas City. Our room was clean and warm over New Years weekend. The staff was friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was "over the top" with delicious selections and convenience.

The room felt very luxurious for what I paid and was quite comfortable. They were also perfectly OK with late check-in and early check-out and provided shuttle service to the airport.

Easy to get to, easy to park, easy to get to air port! I highly recommend this to anyone who just needs an inexpensive place to stay and park. Great breakfast and awesome staff!

This is the second time I have stayed at this location.. I like the park and ride service to the airport. The staff has always been nice. They start their complimentary breakfast earlier than most whick is nice when catching an early flight. The only problem I have had is getting the wake up call this trip. We came in early in the AM and requested a […] call, but never received one. The front desk said they tried, but the phone apparently didn't work. This hotel fit our needs perfectly. They even recovered my wife's purse after we carelessly left it on the curb while loading our car. We were 200 or more miles down the road before we discoverd we didn't have it. Wecall the hotel and found the good news, that the purse had been found and was at the hotel desk. For the price, the room was amazingly clean and well-furnished. There was halogen lighting in some of the fixtures, which is so much cozier than fluorescent. Electric outlets on the lamps on the bedside tables. Nice water pressure in the shower and the water was plenty hot. Hotel was clean, which is most important. There were 4 of us in a double room. So, the 2 full size beds were too small, the should be queen. The shower head either did not work well or there was not enough pressure. Other than that , it was fine. However the beds should be queen size, sleep is very important.

This hotel was very convenient to the airport. Quite a distance, but good shuttle service. Room was very clean and everything was supplied for a good nights rest. Shuttle service to airport was prompt and driver courteous. However, he dropped me off at the arrival area instead of the departure area. Don't let the low, affordable rate fool you. This hotel is not only close to the airport, but very clean and well maintained. Furnishings were up to date and carpet was clean.

I arrived late at KCI and needed a quick and cheap night's stay before driving to South Missouri - this was perfect. The room is very basic, clean, quiet because the location appears to be convenient to the airport and not much else, and the breakfast was buffet is basic and fine. Note that the system required me to input something for "surrounding […] neighborhood," in reality I didn't see it; arrived at night and left while it was still dark in the AM. Mehr

Stayed here because of proximity to airport. Left vehicle for 4 days and it was safe. Complimentary shuttle service to airport. Good clean rooms for the price! Only issue was when I returned to the airport I couldn't reach the hotel to get the shuttle. I was in a hurry so ended up taking a taxi.

Hotel was "good enough". If you are looking for a bed, a shower (no bathtub), and some sleep; then this place will do just fine. The price was the big selling point. It was less than all the surrounding hotels. Remember, after you close your eyes, that $200/night room will look just like this one. Be frugal and still get a good night's sleep.

It is very close to the airport. The front desk staff was very friendly. This hotel is very inexpensive. My husband wanted to stay in an inexpensive hotel, so that was primarily why we chose it. The room furnishings are very outdated. Even though we booked a non-smoking room, the entire hall and our room smelled of smoke. The shower head was taped with black electrical tape as it had been repaired this way somehow. I just like to stay in clean rooms and I didn't feel like it was clean at all. We wouldn't stay again. This is an older property that could use some TLC. It is further away from the Airport than other Hotels and I would suggest spending a few more dollars for a better property.

Driver was at the curb to pick us up 10 minutes after we called to notfiy them we'd landed. Way better and less expensive than long term parking.

Have stayed here about 6 times now over last 2-3 years. It is very reasonably priced, quite close to the airport and has a reliable shuttle service. The greatest thing are the extremely comfortable beds. The only complaint I have is that the water pressure is practically nil, at least on the third floor. This place is an excellent value.

The room was tiny but adequate for our one-night stay. Everything was fine except the smell from the air conditioner whenever it came on. It just smelled musty. The breakfast was great with lots of options.
