Das Hotel ist sauber , die Mitarbeiter helfen einem stets weiter und man sieht ständig jemanden putzen! Das Frühstück besteht aus Toast , frischen Waffeln Kaffe und Säften , also völlig ausreichend für einen ersten Snack. Das Hotel liegt 15 Minuten von Manhatten entfernt , es fährt alle 5 Minuten ein Shuttle Service direkt zum Times Square für 3 $ pro Person. Der Shuttle fährt bis tief in die Nacht. Ich würde dieses Hotel jederzeit wieder buchen.

Unser zweiter "Urlaub" in NYC. Super Hotel für den Städtetrip. 2 Min. Fußweg zum Time Square. Alle sofort zu erreichen. Mit sicherheit in der Hauptsaison ein wenig teuer, aber für die Nebensaison ansolut empfehlenswert. 5 Nächte im 15.Stock. Würde es sofort wieder buchen...

Das Hotel Wellington liegt in unmittelbarer Nähe der interessantesten Sehenswürdigkeiten. Außerdem ist der Metro-Anschluss direkt vor der Tür für weiter entfernte Ziele. Die Doppelzimmer sind großzügig, gut ausgestattet und ruhig. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt.
Es können eventuell Gebühren für zusätzliche Personen anfallen, die abhängig von den Bestimmungen des Hotels variieren können.

Das Marcel ist ein sehr stylisches Hotel und liegt an der 3rd Avenue nah zum Empire State Bulidung oder dem Madison Square Park. Unser Zimmer war ausreichend groß für 4 Personen, sauber und geschmackvoll eingerichtet. "The Marcel at Gramercy in Downtown Manhattan"
Das Hotel ist modern, stylisch und gut gestaltet. Das Personal ist sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Es gibt eine geräumige Dachterasse mit Liegen, von der man einen tollen Ausblick hat. Auch die Gestaltung der Zimmer hat uns gut gefallen, leider sind sie zum Teil sehr klein. Da passt gerade mal ein Doppelbett hinein, für die Koffer muss man schon Platz […] suchen. Das Hotel hat eine super Lage für eine Sightseeing-Tour durch Manhattan. U-Bahn in 3min fussläufig erreichbar. Liegt zentral, so dass Lower und Upper Manhattan bestens zu erreichen sind. Hotel ist unter Preis-Leistungsaspekten OK. Plus: recht gute Lage, relativ ruhig, Gäste-Lounge mit kostenlosem Internetzugang und akzeptablem Frühstück. Minus: Zimmer sehr klein, sehr wenig Tageslicht durch Fenster zu dunklem Innenhof, Klimaanlage extrem laut.

Es gab keine Probleme beim Einchecken in das Hotel. Jedoch bekamen wir zunächst ein Zimmer für 2 Personen mit einem ca. 1,40 x 2m Bett. Wir sind kein Paar, sondern Vater & erw. Sohn. Das Zimmer war mit einem kleinen Schrank, dem Bett und einem kleinen Tisch praktisch voll. Das Fenster OHNE Tageslicht!!! ging in einen Schacht, da liefen permanent die […] Kühlagregate des ganzen Hauses. Es war unerträglich laut! Das Zimmer war für den Preis unzumutbar. Nach Beschwerde an der Rezeption erhielten wir ein angemessenes schönes Zimmer. Ruhig, Tageslicht ordentliches breites Bett. Alles ohne mehr Geld zu verlangen. Die Lage des Hotels ist zur grünen Subway gut gelegen und von dort aus ist man überall in Manhattan schnell... "Sehr hilfsbereites Personal!"
Wir waren als Familie Eltern 50 Jahre und Töchter 18 und 21 Jahre für einen Kurztrip in New York. The Marcel hat uns sehr gut gefallen. Wer Probleme mit dem Lärm der Stadt New York hat, sollte unbedingt ein ruhiges Zimmer verlangen. Wohl keine Aussicht, aber dafür kein Strassenlärm, die Fenster sind nicht perfekt isoliert und die Ruhie war mir wichtiger […] für die Nacht als die Aussicht - tagsüber waren wir sowieso unterwegs und ansonsten gibt es im 10. hotel ist liegt super, unweit der u-bahn-haltestelle an der 23. midtown manhatten wunderbar zu fuß erreichbar. sehr zuvorkommendes hotelpersonal. etwas dunkler eingangsbereich - dafür aber recht stylish. die ersten beiden nächte mussten wir leider mit einem extrem kleinen zimmer vorlieb nehmen (im 2. stock dürfte es nur so kleine geben), weil wir […] erst spät einchecken konnten und das hotel nur noch das zimmer übrig hatte. erst am übernächsten tag war wieder ein größeres zimmer frei, in das wir dann anstandslos umziehen konnten. beide zimmer aber sehr sauber, modern eingerichtet und komfortabel (das kleine halt wirklich zu klein für 2 erwachsene mit koffern). leider kein free wifi - sollte eigentlich standard sein, finde ich. gegen relativ hohe gebühr hätte man sich zugang kaufen können. fernseher bzw. empfang hat immer wieder gespuckt - aber es gibt ja auch anderes, das man in NY tun kann :) Mehr

Tolle dachterasse im 10. Stock und den ganzen Tag gratis Kaffee - auch take Away! Zimmer etwas klein aber sehr ruhig und sauber! Zum Hotel gehört ein nettes ital. Restaurant mit Bar! Auch zum Draussen sitzen!!

Das Hotel Marcel ist sehr gut gelegen (nur 1 Block zur nächsten U-Bahn Station). Durch den Umbau und die frisch renovierten Zimmer wirkt das Hotel sehr modern. Die Zimmer sind sauber und zweckmässig eingerichtet. Ich werde bei meinem nächsten New Yoek Trip das Hoel wieder besuchen.

I recently stayed at the Marcel at Gramercy because I had a business meeting in NYC. At first, it started out great. The decor is very trendy and there is an electronic fireplace in the lobby. Lindsey at the front desk was very helpful and nice. I had made some requests about the room while booking and she was able to fulfill them. When I got to my […] room, it was also trendy and cute. It was small, but not as small as I was expecting (1 person with a double bed). It would have been nice if they had the racks for the suitcase, especially since its NYC and with the bed bug problem in the city its best not to put your belongings on the floor. Speaking of bed bugs, I searched under the mattress and did not notice any sign of them and the room was very clean. I was concerned about the fact that my room was right next to the elevator, since I would need to get my sleep while everyone else was out partying. I asked the front desk twice if they could move me, but they said there were no other rooms available and they were completely booked. I'm not sure that I believed them- it was a weekday during a non-tourist heavy month. When I finally went to bed there were no problems, but between 1:30-3:30 am I was constantly woken up by the elevators and the people in them. Needless to say, I was very frustrated and annoyed by this as I had to be awake before 5 am. You can't expect a hotel to be silent all the time, but this was much more noise than in any hotel I've ever stayed at. In summary, the staff at the front desk and the doorman (Raul) were really great, the decor is neat, but this is not the place to stay if you are on business or another important trip as it will be very hard to sleep. If there are 2 of you in NYC for a night a fun, then this is the hotel for you. Mehr

"The Marcel at Gramercy-Nice but Noisy"
This is a wonderful small hotel. Everything about the hotel was great except that my room was incredibly noisy due to street noise (cars/trucks) all night. My room faced the strret and was near the corner of 3rd avenue. I will go back but will request a room on the other side of the hotel. All else terrific.

Not really in Gramercy, but the main problem was the teeny tiny rooms - the doors practically hit the bed. There was not even room for a closet, just a bench with drawers, and barely a walkway around the bed. The single narrow window looked at a dark, sunless alley that was as good as no window. The first room we were shown had no window. Not for clausterphobics. Also, […] we ordered a 6 pm wake-up call in order to nap before going to a show, and it never came. I have stayed in 5 NYC hotels in the past 2 months alone, and this is by far the smallest room I have come across. It is also the cheapest and the quality of the service and the cleanliness make it a place I would recommend to someone on a budget. Couples looking for a good time, go somewhere else. Business travel alone, good choice.

This is an inexpensive hotel in a convenient location. The rooms are small, the bathroom smaller, but it was clean. Rooms have newer decor, but need major work to bring them up to modern building standards. Don't go if you are expecting luxury, it is not that kind of hotel. If you want something affordable and safe this is the hotel for you.

When I called for the reservation as well as when we showed up I was told we would have the existing bed and a cot. The room was SO small there was no room for a cot. My daughter and I had to sleep in this 3/4 size bed together which was uncomfortable.If they had attempted to put a cot in there it would have blocked the doorway- if there had been a […] fire there would have been no way out. We stayed at The Marcel for six nights. We arrived in the middle of the night, 12 h delayed due to the snow storm. We felt welcomed when we arrived and got a room on the second floor facing a back yard ( no distruption from outside:-) THe room was nice, small but clean. The room with a king size bed is tiny. The HVAC unit sounds like a large aircraft is landing in the room. The bathroom is impossible to turn around in and the bathtub had a slow drain so you would stand in about 2" of water. Relatively new conversion from apartments. The rooms are average size for NYC (i.e., very small for the price compared to any other US city). Our room had a single small window that looked out on a brick wall, but I am not complaining. An interior window is a blessing, because there was no street noise. "Great staff, comfy room"
We stayed for 6 nights and had a good experience. The staff were very warm and welcoming and were very prompt to respond to requests for assistance (when we could not open our in-room safe). The room was clean and well appointed, but it lacked a kettle - we would have loved to have been able to make a coffee on waking up! The bathroom was very clean, […] if a little careworn and small. Our room faced away from the street (for which we were grateful) but the noise from the building's atrium where the aircon vents were, was enough to disturb our sleep every night. This was the only downside really; if I stayed there again, which I would, I'd make sure to ask for a room that faced E24th street (rather than the back of the building or 2nd Avenue). Mehr

We stayed here for 11 nights. The staff were super friendly and helpful, the room was clean, with new and bright furnishings and funky touches to it. Air conditioning was great - a must in summer! We decided on a 'deluxe room' which allowed room for a king bed, wardrobe, desk and chair. It has a 10th floor balcony where u can BYO drinks or eat breakfast […] on which had a great view of the surrounding suburbs. Closest subway was about a 5-10 minute walk which was a bit of a pain in the rain. Not much happening in the area as far as cool bars/restaurants/cafes but it was only an $8 cab fare to meatpacking for great nightlife. An excellent hotel for it's price - not super fancy but great clean rooms and great service would stay there again. Mehr

This is a perfectly satisfactory hotel. That said, our experience was not entirely perfect or satisfactory. The bathroom is not well lighted - I had to put on makeup standing by the window sill and while that had a certain Tree Grows in Brooklyn feel, it required being fully clothed. TV remote didn't work and there was no luggage rack, problems that […] might have been solved by calling the front desk. The pricey continental breakfast was of the same quality as the free one at Motel 6. The area is not one of NYC's more exciting, although it's near the Empire State Building. Limited shopping - I hit a thrift shop and an American Apparel - and limited restaurants - although we had a delicious meal at Tredice a few blocks away. We probably won't go back, but it's not a bad value. There's an Italian restaurant next door, a bar in the basement. It is a good deal for NewYork : good location, nice bedrooms, and the terrace. However, the room was too small to add an extra-bed for our child and the room was a little bit noisy. good deal anyway

When you book this hotel online they promise you a standard room, little do you know that a standard room for 2 is a tiny room with a slightly larger than twin bed (no way are two people going to comfortable in this size bed) with a tiny very ugly bathroom. It looks nothing like the oictures. Their explaination when you complain? That these are the […] rooms they sell to the wedsites, this is the standard for 2 and any other room is an upgrade. We complained and they gave us another room that was technically an upgrade, as if they were doing us a favor when what they gave us was a normal room with a queen size bed, no mini fridge, lots of noise (the walls are very thin and I´m not a fussy person). This hotel may seem like a bargain but you´ll be paying for the noise, the tiny room, the stress of having to ask for a room change for the entire trip. The hotel also looks like someone found an old hotel, went to IKEA and covered all the old things with IKEA style lamps and furniture and added an extra star to the rating. Not happy, spend a tiny but more and go somewhere decent. I´ve been to several for a similar price and they´re much better, that´s why I felt I should take the time to write a comment. Mehr
"The Marcel at Gramercy"
Very pleased with our stay at the Marcell at Gramercy, exceptionally friendly staff at every encounter, nice 10th floor lounge with a great roof top deck where you can enjoy views of the Empire State bldg etc plus convenient parking across the street.

Stayed three nights for wedding ,staff really friendly and helpful. Ideal location for looking around manhatton. May be a touch small if more than one person in room
