Very good location for my purposes - Medical Center area & close to highway & museum district. Superb breakfast in the mornings. Friendly staff. Safe, plentiful parking. Quiet - didn't hear our neighbors. Free WiFi. Pretty clean housekeeping, they do try - bathroom fixtures are old, however, a little mold around the edges of the tub. Nice linens on […] the bed (the washable duvet kind). Minor annoyance: Maintenance needs to get busy in the bathroom- sink & tub didn't drain at times, toilet ran if the handle was not jiggled. Very nice to have access to a washer/dryer - dryer didn't dry after an hour, though, vent hose is kinked behind dryer - again, a maintenance issue. Would stay here again, good value for the money & comfy besides. Mehr

Like new, super clean and comfortable. My six year old loved the sofa bed. Shower was awesome, stayed under the shower head for about an hour. Had a delicious oatmeal and banana with coffee at their comp breakfast. This was a spontaneous one day trip, spent the day at Hermann Park nearby, would definately stay again.

The quality of my stay at any Hampton Inn & Suites has always been fist class and this hotel did not disappoint. The hotel was super-clean, the breakfast outstanding, the room very comfortable with all amenities. The staff was helpful and friendly. I would definitely stay there again and highly recommend this place.

Everything was great! only 2 tiny things stand out, no working exhaust fan in the bathroom and the morning breakfast should have better heart healthy fruit (berries)

We went to the hotel for a conference. First thing you notice is that itis not in a good neighborhood. Then we walked in and the building was under renovation. We quickly learned that the hotel did notnhaventhe advertised work center or gym. Then the first night the fire alarm went off many times over the course of an hours around 1am. The hotel staff […] tried to figure out how to shut it off and acknowledged there was no fire juat a malfunctioning alarm. Overall the staff was very good and accommodating but the hotel was just flawed and made the trip more difficult. It should be noted that we were not aware that the hotel was under construction when we booked it. Also do not get a room on the first floor, there is little between you and a not good part of Houston. Mehr

Even though are stay was very short the hotel and staff was very accommodating from laundry soap to a crib for our baby everything was great and it was very quiet and peaceful. We would definetly recommend this hotel.

Our stay at this hotel was perfect. Loved the morning breakfast. Close to the places we were visiting. The lobby area was being renovated as were some rooms on a higher up floor. However, it didn't take away from our stay. Highly recommend.

When I stayed this past week, they were doing active construction on half the parking lot, the whole first floor, and the lobby area. I feel like this detail should have been disclosed when booking via hotels.com, esp given the price point... As i was staying just one night to be closer to the med center area for an interview, noise level is important. […] I inquired abt the med center shuttle when checking in & instead of having a conversation with me about it, the gent behind the counter handed me a yellow slip of paper that "had everything I needed to know." *insert silence here* I guess questions abt said shuttle svc are unwelcome. Before I left that morn for the interview, I requested late checkout & was granted it, but returned before the newly requested time to find myself locked out of the room. Breakfast was free & plentiful, a plus. in comparison to another hampton inn in another part of town (we stayed there also on the earlier leg of the same trip), this one is mediocre. Maybe it'll get better once construction is complete, but for right now, I can't say i'd recommend. Mehr

Good service, great breakfast offering, very nice suites for the money.

Good location, close to medical facilities, downtown, and the galleria. Was under renovations while I was there so most of the hotel was not being used. We had a fifth floor suite which was very nice. Large, nicely furnished, and clean. Would stay at again.

Our stay started out just fine, the room was comfortable enough and a good size. When we started getting hot we realized our AC was only pumping out heat and when I called the front desk to get it fixed, they lady said it could be fixed in the morning after I explained we were only staying in the room for one night we were given a different room. In […] our second room we quickly noticed there was no remote but we did not make a big deal out of it (still annoying though). There was also no clock in the room which became frustrating when we tried to set a morning alarm. In the second room our door didn't lock either. At 1:22 in the morning a group of girls tried coming into our room with a room key they were given at check in, turns out the front desk girl never switched my name over to the new room. Needless to say it was a very annoying stay and we will never go back to this hotel. If you are looking for a hotel in this area, there are many others in the area with better deals and probably more compitant employees. Mehr

Room we were in was smelling cigarette smoke all night. Although we were offered a different room, we did not take it. But it's just a total frustration considering I had an allergy attack.

They were just completing a reconditioning of all floors and rooms during our stay. We stayed in one of the "new' rooms. It was excellent. Staff was courteous and helpful. Parking lot was patrolled at night, but the neighborhood seemed safe to me. I recommend it for anyone wanting to stay near the medical center. Half a block to the rail station also […] so you can get to downtown easy. Mehr

NIce room, clean, quite, comfortable. The TV was a flat panel, but needed HD channels for more enjoyment.

The construction was not an issue for me during Thanksgiving holiday. I the northwest end of the building was extremely quiet. Breakfast staff was helpful and friendly and I wireless Internet access was available in my room on the first floor. I would recommend this hotel.

We had a wonderful stay. It was only 3 minutes to Texas Children's. Make sure if you are going to use the DVD player- that it works- ours was broken and it being Sunday - they could not fix it. They also did not offer to bring another. Luckily there was a Christmas show on the kids were willing to watch.

This unit delivers a great value considering what all is provided. Customer service is great!

Stayed here for my first trip to Houston and visit to the medical district, MD Anderson. The staff was generally helpful and courteous. The property and ammenities were as advertised. The room was comfortable, decent bed, nice TV, work desk, comfortable chair and ottoman. One of the main things of importance to me is the cleanliness of the room and […] facilities. I was very satified with this. The room and bathroom were clean and had no musty odors. The room and facilty looked up to date. Breakfast was good with the usual items as well as a decent amount of fruit available. Shuttle service to and from the Medical District facilities was complimentary and that is convenient to avoid driving and parking. I rented a car at the airport but used the shuttle for appointments. The car is handy though as Luby's cafeteria and Subway are really the only 2 eating places on the block. It is a pretty long walk to anything else. There is no charge for parking at the hotel. I was well satisfied with my stay and would stay here again on my next trip. Mehr

The hotel was basic, but comfortable. The room service was a bit variable; sometimes you would get coffee or a kitchen cloth, sometimes you wouldn't but it was always clean. The location is pretty good for access to freeways and is in a great location for the Houston metrorail. Very good hotel don't worry about the star rating. If your looking for a clean comfortable room with great customer service and an extensive contenintal breakfast and free wifi then this is the place for you :). We spent one evening down in rice village which was just a short drive away. Right by all hospitals and reliant stadium.

The stay was conveinent and the staff was accommodating and courteous. Location was great to where we were right at the venue without being late. I will recommend this Hotel to everyone....so KUDOS to the Hampton Inn and Suites at Reliant, Houston, Texas

the main purpose of my trip was to attend a NFL game and i wanted a hotel within walking distance to the stadium or a hotel which provided transportation to the stadium on game day. when i phoned the hotel prior to my stay, i was told the hotel was within walking distance to the football stadium AND had a shuttle service. at check-in i was told by the […] ASST. MANAGER and another staff member that a shuttle to the stadium was available and all i had to do was call the desk when i was ready to depart. after further discussion, we concluded that calling 40 mins prior to when i wanted to arrive would be sufficient. on game day i called the front desk to arrange pickup and was told the shuttle ran every 45 mins and the next shuttle was leaving at 11am...it was currently 10:58! AND the following shuttle would not leave until 11:45...not enough time to arrive before kickoff! when i went to the lobby to get directions to WALK to the stadium, i asked why i was given incorrect information by the ASST MGR the night before?! the girl said she didn't know and showed me a display of shuttle schedules that had the shuttle departing every 45 mins. i was NOT happy! with little alternative, i began my trek to the stadium (which clearly was farther than they had indicated over the phone). if not for the pedicab i found half way to the stadium, i would NOT have made it to the game prior to kickoff! on a positive note...the hotel is clean and well maintained (except for the bathtub which needed updating), room is nicely appointed, bed is VERY comfortable, hallway was quiet, breakfast was adequate - im happy with a hot waffle maker! (would have liked hard boiled eggs instead of the frozen 'omelettes' though). popular restaurants within close driving distance (1-2 miles). location is convenient IF you have transportation. overall this is a great hotel for short stays...just don't plan on walking to the stadium! (or getting accurate information on transportation!) Mehr

The room and hotel itself were very clean and comfortable. Great deal with special offer. I was very impressed with the bathroom and the bed. Walking distance to the stadium. The food was ok nothing special but since there are very few options in the surrounding area it sufficed. Elevator was a bit scary. Had a wonderful time in Houston and great service at the Hampton Inn - Medical Center-Reunion.

I attended a Houston Texans game. This is a great location if you are coming from out of town for anything at Reliant Park. It's very close, cheap, great convenient service, and a pretty good room for the money. I would recommend this hotel.

The Hampton Inn & Suites was a really nice place to stay during my time in Houston. The only issue I had was with the slow moving elevators. At one point an elevator was out of service leaving just the one elevator to transport the guest. I like the cleanliness of the rooms and the breakfast was AWESOME. I would definitely visit again whenever I'm in […] Houston and I would recommend the Hotel to others. I may even use The Hampton Inn & Suites in other states and cities as well. Mehr

Convenient to hospitals & Rice. Breakfast was hot & good. Hotel is clean. Went to tour Rice but have been in the area for medical reasons & wish I'd known abou the hotel.
