Grand Hotel Nouvel Opera - Paris

Nachdem wir beim letzten Mal mit einem anderen Hotel reingefallen waren, haben wir zum 2. Mal dieses Hotel gebucht. Das Zimmer war etwas klein, das Bett für 2 Erwachsene auch (franz. Bett), aber für 2 Nächte ging das schon. Es gab einen Fernseher und kostenfreies WLAN. Das Bad war geräumig und mit Wanne+WC+Fenster, sauber und relativ neu. Obwohl an […] einer relativ häufig befahrenen Straße gelegen, war es ruhig, vor allem im Hotel selbst. Das Zimmer war nicht so sehr hellhörig. Die Dame an der Rezeption war sehr nett und hatte immer einen netten Spaß auf Lager. Das Hotel liegt genau zwischen 2 Metrostationen und ein Bus hält direkt vor der Tür. Parkmöglichkeiten sind mit etwas Glück vorhanden. Cafes, Brasserien etc. gibt es rundrum genug und es ist nicht weit zum Place de la Bastille und zur Seine. We booked 3 nights with a double bed but were given two singles. Shower was so small I had to squeeze in sideways. When we saw the reception the lady was very good and managed to get us a double bed and larger bathroom for the remaining two nights. I've stayed in about 7 hotels in Paris and this was ok for the price, but I'd probably try to find something […] better next time. With Paris accommodation one has to set one's expectations quite low, then be pleasantly surprised if it's better than expected! Mehr

We recommend this hotel because the staff are absolutely wonderful in every way, because the location is prime for touring Paris, and because of the incredible price. The staff speak fluent English and are more than helpful in scheduling tours and answering questions. This is extremely valuable when you are in such a large foreign city such as Paris […] and you don't speak French. The rooms are small and you have little storage space, especially in the bathroom where you may not have room for shampoo or soap (depending on the room). We recommend that you bring along some type of storage accessories that you can hang from the shower and that you can hang by the bathroom mirror. You may also consider traveling light. However, for the price, there is no better deal anywhere. The rooms are clean and the maintenance man is anxious to accommodate you in any way he can. I was really pleased by my stay att GHNO. It is of course a 2 star hotel, but it was fresh, clean and the staff was really helpful and friendly. Breakfast is not included so we didn't try it out. The only downside with the hotel is that you can hear everything that is going on in the hallway through the room door. That can be disturbing if you are […] a light sleeper. The hotel is close to Bastille which is a "tourist restaurant area". But the smaller streets closer to the hotel is much more quiet and has lots of small bistros and restaurants and also boutiques and vintage shops. I recommend the area if you want to live fairly close to tourist attractions but don't want to live smack in the middle of them. Mehr

The rooms in this hotel are quite basic but clean and warm. Our room was on the 5th floor with a balcony and great view. The street is very close to all the main restaurants and night life spots. It was very easy to access everywhere as you're very close to 2 metro lines. Its very good value because of its location. Staff were nice and helpful - water […] always hot and hotel was very cosy (it was freezing in Paris). Ps there's no bar or restaurant but they do offer breakfast for an additional €8 per person (we didn't try it). Its cheap and cheerful! Mehr

Close to hip area of Bastille, but a little far from main attractions - but good metro system means it doesn't take that long to visit main attractions

We stayed 4 nights in this hotel rooms were small as expected in Paris but extremely clean staff very kind and helpful and location great close to 2 metro station and 2 sidewalk restaurant cafe nearby we ate in both of them great food and service we go back there anytime price is right and I give it a tumb up all the way atound.

It is first of all an interesting location for promenades, restaurants, local trafic. I am less satisfied by the room confort especially the doubleroom bed which is a bit too small for two persons (it is maybe better to choose a twinroom). It is quite noisy and if you close the windows it can be a bit suffocating on summer time also because of the humidity. […] The bathrooms can be very small - but if you are lucky the staff are nice and you can get another room if available. To resume it is a not very comfortable two star hotel but with a very good location and nice and helpful staff. Quite all right if you want to save money. Mehr

My fiancée and I came to Paris to attend the Jim Morrison 40th Anniversary Celebration. It was my 8th time in Paris and her 4th time, so we have stayed in many different types of hotels all over the city. However, Grand Hotel Nouvel Opera is far and away THE BEST! It is a short stroll to 3 different Métro stations (Voltaire, Bastille and Ledru Rollin) […] in a lovely Bastille neighborhood. The hotel is literally steps from all the Morrison sites: his grave at Père Lachaise, his apartment, the Lézard King & La Renassaince Doors bars, and even Lè Bataclan music hall (where the Manzarek-Krieger Band played on July 3rd). All take at most 10-15 minutes to walk to. It's also a nice walk to the Latin Quarter across the river (less than an hour) and easy access to the rest of Paris thanks to the 3 Métro stations. The front desk and housecleaning staff could not have been friendlier and the room was big with a comfy bed, new HDTV, big closet, and a great ensuite bathroom with shower. The best part of the room was the massive windows which opened up all the way (essential for July in France when it is 90+ degrees Farenheit each day!). We will return to The City of Lights soon and when we do we will absolutely stay at Grand Hotel Nouvel Opera! Mehr

Very basic but excellent hotel for the price and the staff were friendly and helpful. Located in one of the best parts of Paris and within walking distance of many great bars, restaurants and the metro.

This hotel was a good one, for the place and cleanliness of the hotel. The staff was helpful. We were there just for 1 day, prior to going south France. So it was close to Gare Lyon.

The room was ok - basic. Bathroom seemed upgraded. The frontdesk was very helpful. There was a powerful odor - like dirty socks in the lobby and room. There was a tiny elevator. We took a van to the airport directly from the hotel - arranged by the hotel. Very close to metro stops - especially Voltaire. Walking distance to Bastille.

When I arrived, the staff was very helpful. They put me in my room, and when I opened the door, the room smelled like mildew, so I asked them to move me, and they did no questions asked! The rooms are a bit small, but just what you need when you don't spend much time there anyway. Close to a lot of amazing restaurants, open-air market, and Metro's for […] easy travel around Paris! The staff helped me with all my travel questions, even booked my friends and I a show at the Moulin Rouge for a great deal! I would definitely recommend this hotel if you're looking for a budget option, with friendly, helpful staff. Also, the Bastille neighborhood was a nice change from the tourist-y neighborhoods, a unique experience. If you're looking for something fancy and tourist-y this is not the place for you, but my group and I loved the 5 days we spent there! Mehr

For the money ( "cheap" by Paris standards) this hotel was a great value....bathroom in my unit spacious by Parisian standards and newly remodeled. Room adequate with older carpet but clean (again a great value for the price). Bright and clean reception area with friendly helpful English speaking staff. Some road noise but nothing extreme...neighborhood […] is not that central but again easily walkable to Bastille and nightclub areas, close to metro stop, etc. Mehr

On arriving we were told the room had not been paid for, even though we had paid 5 months before going, we felt there was no excuse why the reception should tell us this. Even though they must have been aware we re both almost 74, they allocated a room with a shower that we had to climb up 2 steps, one of them approx' 12" high to get into the cubicle, […] the door of which was only about 18" wide when open. We have recommended this hotel in the past, but never again, we know for sure it has not changed ownership because we recognized some of the staff from previous visits. Whatever else you do, do not go near this hotel with your own transport, they show no concern or provide any worthwhile information about where you can park without it costing a small fortune. Why they could not have some arrangements made with those responsible for parking in the area so that people could reserve a parking space at some reduce cost we cannot understand. Never again will we go to the hotel or encourage our children, grandchildren and friends too do so either. Mehr

The location of hotel is good, but condition within not. I see that this is 2 star hotel, but it very narrow, switches are not fixed. face wash sink was plged up (i warned and then itwas fixed)

Be careful with this location. Not what it appears to be. This was a last minute reservation because our flight was cancelled and we had to do something quick. We did not stay and were not reimbursed. Bad experience.

this hotel is brilliant i wud highly reccommend staying here. the oom is a little small but didnt bother us in the slightest! loads of cafes and restauraunts near the hotel and the metro line to the main attractions is at the end of the street what more could you ask for! the staff are really friendly aswell we went to disneyland and he booked it for […] us and gave us discount tickets. Beaucoup trop bruyant pendant la nuit et au matin. Dommage

camere piccole ma tutti i giorni pulite e con cambio asciugamani ottima posizione molto comodo la metro dista solo 3 minuti a piedi!!

L'hôtel est bien situé, à quelques pas du métro Voltaire; a réception est sympathique mais la chambre n'était pas balayée et nous avons passé nos 4 jours de séjour avec les mêmes serviettes.

Accueil sympathique, chambres rénovées et propres, bien insonorisées. Petit déjeuner en libre service suffisamment copieux , salle à manger agréable.

Bien situé et pas cher, mais la chambre et surtout la salle de bain etaient tres petites. Propre et aeré, mais du moisi dans un coin de la douche.. L'assensceur est vraiment petit aussi, et on entend les allees et venues dans le couloir. En gros c'est correct mais je n'y resterais pas longtemps.

Avis très mitigé! L'accueil est excellent. La gentillesse du réceptionniste du premier soir: me tirant les explications pour atteindre un resto dans Paris. La propreté ne présente pas de problème si j'exclue une balayette de wc qui ferait honte à n'importe qui( on n'ose pas l'employer)! la salle de bains représente le summum du non sens : vous ne pouvez […] pas ouvrir en grand la porte car elle est bloquée par les wc, le lavabo est une jolie vasque verte ...sans rien autour et pas la peine de chercher à allumer les spots au-dessus de la la glace, pas de branchement prévu! Il vous suffira de vous fermer la porte pour atteindre le dit lavabo! Sinon la literie est bonne, c'est au calme et bien situé! A 20mètres un resto sympa, : Copains comme cochons! Mehr

Accueil satisfaisant mais état des chambres déplorables : porte de douche non hermétique, fuite du cordon de douche, séchoir à cheveux et tablette de dessus de lavabo mal fixés... Chambre non faite systématiquement le matin (une fois sur 3 nuits passées)

Voin hyvin suositella hotellia muille! Pikkujuttuja oli mitkä ärsytti huoneessa esim. lavuaari niin pieni vessassa että kylppäri ui vedessä kokoajan ja sängystä taisi olla jalka poikki kun se natisi ja heilu niin paljon mutta kuten sanoin niin pikkujuttuja!

一人で7泊しました。 利便性・駅の前というわけでは無いが、及第点です。 ホテルのイメージ・ロビーに華やかさは無いが及第点。 対応・十分親切、タクシーも二重に確認してくれた。 　　　　深夜の人は愛想がないが・・・それはどこでも 朝食・コーヒー、紅茶、ミルク、オレンジジュース、ジャム、バター、パン2種、 部屋の快適度・広さや窓から見える景色も部屋によって違うが、一人では広さも十分。部屋もきれい。お湯もよくでる。バスタブも新品だった。 設備・お湯を沸かせるポットがあると良かった。広いテーブルが便利だった。テレビ、ドライヤー付き。 近隣の環境・観光客が集まる場所ではないが、徒歩数分の所にお薦めの市場もあり、パン屋、スーパー、ケーキ屋、バール、レストラン、コインランドリーなど一応みんなそろっている。ち […] ょっと歩けばバスティーユにも。100点120点ではないが全ていおいて及第点。料金の割にはお薦めです。 Mehr

Rimelig, relativt sett, og sånn sett helt kurant. Ligger i Bastille, som er et kult område. Resepsjonen ikke helt topp på service, og selve senga var dårlig, men ellers helt fint.

Beaucoup trop cher pour la qualité de l'hôtel, vieux et vétuste. Rénovation nécessaire.

Il a été impossible de ma faire monter le petit déjeûner dans la chambre où le Wi-fi était très intermittent. L'accueil est juste aimable.

Ett två-stjärnigt hotell som håller klass och som dessutom är nyrenoverat! Trevlig och hjälpsam personal, nära till metro, gångavstånd till Bastiljen och Notre Dame samt trevliga restaurang- och krogkvarter. Det negativa med hotellet är att det inte finns AC och frukosten var dyr. Men det fanns många frukostalternativ så som café och mataffär ett stenkast […] från hotellet. Vi är absolut nöjda med vår vistelse på Grand Hotel Nouvel Opera!! Mehr

地下鉄の駅との間にパン屋があり、日本人女性が働いている。おいしくて有名なパン屋なのに、日本語が通じるので安心した。

Hôtel ayant un bon rapport qualité prix. Dommage que la tv fonctionne mal voir pas du tout a certain moment. Il est a noter qu en compensation le pdj m a été offert. Donc je recommande cet hôtel.
