Die meisten Wien-Besucher werden ihre Zeit überwiegend darauf verwenden, die Innenstadt zu erkunden. Das Zentrum wird elegant von der Ringstraße umzogen und besteht zu großen Teilen aus Fußgängerzonen mit malerisch gepflasterten Straßen und mittelalterlichen Plätzen. Mitten in der Stadt, sehr schöne große Zimmer mit Blick auf den Stephansdom. Frühstücksbüfett reichhaltig, Eierspeisen konnten frisch bestellt werden. Wir haben uns diesem Hotel sehr wohlgefühlt.

"Das Hotel Am Stephansplatz liegt super zentral"
Wir haben das Hotel bewusst ausgesucht, weil es direkt am Stephansdom mitten in der City von Wien liegt. Vom Hotel geht man direkt in die Fussgängerzone mit den Geschäften. Die wichtigsten Highlights wie Burg, Cafe Central Spanische Hofreitschule, Cafe Dehmel, Sacher Hotel, Oper, Naschmarkt.... alles liegt in Fussweg Entfernung. Ebenfalls liegt direkt […] am Hotel die U Bahn Station, mit der man schnell an der Donauinsel oder nach Schönbrunn kommt. Einziger Nachteil durch die Lage ist natürlich eine geringe Geräuschbelästigung durch Aktivitäten von Passanten auch Nachts auf dem Platz am Dom. Die Isolierfenster in den Zimmern zum Dom halten davon aber viel ab. Wir würden dieses Hotel jederzeit wieder buchen. Mehr
"Zentralere Lage in Wien gibt es nicht!"
Das Hotel am Stephansplatz ist absolut empfehlenswert! Es liegt mitten in Wien am zentralsten Ort im 1. Bezirk. Einen besseren Ausgangspunkt gibt es nicht. War für eine Woche beruflich in der Stadt und habe es sehr genossen mitten im Zentrum zu wohnen. Frühstücksbüffee ist super!
Die Lage des Hotels ist spitzenmäßig, man fällt direkt in den Stephansdom und kommt fussläufig überall in, z.B. Staatsoper, Museumsquartier, Burgtheater, Restaurants und Cafes, Ring, Bermudadreieck und vieles mehr.

Das Hotel hat einen guten Standard, das Zimmer war preisangemessen, das Bad geräumig und auf hohem Niveau. Besonders zugesagt hat das Frühstück mit Blick auf den Stephansdom und das reichhaltige Angebot frischer Produkte. Insgesamt ein sehr zu empfehlendes Hotel in diesem Preissegment.

Das mit dem PKW nur schwer erreichbare Hotel ist ein Garni-Hotel, das nur wenige Speisen anbietet. Die Bar- morgens Frühstücksraum-schließt jedoch bereits um 22 Uhr. Das Frühstück ist reichhaltig, das Personal sehr freundlich und aufmerksam, Es serviert auch noch kurz vor Ende der Zeit nach. Die Zimmer sind zweckmäßig, hoch, viele gehen auf einen kleinen […] Innenhof, sodass man früh die Vorhänge schließen muss. Die Betten sind ok, der Stauraum ausreichend. Das Bad bietet die normalen Bequemlichkeiten. Lärmbelästigung war während eines viertägigen Aufenthalts nicht festzustellen. Der Empfang arbeitet schnörkellos, der Pagendienst effektiv. Es ist sehr teuer, den PKW unterzustellen: z.Zt. 33 Euro täglich, jede Anforderung weitere 10 Euro, bei einer Wartezeit von etwa einer halben Stunde. Aber man hat die U-Bahn direkt vor der Haustür. Für alle, die keine übermäßigen Ansprüche haben, aber zentral wohnen wollen, ein ideales Hotel. Mehr

Das Hotel liegt direkt am Abgang zur U-Bahn Station Stefansplatz und direkt neben dem Haupteingang neben einem der Wahrzeichen Wiens! Das Pesonal war sehr freundlich und das Hotel übertraf alle unsere Erwartungen. Der Hammer war, dass wir beim Frühstück durch eine grosse Panoramaglaswand direkt das bunte Treiben am Stefansplatz beobachten konnten. Super Lage, direkt bei U-Bahnstation, freundliches Personal, sehr reichhaltiges Frühstücksbüffet, grossartiger Ausblick auf Dom und Stephansplatz vom Frühstücksraum aus. Wir waren vollumfänglich zufrieden und würden das Hotel sofort wieder buchen. Sehr empfehlenswert!

Das Hotel kann ich bestens empfehlen (liegt in der Fussgängerzone). Sehenswürdigkeiten, Restaurants, Einkaufsstrassen - alles in unmittelbarer Nähe. U-Bahn-Anschluss direkt vor dem Haus. Das Hotel liegt am Stephansplatz - im Herzen von Wien. Beim Frühstück blickt man durch eine Panoramaglaswand direkt auf das touristische Treiben beim Haupteingang des Stephansdoms. Die Rezeption ist kompetent und sehr freundlich. Wichtig war für mich auch der kostenlose Zugang zum Internet per Funknetz - hat im ganzen Hotel prima funktioniert. Den Parkservice […] kann ich nicht beurteilen da ich mein Auto im P&R abgestellt habe und mit der U3 von und zum Hotel gefahren bin. (Kann ich nur empfehlen: Kostet 3€ pro Tag und es hat 2 entlang der U3). Ich habe mich sehr wohl gefühlt und kann das Hotel nur weiter empfehlen. Mehr

A wonderful hotel with a view of Stephansdome and nice quiet windows that block out any noise from the square below. Right in the center of things and easy access to Ubahn. Very helpful and professional hotel staff. Well priced for the location and type of property.

The hotel faces the Cathedral of St Stephan. The square around the Cathedral is very busy most of the time so there is some noise. The hotel sound proofing is good though and we were not disturbed. Our room was a superior double. We had a king size bed, two chairs, a table and two windows looking out onto St.Stephans Plaza. I stayed in this hotel when I was in Vienna for a conference recently. The hotel was centrally located on Stephansplatz, just opposite of the cathedral. My room was a superior room with a view of the cathedral. The room was clean, with a very nice bathroom (both a bathtub and a separate shower). The windows were new and thick, so when I closed them […] I was not bothered by any outside noise. Just around the corner from the hotel there are restaurants, shops, and also the U-bahn which will switly bring you to other parts of Vienna (direct connection to Kaisermühlen where the conference was held). The Hotel Stephansplatz was in a perfect location for sight seeing in Vienna. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff to make our stay so enjoyable. We had electric shutters on our bedroom windows which shut out all of the light and any sounds and we had the best nights sleep in a long time.The room was spotless as was the huge bathroom.One of the […] best features of the hotel was that it was lovely and warm compared to the minus 9 temperature outside( - not allowing for the wind chill!) right on the beautiful stephenplatz, facing the cathedral of vienna, walking street to the right. a wonderful experince. the weather was very frigid, but the most beauiful part of vienna was right outside our window (be sure you get a room with cathedral view, that is important, otherwise you might be facing an airshaft). staff was wonderful. sad to […] say, the breakfast menu could use an overhaul. however, staff would make you up something, like fresh fried or scrambled eggs. the cafe/bar/breakfast room was great for afternoon tea or an ecening snack. "Hotel Am Stephansplatz"
We stayed in this hotel in December 2011. It is very central to shops, cafes, restaurants and especially the Christmas Markets. Full marks to the hotel on their staff and the hotel itself. The room was very comfortable and very warm. Even if I wanted, we could not find a fault with the hotel. The hotel bar charged hotel prices coffee etc.
I would return to this hotel and recommend it to others. Extremely clean, terrific location, and has an excellent breakfast buffet in the morning (with a stunning view from the breakfast room). The only negative is its modern furnishings and design style which seemed out of place with my vision of Vienna.
Great hotel. If a cleaning lady is more trained how to behave with guests, it will be nice.

We arrived late afternoon after flying all day from Toronto. We were warmly greeted by the receptionist. Our room was spacious by European standards and the furnishings were nice. The hotel was in the center of the old city in walking distance of all the major sights. The metro station was around the corner. We were able to get the hotel from the train station withing 15 minutes. We were also able to use the metro to get the airport in 30 minurtes. We had a great corner room with Stephensdome at our feet. Great room, breakfast,and good service once we got an internet connection as the wireless didn't work in the room. Hotel did supply connection cord for the room. Location also was excellent.

Am Stephansplatz was the best 'value for money' hotel we have ever stayed at. Although we only booked a standard room, without requesting it, we were given a free upgrade to a room immediately facing the Stephansdom and the large central platz of Vienna! I'm a picky customer and could not find one thing to complain about this hotel. The location cannot be beat for tourists, the place is immaculate and well-kept, the rooms big by Euro standards, and an amazing breakfast included. The hotel arranged for a cab to pick us up at the airport and put the charge on our bill so we didn't even have to worry about […] changing money at the airport. I don't recommend this hotel. of course it has an awesome location , across from the famous St Stephens cathedral. However, the management has become mean and cheap. For example, when you visit their coffree shop you must first pay your check or the snottty waiters won't let you sit down. The hotel wants to draw business from the street and suspects […] that their own hotel guests will run without paying. This happened to me and I was humiliated and angry that this waiter had the power to insuit guests. I will never return to this hotel again. Mehr

My husband and I stayed in this hotel for 3 nights in December 2010. We thought the location, very central, was perfect and the hotel was everything we expected after reading other reviews. The room although not large was very clean and nicely decorated. Breakfast was continental but lots of choices. We would definitely recommend this hotel.
