Covington Courtyard by Marriott - Covington

Room was very clean and neat. The bed was very soft and comfortable; almost too comfortable. Definitely will stay here again.

It was the worst stay I have ever had! The room was do bad we actually rented a second room that was in better shape that night. One word - MOLD! The breakfast isn't free, you don't find out ur charged $10 a person til after u fix a plate.

I thought the hotel itself was great. The service could have been better. We asked for a late check out and it was unavailable. Then we asked for addittional towels and they never came. The room was very nice and updated well. I would recommend this hotel to others. One plus I had for the hotel as a woman, they use Paul Mitchell Hair Shampoo and Conditioner […] for their guests. lol I've never seen that before. :) Mehr

Overall a great location and great place away from New Orleans. We went to the Zoo and the Aquarium. Staying away from down town was so much better than our last visit in town at the Hilton riverside.

I must mention that the buffet area for breakfast is a little narrow and gets congested. On Sunday, even at 9:00 a.m., the food had pretty much run out, and no silverware was available. Cafeteria staff was helpful and courteous, however. Employees at check-in were very courteous, cheerful and helpful. stayed for 2 nights, great location, clean, quite, freindly helpful staff. walmart accross the street. 45 min away from New Orleans (I picked to be that far away) walking distance to local resturants. WILL stay again should the need arise. Breakfast is $10 a person, worth it if you like bacon, eggs and make your own waffles

motion sensor in bathroom kept on turning the light off when i was in the shower. Also there was mold growing in the bathroom and also a bunch of mold in the large hanging picture above the bed... :-(

We were in town for a reunion in New Orleans and were also visiting family in Madisonville. The hotel location was perfect for both. The staff were helpful and friendly. The room was clean and comfortable. We used the exercise room and the pool. We would stay there again.

it was great we had no issues at all. sometime when we go to hotels we do not et enough towels and that drives me crazy. at this hotel it was the same way we did not get eonough towels but unlike other hotel we had no problem getting more athe frnt desk. that is itself will make me go back. i gues when you check in at other hotel the expect you to only […] take one bath if you only going to be ther one night and i like a bath in the am and a bath in the pm so i like clean towels. so thanks for freely giving us more clean towels. We have stayed at many Courtyards and at this one several times. We were disappointed witht he service and the room quality. The bed and pillows were not up to standard. Sink/dressing area was too small for 2 people.

The Courtyard Marriott in Covington, LA is a great hotel. It's location is convienient right off the Causway and the interstate. It is on the main strip in Covington and there are a lot of shops and restaurants near by. There is also a Starbucks within walking distance! The hotel staff was very friendly and accomodating and the room was very clean. […] I would defintely stay here again if I'm ever in Covington again. Mehr

Yhis hotel was not what you expect for a rating of 4 stars. The Room was okay, but the Heat did not work and the only other room they had availible to move us to would only work if we turned the heat all the way up and we had to keep switching it on and off manually when we woke up sweating.

We've stayed in a way better Courtyard and when you've stayed in better it's hard to give a decent rating. I'm extreme when it comes to cleanliness so if I can avoid ANY hotels I will. This hotel is definitely older. It was for the most part clean except the shower curtain had a lot of mold spots on it. Beds were ok as for as comfort. Needs new pillows. […] The location was excellent. I have young children and I was looking forward to us swimming in the pool. The indoor pool was dirty, cold, and VERY small plus the Jacuzzi was out of order. We were all very disappointed not being able to spend family time around the pool. I will definitely find another hotel in the area for next years soccer tournaments. Mehr

Overall it's a pretty good hotel. The room is neat. Breakfast (paid) is decent. However, one night there is a huge fly in my room and I had to chase it down before I could go to sleep. Still not sure where it came from. Also, when I called and asked for internet service in the room, the front desk was not knowledgeable about the very basic question […] I asked. It took her a couple of try and then she had to ask her manager to find out they don't provide wired internet in the room anymore. Something I thought the management could have taken care of from the very beginning in their training. Mehr

Everything was great. My only complaint was the coffee pot. A one cup coffee maker w/ only 1 pod of coffee doesn't work when you have more than one person in the room. We had to go search the hotel for coffee. Other than that, I would definetly stay here again.

Positives: Decent hotel, good location, good breakfast buffet. Negatives: housekeeping did not clean our room over a five day period until we tracked them down and personally asked them to do so. We never put a 'do not disturb sign' on our door so there was no reason to skip cleaning. On the last day, we needed fresh towels and toilet paper. We called […] the front desk and the young lady informed us that as it was four o'clock, housekeeping had gone for the day. We went and bought our own toilet paper and laundered our towels. And to top it off, no apology was ever made! Last but not least: there was no mini fridge, the pillows were without pillow cases, there was no bottled water, no suitcase stand, the walls had some quick paint brush marks to cover up some stains, and the bathtub was old and stained. I was here for a client meeting and the client is very near this hotel. The hotel is very nice, very comfortable with a staff that is eager to please, but unless there's a reason to be in this neighborhood why would you be? There is a terrific seafood restaurant within walking distance and the hotel gym/pool/jaccuzzi is adequate.

For the price we paid for our room we were very surprised that we did not have a refrigerator in the room. Several of this hotel's room descriptions include a fridge, so we just assumed ours would have what seems to be a basic amenity anymore. (We previously stayed at the Days Inn in Metarie for half the price and had both a fridge and micro in the […] room, plus truly excellent front desk service.) The front desk service at this Courtyard was indifferent and we twice had to wait for someone to appear at the desk so we could ask a question. When we asked about the lack of a fridge we were told that they are required to provide refrigerators for only 20% of their rooms and once those are booked you are just out of luck. There was a reluctant apology tacked on after that. We'll stay somewhere else next time we're in the area. the breakfast is good, but it costs extra. Mehr

This hotel was ok..but it is very inconvenient where you check in versus where you stay as it has a new wing that is not easy to get too. Plus hard to find parking anywhere close to your room.. The other issue was only had a very expensive breakfast buffet that was of poor quality. Everything was great except the unexpected wake up call at around 6:40 am in the morning due to some sort of electrical fire. Also, not impressed with the charge for the breakfast at over $10 for buffet when I would have been just happy with muffins/bagel/juice/milk or coffee.

This hotel is in need of a renovation. It is very run down and worn out. Not sure if the lack of attention is because it is so close to New Orleans but not "in the city" or not, but we will not stay here again.
