Shilo Inn Suites - Palm Springs - Palm Springs

Typische motelähnliche Anlage (2 Pools in der Mitte der Anlage), die vor gefühlten 15-20 Jahren sicherlich mal OK war -> Renovierung dringend nötig. Für eine Übernachtung auf einer Durchreise (noch) OK. Das kostenlose Frühstück eignet sich nur, wenn man mit Kaffee, Bagel, Cornflakes und/oder Apfel satt wird.... Rezeptionspersonal sehr freundlich.

Nach den doch eher kühlen Küstentagen von L.A. nach San Diego, haben wir (Familie mit 2 Kindern) eine wunderschöne Reisepause im Shilo Inn eingelegt. Schöne gepflegte Anlage. Pool kann auch nach Sonnenuntergang benutzt werden und wird sogar jeden morgen gereinigt. Gefrühstückt haben wir draussen unter PAlmen. Einfach toll und sehr empfehlenswert.

Perfect for our trip to Irvine. wish they would have thought to put in extra towels for 4 people. And not adiquate seating for breakfast. Otherwise worked out well. Especially great resturant for anyone across the street.

Like most of the hotels in Palm Springs, this one is overpriced. But considering it's Palm Springs, it's probably as good as any others in the area. The staff is friendly, the rooms are clean and quiet, and each has a balcony or patio. The pool looked nice, although I didn't use it. However, for the price, they skimp in a lot of the wrong places. For […] example, for two guests, only two bath towels, two wash cloths and one face towel. How expensive is it to provide extra towels? No bath soap, just very small hand soaps. The complimentary breakfast is a joke. Bagels, cheap breakfast rolls, cerial, no room to sit, no trays to help take it back to your room, etc. Skip it and go out to breakfast. I have been going to Shiloh for over 10 years and I always have a wonderful time. I have all my friends staying there now too!

We only stayed one night as this was a resting point for further travel. The only problem was the lack of functioning ice machines. The first two machines on site were not working. Otherwise it is a good place close to all of the restaurants and bars.

Good location. Large room. Nice pool area. Really like staying there. This was the second year. Getting the correct amount of towels in the room is the only issue. We will return!

The pool is nice. The rooms are spacious but hotel needs to be updated. The carpet is old. The breakfast is inadequate, all sugar and carbs.

This hotel is at a 3.0 star. It is clean, comfortable with very friendly and helpful staff. They offer free shuttle to and from the airport, and on thurs. nites, free shuttle to the downtown market. there is a fair sized outdoor pool. what was great in our room is 2 vanities, and the rooms were huge. I always fall for free breakfast, and the one at the Shilo was good. The room had a horrible smell that seemed to be coming from the bathroom or the carpet. It was quite oppressive. The air conditioner was so loud that you had to adjust the TV volume. The TV was a CRT. No HDMI, no VGA, no RCA available. The Spa had it's only light out, very dangerous. This reasonably priced inn is north of the super touristy area, so its quieter. Still, there are bars and restaurants within easy walking distance, and the inn has a shuttle to the tourist trap. Pleasant place, great resturant across the street at Billy Reeds. Main issue was we had four people in our double room and only had towels for two. We were running late, so just made do instead of calling. A little disappointed in the seating arrangements for breakfast, but again we made do. All in all it was ok if you can adjust...

We found the hotel to have extraordinary staff, more than willing to help with any problem, giving directions, quick checkin, and quite personable...some of the best we've ever run across. with a much needed facelift and new employees or employee retraining, this could be one of my favorite hotels. the only employee who seemed to care and who was also extreemly helpful was justin haight, regional director of operations. thank you justin!!

We were greeted by a friendly staff, who made us feel welcomed. I was happy with the ammenities of the hotel, steam room, sauna, exercise room, etc. but the location was just as you enter Palm Springs, away from the heart of activities. Overall, it was a nice place to stay.

Clean, modern, spacious room with fridge, coffee maker and microwave oven. Well manicured grounds. Nice continental breakfast. Great value.

I was expecting worse with the 2 1/12 star rating, but honestly the stay was perfectly fine. It was clean, quiet, the staff were very nice. The pools were heated and seperated for adults and children, which was great. I would stay here again if I wasn't willing to splurge for one of the more historical or hip hotels.

The room was to be poolside but we were looking at a wall. We were then sent to a room that was not ready. We were then double charged for the dog charge. Definitely would not stay there again.

Nice pool area. Just up the hill from the main drag in Palm Springs. Walkable if you're a walker. If not, you'll need to drive. Service good. We changed from our first floor to second floor room b/c we could hear people upstairs walking around.

The pictures in the interent was completly different from the actual room. For some reasons in the picture I booked the room but as soon as I arrived I experienced something different which was sad. My overall experience was not good and I dont recomend this hotel if you want to stay more than a day.

This is a very simple but adequate hotel at a good price and location. The breakfast is included (free) and is a bit weak. The only other negative I would mention is the sometimes long wait at front desk to check in. Usually only one person there.

Hotel very nice and staff very helpful. The only thing we were not satisfied with was the breakfast. Very slim pickings and no place to sit to eat. No tables.

I paid for a mini suite for my parents who came in for chemo/radiation treatment. I wanted this to be comfortable. The hotel boasts spacious mini suites with continental breakfasts and the pictures shown were not at all what we received. Upon check in, room 150, the tile floors were mismatched and dirty. The entire room was outdated, bathroom had not […] received towels. The bed linens had cigarette holes as did the curtain sheers. The screen was torn and the sofabed was missing. No evidence that this was ever anything but a smoking room, and no chance of it becoming a suite without complete rennovation. The desk clerk played dumb, simply apologized but never offered to fix, change anything or offer any consolation for sheer disaster. The furnishings were obviously taken from the Luxor in Las Vegas probably early 1990. With the competetion in Palm Springs and the hotel choices offering spectacular accomodations for the same price with breakfast, we will no longer recommend this hotel to anyone. I live here in Palm Springs and usually refer guests to Marquis, Hotel Zoso, Hyatt Regency, or Rennisance. All were offering similiar prices for much more upscale accomodations. If these hotels were not already booked due to the International Film Festival, this disaster would never have happened. Now we know why the Shilo was not sold out. Mehr

We loved this hotel. Our bathroom in one room flooded, but they were very quick to get the water turned off and get us moved. They assisted us in moving our things and compensated us appropriately. i was very impressed on the size of the room and had a great pool view. it did not have any of the smokey or old smells you find in other hotels. i will use this hotel again.

We really enjoyed our stay, beginning with the congenial and professional desk clerk, who accommodated us by providing us one room for two booked reservations, for our whole stay, after we chose to continue our stay for New Years Eve. Kudos also to the cheery and efficient breakfast barista, and to the helpful and courteous hotel room attendant. It exceeded our expectations! We had a great stay, we will be staying at the Shilo Inn Suites in the near future.

The room was large and well furnished but the carpet had fould odor and had to be aired for a long time. The sevice at the counter was also not prompt.

It's getting a little old and unkept.

It was the perfect location to wind down from a 7 week road trip before our return to Australia. The information given to us about the surrounding area and discounts at restaurants was invaluable. It is out of town but quiet and relaxing. They did however, tend to book families into rooms near the adult only pool. I feel they should be near the kiddies […] pool. Mehr

The hotel was fair, I give it a two star rating. Amenities seemed cheap and carpet appeareda little old. This hotel is as good as motel 6

not too close to the action, but it was good to be out of the traffic.

Everything was good except the mattress comfort which the person at the desk said they are replacing the mattresses in the room. Overall I think the place is a great value for the money I paid.

We've been staying here out of habit for a few years. It is clearly deteriorating in cleanliness and maintenance. It is way too expensive for this type of motel. There are better choices in the area.

For a discount site, I paid too much for this room.The hotel had no elevators present. To request a room downstairs required an additional fee. The breakfast was ill prepared. Many details within the room lacked attention.

We stayed at this place in the past and it seems to have gone downhill since then. I was so disappointed!!! The staff was unhelpful and unfriendly. The bed was itchy, there was feces in the child's pool, and the trash bin near our room stunk something aweful! And, watch out, the room is inexpensive, but they charge extra for every little thing!
