Great front desk people so clean and huge rooms loved it here best hotel ever will deff be going back!!!!

I have stayed at Comfort Inn & Suites in the past. I booked this one to be close to my parents for Easter Morning. Me and my 3 kids stayed one night. It was not good. The rug on the room floor felt damp..I tried to feel if there was water damage but could not see any. It definitely felt damp though. The bed was hard as a ROCK - literally! The floor […] would have been more comfortable. There was a sofa bed, which we used, but the mattress was STAINED and dirty. We covered it with the sheets provided but there was NO extra blankets. The bathroom tub filled even though we kept hitting the drain button. Like I said, I stayed at Comfort Inn & Suites in the past but THIS ONE was really bad. Mehr

Staff was very courteous, let us check in early, which was nice after a long drive. Room was clean and comfortable and this is really all we were looking for. Only disappointment was that the next morning when I was looking forward to a soak in the hot tub I found the heater wasn't working so the water was tepid and there was an older woman with a horde […] of young children screaming and splashing in the hot tub and not the pool. I lasted about 5 minutes and gave up. Staff really should intervene in cases like that and ask guests to be courteous of other guests. But the breakfast was good and my kids looooved making their own belgiun waffles so I kindof forgave them. All in all, a good place to stay if you're not looking for fancy. If you want upscale there's a Double Tree next door, but I liked this price-tag much better. I'd stay again. Mehr

What a dump this place is!!! Do NOT stay or even think about booking this house of horrors. The location is the only good thing about it. The rest of this place is uninhabitable by any human being.

this is a basic hotel if your there to get some rest. Rooms are comfortable however the door to my room stuck and I would have to use force to get in. The indoor pool & hot tub were disappointing pool was very cold and hot tub felt the same temp as the pool. A thoroughly dilapidated property, with non functioning security door near my room, broken treadmill, and the worst breakfast selections I've ever encountered in a hotel! All in all an unpleasant experience!

Arrived 2 hr early..no room available yet..(due to christmas guests leaving )we arrived on 26th...Entrance very clean and pretty...returned after lunch..mall very close for eating and shopping..very convienient location and just off the parkway....Room was very clean and cozy..the suite was great for my grandson who had his own sofa bed and was separated […] from mom & grandma...the only issue we had was when you went to the pool...you had to walk out into the cold thru a garden area...so to go to the pool,,,you needed to wear your coat and shoes...otherwise our stay was great for the "great price"..I am sure if it was summer,,the price would have been 4 x the amount....I would recommend this hotel and I will now look to stay at other Comfort Inns and Suites..and the parking was free......Breakfast could have had a better assortment... The Hotel was fine, Cean and a very good staff. Two items could use improvement. 1, very dim light in bathroom, need brighter fixture. 2. Small table in room with only one chair. should have at least two chairs, a sofa would be nice- plenty of room. I enjoyed my stay.

Excellent hotel with GREAT staff..

We were just looking for something cheap and decent. We are not a picky group. Staff was very friendly, lobby was clean. Our rooms? Terrible. Stuffy and smelly to say the least. The air in the room was so heavy and damp it felt as though the rooms had never been aired out. Our room never got "cleaned" on the first day and we had gotten back very late […] that night, too late for us to even want to complain... Fire alarm in our room went off due to a "technical" difficulty and couldn't be shut off for at least 2hrs (this happened at 8am btw) Like i said, we are not a picky group but we all agreed the smell and condition of the room was bad enough that we would never return, despite the low price. Had 3 different rooms that night. I was not aware (must have missed it on hotels.com) that rooms had interior / exterior corridor (feel safer with interior). First room had exterior corridors, and Akeem the hotel clerk was kind enough to switch me. The second room did not have a working tv and I got moved next door. The room was fine but in the middle […] of the night (2am) people were making noise in the corridors and that went on for a half hour. Breakfast was ok. Rooms were run down and needed some work. Ice Machine only working on one of the three floors. Breakfast was ok. Staff was excellent, best part of the hotel. Mehr

Everything was very good except breakfasts wasn't all that. Scramble eggs were hard, cold and sausages cold and greasy. Lady always cleaned up by 10:30 or even before.

Nothing bad, having a suite is nice. No fridge in my room though?

Business travel, needed the room for the night and was happily granted a late check-out at a modest additional cost. Staff was very friendly and helpful. Hotel a bit run down in common areas, but room was clean and nice. Wireless access was terribly slow, almost to the point of being useless. I wish they would upgrade their connection.

I was very happy with everything but whatever you use to clean the sheets with bothered my skin too much and the second night had to sleep on the couch. You should take into consideration that people have allergies when doing the laundry.

The hotel was located conveniently for my trip to northern NJ. The free breakfast was reasonably wel stocked. The internet worked reasonably well within the room. However, the decor appeared to be a bit dated. The common areas looked as though they were only cleaned on alternate days, and the room had candy bar wrappers behind the furniture. Also, there […] were problems with the electric in the room and the room door didn't close correctly one evening and wouldn't fully latch at any time. Mehr

I checked in on Sat. and At first glance it seemed like a nice place to stay, but that changed when I was getting ready for bed and noticed , by stepping in a huge wet spot on the carpet in front of the window. The window was leaking. I went to the desk to let them know of this right away. Yes, they offered to move me to another room , but of course […] there wasnt one due to the storm.So I asked for some towels to put on the floor. I also let them know that the phone and the cable wasn't working. The guy at the front desk told me that they had no maintenance and he would come look at it. After messing with the phone and tv he gave up not knowing what to do. I wasnt to upset because the phone and tv worked in the other room and he said he would let me know as soon as a room is available. That never happened either. I had to go to the desk and ask.. Still nothing . So I went back to the room and placed some cups under the leaks to catch the water and the maid put down a sheet. So I checked with the dest again, shift change so new guy . He said there was a room but I decided to stay not wanting to deal with the move of all my things.Then I checked out on monday , yet another new guy . I made sure he knew of the problems of the room and he informed me I would be contacted. That never happened. So I called and spoke with the manager and he wasnt very nice and blamed the storm. Im pretty sure the storm didnt cause the leak, you can tell that by all the stains and pealing . All in all , just look at your room before you unpack. You will see the stains on the ceiling and and the paper peeling . The only thing that may of made it worth the money was the location. Mehr

I wasn't expecting much when I got to this Comfort Inn. I mean, I've been to other Comfort Inn's in the past and they really weren't spectacular. But I've got to say, this Comfort Inn was very nice. The outside coridors were ok, but once you got into your room? Wow! The decor was lovely! Very modern. And that bed was SO comfortable! My head sunk into […] those pillows! The bathroom was also updated and spacious. The continental breakfast was more than I expected. Warm waffles, scrambled eggs, roasted potatoes. Overall an A+ experience. I recommend this Comfort Inn to anyone looking to stay a night or a week. You won't be disappointed. Mehr

The hotel staff was very nice. Overall appearance was that the hotel was a little old feeling except the rooms looked like they had been recently rennovated. Our room was accessed from a courtyard rather than inside the hotel. There was a severe thunderstorm one of the days and the couryard flooded. We could walk under the floor above but didn't matter […] since we had to walk through about 3" of water on the ground. Had it rained much more it would have run into our room. Better to ask for an upper floor room! Breakfast that was provided wasn't the greatest. Dry, instant eggs and even the waffles tasted bland. Hotel is about 10-15min from a beach with great access and bathroom facilities so that is a plus. We stayed at this hotel to be closer for a few visits to NYC and the beaches. The commute wasn't bad at all to NY but it did take us about 40min. to get to LIberty State park for our trip to see the Statue of Liberty. If we did it again I'd try for a little closer to NYC to avoide some tolls! Mehr

It was a very nice room, alot of room not alot of money. It was was close to everything. Not hard to find from freeway. I would recommand it to everyone.

The Comfort Inn in Middletown was not at all what I was looking for. When I walked in the phones in the rooms were all not working. No wake up calls available and you could not call out in case of emergency. I had to go and ask for a different room because the rooms were all outside entries. Like an old motel. The rooms were old and not kept up. The […] complimentary breakfast was terrible. Not many choices and the dining area was filthy. I have used hotels.com many times to book rooms for my stay, this was my first bad experience. Mehr

was in the area for a family reunion, wanted a suite as I need more than one room when staying for more than one night when travelling with family. The hotel had an unusual design but the rooms were quite spacious and the price was very reasonable for the location.

The dumpster out back was better qualified as a suite than the rooms. The first "non-smoking" room I was given smelled like someone had smoked a carton of cigarettes and rubbed the ashes in the carpet. The front door was also damaged and looked like it could be pushed open even when locked, and there were various holes in the walls and a water valve […] sticking out through the drywall in the living room. I was staying with my 6 year old and when I requested a different room, was told there were none available. While watching TV for about 10 minutes, the TV went blank, smelled of electric fire, and smoke came out of the back. Once the TV almost set the place on fire, another room was mysteriously found that we could move to. The 2nd room was better (not hard to do), but by no means up to the standard of a suite hotel. This property is more like a run down motel with a new outside paint job. The rooms and bathrooms are outdated and in disrepair, walk ways outside the rooms are falling apart, and the place is simply borderline uninhabitable. There are plenty of other reasonable options in the area, and I would definitely avoid this place at all cost. Mehr

The lobby and building exterior have been updated, the rooms have not. It was in need of a major renovation. The room was dark and dingy. One of the AC units did not work properly, so it was rather uncomfortable. I would pass on breakfast. The sheets and towels were clean. The room was quite large, easily accommodating the 5 travelers we had.

The best thing about the hotel is the breakfast the next morning. The woman in charge of the breakfast worked really hard to keep everything full and fresh. She took real pride in her work. The hotel had new wallpaper, decorations and linens. But the room (room 319) was MUSTY. The carpeting looked like a pattern from 1974 and could have used a good […] shampooing. The toliet lid and bathtub had strange, very deep scratches. The maids do a great job of cleaning everything. The hotel just needs to have a carpet service come in and do some replacements of the toliet lid and bathtub. Mehr

Beds were extreamly comfortable loved the fact that there was a living room type area as well as bedroom. Manager was extreamly friendly and knowledable. The only complents I have were, the hot tube jets were not working at all. Entering room- wet floor in bathrm- one guest almost fell, refrigerator not functioning- only one of the two access cards functioned- desk chair filthy- telephone so dirty couldn't use had to go to front desk to report our findings- upon arrival on 1st floor wet tile very slippery (which continued day & nite) related to people walking from the indoor […] pool area to rooms or elevators. Only breakfast room- not resturant-as indicated but thank God 'cause it would have probably mimicked the other deficincies we experienced. Maintenance man (now 1 -use to have 4 but 3 were laid off) was very kind and replaced the refrig. Housekeeper came and did the areas when pointed out to her. I had reserved three additional rooms for other family members- some of them experienced- TV not working- air conditioner not working- couldn't turn off the water after taking shower- missing plug in one bathtub drain. Inaccurate info about directions to & service times for local CHURCH from desk clerk. The clerk offered a 20% discount for any return visit- I promised that would never happen by any of us and we would tell our family & friends the same. Only positive identified was small square pillows for the beds but no one could identify the manufacturer or how to obtain them........... So paying AHEAD of time they had MY MONEY but couldn't deliver what/how their add reads Mehr

I was pleasantly surprised that the room was updated and nice. It even had a microwave and a refrigerator. You can't beat the value for the price. I would definitely stay again.

I was very happy with My stay at this hotel. The rooms were large and clean. The housekeeping staff was friendly, along with the front desk. Breakfast was also very good,eggs sausage,waffles,etc. not your usual continental breakfast.But none of the gym equipment worked and the pool was a little small. Close to racetrack, mall and beach. Very accommodating staff when I need a very early check in. Good value and convenient location next to parkway and local beaches

It was a pleasant stay. Not too expensive. We checked in very early because we got there ahead of schedule and we werent charged an extra penny. Friendly service and u can make your own complimentary waffles for breakfast.

Spent one night and went to the beach the next day. Very convenient location, large clean room, good bedding. There was also a separate sitting area away from the bed so one person could stay up and watch TV. Very good free breakfast buffet. Would recommend as a better than average hotel room. Good for the price.

We usually stay here once or twice per summer. It is easy to get right on/off the garden state parkway. Seven Presidents is nearby and it takes us less that 15 minutes to get to the point Pleasant boardwalk at night. The room (suite) is great size for my family. Room is clean and comfy.

We enjoyed the stay. However, the smell of the room was a little discussing. I feel that all hotels should be smoke free. By having a smoke free rooms there would be no lingering smell. Also, the breakfast lacked food. The four days we stayed there were no bagles at all. We had to ask for food because there was no food at time. This stay was very different […] from last year. The front desk staff was overly accomodating and swtiched around reservations to give us a first floor suite. Breakfast is served and after hours the staff is still avaialbe to assist you, even though they are cleaning up. The customer is first at this hotel and it shows! We booked this hotel last minute and got an awesome rate for a huge suite! The […] hotel is in a very nice and convient area, right by the Parkway and a major hopspital. Easy to find!
