Rydges Plaza Cairns - Cairns

The staff are friendly and helpful. When arriving on the 6th floor the the first thing we noticed was the damp smell all down the corridor. On entering the room the same smell was in the room and the ceiling tiles at the room entrance require replacing. We opened the room up and let it air which helped. The cistern leaked that night(which we reported) […] and the mats were soaked. Needs a bit of updating. Mehr

Overall is pretty good as I have a great vocation with my family. Perfect location and staffs are surely delivery great and excellent service. If not having high expectation on accommodation. Ryges plaza would be a good place with resonable price. Some recommendation would be suggested. Free WiFi should be available in hotel lobby or public area.

This hotel is within easy walking distance to shops, restaurants and the Esplanade. It also has a great bar and restaurant on the third floor, which gets very busy on the weekends. good place, and convenient in the city.

The motel whilst looking "tired" on the outside was well presented on the inside. The staff were great, but the inhouse restaurant is obscenely high priced for the scope of the menu.

I found the room clean and cool. The Rydges Plaza staff were very pleasant and available at all times to give any help that was needed. Over all a very satisfying stay.

The hotel is reasonably priced for what you get. The room was new but the bathroom is a bit dated. The room and bathrooom were clean. If you just need a decent place to rest, this is sufficient.

We stayed 3 nights and found it to be very clean and comfortable. Staff were very friendly and helpful. Although its not a modern hotel building, the rooms appear to have been nicely refurbished recently. However, some of the corridors could use a lick of paint here and there. Great pool and bar area. Although the common rooms, reception etc were fine I found the bedroom to be a little grubby and dated. It definately was in need of maintenance. There were drill holes in the wall that were not filled, the bottom of the room door and bathroom door were peaeling away and chipped and the sink surround needed maintaining or replacing. We were actually disappointed in the hotel once we checked in and were settled in the room. This is a much older property than it appeared on the website and, while there may have been renovations to parts of the hotel, the room was really musty smelling, and the bathroom was very old with water stains all around the bath tub. This hotel still uses […] actual keys instead of any kind of key card for the doors and there was just one key (somewhat difficult when there are 2 or more travelers). We also felt that they nickeled-and-dimed us to death. For example, there are no ice machines for the guests but room service will bring you ice for $4.00. You can go get your own bucket of ice from the bar, though. Additionally, there is a $3.50 PER DAY charge to use the in-room safe (which again is operated by a key and not a code). This was different than both of the other hotels that we stayed at in Australia (Sydney and Melbourne). There was neither a charge for ice nor use of the in-room safe. It was so humid in the room that the cabinet in which the little refrigerator was located finally stopped closing because the door was warped. The only good thing about the hotel was the location. Grafton & Spence is 2 blocks from everything - so definitely the best location. Mehr

The hotel is old, although they had it renovated you can still see. They only renovated parts of the room. Entrance and bathroom are very old and they also did not paint the ceiling which was grey and black. Pool and location are really nice. But still would not go there again.

We were very impressed with hotel with its convienient location and surrounding area. Our room was cleaned every day and was very comfortable. All the staff we met were willing to help us and were very friendly. I would recommend this hotel to any of my friends

Our stay here started off great with some excellence assistance from the front desk on deciding a Great Barrier Reef Tour. Our room was great - clean and well-maintained. The area was good except the nights were a little loud. I don't know if it was the neighborhood or the fact that our room was over the hotel bar but we had to use our ear plugs on […] the weekend nights. Walk distance to everything!!

週末夜遅くのディスコパーティーには閉口しましたが、総じて気持ちよく滞在できました。買い物や観光に便利な立地とスタッフの気持ちよい対応がウリです。

フロントでは気にならなかったが、エレベーターを降りたとたんに、廊下全体がかび臭い匂いがした。部屋もそうだった。

立地は町の中心地にあり，コンベンションセンターにも近く，ビジネス向けホテルとしては良い立地．建物は古いが部屋は広くて綺麗にしてある．プールサイドから行けるレストランバーはリゾート気分．コインランドリーもあるので助かる．部屋に有線ネットはあるが，利用料は高い（これはケアンズのホテルは何処もそうらしい）．スタッフの対応はよい． 部屋の難点としては，古いせいか水回り設備がイマイチで，洗面台の蛇口が閉まらない，タンクの大きさの割に水量が少ないらしく，トイレの流れがとても悪いなどのメンテナンス不足が目立った． また，ハウス・キーピングも今ひとつ．掃除機かけとベッドメーキングは毎回きちんとしてくれていたが，アメニティ補充やタオルの交換し忘れが目立った．
