Legacy Cardiff International Hotel - Cardiff

The hotel needs total rennovation. Personnel are not motivated to help guests. No going out possibilities in the neighbourhood. Because of the 6 Nations Rugby Match (which was a wonderful experience!!), we had no choice but this hotel. Otherwise, I cannot reccommend this hotel.

Room very comfortable and clean. Our comment that the heater wasn't working and room was cold was dealt with very promptly. Restaurant disappointing - limited choice and food was mediocre. Breakfast also disappointing - not much choice

Like 1980's hangover with lots of little flys in the room as a bonus

The room was really comfortable and cosy, but was a little too warm that evening so we needed the window to be open, that in turn meant quite a bit of noise from the passing traffic, which we are just not used to. We will definately use the Cardiff International again, but will ask if we can have a room towards the back of the hotel.

Dirty toilet on arrival, within minutes I asked for it to be cleaned and it never happened, we had to use the toilet in the lobby to brush our teeth in the morning. Good job we only lived 30 minutes away where we went home to shower.

Hotel was chosen bescause of location as able to make the most of surrounding attractions over the weekend stay. Function room loud and obtrusive if you wanted an early night air conditioning would have been good as couldn.t open windows too much because of function room. Room was very clean although reception staff could pay more attention to a freindly […] demeanor and listen to requests from guests especially as i was notifying them of a damaged chair which never got replaced. good value for money,lovely big, comfortable bed, friendly, helpful staff.

good hotel, good location, good staff and great price. Only draw back you really need a car to get to around but as I had one no problem.

The staaff when checking in was dull unfriendly I wouldn,t recommend this hotel

hotel in convenient location for our needs,staff were helpful and pleasant,food good,bar/ lounge area good,rooms clean enough,but could have done with a little airing before our arrival,upgrading the windows would be a good idea also.overall not bad at all.

well the hotel was very clean nice surroundings the lift wasnt working and on top floor its ok cos no children with me it would of been nightmare for someone with children so many stairs room was beautiful and clean well equiped recommend this hotel to anyone comeing to cardiff hotel called me taxi excellent service taxi driver gave me card for return […] to hotel and was there when he said he would be . i didnt sample food but it looked nicely cooked what i saw, only thing and i no its hard for all companies at this time to break even or make profit ,but guys who must be labourers in area out the front of hotel doesnt look good perhaps you could give them an area other than front of hotel Mehr

Dont know where to start...... Arrived tired and late around 9pm to find lift didnt work so carried my heavy bags up several flights of stairs. Found phone didnt work in room to call for room service so went back down to order - waited over an hour for food. Then found out that the Wifi didnt work on second floor, I then had to sit in the lobby to complete […] my days work, I had to listen to awful language in the lobby as it was now late and everyone had had too much too drink. A dirty tshirt had also been left in room from previous person!! Do not recommend and will be not staying in this hotel or any Legacy Hotel in the Future Mehr

An OK hotel at the price I paid from hotels.com. Clean and comfortable.

The exterior of the hotel was as expected, plenty of free parking, well lit car park. On entering the hotel, staff were friendly & efficient.Reception was not well lit & there was a definite damp smell greeting you as you entered. The room was a good size, clean & equipped with the usual accessories. I was disappointed to see the window glass was broken.Decoration […] of the room was in need of a face lift. it had an air of neglect & need for refurbishment.However, this has been quoted in other reviews & was possibly reflected in the room price which included continental breakfast. We booked this hotel at a very reasonable price so was not expecting too much. I must say it was a great hotel, we enjoyed our stay and was. very good value for our money.

The breakfast was not great. Dishes were dirty. Eggs very diluted with water and not much of a selection. Coffee machine broke down and not available for one day.

as someone from the hospitality trade you always take a keen interest in all aspects, without doubt the legacy cardiff did not dissapoint the staff were beyond helpful and the food was a very high standard for a hotel these day i shall be using legacy cardiiff whenever i am visiting wales many thanks

IS IN A PERFECT LOCATION FOR EASY ACCESS TO ALL AREAS OF CARDIFF AND SOUTH WALES AREA.

The hotel staff were very polite & friendly. Excellent area for sightseing in S.Wales as within 1miniute of the M4. Room clean & plesent, we would stay again.

The receptionist failed to point out that the hotel had NO hot water. This only became apparent the following morning when the problem had not been resolved. I rang reception four time without reply and so reluctantly took a freezing cold shower. Then when I went to reception to complain I was asked to stand to one side and I would be delt with in due […] course, I became fed up of waiting and left, as I would have been late for my appointment. Don't stay here, you would be beter off in the YMCA. Apart from the location there is nothing to recomend this tried shaby hotel. Even at breakfast the back fell off of my chair. If they want people to stay and support this hotel they should spend some money on it. I would never use this hotel again. Mehr

Despite being very close a a large traffic junction the room was very quiet. The staff were all extremely pleasant and efficient. The room was pretty much standard for this type of hotel, and had everything needed for a one night stay. We had a great rate which included a continental breakfast.

The room was clean and comfortable, good value for money. The Check - in and Check -out was friendly and efficient. Breakfast service was rather disappointing - chaotic and non-attentive. Tables left uncleared and we were sat at a crumb laden, tea stained table - crockery placed over the worst stains. Well, for me, l think everything about the hotel is alright. The only difficulty was that the hotel is located in an area where public transport does not seem to be closer. But in any case a taxi service is as usual available. Therefore l guess it is fine.

was the cheapest in the area, but served a purpose. Rooms were clean but the hotel looked dated and worn out. Breakfast was good if you just want a traditional english. Could do with more variety. All in all not bad.

We last stayed in this hotel some years ago when it was a Quality Inn, it was fine then! Time has taken its toll and the hotel has suffered badly. This is not helped when the bedroom window has a 2 foot crack in it and is held together with selotape! Plastic cups in the bathroom (one of which was cracked) doesn't contribute much to the experience. Breakfast […] was fine though and the few staff that we saw in the hotel were friendly enough. Mehr

Jättemysigt hotel i utkanten av cardiff. Vi blev jättenöjda med vår resa till Cardiff och med vårt hotell. Hotellet ligger lite untanför själva staden vilket vi trodde skulle bli både tråkigt och dyrt med taxi. Men väl där så var hotellet jättebra och det fanns bussar som var jättesmidiga och ta vilket gjorde läget mindre viktigt. samt att det fanns […] en fin liten by i närheten och gångavstånd till ett väldigt fint slott!
