Hotel St. Marie - New Orleans

Das Hotel liegt in unmittelbarer Nähe zur Bourbon Street, die inzwischen der Reeperbahn der 60er Jahr sehr ähnlich geworden ist.- Sehr eindrucksvoller Empfang mit kompetenter Besetzung, Zuschlag für Garage 28$ plus Tax pro Tag, Zimmer wurden sehr schlecht gereinigt, Toiletten in der Regel nicht,bei Zimmerbenutzung während der vorgesehenen Reinigung […] gab es keinen 2. Versuch sondern in einer großen Plastiktüte wurden frische Handtücher und sonstige Utensilien an die Türe geheftet. Der Pool war in einem ungepflegtem Zustand. Der Shuttle zum Airport wurde in einem teuren Taxiservice angeboten, obwohl nur 5 Minuten vom Hotel entfernt der reguläre Bus - für 2 $ pro Person - zum Airport fuhr.( Übrigens als Infotipp: nur 3 Minuten entfernt ist ein Visitorcenter mit sehr freundlicher Auskunft! ) Mehr

We've travelled to New Orleans many times to visit family and for special events. This was our first stay at Hotel Ste. Marie, a block off Bourbon. Convenient to all the quirky Quarter spots. Vacherie restaurant is excellent. Chef is creative and food is delicious. Wait staff appropriately friendly and conscientious. Bar convivial and efficiently run. […] Small cafe with takeout items. Rooms comfortable, clean, unremarkable. We were by the elevator but had ZERO noise in the evening. The party hardy crowd were on another floor, i guess, or maybe in another hotel. That's okay by me. Parking is an issue and getting car in and out. Need to let people know their is a DAILY chg (which for some reason i can't post) for vehicle. That part is convenient.

Only stayed one night, passing thru New Orleans on a guys golf trip. Liked it well enough to book for multiple nights for a trip with my wife next month.

I went here with a group of my friends. The hotel is great, it has a bar, deli, and restaurant all attached to the lobby. The courtyard is really nice and has a pool enclosed. The rooms are standard and what I expected. The staff is very friendly. The location is ideal, a quick 2 minute walk to the center of Bourbon Street. THIS IS A VERY NICE HOTEL VERY CLEAN ,GRAT STUFF THE LOCATION IS GOOD NEXT TO BOURBON ST CLOSE EVERYTHING .IF I EVER COME BACK TO NEW ORLEANS I WOULD ONLY STAY IN THIS HOTEL.THE STUFF WAS AMAZING VERY HELPFULL ,KIND ,NICE NO MATTER WHAT TIME OF THE DAY OR NIGHT. This was our first time in New Orleans and I booked the hotel based on the price and the good reviews. I was not disappointed at all!!! It was very affordable compared to other surrounding hotels and the location is awesome (if you like to be right in the center of things). It is a block from Bourbon and a few blocks from Canal. A very pleasant stay in an attractive surrounding inside and out. The hotel reflected the character of the quarter.

Nice but older property. Great location and genuine French Quarter feel. Room size dictated by the older building, but was adequate.

This hotel was a great place to stay located a half a block off central Bourbon Street. The staff was very helpful and knowledgable when asked about the city and I would definitely be returning to this hotel.

Nice hotel for the price. It is right in the middle of all the action but street noise wasn't a problem. Only have one elevator which can take awhile.

Great location for enjoying the French Quarter.

When we arrived at the hotel, we were informed we had been assigned a room not located in the main building. No one even mentioned that there was no elevator, or helped bring our bags up the 2nd floor. Had my parents been assigned this room, they would not have been able to negotiate these stairs - this should definitely be something you know before […] your reservation is paid in full and you have no options!!!!! I was very happy about the location of the hotel to bourbon st which was my main reason for booking this hotel. The hotel charged me for parking overnight without any disclosure of this fee. The rooms had a musty smell to them and it was also neglected to tell us that the hotel was having renovations being done. Knowing this would have made me book […] a different hotel. The Hotel St. Marie is conveniently located just one-half block off Bourbon Street. Its Old World air and smallness adds to its appeal. My husband and I enjoyed trekking through the French Quarter and returning to the hotel frequently for rest and refreshment. The staff members were courteous, efficient, and welcoming. Parts of this hotel are very tired. Most of the staff likewise. Not worth the money despite it's location. We had to walk over the soiled linen from the previous occupant for 24 hours to enter our room. Checkin and out incredably slow.

New mattresses would bring comfort to a 5 Remember Hotels.com charges total amount of the trip when you make reservation. Direct reservations with a hotel only use your card to hold and charge you when you actually stay.

Hotel St. Marie was so very accomodating during our birthday celebration stay! Although we were disappointed that the pool was drained and under maintenance, the staff was so accomodating to all of our needs and even sent up a bottle of champagne for the "birthday guest." Overslept the next morning and we were allowed to stay an extra hour beyond check […] out at no penalty. On site parking very convenient.....a great place to stay in the French Quarter. Mehr

For an incredable price.

We requested a room facing the courtyard thinking it would be quieter than the street. Instead it was constant repair work to the pool which was so loud we could not use the balcony or even stay in the room all day. There was no apology from the staff or any attempt to make it right.

A great find in the French Quarter, a block from Bourbon Street, a short walk to Jackson Square. The hotel was very clean and the staff were polite and very helpful.

The staff were very friendly day and night. Very convenient to all the sights of the French Quarter. We traveled with our family and two children, and were very surprised on how quiet the room was given the noise of the surrounding area outside.

I have stayed several places in New Orleans but this was by far my favorite. This hotel is not only very comfortable and clean but it is walking distance to pretty much everything in the french quarter. Most of the staff was very friendly and helpful including Rocco who helped us when we had some minor confusion with our room safe. I didn't really like […] the fact that I was charged for two days of parking when we checking in at four p.m. and out at eleven a.m. the next morning but I probably should have asked them to clarify the policy when I booked. I enjoyed my stay here and will plan to stay in the St Marie on future visits. Loved it! Mehr

All employees were very helpful. Close to many activities. Quaint decor. Private quiet quarters.

Nice Hotel, the staff were polite and helpful. You are right around thee corner from Bourbon St. Will stay here again.

The Staff has always been very helpful with any needs I have had in my last 3 stays there!!!

Wife and I enjoyed our stay at the Hotel. Security is one of our primary concerns. Especially in that close to Burbon St. But soon after we arrived we found out that this should have been the least of our worries. No way you were going to sneak into this building. Not without a key or someone buzzing you in. Room was large and spacious. Was upgraded […] to a suite. Everyone was very nice an accomodating. They even took care of my car and parked it safely in their garage. Space was limited so please be aware of the parking situation. Mehr

We found Hotel St. Marie to be very convenient for walking throughout the French Quarter. We stayed for 4 nights. It was clean, safe, & comfortable with polite, accommodating staff. The breakfasts we had were exceptionally good.

Recentkly had a wonderful stay at Hotel St Marie. The hotel was clean, attractive, and had a very nice restaurant and lounge. The food was good and the staff was wonderful. Everyone that worked here was friendly and entertaining. Couldn't have had a better time.

This was a mid-week, non-holiday, non-event booking, so the rooms were VERY affordable. (be sure to tack on 25 or 30 bucks for parking, tho. that's just a fact of life in the French Quarter). This is not a luxury hotel by any means, but it is very clean, comfortable and efficient. Everything was great! Pleasently surprised!

Our room was comfortable and clean! Loved being on the first floor with windows looking out onto the street. The bathroom was extremely large. The convenience to the fun bawdines of Bourbon Street was wonderful yet the room was quiet enough for romance and restful sleep. Valet parking was secure and reliable. Will stay here again!

The hotel definitely served it's purpose. If you're looking for a hotel to spend time in, take in the nuances of what it can offer and watch Sportscenter all day this is not it. It has an amazing location and is not loud at all. The staff was very helpful and the room was more than sufficient. The Hotel has a helpful and very busy staff and a great location right in the middle of the French Quarter. The rooms were spacious and clean and there is an attached restaurant as well. There is nothing extra special to the place, but I would stay here again if I got a good price because of the location.

Great hotel in a convenient location. The staff was very nice and helpful. I would definitely stay here again. My husband and I had breakfast in the hotel restaurant (Vacherie) and it was delightful! I had the andouille hash and my hubby had the crawfish frittata - both were excellent.
