I was there for a week on business and the staff were really friendly and helpful. I did manage to get a parking ticket when the parking lot was full as I didn't ready the street sweeping signs so just watch out for that if you have to park on the street.

The Hotel looked fine from the outside courtyard, small but clean. The room was another thing altogether. Although it was relatively clean, it lacked simple comforts that usually come with any hotel room - specifically in the bathroom. First: the handle was missing from the inside of the bathroom door. Once closed, you couldn't get out. I was lucky […] that my wife opened the door when I tried in vain to open the door and ended up knocking so that she could open it. Second, there were only two towels in the bathroom - no hand towels or washcloths. Third, there was only one little bar of soap - no shampoo or conditioner and no lotion. The last deterrent to stay here was the level of noise from the room upstairs on the second floor. You could hear the bed and the floor/ceiling squeak any time the occupants would move. If you can avoid this hotel and can spend a little more for a nicer one, do it. Mehr

Arrived late good service from staff, bit far from airport $25 cab ride but perfect if you wanna decent hotel before heading to downtown La, Santa Monica beverly hills and Hollywood. Safe and secure nice place.

When we got there the lady behind the desk didn't speak English and could not find our reservation even though we had a confirmation number so we had to wait 45 mins for her boss to show up.. she then offered us a ground floor room which they didn't even have available so when we got to our room which was a non smoking room.. it smelled like a ash tray […] and the smoke detector was missing from the wall.. and after all that the bed was horrible and pillows were I don't even know if you would call them pillows they were that bad. The air condition was so loud and would turn on and off every 20 mins .... It had to be the worst night I ever stay anywhere Mehr

Great hotel for tourists. Close to Hollywood, the ocean and also pretty close to downtown. We got a great welcome with all the info we needed for our stay from the guy who was working that evening, Chandrabhan. Overall easy to recommend the place!

the hotel was not good to find . the hotel itself was ok no coffee maker. The parking was horrible better park in the streeet. no washer or dryer it was broke. internet was free. and good.little high price for the room.. unless you can't find another hotel and only for one night it's ok.Even with my gp the freeway was hard to find.

The hotel was nice, clean and the front desk clerk was very attentive. Across the street is the Wood Cafe, which is fantastic. 15 minutes to downtown Via Venice Blvd. Would stay there again.

Nice little gem in the rough. Parking is a bit tight but neighborhood is safe. Staff is friendly and the room was very clean!

This hotel was perfect for my needs. It was close to my meeting & was very accomidating. The hotel staff was very nice & efficient. The only issue was the limited parking spaces.

Very noise and we felt like we were in a porn Movie.

This is only one step above a no-tell motel. Pluses: Free WiFi and Ethernet, newspaper, relatively clean, new TV, away from freeway. Minuses: not enough offstreet parking, lame breakfast, could never get TV channels to work, on noisy street. The main problem is that this is a 50+ year old motel with lots of deferred maintenance (or at best a coat of […] paint). That my door molding was split (i.e. someone bused the door in and they didn't put new molding in) was a bad sign, and everything else was consistent with cutting corners on maintenance. Mehr

all i have to say is that there was black mold growing in the restroom and that alone should stray anyone away from using this hotel that is a huge health hazard

Poor breakfast , toast ,cheap sugary pastry, cover and sunny D...... Only one sofa to sit on for breakfast....expensive for quality........however the proprieters are delightful people....and this makes up for the other deficiencies........parking is problematic.....

Very nice, clean comfortable hotel with great location. The staff is terrific, always very helpful. After a long days work it's very inviting!

We were looking for a hotel that was not going to kill our finances and found this one. The hotel was clean, comfortable and very affordable. The bathrooms even have real tile! The internet was easily accessable and fast. There are resturants near the hotel along with other attractions at the city center. I plan on coming back to this hotel for my needs […] in the future. The hotel room was very small but it was clean and in a great location with easy access to the beach.

I can get past a hodge podge of furniture, ugly carpeting and drapes, and even a small room. But I cannot get past: lumpy uncomforatable mattresses and pillows, sheets that are TOO SMALL for the bed/not even tucked under the mattress, lack of convenient parking, a shower that took almost as long to heat up as it took to take, a shower that just sprinkles […] on you, or an advertised free breakfast that consisted of nothing more than orange juice, coffee and prepackaged honey buns as if they were just picked up at 7-11. We had to juryrig the drapes closed and, at closer inspection, the chairs looked like they had been recovered by a 8th grader (exposed unfinished seams and the like.) In our room of two double beds, one bed was practically in the bathroom/closet; I could practically roll over, sit up on the edge of the bed and brush my teeth. Find a better hotel than this one. Good central location in Westside L.A. and can get to freeways and Venice beach / Marina Del Rey quickly. Room had stains on the wall that we had to use a towel to wipe off, kinda gross. No cross breeze to air out the room, so the air was sort of stale. Have to drive to go to restaurants.

basic room but with very convient location close to 405 freeway. Comes with LA times newspaper and breakfast. Good bargain for the price.
