Das Hotelpersonal war in den 4 Tagen, die wir dort verbracht haben, insgesamt sehr kurz angebunden und damit auch (für uns) eher unfreundlich. Vom Flughafen fährt alle 20 Minuten ein Shuttle-Bus zum Hotel, was sehr angenehm ist. Wenn man allerdings am ersten Tag nach einem Transportmittel nach Newport (Waterfront in Jersey City) an der Rezeption fragt […] und als einzige Möglichkeit ein Taxi für 55 USD vorgeschlagen bekommt (es gibt, so haben wir in den Tagen die wir dort waren gelernt, zahlreiche andere Transportmöglichkeiten wie z.B. Bus, Zug, Path...), ist das doch sehr ärgerlich!!! Man sollte meinen, dass sich das Personal in der Gegend doch auskennen sollte. Wenn man also auf dem Newark Airport landet und am nächsten Tag gleich weiter fahren will, liegt das Hotel sehr günstig! Falls man aber noch ein bis zwei Tage in New York verbringen möchte, gibt es bestimmt bessere Hotels mit einer besseren Lage! Mehr

when I first got there, my room was not done properly. also the room was not smoke free and carpet looked old. for the price i paid , I expected alot better. I need to be compensated accordingly.

Appearance wise the best part of the hotel is the lobby. Beyond the lobby there was an old smell. On the fifth floor the hallway carpet needed to be replaced. what i wanted was shuttle to the airport and a place to stay between connecting flights. i like the newark flight status display in the lobby. the staff was efficient and polite. pool looked great although did not get there.

This hotel is a good value for business travelers. It's close to the Newark airport, has all of the things a business traveller needs like free wireless, a bar/restaurant in the hotel, and free shuttle service to/from the airport. The neighborhood is rather sketchy, but what do you expect for the neighborhood around the Newark airport?

Front desk told us car price to cruise port would be 45.00 ordered for us, did not check with driver charged us 80.00 and said that was normal price, could have taken taxi for 60.00

This hotel is in good condition and comfortable, the staff are hard work, having to get a voucher every morning for breakfast is tedious and they all seem to have all gone to the same charm school and failed all the exams. I always thought America was all about service and this place let down this US tradition. The bus to the airport is very useful […] running at all hours but when you get asked rudely for a tip and you give $5 for a 2 minute ride and he laughs and says "is that all" you really have lost every desire to ever return. So my advice to all, its a comfortable place, there are no room safes, one towel between two is not great, there is no service with a smile, if you can bare this, use the room, dont even bother talking to the staff and never tip as they may laugh in your face and its better to have the last laugh. The hotel was nice, even upgraded in comparison to other Crowne Plaza Hotels. The location and surrounding buildings were awful. It looked like empty car lots--nothing nice to look at. A plus is its close to airport.

Cant recommend this hotel, very tired room, courtesy bus took over an hour to arrive. Thank god it was just a stop over

I liked everything about the stay except the Sunday morning breakfast. The buffet set up was very disorganized and the food wasn't worth what it cost. Cosidering how bad it was, we shouldn't have to pay for it, but we did.

This hotel is so hard to get to. It is really not easy to find it, and once you find it, it's not easy to get around that hotel. The corridors are very dirty, the carpets have never been washed.

The room smelled like cat urine, the air-conditioner was very loud- when it kicked on you had to raise the volume on the tv and the beds and pillows were not comfortable. I have stayed at other Crowne Plaza's and this location should be renovated or closed down.

Thank you for making our stay such a memorable and fun. The front desk was patient and friendly. Housekeeping was helpful and accommodating. Danielle the bartender was awesome. We loved your place it was clean and the service was 5 stars!!

The Crowne Plaza wasn't bad for the price. Approximate 30 minute drive to Manhattan but, the only inconvenience was the road exiting the parking lot of the hotel was one way (northbound) and you had to drive half mile up the road and drive the neighborhood in order to drive south. If you stay at the Crowne Plaza you will find out what I'm referring […] to soon LOL. All in all the hotel was okay and I would recommend it. Mehr

We stayed here because we had an early morning flight. The shuttle to the airport was quick and easy. The room was clean and quite large. The staff was nice and the restaurant was okay. Would stay here again for an overnight.

Had to switch rooms; first one smelled so strongly of mildew/mold that it was overpowering; second was less so but still distinctive. Front desk not especially helpful, but rest of staff very friendly.

Price was compelling. Staff was friendly, warm, engaging and helpful. Rooms were comfortable and the bed was outstanding. My head hit the pillow and the next thing I knew it was morning. My GPS had a bit of a struggle finding the place but i was glad I did. Excellent value in the NY area.

Only thing was most of the time the lobby & outside entrance needed to be clean, but the rooms was comfortable and clean. Differently worth the price, but you need to have a car or pay for taxi's to eat after 9:30 or so.

The staff was extremely nice and the bed was very soft. I think if it wasn't for the tourists adventures, I probably would've stayed in bed the entire stay. Loved the gym, but the outdoor pool was closed :-(. Oh and the food wasn't all that great and yet very expensive. Overall, I was very comfortable staying there.

For a Crowne Plaza this place was disappointing. The bathroom was way outdated - gross hair dryer and no toiletries (called down for some). The food was pretty affordable and good for room service. The Internet was PAINFULLY slow. I waited an hour to download an important work file - serious inconvenience.

It was a quiet nice hotel. Close to Manhattan (take bus 112 - takes 20 min). Jersey Gardens is also close if you want to do some shopping. Why stay in Manhattan and pay much more when you can stay there for much less? Rooms are clean and i liked the service of the hotel store. Cons: The restaurant at the hotel isn't that good. The lobby staff isn't […] that nice. If they would set something else than that fake smile it would be nice. Thanks. Mehr

Bonjour, j'ai été à New-York le 3 et 4 septembre dernier. J'ai réservé avec Hotel.com une chambre à Crowne Plaza Newark International Airport. J'avais vu des hôtels moins chers que cet hôtel mais j'étais prêt à payer plus cher pour avoir une piscine. Arrivé au Crowne Plaza Newark International Airport, on m'a appris que j'avais été transféré dans un […] autre hôtel (Ramada Plaza Hotel Newark International Airport) sans même m'avoir avertis avant mon départ par Hotel.com. Ils m'ont précisé que c'était le même type d"hôtel. Arrivé au Ramada Plaza Hotel, j'ai constaté qu"il n'y avait pas de piscine et je n'ai eu aucun dédommagement. Il y avait même de la moisisure au plafond de ma salle de bain. je suis très déçu de l'hôtel et du fait même, de l'agence d'hôtel Mehr

Les hotels sur manhattan étant très chers, cette adresse est intéressante, à 45 mn de Madison 15 mn de marche jusqu'à la gare d'Elizabeth North (attention arrêt des train jusqu'à 10h et à partir de 17 h) sinon la gare d'Elizabeth est à 30mn à pied + 30 mn de train direct manhattan. Nous avons pris une chambre pour 4 avec petit dej mais celui-ci n'est […] que pour 2 ! à négocier avec les serveurs, pas le petit, très désagréable. nous n'avons également que 2 serviettes, nous devions en réclamer 2 autres tous les jours.
