The online map of the hotel location was incorrect but our GPS was right on. It is located just one block from access to the I90 highway. There is a gas station next door on one side and a fast food outlet on the other. Lazelle St. conveniently leads right down town to eating establishments. A comfortable stay at a good rate.
"Days Inn in Sturgis, SD"
My biggest frustration is the lack of parking. Otherwise it was quality for the price we paid.
We were very pleased with the personal ,as well as the accomadations. Only one suggestion--a rubber mat in the shower, so as us elder people with problems won't slip and some kind of handle to hold on while getting in and out of the shower.

"They should pay you to stay there"
By far the worst experience I've ever had with a hotel staff ever. All 4 staffers I encountered were rude, unhelpful and acted as if you were a complete bother to their otherwise boring day. The hotel is old, and in disrepair. The bath towels are worse than most free towels at a gym to wipe down equipment. I highly recommend never staying at this place. […] I'd take a tent with me and camp at a KOA before I stayed at this dump again. Mehr

"Days In Customer Lost"
A close friend passed away two days before my reservations. I immediately called hotel.com to cancel. Three different hotel.com agents tried to explain my circumstances to the hotel, and I, personally called the hotel to reason with them. The manager at this particular Days Inn would not allow hotel.com to refund my paid reservations, nor would they […] allow me to reschedule or transfer to another Days Inn in the future. Since it is the height of the busy season in the Black Hills, I'm sure they had no problem filling the room for those nights. But with more than a 48 hour cancellation notice and with such serious explanation for cancellation, the room was paid by me and no doubt rented out again when I couldn't make it to my destination. I travel a lot and have always recommended Days Inn from my two businesses. I will never book another Days In and I will never recommend it again. Mehr
"you get what you pay for"
The hotel was ok. It was clean and the staff was friendly enough. The night clerk went out of her way to get me a first floor room when she saw I was handicapped though they need an elevator. The sink was not part of the lavatory set up which was a major inconvenience since we had a double room and I was traveling with my ex husband. It had a little […] coffee maker which was nice. The shower mechanism was tight which made it difficult to use. The free breakfast had to be eaten in the lobby which was not too great. It only consisted of toast and donuts.
