The room was very clean and spacious. Reasonable priced and very close to outlets.

Our room was in one of the outside buildings, and we would have preferred an executive room, inside the Inn. But I guess we were lucky to get a room at all, since this was the last weekend for the Jazz Festival and they were fully booked. Service is always good at this hotel, but we will ask for an inside room next visit.

Stayed in the executive quarters and was pleasantly surprised at the upgrades since our last visit. Room was clean and comfortable along with the room service that we used which was prompt and courteous. Will stay there again on our next visit.

I stay for one night on march 24, 2012 for the Berkshire Jazz festival. It was raining that night and the temperature dropped. The hotel heating system was turned off since the previous week when the weather was warm. They never turned it back on and you can't control the heat or the ac from your room. I complain to the front desk that it was cold and […] they told us to come and get some additional blankets. The hotel needs to be renovated. The hallway smell of stale cigarettes. Mehr

The staff was very friendly and helpful. The room was very nice and the beds comfortable. We plan on staying again in April.

The Inn has done a lot to upgrade the rooms and they are very nice and quite comfortable. I miss having a refrigerator but I guess you could request one. I had a funny experience, I was going to breakfast and the housekeeper asked if I wanted room service. I told her yes and I needed a towel and regular coffee. When I returned from breakfast, the towel […] and coffee were set on the sink inside the room, but bed was not made, trash not emptied, etc. I don't think room service should be optional. I stayed at the Inn at Reading for one night for business travel. While the room was reasonably comfortable, the process of check-in and finding the room was a bit of a nuisance, and the hallways outside of the rooms had a smoky smell, although the room itself smelled fresh. Beds were comfortable, location isn't particularly exciting. From the website, […] I was expecting more of a quaint, bed and breakfast style of a place, but what I found was more like a motel. I would recommend this hotel to anyone planning to go there for any reason other than staying the night. The service was wonderful, the food was great, and a convenient location. The room however was less than wonderful. It was clean, and looked clean, however it smelled terrible. I HAVE STAYED AT SOME OF THE NASTIEST FLEA BAG HOTELS AND AT LEAST HAD A COFFEE AND DONUT OFFERED TO ME AT BREAKFAST.NO CLASS AY ALL .THE GENTLEMAN AT THE DESK SAID THEY ONLY HAVE A BREAKFAST ON WEEKDAYS.I GUESS WE ARE NOT HUNGARY ON SATURDAY.REAL TURNOFF......................................

Nice rooms for the price. Some rooms have been updated. Would be nice if all rooms were renovated.

We were upgraded to an executive room-- everything was good.

We booked the room on New Year's Eve so we really didn't spend much time in it but when we woke up, we were starving and so we looked at the In-Room Dining menu and ordered the fruit platter and a bagel. Worried that it would take forever because everyone would be dining in due to hangovers, we were overwhelmed when they came a mere 20 minutes later […] with coffee!! and the most beautiful fruit platter I had ever seen at a hotel. There was so much, we had to take half home. It was served with yogurt for dipping and it really hit the spot!! Mehr

48 hours after we told the front desk that there was writing in poop on the inside of a stall in the restroom next to the dining room, it was still there.

Such a pleasant stay. It was refreshing to stay at a non-chain hotel.

This was the 2nd time I have stayed at The Inn At Reading. The 1st time was in a room that, probally was due for an update. But it was clean and sufficient. This time I stayed in on of the Executive rooms and it was Very nice. The linnens were of high quality. The best of this hotel, though, is the staff. They were very friendly and went "that extra […] mile" as a matter of course. I forgot to mention that this was over a holiday weekend. One of the best ways to tell the quality of a business is to see that the staff are happy to be there. Even on a holiday! Mehr

My husband & I stayed here to attend a concert at The Sovereign performing arts center - a little off the beaten path but suited our needs. We would go back.

Okay for the price and location.

The Fire Alarm went off twice, once during the day, and the other at 4am! It was close to all the freeway entrances and restaurants. Our window did not lock… and the Door lock was broken on our door. I would recommend other hotels in the area.

We stayed at this hotel before, its nice. It had a few updates I quess because we stayed in a larger room. They really need to work on the bathroom fixtures, the shower head was so old, no real pressure. Overall its ok , and we would stay here again.

The executive room that was confermed was not available when we checked in. We were given the spare bridal suite, a room with out the upgrade features we had paid for in advance. The only compensation offered was two complementary breakfasts. We were not happy with the take it or leave it attitude of the management.

The room was spacious, clean and everything worked. Breakfast was OK and free during the week, but not good enough to pay the charge they imposed on weekends. The "fitness center" was as minimal as it gets - one treadmill not working, no straps on the bike pedals, no weights at all, and not even a water dispenser. I went once and didn't go back on my […] 3 day stay. The "business center" was a single terminal in the lobby with a printer. A big plus is when I asked the desk clerk to call my room when the PC was free so i could print out a boarding pass, he offered to do it for me behind the desk, saving me time. good price , nice hotel close to race track.

Older, but well kept hotel. Good service, was very satisified with value compared to many other placed I stay.

NOT SO NEW HOTEL WITH POOR MAINTENANCE

The food in the restaurant is excellent. Only note - the king size beds are very high, you have to take a running leap to get into, but otherwise comfortable.

They need an upgrade badly. We arrived and immediately had to have our room changed because of the dankness and mold smell in the room. The neighborhood is at the end of the road near the highway and feels like a factory area. Not worth the money.

Staff in dining room was wonderful. Food was very good. Facility is starting to show its age

The Inn at Reading is in a good location for a good price, but be warned that it is showing its age. For example, in our most recent stay, one of the beds squeaked a great deal, the TV's sound was muffled, and the tub caulk was cracked and rusty. The shower had separate hot and cold faucets - haven't seen that in a while. There was scraping and painting […] going on in the hallway right outside of the room. On the positive side, the hotel has a classic feel to it, with lots of wood and old time features like a library room. It is located near lots of outlet and standard shopping. Bottom line is good value and location, but know you're not getting the latest and newest accommodations. Mehr

This Inn is outstanding. The room we had was large, spacious, and very clean. Hotel staff are very friendly and courteous. The breakfast weekday morning is outstanding. I will not hesitate to stay here everytime I'm in the Reading area.

The hotel was fine. My children and I enjoyed the swimming area. The continental breakfast was what was expected. The room was comfortable and looked clean. However when we were leaving and checking to make sure we hadn't left anything under beds and dressers we found an old toothbrush and someone's flipflop. So the staff clearly doesn't clean thoroughly. […] Also the alarm was left on and woke the family up at 6:30. It was a fine stay for the money. Mehr

Cute hotel, although a little outdated. Room was spacious and comfortable. Free breakfast in the hotel restaurant was an added bonus and a step up from the usual continental buffet. Hotel staff was helpful and the location is convenient to restaurants and cute local boutiques, as well as bigger name shops. Outdoor pool was clean and refreshing. As usual I read all of the bad reviews and prepared, but if those reviews were accurate, it seems the staff read them too and fixed the problems. All of the staff were very cordial and went out of their way to be helpful. The room was a little larger than normal. Having a sink in the bathroom and another in the area outside the bathroom was nice. A […] couple of shortcomings were that the pool did not seem have nearly enough lounging furniture for the number of rooms, and there was no coin operated washer and dryer on the premises or nearby. With a pool on the premises there should be a way to dry towels and swim suits before packing to leave. I brought my dog with me and there was plenty of grassy area with sidewalks. As with most places though there were those who somehow have wrongly come to believe that leaving their pet’s waste to become someone else’s problem is OK. It is annoying, but not something the inn is responsible for. Overall it was very restful and convenient. My girlfriend was very take with the look and charm of the place. Mehr

This is the third year in a row that we stayed at the Inn at Reading. They are currently remodeling which is needed, but I must say that even though the decor is older, it was very comfortable, especially the beds. The food is excellent and the pool area/patio very inviting. The staff was accomodating and mostly pleasant. I will be staying there next […] year. Mehr

Who gave those star rating and WHEN ???? 1: ants build a nest over night in my shoe in the bathroom coming in the room under the many many times calked crack between the bathtub and the floor 2: beds are due for the Smithsonian .. probably 100 years old … ended up putting the mattress on the floor to sleep so I don’t wake up when I turn around SOOOOO […] LOUD 3: the “do not disturb” sign was removed at 7:30 AM by housekeeping simultaneously when knocked on the door and yelling “HOUSEKEEPING” 4: had to move the two chairs next to the TV cabinet to keep the doors from closing so we can watch TV. 5: Do NOT slide the TV out unless you are a big dude and are able to catch it … the entire TV cabinet is rotted and TV has broken frame that indicates it fell out before. Lucky it was not my 10 year old daughter that opened the TV cabinet because she would have been under the TV on the floor. Mehr
