Comfort Inn Birch Run - Frankenmuth - Birch Run

This hotel was clean and comfortable. The staff were all very nice and helpful. The location is a close to all local attractions. We enjoyed our stay very much and would definitely recommend this hotel to others.

Hotel was nice, clean. Bed was comfortable. Included breakfast was pretty good. Located close to shopping areas & interstate highway. Only complaint was the outside entry door. Our key cards would not open the door. Had to go in an entrance down the hall from our room.

Nice hotel. Seemed to be clean. Pool was a little questionable with the copper staining on the surface. Close to shopping and the Christmas store.

Thought it was pricey for what we got. Hotel staff not overly friendly. Acted like we interupted their conversation when going up to the front desk to ask question and when checking in. Pool floor looked dirty like it had never been cleaned. ok for 1 night stay.

Hotel is located just off the highway and the Outlet Mall is 3 min. by car.Check in and out was easy as pie. Girls at the front desk are awesome. Rooms are very clean however with a couch in the room it was a little crowded. A second chair would be better suited. Water pressure in the shower was my biggest turn off but then if that's all I have to complain […] about it's a drop in the bucket.LOL! Ashley, thanks for suggesting Lucky's Steakhouse, the food was fantastic and cheap. Also for the directions to Great Lakes Crossing Outlet. Nice break on the drive back to Canada (more shopping girls, incase you missed something). I will stay here again on my next shopping vacation. Mehr

Stayed with our 2, 2 year old boys. Our room was very clean, would have given a five if the tub bottom hadn't been stained. Great location for Birch Run shopping. Liked having the fridge & microwave in the room. Breakfast was very good with appealing choices for both us and our kids. Will definitely stay again.

Overall, the hotel was nice with a few issues. As other reviewers have stated, the hotel is going through some remodeling and various areas of the hotel look worn or dated. The breakfast was good for what it was, but the fact they have one employee working the entire area is ridiculous as they could not keep up. I would definately recommend this hotel to other people the only thing I would suggest is that you do not try and check in early as they do not allow this. The staff were great and very helpful this is a completely non smoking hotel so request to be near a door to go out quickly for a smoke. The pool was wonderful and so was the hot tub only thing I […] found is the parents watching their kids in the pool did not adhere to the rules very well. Parking was a bit of a problem as well I noticed some guests did not have a spot to park near where there room was as they had 2 trailers taking up 4 spots for what I think was renovations being done in the hotel. The extra lock on the door was missing some screws as well so not very secure. The beds were very comfortable but the pillows were too full for my liking had to flatten them to sleep. Over all this is a very clean quiet hotel that I would definately stay at again. Mehr

While it is a smoke-free hotel, the room had clearly been smoked in extensively. This entirely negated their on-going, albiet shoddy, renovation. When questioned on this, hotel staff were ineffectual.

First off, we thought we had booked a different hotel closer to the outlet mall as I had to leave early for business meeting and my wife could walk across the street to shop for the day. We realized the mistake we had made and proceeded to the Comfort inn to check in. We were pleased that we ended up in this hotel. We were not expecting a 5 star experience, […] but this hotel exceeded our expectations and we were satisfied. Room was adequate, with fridge, although a bit stuffy when we first arrived, but this was solved with an open window and turning on the A/C. The stay wasn't too bad - but I have to say that I was not at all impressed with the comfort of the bed! I didn't sleep at all that night and my body was aching the next morning from head to toe! Flatter pillows would have been nice! I know all of this is a personal preference - but I guess that is what evaluations are for!!

The location is absolutely perfect close to the outlet, meijers for some groceries and necessities and a reasonable distance to Frankenmuth for some good German food and fun. The room was a good size with everything you need when you travel with kids. My only complaint would be the bath tub could use some major scrubbing or replace. We were searching for a reasonably priced hotel to stay in for the first leg of our trip. Was so amazed with the size of the room! Have paid twice as much to get a third of the space. Clean - considering the lobby was under renovation, no dust anywhere! Quiet - even with small children in the next room. Comfy beds and pillows. As someone with mobility problems, wish that the bathroom had bars in the shower (we could not take an "acessible" […] room as it only has one bed and we needed two). The only complaint is the breakfast - the eggs were weird, tasted powdered and full of water, and simply could not eat them. However, with sausage, bread, bagels, fresh fruit, coffee, etc., was able to enjoy the meal. Highly recommend this hotel and will definitely stay there again when visit the area next. Mehr

The hotel was a stone's throw from Birch Run Outlet Mall and less than 10 minutes from Frankenmuth. We were right close to both without paying a huge price for staying in a preferred location. The room was HUGE! Two queen beds, fridge, microwave, coffee maker, desk, huge wide screen LCD TV and there would have STILL been room for 2 or 3 cots. The […] beds were very comfie pillow tops with soft sheets and a nice heavy blanket on top. The room had A/C which was nice as it was VERY hot when we were there. There's an indoor pool which is open until 1100pm so very nice to go for a swim and relax after the kids are asleep or if you have had a long drive and get there late. The breakfast area was large and clean and plenty of room for everyone to sit down. Hotel staff were professional and courteous--check in took seconds. WIthin minutes we were given our key and we were headed up to our room. I would stay there again in a heartbeat. Mehr

There are some renovations going on, but the hotel was still kept very clean. Room we were in was recently renovated. Breakfast was the norm for a hotel such as this. Close and convenient to shopping and to Frankenmuth. Would stay again.
