Herrliches Hotel mit großen Zimmern, Balkon mit Blick auf den Jachthafen oder die Bay , Kühlschrank und warmen Frühstück in fantastischer Umgebung auf Shelter Island . Waren hier bereits zum 3. Mal. Parken derzeit nur $ 5 . Sehr freundliches Personal .

Das Hotel liegt günstig zu Old Town San Diego. Es benötigt mal eine Renovierung. Eine Lobby, in der man sich einmal hinsetzen kann, ist nicht vorhanden. Der Empfang ist aber freundlich und hilfsbereit. Empfehlenswert nur für Leute, die sich mit einem sehr einfachen Hotel begnügen u nd nicht viel Geld ausgeben wollen.
Lage
Best Western Plus Otay Valley Hotel liegt in Chula Vista (South Bay) in der Nähe von: Knott's Soak City San Diego und Cricket Wireless Amphitheater. Zu den weiteren Sehenswürdigkeiten der Region gehören: Zoo San Diego und San Diego Convention Center.

Das weitläufige South Bay ist für seine unmittelbare Nähe zur mexikanischen Grenze bekannt. In San Ysidro, nördlich der Grenze, befindet sich der am meisten frequentierte Grenzübergang der Welt. "Nice hotel, horrible employees"
Worst customer service ever! We booked our hotel 3 weeks in advance for a sporting competition we were attending for our sons. When we arrived at the hotel after a long drive and competition, I was informed that they didn't have the room we reserved and had paid in full for. The only room in the whole facility had 1 queen bed for the 4 of us. Additionally, […] they had no rollaways either. The clerk on duty was totally unapologetic and offered no solution to our problem! She just said a completely insincere "sorry!" with a huge smile on her face. Because it was so late at night we had no choice but to crowd into the room. Luckily, the hotel.com operator I spoke with from the lobby was extremely helpful and ensured that we would be moved to the correct room the next day. This hotel was actually very clean and comfortable. We had great night sleeps once we were given a room with 2 beds. If it weren't for the fact that the hotel staff is totally unreliable and overbooks their stays, I would stay here again. Mehr

Hotel is great, close to freeways & attractions. My room was comfortable & clean. My only issue was the customer service clerk on duty when I arrived. He was rude and let me know "I was lucky to get a room with two beds as I requested since I ordered from a 3rd party and was not guarenteed anything more than the room itself." All the other service […] clerks were friendly and attentive and as I said the hotel itself was great. I would stay there again inspite of the rude customer service clerk the 1st day. Mehr

"Easy stay"
Went to a concert at the amphitheater and stayed here..... Cute room, quick service, clean, and decent continental breakfast. Location isn't the best area and it is right next to the freeway (but the sound of cars wasn't bad at all). I would stay here again.
"Clean motel"
The stay was okay except being close to the freeway, ask for the side opposite the freeway. Another thing, I chose this place because the web site said animals okay, we have a Shitsu puppy, so I clicked on it at the web site. When We got there they said they didn't take animals even with a animal deposit. They finally accepted us but later wouldn't […] refund deposit. Without pet situation the stay was okay, as the continental breakfast offset other fee. Mehr
"Nicely maintained property"
Unfortunately, my vacation coincided with a city-wide convention, so the hotels closer to my destinations were not available. The hotel appears to have undergone a renovation, the bathrooms and furnishings have been updated. The rooms facing the freeway are not quiet. I heard traffic all night long. I reserved a room with 2 beds, paying more than […] a standard room. Upon check-in, I was told there were no doubles available, as all doubles had been "sold out for months" for the convention. I would not have chosen that hotel if I had known 2 beds were not an option, and I certainly would not have paid a higher room rate. Mehr
"Best Western-Otay Valley"
The hotel had vacancy when I needed it and was adequate although I'm not a fan of exterior door access. Manager that day was a bit quirky but got the job done. Restaurants are limited in the area.

this hotel was quite and the rooms were nice and upgraded. right off the 805 freeway. this a 24/7 mini mart gas station about 100ft away too! will still here again for sure!

"NO HICIERON LA LIMPIEZA DEL CUARTO¡¡¡"
Algo insólito e imperdonable Salimos del hotel despues de un rico desayuno a eso de las nueve de la mañana, y regresamos por la noche a eso de las 9:30 pm al entrar al cuarto cual no va siendo nuestra sorpresa de que ni siquiera habian hecho las camas o recogido la basura o limpiado el baño, nada lo que se dice nada, como ya era tarde en recepción lo […] unico que ofrecieron fuellevarnos toallas limpias o cambiarnos de cuarto como si fuera facil a esas horas estando muertos de cansancio cambiar todas nuestras cosas a otro edificio jajajajaja la verdad es que se siente horrible que no te den una respuesta mas que de lunes a viernes de 9 a 5 ¡Que no hay personal responsable que cheque si se realizaron las labores de limpieza o que pueda ayudar al huesped?
