Room was clean, but very cold when we came in. Heater worked well, but it took a bit to get warm in the room.

Dirty and messy. Don't stay here. Needs torn down. I can't believe this is a Days Inn franchisee.
"Christmas Eve"
Cozy room, small sink and bathroom but wasn't looking for 5 star stay. Easy to get to, plenty of food and gasoline around also.

"non-smoking room on smoking floor?"
traveled with 4 children, 3 small dogs. asked for non-smoking room. arrived and was told room was on second floor and where to access the stairs to the room. opened the door to the stairwell and was hit by the extremely strong odor of cigarette smoke. room didn't reak of smoke, but the entire 2nd floor hallway did. will not stay at this hotel again. […] room was relatively clean, but the smell of cigarette smoke was just to strong. Mehr
We just needed a place to sleep while we were visting family so we didn't need a place to relax in. Room was clean and beds were comfortable. But the building is dumpy looking.

Reserved a non-smoking room and got a room that had a no smoking sign but was smokey, smelled of smoke and had ash trays provided. Sat our 10 month old on the floor to play and he pulled trash out from under the bed. At least it was only a soda bottle but still... Wireless internet is password protected so you have to go to the front desk to get the […] password before using. Then it didn't work well anyways. Bathtub was gross. It was clean but permanently stained brown. This hotel room was okay because it was the only thing we could find and we had to stay somewhere in that area due to the death of a relative. friendly staff, clean, but small rooms and the AC was very loud (had a rattling sound to it). for the amount of time we spent in the room, it was fine. but wouldnt have spent the money if we were staying longer or spending more time in the room.

googled hotels close to Adventureland...this was 25 miles from Adventureland! NO jacuzi. FOUR tables in area for breakfast...and there was a tour bus there!!!

Very convenient to the interstate. This is an older hotel, but well maintained. Good-sized room, nice beds and TV, quiet A/C, very small bathroom. Decent continental breakfast. Just what we needed for an overnight stay.
"Half empty"
The room was half empty. There was no table and there was no chair of any type. Half the room was just empty space. Whenever I went to the front desk, it was not manned. There were no towels in the room when we checked in and it took a half an hour to get them. The room was clean.

I searched on-line for about two months and settled on a few. I used every possible newspaper, web pages, articles in finding a valuable room. Some really had some very strong issues. I am not saying this was the least of "evils" at all. I have stayed at other Days Inns and the competition as well. It seemed the over all friendliness, cleanliness, and […] quietness were the leading compulsion to choose Days Inn. It was close for my ventures into Des Moines, IA. and Ankeny. Very nice town to see and visit. The local stores were warm & friendly and Yanni's was great along with Daylight Doughnuts. I enjoyed The Family Christian Bookstore very much as well as the Marble Slab Creamery ice cream shop next door. Yum! I would stay here again when I come to the area. Mehr

The people were very nice! We enjoyed our stay and would definitely go back. We were only in town for one night to go to Adventureland and it was close enough to go back and forth.

Room was clean & comfortable. Hallways smelled a little musty (like old smoke). Could use a little maintenance. Room was everything I expected. Well worth the money.

"Good for quick stay"
I needed a place for one night and this was a nice and easy place. Quick, quite and pretty clean. If you're looking for a place to sleep overnight and a low price, Days Inn was a nice spot.

"Not a good experience"
My stay at this motel was not a pleasant one. When I entered my room, it felt like a refrigerator as there was no heat on and it was below zero outside. I turned the heat on high and had to leave my coat and gloves on for about an hour until the room was warm enough for me to take them off. The handle on the bathroom faucet came off in my hand when […] it tried to turn it on. There were multiple cigarette burn stains on the bathtub even though I had a non-smoking room. The hallway outside my room also had an unpleasant odor. There was free wireless access but it repeatedly lost the connection while I was trying to work on my computer. The hotel was right next door to a fantastic Mexican resturaunt l loved both.
"Ok place"
the room was pretty much what i had expected it to be, nothing fancy. the only thing that bothered me was that the walls were a bit thin, i could hear the people in the other room. and i could also hear people walking and talking outside my door.
"Well worth the money"
This is the second time we have stayed at this Days Inn. On our first stay we had a noisy air conditioner but this stay was great. The room is clean and people are friendly. It is a great price and a great place to stay.
"Not worth it"
Even though we requested the smoking room the room was so gross that my clothes stilled smelled of stale smoke days later. The cleanliness is greatly lacking, and it seems that they haven't kept up with the hotel through regular maintenance and replacing overused equipment.

The hotel was ok for the price. The air conditioner in our room was very loud and never shut off. Bathroom was very small but was clean. For the price, it was ok. Will probably pay a little more and go somewhere else next tim.

Maintenance is way below par. The temperature of the room could not be controlled because the dial was broken. Plus the fan speed button was missing so could not change the fan speed. The toilet rocked quite a bit but luckily did not leak. The room was quiet, whick is important. Breakfast was below average; example only bananas for fruit. No fresh muffins […] or donuts. Bagels and bread were available, plus make your own waffles. Mehr
"Great Room for the Money!"
Great room. Had my keys all ready for me when we checked in cause I pre paid. Had a fridge and Microwave, and with a 1 year old that made things a lot easier in the morning. Had a great selection for the Continental Breakfast. Other Food choices around for dinners and lunch! Overall I would definetly recommend this place as a good place to stay!

Our room was okay. But the front desk clerk could use some personality. He barely looked at us when he checked us in. When we called down for extra blankets...he was very reluctant to help us then all of sudden said okay. I really think the breakfast buffet should go later than 9 AM also. Hotel is older,, hallways were hot and musty, but rooms were better. Had to run AC tho as rooms would get hot and musty if AC werent running.

There were bugs coming out of a hole in the wall of the bathroom in the hotel. The carpets were so dirty that walking around in socks made the bottoms black. Room was not supposed to be a smoking room but smelled of smoke. The room had an a/c unit but it would not keep an adequate temperature.

The hotel is just fine for what I paid. The one thing that wasn't my favorite was that the hallway outside of my room smelled a little bit like cigarette smoke. (I think the room across the hall from me may have been smoking. Mine was non-smoking.) Otherwise, it's just fine. I wouldn't recommend it for a long-term stay, especially if you have kids. […] The rooms are small and there's almost nothing in the way of amenities. However, if you're just passing through on a road trip, it's a great place to lay your head at a great price. Mehr

"good value for a basic, no frills hotel."
room was clean, a bit out dated, but not falling apart. bed comfy, tv good, a/c extra cold (a good thing), coffee maker, mircowave and mini-refrigerator in room. All in all, adequate.
