Sehr laut durch Highway

Hotel war angemessen. Ist leider schon etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Renovierung der Flure ist zwingend erforderlich. Teppichböden auf den Fluren und im Zimmer haben erhebliche Flecken (7. Stock). Zimmer war angemessen groß. Hat jedoch keinen Kühlschrank/Minibar. Internet im Zimmer muß mit rund 10 $ pro 24 Stunden bezahlt werden. Rezeption ist sehr unfreundlich. […] Essen im Hotel ist sehr teuer und hat uns Allen (4 Personen) überhaupt nicht geschmeckt. Hotel gehört zur Hilton Gruppe, was man aber nicht gemerkt hat. Waren vorher in einem günstigeren aber trotzdem weitaus besseren Hotel in Los Angeles. Mehr

Overall good stay, booked based on need for a pool and over all price. Arrived hotel and found they charge $17 a day for parking, however hotel manager waived the parking charge. Requested 2 extra blankets for room and took 3 calls and 45 min to get them because frint desk person had trouble understaning english.

Hotel is your basic business-quality hotel. The biggest problem was the shuttle from SFO. For one, there is one shuttle for the CP in San Mateo and one for this one in Burlingame. Make sure you're on the right one. Secondly and more importantly, I waited for the shuttle for nearly 45 minutes (~930 at night) after being told they would be there in 10-15. […] Marriott, Holiday Inn, Embassy Suites and others seemed to have shuttles that came every 15 min as opposed to CP which runs every 30 but was no where to be seen. I took a cab ($20) and in the morning the shuttle was much more prompt. Mehr

This hotel is in bad need of updating and suspect Crown Plaza would take issue with the condition of this hotel as it was not what I expected from a full service Crown Plaza Hotel. Will not stay there again.

location was very convenient to highway, food and activity . staff was helpful when ever possible....would use this hotel chain in future travel plans...

My stay was for only one night. There's a very nice bar/cafe, with friendly staff, and the caesar salad with shrimp was excellent. The service overall was very good with one exception. I called the desk because I couldn't figure out the TV andI was told someone would come up to help me. No one ever came. I did, however, find what I needed in the book […] -- which is what I might or should have been told when I called for help. The price was great for my non-cancellable reservation Mehr

I prepaid room so the only charges I should have had on my credit card was two days of parking at $18 per day. When I left they printed out receipt for the correct amount of $36. The next day my credit card had been charged $50.00. Also, when I arrived at the room, right away I noticed that there was no remote control for TV. I called down and they […] delivered. I sure hope they did not charge me for a missing remote control...Not real happy also that I wouldn't have noticed the extra charge if I did not look...very dishonest. Even though I knew that there would be an $18 per day parking charge, this is an outrageous fee. The room was fine but the fee will keep me from coming back to this particular hotel. Mehr

parking is so expensive and so as breakfast. Other than that my room was good and so as my stay.

Stay far, far away. Anywhere would be better than this dump. Life is short, spend $30 more and stay somewhere worth your while. The hotel is old, dated and the customer service is none existent. My flight arrived into SFO late (1:30am), I checked the shuttle schedule on the hotel's website and it showed the shuttle was still running. I waited for over […] an hour, all the while trying to call the hotel to see where the shuttle was. No shuttle, no answer at the front desk. The phone system is evidently as old as the hotel itself. When I finally got a hold of the front desk, they informed me the shuttle stopped running at 12:45. (I've noticed that they have since corrected there shuttle schedule online). I had to catch a cab and then they would not reimburse me the cab fare. I will never stay here again, nor should anyone else! Mehr

Clean, convenient and good location. But if you are one of the unlucky ones who has been allocated a room next to the highway you might need a pair of ear plugs as the noise from the 8 land highway was loud enough to keep the room loud for the whole night.

I've stayed at this hotel 3x. I like it a lot, but it seemed that the guest attention was a bit better when it was privately-owned. They charge a ton for internet ($15/day), which always annoys me too. Otherwise, my stay was overall pretty darned good. I had a great view (I recommend the tower rooms with bay view), and my only gripes were as follows: In […] the morning, the water didn't always get hot in the shower. Warm, but not hot. I think it was a matter of everyone on that floor showering at once, because later in the morning, I could get hot water. The shower hardware was not the greatest, so after the shower, there would be a ton of water on the bathroom floor. I'd recommend this hotel. Just watch out for the bums peeing and pooping on the street nearby. They seem to congregate around this area. It's really close to the tenderloin. They have hotel security roaming around, but they can only do so much. Mehr

Make sure that you check out where your room is if you're planning on sleeping late. We found out all too late that ours was just above the dumpsters and between staff throwing stuff out and the garbage trucks, it got pretty loud.

It was not settled down to the noise of the airplane.

I had a 544 flight and asked for a wake up call that never came. There is no coffee service or anything till 6AM. Convenient to the airport and the shuttle was on time.

The staff was friendly, but the condition of the hotel is definately worn. It needs a major renovation. The pillowtop bed I had was not at all comfortable. That was the reason why I choose this hotel was for the pillowtop bedding. Not worth the price I paid. Will not choose this hotel again. Also, was told at check-in that there is a an $18 a day parking […] charge. Could have stayed at a more expensive hotel for the same price once you add the room and parking charges. Mehr

Hotel was clean, I would not recommend the restaurant here

Expensive. They billed me $50 for nothing. Parking is NOT FREE - $18 per night. I paid $47 for one sausage and eggs on breakfast. Was rainy and parking lot was full and I been angry and wet.

Easy access to 101 north or southbound. Nice rooms with good view. Slight drone of traffic noise. Hot and cold in the shower seemed to be wired backwards (rm 301) Air conditioning was a bit noisy. Watch out for extra costs like $12 for wifi access unless you sit in teh lobby, and $18 to park overnight. Some good deals available on hotels.com

Hotel was great. Room was clean, comfortable and contemporary. Check in was a breeze. Falling asleep was not because I forgot that the 101 freeway never, ever sleeps. The noise made me nuts. That said, I would do it again, in the same circumstances (catching an o'dark early flight the next day), with a set of earplugs.

We waited 45 min in the cold SFO air for a shuttle - while every other hotel's bus came by multiple times. Crown plaza's bus goes to 3 hotels - we got to one & their 2nd bus pulled up beside us! They need to stagger them / manage them better. The mouthwash in our room was used.

Free shuttle to airport. Leaves every half hour. Nice room, very quiet. Close to many restaurants.

The guy when I checked out was really not much of a help.. Very poor customer service. Dont ever stay at room 222 coz their heater doesn't work or maybe it's the same with the other rooms. All in all I have wasted my money staying in this hotel.

For the price is WAS NOT A GOOD VALUE. The room was small and not clean. More on the order of a Motel 6. Ice machine on the floor did not work. The desk said go the next floor. I said I shouldn't have to so they did come and fill our ice container. I would not stay there again.

The rate was descent & the hotel was clean & updated. I was not happy about having to pay $18.00 a day to park. When trying to take a bath the shower nozzle sprayed so there was no point in even attempting to take a bath. The room did not have a mini fridge.

The hotel surrounding area is very loud noise. The hotel is not 3 star at all, just 1 star if you give a star level. The reciptionist was very busy at that night, just one reciptionist and she was on the phone all the time and had people waited for long time. They make you pay for parking ($19 a day)! It's not even in the city? Another way to get more money I guess?

OK so the the hotel is nice enough ... but $18 to park even surprised my family who live in the bay area and are used to such high costs! And then another $10 to use the internet surprised me. I need to read the fine print better I guess. Also, the printer in the business center was not working so I had to use the office computer to print my boarding […] passes. Not quite what I had expected from a place called the Crowne Plaza. I had a room almost as big and comfortable and with free parking, internet, and breakfast at the Super 8 just north of there on my way into town! I got a good price so I thought I would try a higher end hotel, but it certainly was NOT worth even the discounted price I paid. Too highbrow for me! Mehr

We would have liked to be able to walk elsewhere for dinner, but there are no services within a short walk. The breakfast buffet, included in the price through Hotels.com was great.

The Crown Plaza is close to San Francisco as well as the Menlo Business district and the Google headquarters. I had an enjoyable night in a clean and quiet room. The staff was excellent and the restaurant downstairs was superb.

When one thinks of Crowne Plaza it would probably be with a newer hotel than this in mind. The hotel was clean, staff were fine, but it's clearly dated and does not have the more luxurious larger rooms one finds in many Crowne Plaza locations around the world. The most significant issue we found was the $18 per night parking charge which wasn't shown […] on Hotels.com. We became aware of the charge from reviews like this, but only after booking--shame on us! The rate even with parking was good for San Francisco, but not the bargain it seems since some hotels include parking in their rates. Should consider this hotel depending on prices offered. Mehr

Room was in need of new bathroom ceiling tiles, bathroom floor had stains. I felt like I got a room that is used for non revenu customer.
