Gutes Hotel mit sehr geräumigen Zimmern. Etwas "abgegriffen" aber sauber. Einer der beiden Aufzüge war leider defekt, daher entstanden lange Wartezeiten. Keine Premium-TV-Kanäle (HBO, Schowtime) nur Standard. Freundliches Personal.

Das Bristol ist Zentral gut gelegen. Was uns aufgefallen ist, dass die Hotelzimmer zwar leicht renoviert wurden, aber trotzdem etwas älter aussehen.Preisleistung ist O.K. aber würde mich nächstes Mal noch anders umschauen..

I was a last minute attendee at a conference being held at the San Diego Convention Center on the waterfront. All of the hotels next to the convention center were booked up and, in hindsight, this turned out to be helpful. The Bristol was clean, well maintained, had free WiFi Internet access and was within a comfortable walking distance to the Gas Lamp […] District and the convention center. I found the 15 minute walk to and from the center in the evening a good way to get some exercise and stretch after the all day (and most of the evening) convention activities. I can't comment on the hotel service as I had little interaction. Although when I found out I forgot my razor at 06.00, I called housekeeping and within 5 minutes a shaving kit was at my door. So for a very reasonable rate I was able to get 4+ or 5 star service in my mind and what looked like a recently rennovated and redecorated room. I'd highly recommend the Bristol if you are planning a business trip to San Diego and need to be in a central location. Mehr

Very clean, trendy, comfortable hotel. Rooms were nice, service was great. Breakfast in the hotel restaurant was excellent. Can't complain about my experience here. Be aware of nightly valet parking fee.

The guy at the counter when we checked in.... was awesome. The hotel looked awesome inside...the lobby and restaurant. The room had some obviously cheap, but creative work done to it...but it still looked good. Overall awesome.

Convenient, friendly and clean! Would recommend for anyone except big families. Good restaurant with excellent service.

The bathrooms are old and dingy and the hotel as a whole has a very weathered feel. The people that work there are as nice as can be, but I didn't like the general atmosphere.

good location , walking distance to a mall and bunch of restaurants. Watch out for beggars though. Valet parking was like 26$ a day cheaper than other hotel valet. If you want cheap parking you could find a garage around the corner for $5 per in and out.

The Bristol was lovely; it was much more budget friendly than the big ones and had a beautiful lobby. I didn't eat or drink there but the discount coupons were a nice touch. The staff was helpful and very polite. The room was big and the window was huge! Plus, you could open them for air, which I always prefer. I loved the thread count of the sheets. […] Bathroom was spotless and there were two robes and plenty of towels. It was a business trip so I needed to be close to the convention center and the hotels around it for meetings and the walk was very short. Also very short walk to the Gaslamp district for restaurants and shopping. My only 'negatives' are very small: the staff directs you to things only two blocks away when you say 'within walking distance', the bathroom had no fan and the tub was a very slow drain, so it filled up during a shower. But as I said, those are small and I would stay there again. Oh, there is some noise if you are facing the street so light sleepers should request not to. Mehr

Large comfortable rooms, updated and well cared for by a pleasant and helpful staff. Three blocks to Gaslamp District, one block to Trolly stop and four blocks to waterfront - a good location.

Besides being a very comfortable & stylish hotel, the warm, gracious customer service offered to me was well above average. Every single employee I interacted with was smiling & sincerely concerned with my comfort. I travel non-stop & this hotel will be remembered for all the right reasons!

We were in town to attend the Opera. The Bristol is one block away from the Opera House. From the hotel it is an easy walk to the waterfront and the Gas Lamp district The Bristol reminded us of the boutique hotels we have stayed at in Europe, we were completely satisfied.

Nice room; good ammenities, comfortable bed, and clean. Good Bar/Bistro on site with decent Happy Hour prices, selection and quality of food. Not crazy about the Valet only parking at $26/night, but apparently (according to hotel staff) that's lower than the going rate for downtown San Diego hotels. Otherwise, no complaints.

We travelled around the world and this hotel was reseanable price the onlt thing that was outstanding for me was free internet you could use skpe like you was at home where most hotels have charges and none had free download. Would recommed anytime..

Great location and hotel, would recommend

Air, bed, towels, carpet and room size were excellent. Facilities and operations are uneven, some elements being well above average and others are well below. What did not helped was the condition of the bath: a small L-shape fiberglass bath tub with second life paint chipping and with spots of candle wax and greasy surface... I could also distinctly […] follow my neighbor's cell phone conversation. The hotel's menu was not particularly inspiring so I went to the Sophia for dinner and to the Westin for breakfast which were both great choices. Mehr

I loved our room! The bed and pillows were sooo comfy! It was modern and simply beautiful. The staff was very friendly. The location was decent...there were quite a few bums around the area and we heard a lot of sirens as the night went by. The bathroom was also kind of small and there is no vent in there. Parking was 24 per night..which I guess was […] expected. Overall, great hotel! Mehr

Hotel was located close to the area we wanted and was very reasonably priced. The rooms were old but clean and comfortable. Unfortunately there is a Greyhound bus station across the road and a train track very close by so it was a bit noisy. The staff were very helpful.

This hotel is within walking or driving distance to the popular spots in San Diego, the only downside of this hotel is the high price to valet park at $26 per night (no exceptions) unless you want to park down the street at a public parking structure at $15-$18/ night and the noise from downtown, sirens, people screaming, etc.

Two friends and I stayed at The Bristol, and we were disappointed to find two double beds (instead of two queens,) however did note the small room size would've made it difficult to fit two queens. The beds were comfortable, regardless, we were just a bit cramped in the room overall. I imagine if you had a king-room with two people it would be just […] the right size. When we attempted to engage the front desk to reserve us a table at a local restaurant, they did not do so, rather provided recommendations and sent us on our way. Given we did not have phone numbers, etc., and all the front desk staff advised they were "conceirge," we anticipated they would be a bit more accommodating to that tyle of request, and actually call the restaurant for us. Overall a decent experience, the accommodations were okay for a boutique hotel and were clean and charming. I'd recommend staying there, but not as a group larger than two, otherwise reserve multiple rooms. Mehr

Our stay at this hotel was a dream. The service was immaculate and the quality of the room we stayed in was outstanding. Everything was very clean and comfortable and nothing seemed to be too much trouble. Can't wait to stay here again. The only negative would be the parking fees (which are similar across the city). Great hotel overall.

The hotel was very close to the Gaslamp District for eating and shopping! I also attend a conference at the convention center and the San Diego Trolley went right by the hotel to the convention center. The hotels beds are "awesome"!

I stayed at The Bristol for the tail-end of a business trip. Hotel was clean, rooms spacious, close to Horton Plaza and other amenities, but a good walk to the convention centre and harbourfront. Just a few blocks from the Gaslamp District and tons of great restaurants. Staff was very friendly and accommodating - easily directed us to some good restaurants […] and gave some good advice on how to get to some out-of-the-way places. My only caution is that, despite it being downtown, I did not like this particular part of the neighbourhood and would not feel comfortable walking alone in the evening. If you're travelling alone, this may be a concern to you. Mehr

Very nice hotel in Downtown San Diego. Great location. One block from Horton's Plaza. Easy walking to Gaslamp District, House of Blues. Too many places to eat and have a drink within walking distance to count. Rooms are very classy. My only complaint is only vending is the in-room mini bar. I think that $3 for a can of soda is a bit outrageous but there […] is a 7eleven around the corner. Very nice overall stay. Mehr

Very cute hotel. Loved the Andy Warhol color scheme. Little small of a room, but good for price. Comfortable bed. Loved the green aspect...particularly $10 off valet with hybrid car. Front desk very helpful, such as fixing double charge on parking.

We have stayed at the Bristol a number of times and it is always a pleasure. Besides being close to everything in the Gaslamp District it is very comfortable and stylish. It's a lovely hotel.

I had never heard of this hotel chain, but read the reviews on Hotels.com, loved the value for the price, and was not disappointed. Very nice hotel, great location, and very friendly staff at check-in/out. Only a few blocks from the USS Midway (highly recommend this tour), and the gas lamp quarter. Awesome restaurants and bars. All in all, a very enjoyable […] stay. Would stay here again. Mehr
