I enjoyed spending the long Ester with my family there...The suite spacious,warm enough and very clean. It also had all cooking facilities we needed for breakfast/meals. It's always at 7mn/9mn driving for every where. Telus worls of science/Italian shops/City Center/west edmonton mall... I'll come back for sure...

and someone probably had died in my room.

We don't recommend this hotel at all (mainly because we ALWAYS want a room available for us!!!). Seriously, this hotel is great. The rooms are very comfortable, with kitchenette, and the staff are amazing! HIGHLY recommended!

Stayed recently at this property -- upon entering room and turning TV on, there was no volume on any station. Called front desk, they had a maintenance technician up within 5 minutes to afford repairs. EXCELLENT service culture!

The Hotel was good enough, problem was the air conditioner in the bedroom was leaking cold air. Called front desk they sent up a maitenance man, he duct taped around the air conditioner and sent up a heater. Heater did not work and we were not moved rooms. Had a very cold night but other than this the staff were nice enough.

We really enjoy staying in this hotel. The staff are great, and the rooms are really comfortable. We have stayed at this hotel many times, and keep coming back. It's also an easy walk to the Art Gallery, City Centre Mall, parks, and lots of other attractions. We highly recommend it!

I have stayed at this hotel twic now and would return again. The rooms are dated but are very spacious. When travelling with young children it is a bonus to have a seperate bedroom. The location is great, it takes only 10min to drive to West Ed. mall and a short drive to many other attractions. There is a small kitchen and a grocery stor close by. our stay was good my only real complaint was the restraunt the food was decent, but the service was terrible even though it was not busy the two older gentleman gave the worst service we have had which is to bad because it could have been a nice dinner.

The room felt like a little apartment, it had everything we needed. We were on the 7th of like 33 floors and the view was amazing. The hotel had alot of convient things such as decently priced room service, pool, store, etc. I loved our stay. I actually wished we could have stayed for longer. We spent a few days here two separate times and the staff were wonderful! They upgraded our room both times and had a free shuttle which was great. They even had a wheelchair for us to use because I had just had surgery. We will definitely be back!

Needs to replace the king size beds because of divet or wallo. Very impressed with the shuttle service.

I'm a regular at the Coast Edmonton Plaza a few blocks away, and stay there every few weeks on business. The Plaza is more of a nice hotel - the House (this hotel) is more of an apartment-style room (I had three rooms - tiny kitchen, main room with tv, bedroom with bathroom), and is a little careworn. great romm at a great price. the downtown location is perfect. easy access to any where in the city.

Hotel was ok but rates are high and very disappointed that parking was then charged on top. Might be the way to go but I can get cheaper parking rates in downtown Edmonton.

Found hotel good for getting around too the areas that were inportant for me.I was also upgrade to a higher floor ,so the view was very nice.front office staff very flexable,and helpful over all.

The hotel is convenient to downtown, and offers full kitchens -- very useful if you prefer not to eat alone in restaurants. However the room I was given was shabby -- the furniture was frayed and dated, the carpet was clearly in need of deep-cleaning, and the kitchen counter was damaged. In addition the oven did not work,and the air-conditioner was […] very loud. Although the balcony door does open, the balcony was dirty, and the window in the bedroom did not open -- thus requiring the use of the air conditioner. The hotel is an odd design, and the walls are unfinished concrete -- not very welcoming. I'm unlikely to stay there again even though the rate was reasonable. The dirty carpet was very off-putting. We had a great stay! The staff were very friendly and accommodating, and the room was fantastic. We come to Edmonton frequently, and will definitely come back to the Coast.

Generally, this hotel was good value. It is well-located and well-maintained. It has a well-equipped gym. Staff were friendly, professional, and helpful. I was disappointed by the "plastic" blankets, and by the lack of an opening window in the bedroom.

We were not informed that the underground parking could not fit a standard pickup truck. We had to park across the street which was ok because we could see our truck from our room. Upon checkout we received a bill for parking when we had paid the fee in the parking lot. We were told that we had to pay for it because it was a part of the hotel as well. […] When we informed them (again) that we paid it through the meter they reversed the charges. A little unusual. Hotel is nice. Stay here often. Still dislike the fact you have to pay for parking. It should be free. This is the biggest thing that turns me off from booking here. The restaurant could be a bit cheaper. Especially for the portion sizes

Good location -- convenient to downtown. Suites have full kitchen. Furniture is comfortable. Hotel somewhat dated and shabby. I'd stay there again, I like the suite-kitchen style. Would be good for longer stays.

Great place top stay if your trip is for leisure time with the family. Love the fact that you get a suite with a kitchen. HIghly recommended

I really enjoyed my stay at the hotel. It was nice to have a spare room while my little one was sleeping. Very friendly and helpful staff. The first roomI got was not really what I expected, but after moving to a different room I was totaly satisfied. The first room was not even worth what I was charged for.

With such a good rate it seems that will be the room you will be provided(2nd time in that room). Room definitely was'nt the cleanest, bathtub still had hair in it , about 8 bags of garbage left in hallway right outside the room, I was told that's the way they do the cleaning , dayshift leaves it for nightshift. Probably stay elsewhere next time...

We had a great time at the Coast Edmonton house hotel. We booked the room off a recommendation fro a family member and was not disappointed. The hotel.com price made the stay very reasonable and the money saved by the kitchen facilities in the room and the location was worth it's weight in gold! We even stayed an additional night at full price because […] we were enjoying it so much. Some of the furniture/appliances and decor in our room was dated, but the view and the friendly staff made up for that. The maid service even does the dishes while you are out , which was a welcome surprise. This is a great hotel if you are in Edmonton for an extended stay and are looking to save money. Mehr

I was in Edmonton on business. The Coast Edmonton House Hotel was convienent because I was working directly on 100ave. Otherwise, the location is a bit away from the action in downtown, but an easy enough walk if the weather is nice. The lobby is clean, and the staff nice enough. The rooms are large and clean, but a bit outdated; the kitchens need upgrading- […] the cupboards have seen better days, the fridge was loud, and the dishes in need of replacement. However, for the price, you get a bedroom, livingroom and full kitchen. The AC was also a bit loud, but having a balcony to sit out on was a nice alternative. The really unfortunate part of this hotel is that you have to pay for parking, and it's a lot! On weekends, you can park less than a block down the street for less than half the price. No breakfast either. Overall though, after staying at a few others in close proximity, I would certainly recommend this hotel. Mehr

The hotel was nice, but it could be better. The only perk was the balcony. We turned on the A/C and when we came back our room was cold... but also very stinky? We assumed that it was the A/C that was making all the smells.. The beds could be comfier. Could use more pillows, and there were barely any electrical outlets, especially in the bedroom. One […] of the lamps didn't work, and we didn't like the location of the bathroom at all. We loved the balcony though. Mehr

Stayed 2 nights for a quick shopping trip & girl getaway. Got a small suite at very reasonable price on the 21 floor. The view of the river valley was breathtaking. Our room had not been renovated yet but was still OK. Kitchen was just right for snacks, drinks & we made our own breakfast. Kitchen had all you need - microwave, fridge, toaster, dishes, […] cutlery etc.. Very short walk to the downtown mall. A short walk down the street took us to an escalator going down the river bank to the park in the ravine. We ate twice in the restaurant - good service, reasonable prices, casual but elegant. Mehr

First of all we reserved a room with 2 beds and got only one. We were happy to find the pool to be open late however there was no hot tub, or even a slide for the kids. The bed/pillows were very uncomfertable. Room service was very good though (quick and friendly). We also had to park across the dtreet because our vehicle wouldn't fit in the underground […] parking (only a suv w/small roof bin) and then had to pay for it too. The hotel was much closer to Downtown than I expected, and very easy to walk around the area. The free downtown transportation was welcome, but I only required it once as the proximity of the hotel to other attractions made it just as easy to walk. I was very impressed. The pool was also a nice break.

Clean, but really outdated, bordering on shabby. The sofabed was in desperate need of replacing. Wouldn't stay here again unless it was renovated. Not impressed with having to pay to park, as a hotel guest.

Had an awesome stay best hotel yet for the price and very roomy . Would recommend to anyone who's looking for a get away for the whole family like we did.

The staff were very helpful, especially when we had an issue with the confirmation reservation not being faxed to the hotel, and when the sofa bed needed fixing the manager upgraded our room. I was very please witht he staff of the hotel and the comfort of the room.

The hotel was great, comfortable with friendly staff. My only problem was hotels.ca promised breakfast included, and the hotel doesn't offer that.

parking is a problem, and why should i pay for parking area that belongs to the hotel.

I loved having a kitchen and a seperate bedroom so that we could put our kids to bed easily. Beds were small. We were given a key to an occupied room when we first checked in but it was quickly corrected. Made me a little uneasy. Would stay again mostly because of the kitchen and bedroom.
