Very comfortable overall. Continental breakfast was average...not much to eat for gluten free diets.

Since I was in Farmington for a family funeral, the hotel was most convenient to the church, cemetery and restaurants. The room was very attractively furnished, clean and comfortable. The included breakfast was fine for both my sister and myself (we have different tastes for a healthy breakfast).

Breakfast was poor. A hotel like this should use real silverware and dishes not just plastic.

After a terrible sleepless night in a Fairfield Inn I decided to go for a more traditional 'inn', which I have not been a fan of in the past - which was a great decision on my part. My only complaints: the room was advertised as hypoallergenic bedding and they didnt have a room with that when I arrived. The guy working the desk late that night was not […] very friendly or accomodating. The girl I encountered upon checkout made up for it though. The bedding and room were so so comfortable - dare i say the most comfortable I have ever slept in. My bf has sleep issues and he slept like a baby. The room is quiant and a tiny bit outdated (old TVs), but it doesn't matter - when you hit the mattress you are out like a light for the night. The room was the perfect air temp and SUCH a bargain. It is in a cute town next to a few restaurants and in the historic part of town. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone in the area and look forward to staying here again. Mehr

Farmington Inn was in a good location, close to golf & restaurants. Farmington is a very lovely town & we came to play golf at Tunxis Plantation Golf Course. Inn was clean and the staff was helpful. Lobby was inviting when we arrived & even had hot coffee set up. Busy with a wedding party this weekend so we did not get our request for king bed, but […] queen room was nice. Room was clean, bathroom had nice towels & was clean also. The only thing I could say is they could use new carpeting throughout the Inn & T.V. did not work when we got back from late dinner, but we did not call front desk. Great place to stay. Excellent room with nice big bathroom and four post king size bed. Breakfast was great all kids off options. Got to the hotel late called out for chinese they delivered to room. would stay here again.

Thanks for the last minute reservations! Great to have this when you really need it.

Loved the feel of the hotel and room!! The bed was very comfortable and I had a good night. Breakfast was more than I expected. There was a good variety and the staff was very helpful. We will be staying there again!!! For the price you can't beat it.

I think many people might classify old as "charming" or "quaint" but I find the decor simply, old. The room I stayed in needed major updating. The bed comfortable and the hotel was quiet when I was there, but I wouldn't stay again as it wasn't a particularly comfortable room to relax in. Breakfast was marginal.

I stayed in this hotel for one night. Being a budget traveler, I took a local bus from Hartford Amtrak station to Farmington Inn. Please note that the M66T is the local transit bus that goes this route. I took some other M66 and I had to change the bus near UConn Medical Center. It takes about 30 minutes and the fare is $2.30. The bus stops right […] in front of Starbucks, which is across the road from the hotel. The hotel is on the main road itself and easy to locate. The check-in was very smooth and I was given the keys to my room. I loved the paintings in the hallway. My room was spacious and clean; so were the sheets and towels. Overall, I was very satisfied with the room and the service. The only thing I did not like was that they still have the old CRT TV sets, which seemed a little out of place in today's date when most hotels have switched to LED/LCD sets. There is cable television but no HBO. However, I did not find this to be a deal breaker as I was there for one night only. Having Starbucks and a pizza shop right next door is a big plus - the pizza place closes by 9pm, which should be in time for you to have a good dinner. There are many eating options nearby, and you can also get food delivered from a few restaurants. The hotel staff was friendly and focused on making their guests feel at home. I did not have the breakfast as I had to leave early. The hotel called for a cab when I requested for it in the morning. Overall, my stay was comfortable and I would return to this hotel again, whenever I am visiting Farmington next. Mehr

My only issue is that i could hear the person in the room above me walking around but hat could have been their fault if you know what im saying Also the TV wasn't perfect but nothing really bad and & i don't go to hotels to watch TV anyways...

Lobby was beautiful. Room was great but my only complaint was the TV's are very outdated. 4 poster bed was a nice romantic touch for my girlfriend and me. We had to leave early so we missed the breakfast.

Cute room and hotel for the price

They had a 'managers reception" in the lobby area with wines, cheese and crackers, fruit, coffee and tea. A nice cozy fireplace to sit and relax by is in the same area. A notebook is on the table by the fireplace that lists all of the nearby restaurants with menus from each, VERY handy! However, it is definitely time for upgrading! Carpets weren't […] as clean as they should've been. TV in the room was from the 80's. The room only had one glass in it even though it was reserved for two. We were told that breakfast would be served until 10am with pancakes, sausage or bacon, and something else hot. When we got to the dining area at 9:25 there was nothing hot and the warming trays were all empty. Don't park in the covered garage area unless you want to haul your luggage up 2-4 flights of stairs. Park on the opposite side of the building from the garages as there is a door that opens to the first floor, only three steps to navigate with luggage unless you have a room on the second floor...no elevator here! This hotel has charm, friendliness and it's in a positive way different from the typical chain hotel. Great ambiance and excellent breakfast.

We enjoyed our stay. The only negative thing I would say is that I requested a king sized bed and we got a queen size. Not a big deal but it makes me wonder if they have any rooms with king sized beds. The hotel looks very clean, smells great. The rugs look new and everything looks very well maintained. A little old fashioned but I actually enjoyed […] that. They do not have electronic key cards but actual keys for the rooms and that is a novelty. Good location and had the potential for alot of charm but ... We checked in the hallway to the room had an overwhelming smell from an air freshener and the room had the heating unit cover off nd in the tub Beds were too firm and the tv and carpeting were old

I was so pleased with my stay here, it felt very much like a bed and breakfast the way the rooms were furnished and the way the hotel was decorated. The toiletries are amazing, there is a rose hips and lavender lotion that I took with me and am savoring because I love the scent so much. Great service, free parking behind the hotel.

1. The Farmington Inn has a gym, a nice one, which was not mentioned in the detail. 2. We called to ask the times for the continental breakfast and we were told 7a-11a but it was 7a-10a during the week.They were very strict with regards to the times and food availability these issues are minor...overall we had a great stay.

Clean, large comfortable bed, friendly helpful staff, breakfast cafe exceptional, Starbucks caddy corner from motel, cocktails in the afternoon and easy access to I84. We will stay here again.

We were very pleased with our suite- Very comfortable beds, (Very pretty decor) and the employees were all efficient and kind! Hope to stay here again in the future!

This clean, charming inn is conveniently located on Rt.4. Morning continental breakfast has great offerings and early wine & crackers lends a very nice touch. The canopy 4 poster bed in nicely appointed room was very comfortable.

The hotel lost power due to the October snow storm. They failed to notify guests. I showed up to locked doors and where to stay. Stranded!

We arrived at the Farmington Inn the afternoon of the worst snow in the towns history. The power when out within minutes and has not returned to our knowledge one week later. The hotel staff did everything humanly possible to take care of us from providing candles and lighting the hallways to serving breakfast goodies as all the restaurants in the […] town were also without power. Our room couldn't have been more comfortable and the staff more helpful and pleasant. We have stayed at the Inn before and will definately stay there again, hopefully, under better circumstances. I stayed here for two nights in October 2011. Pleasant room with four-poster bed, individual heater control, spacious bathroom, nice towels and toiletries. Plentiful breakfast buffet. Wireless access worked without a problem. I found it a little difficult to get to off I-84 (I drove past it TWICE), but admittedly I'm not famliar with the area. Hotel was very convenient to Amberwoods, where my sister is being cared for. That was very helpful for me since I already had traveled a distance to get there.

Peeling wallpaper and cracked painted doesn't mean its not clean just shows the age of the property. Our room was clean, the canopy beds were comfy. The loc in historic area was nice, we walked around the town after breakfast. The brkfast was great however if you want starbucks, there is one right across the street. Grist Mill restaurant is a 10 min […] walk away or the upscale mall is about 4 mile drive away with lots of dining options around. This is pretty much the only hotel in the historic area, we chose it for the location since we were on a foliage roadtrip. Mehr

It was very cute boutique hotel feel that u feel like you r in Europe. The breakfast was good and quite variety of food selections. Only one thing if it is rainny day gets damp at the 1st floor...
