Everything else was fine except few things...the room was missing a remote control to tv and we had to ask a couple of times for them to bring it. Refrigerator in our room also made very loud noise. The deal did not include continental breakfast, unlike other hotels.com deals we had previously.

The bath tub drain was stopped up with hair. We had the same problem on a previous visit last fall. Also last fall we got stuck in an elevator full of people for a short time. I learned that I have claustrophobia.

I was very impressed with the hotel and staff ..they were very friendly and helpful...also the hotel is very clean and comfortable..we didnt wanna leave..we will definitely come back.

The hotel must historically have been a great one, but today all that glamor is gone and the hotel looks old and no matter how hard the staff tried to keep it tip-top, it gives a shabby feeling. The beds were not comfortable, so I could not sleep well. I found some red ants (small ones) and a small centipede in the bathroom at 6th floor, which shows […] that the structure is old and bugs are finding their way in. The area is quite and secluded, but not far from highways. I was unable to find good places to eat or just walk around nearby. The hotel staff was good. Overall, not a bad place to spend a couple nights but definitely not a place to make your base for bigger plans. Also if one is used to staying in newer hotels, they will not enjoy this place. Mehr

I was welcomed to check-in early. My stay was a pleasure!

The heating/cooling system was unbelievable noisy. I barley could hear the tv. The hotel put a block on the tv volume which did help the situation. There were 2 fruit flies flying around that was also annoying. Room service was good.

This hotel was a little difficult to find. It was in a business complex with winding roads. The staff was very friendly and helpful, the warm cookies on check-in were a real treat. We had a spacious room with a comfortable bed. Breakfast was wonderful , so much to choose from. The lobby was upscale but the rooms definitely needed to be upgraded. Our […] door did not pull shut easily. We had to slam the door to get it to shut as did others on our floor. There was a wedding the weekend we were there and the guests were very noisey on our floor. I got 2hrs. sleep both nights we were there. We had checked into our room on Thursday, September 1st because our power had been out at our home and we wanted to be able to just wake up and take a shower without having to pack a bag and go to someone else's home. Although, checkin was good and we got cookies that were great, the remainder of our stay was horrible. Our first night of getting there, […] we decided to take a shower. Not a good start because our shower turned into a bath. I was standing in my fiance's dirty water when it was my turn to take a shower. The location was covenient because it gave us immediate access to 287 since that was the highway we had to take to go to work. We were getting in late so we brought outside food into our room for dinner since it was around 1:30 in the morning on each night stay. Our food stayed in our room on the table with the television for the duration of our stay until I was tired of looking at it so I put it out on the floor in the hallway next to our dirty towels that they took from our bathroom which had also been left in the same spot for days. House keeping was not very helpful in keeping the room cleaned and when we asked for extra towels there was never any extra than what they left. We also like our coffee to be light and sweet so we asked house keeping to leave extra cream and sugar which was never done either so we started hiding what we did have in drawers so that they would leave more each time they came in. One of the times house keeping came in, they had started cleaning our room but my fiance was in the shower and they left. Well they never returned and we did not receive anything replenished in our bathroom and no new towels. We had to use the ones on the floor for the next day. The pools: The pools were nice until we saw a small piece of what looked like to us, poop, floating in the deep end. We scurried out of the pool quickly. This was the pool on the inside. Decent price for a nice room very near my Mom's place. Excellent warm chocolate chip walnut cookie at check-in.

This is a very nice hotel with many nice features including two restaurants, a lovely pool, and lots more. The room was very large and comfortable, large television and lovely bathroom. For the price through hotels.com, I can't imagine picking anything else in that area

only stayed one night, beautiful hotel, easy access,loved the cookies! children moved nearby plan on staying in hotel more often

The AC is very old, make so much noice can not sleep all night. The bed is also old.

We stayed there for one night and enjoyed our time there. The staff were great. The original room booked needed to be changed due to some very noisy occupants. They moved us without a problem to a better room without any fees. The workout facility the next morning was decent as well.

Very disappointed with customer service. I understand it's not always possible to check in early, but I was guaranteed a 3pm check-in and was not able to check in until close to 4pm - after having to check at the front desk repeatedly to see if my room was available.

Bed wasnt that comfortable. Hotel is a little outdated. Staff is very nice. Not the best bang for your buck.

I went to this hotel with 2 friends and our 7 year old children and it was awesome! We got to play in the pool and relax in the hot tub. The rooms were plenty big and the beds were very comfortable. We asked for s cot and got it right away. We also ordered room service. The food arrived quickly and was delicious. The grounds and lobby were well maintained […] and very pretty. I would HIGHLY recommend this place, especially for the low price! Mehr

The stay was good and the cookies where awsome. there was some trash left under the bed from the previous customers,but over all it was great....

Very nice, clean, quiet hotel (stayed on a Saturday). Friendly hotel staff. Restaurant and Sports bar available. Good location outside of NY in Somerset, NJ. Did not want to stay in NY . Restaurants were available outside the hotel. Close to Rutgers University. Safe parking. I think 99.99% of people will like it. Got a great rate for Friday/Saturday night meetings. An excellent place for a business meeting. Close to major highways. Clean rooms and friendly service.

I'd stay here again. I've gotten better service and more for my money, but overall it was a good stay. Could use more amenities (microwave or refrigerator) in room and the TVs need to be upgraded to LCD/LED. Staff is friendly and accommodating for the most part. I find it difficult to believe they could not provide us access to a microwave or at least […] offer to have someone heat our food for us. We wasted perfectly good food because there was no refrigeration and couldn't get it heated back up to eat it. But other than that, the staff was friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean (most important for me) and nice decor/furnishings. Pool area could use a good cleaning and santizing. Fitness area is sufficient. It isn't luxury - just above average overall. Mehr

I've stayed here twice and each time the Doubletree was the most affordable of the hotels in the area. The rooms are unspectacular, but are spacious, clean and comfortable. The Doubletree's fitness center is far superior to other hotels in its class. The lobby is warm and welcoming, the fresh cookies are appreciated, and the welcome package for Hilton […] Honors members (when available) is a nice touch. The breakfast buffet is pretty good, although not included. There are a number of hotels in the immediate vicinity -- I've stayed at several -- and the Doubletree is definitely one of the best values of the bunch. Mehr

Yuck! After a hot drive on I-95 we were looking forward to a cool dip in the pool. We checked in, changed into our swimsuits and headed outside. But the pool was padlocked at 8 pm. So we headed to the inside pool. The hottub had a layer of scum on top and the pool was about 85 to 90 degrees. Not "sparkling" as advertised. Then the hunt for the ice […] machine. The brochure in the room said by the elevators but it was as far from them as possible. The one on our floor was broken so I had to use the one upstairs. The room was spacious but in bad need of updating. The furnishings were old and beaten up. And there was mold on the grout in the shower. This hotel is a long way off the path for a one-night stay and definitely not worth it - you don't get to enjoy the grounds if you arrive after 7:30 pm. I've been to some lovely Doubletrees but this one didn't meet their high standards. The cookie was the high point of our stay. Mehr

the hotel was very noisey on sun morning we were woken up to loud music and people shouting at nights people was in the hallways making noise until the wee hours of the morning. never again!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Excellent room and service. Resturant had great food. Would like to see Flat screen TV with High definition, and a refrigerator standard. Easy acces to nearby events. Really enjoyed my stay.
