BEST WESTERN Hotel Bentleys - Stockholm

Meine Freundin und ich haben im Januar einen Kurzurlaub (4 Tage) nach Stockholm gemacht. Dort ist uns zuerst aufgefallen, dass das Hotel nicht wie hier 3 Sterne hat, sondern 4. Aber für uns war es in erster Linie wichtig, dass es Zentral liegt und günstig ist, da man als Schüler ja nicht so viel Geld zur Verfügung hat. Da das Hotel mit Abstand am günstigsten […] und in Zentralerlage war, entschlossen wir uns für dieses Hotel. Durch die Bilder, die hier zu sehen sind hatten wir auch keine großen Erwartungen an das Hotel. Doch in der Realität sieht das Hotel ganz anders aus, als es die Bilder zu zeigen vermögen. Als wir den Empfang und die Zimmer gesehen haben stellte sich uns die Frage, ob es wirklich unser Hotel war, weil es einfach nicht nach 3 Sternen und auch nicht nach 4 Sternen aussah sondern am ehesten nach 5 Sternen. Ich vermute, dass das Hotel nur 4 Sterne hat, weil die Zimmer relativ klein sind und es nur schwedisches bzw. englisches TV gibt. Aber man macht ja eh keine Städtereise um den ganzen Tag im Zimmer zu sitzen ;) Aber selbst das wäre kein Problem, da das Zimmer sehr gemütlich ist. Das Hotel ist ein Altbau, der aber vor kurzer Zeit erst renovier worden sein muss, da alles in super gutem Zustand ist und noch neu riecht, aber der alte Scharm trotzdem erhalten geblieben ist. Ein Tipp von mir: Wer über ein Stockholm-Pass nachdenkt, kann diese 55€ lieber sparen, da man vom Hotel aus eigentlich alles zu Fuß erreichen kann. Das Geld kann man lieber vershoppen :D Ich kann das Hotel nur weiterempfehlen, dabei ist es egal, ob man shoppen möchte oder lieber die Stadt näher kennenlernen möchte. Die kleinen Zimmer des Hotels waren zu klein. Es gab keinen Platz für zwei Koffer. Vielleicht sollte man in diesen kleinen Zimmer die Betten übereinander stellen!

Das Zimmer war sehr klein, dafür aber in einem guten Zustand. Das Fenster war zum Innenhof, wo sich auch das Lobby befand. WLAN gab es umsonst. Das Hotel liegt zirka 5 Minuten zu Fuß vom Hauptbahnhof (wenn man den Weg kennt und rasch läuft). Ich würde das Hotel sowohl nochmal besuchen als auch es weiterempfehlen.

Temperatur im Zimmer bei knapp 30 Grad. Hierzu gab es freundlicherweise einen Lüfter zum selbst Helfen mit der lapidaren Antwort, dass man kein "AC" habe. Dadurch schlafen nur sehr eingeschränkt möglich. Die angepriesenen 24h-Softdrinks waren auch nur rein zufällig und eingeschränkt verfügbar: Wasser aus der Leitung und Milch aus dem Automaten...und […] wenn der andere Automat funktionierte, dann schlechter Kaffee und diverse Heißgetränke dazu. Auf dem Nachttisch die altersschwache Lampe ohne Funktion und Steckdose. Das angepriesene WLAN war im unteren Zimmer nur sehr eingeschränkt verfügbar. .... Die Lage ist direkt in der größten Einkaufsstraße von Stockholm und damit recht zentral und verkehrsgünstig. Das Umfeld ist jedoch sehr teuer. Mehr

Das Zimmer war ziemlich spartanisch, der Putz bröckelt überall. Durchschnittlich sauber geputzt.. Die Reception mässig freundlich. Ausserdem wird gerade umgebaut Juli 2009. Immerhin hat das Hotel durch sein hohes Alter Charme und einen schönen historischen Lift. Besonders toll ist auch die Lage an der wichtigsten Einkaufsmeile Stockholms. The location was nice, max. only a 10-minute walk away from the Central station. Breakfast was good, staff was very helpful. A lot of restaurants near by, especially good Italian ones.

Nice, well kept hotel in the middle of Stockholm. Good, rich breakfast and friendly personnel.

We really liked the hotel. The room was a bit small, but not a problem. Two people fit in still and it was really cosy. The location was great - just on the main shopping street and metro close by. The "atmosphere" in the hotel was great. The only minus was the breakfast staff - there were trolleys where people could take their trays but when they didn't, […] the tables weren't cleaned very fast. Great service. Pretty good location. Short walk to closest metro station. Nice street. The room was tiny, but very clean. Very impressive for a 3 star hotel and you really can't beat the price. Includes a very nice breakfast buffet and pretty good looking lobby.

i was happy to find that we got an 4th floor room although we booked for a room with no window. The room is very small but good furnitured in classic style. The stuff was very hospital, the style of the hotel is nice, the room is quiet. Breakfast is appropriate. The location is good. I would recommand to go to a restarant "steakhouse" on the same street. […] 99SEK for lunch buffet, very tasty. Mehr

Nice rooms (don't take the economy rooms if you want space to actually open your suitcase, they are really tiny), nice location, very friendly and helpful staff. My only complaints: - Wireless doesn't reach the 5th floor (they provide you with a wire, but that doesn't reach the bed) - you don't have an electric plug in the bathroom for your own hairdryer - […] you need to climb stairs when you enter the hotel, which is annoying when you have heavy luggage on wheels or a wheel-chair (I actually don't know how if the hotel is wheelchair-accessible at all) Mehr

the rooms on the 5th floor are tiny, and I would recomend them for a longer stay. Two nights are fine. My friends purse got stolen from his room, which I think is pretty strange as you need to use your card to come into the room.....

I´ve read that the rooms are small, but my single room was big enough, very nice and clean I really can recommend this hotel. Breakfast was also ok. Of course nearby airport buses and train. You can walk anywhere, hotel is right in the biggest shopping street. What I think was not so good the reception staff was a little rude.

The rooms have little space for anything but the bed and desk. Fine for one person spending little time in the room. Would be a tight fit for a couple.

Really nice comfortable hotel, very clean and modern, its location is fantastic, close to many really good reataurants and bars, but not noisy and boisterous. Lovely building internally and an excellent breakfast. I would reccomend to anyone

one female was at check in desk, she was busy with her friend. not helpful for information. Just don't get the feeling she try to " make you feel at home" as the other Best western I stayed during the same trip.

Great place to stay while working in Stockholm. Close to Central Station, great breakfast, awesome staff. Would definitely stay there again. Beautiful hotel. Rooms are a little small, but it wasn't a big deal. Internet worked like a charm. Book it!

I recently visited Stockholm where I stayed in this excellent hotel that was built in 1712 mand renovated last year. The Hotel has magnificant decoration of rooms and very delicious Breakfast Buffet and very very well managed. The best of this hothel is outstanding and friendly service of front Desk associates and manager Jenny. They are all wonderful […] individual with great personality to serve me the best service whenever I needed. They are very friendly, courtious and very helpful. They made me feel very welcome. Breakfast associate is also very polite and helpful. I will stay in this hotel everytime I visit Stockholm. Mehr

I have traveled extensively in Europe and am used to small rooms but this was tiny. It was smaller than a small interior cabin in a cruise ship. The hotel was in a great location but beware of the size of the rooms.

Bentleys is a reconstructed block of flats with glass-roofed courtyard in a main street of restaurants and shoppes. Courtyard serves as breakfast and reception areas, glass roof keeps it dry. My room faced the courtyard. Any conversation or activity in the courtyard was clearly audible through open windows, necessary during warm summer weather. Also, […] fresh air at a minimum since windows to courtyard lead to indoor/outdoor space. Charm of building is not deniable. Original lift operated, then went out of service. Other lift added in reconstruction was fine at opposite end of building but certainly better than carrying a full suitcase up or down. As reception closes overnight, and no security guard is provided, there was an incident on the last night of my stay in which someone broke the glass in the front door (perhaps they had lost the security code) resulting in a noisy fracas about 3am.That was not conducive to sleep or guest comfort. Internet in room, as promised, was without additional cost. However, it was wired, which meant that I needed to disconnect the phone to use it. That became inconvenient when someone tried to call me. I was on the fourth floor in August, and it was uncomfortably hot to me. My only other complaint is that the breakfast buffet started at 8:00 am, which is a little late in the day for me. Otherwise, a nice building and friendly and helpful staff.

Relatively close to many places of interest. breakfast is nice although it would be even better if there is some changes to the menu every few days. furnishing is comfortable and functional except the toilet could have been better designed to prevent spillage of water from the shower area to the rest of the toilet.

Really pleased with this hotel. Some of the reviews said the rooms were tiny, and where they are certainly compact it wasn't that bad. On holiday I tend to spend as little time as possible in my room and this was more the suitable. Really clean, nice bed, and very good sized bathroom. Staff were extremely helpful and friendly, offering any suggestions […] for restuarants, bars and where we needed to go to get certain buses. Location was perfect, very central and close to central station and other metro stops. Breakfast was ideal, catering for whatever you could want. The customer service was excellent and the breakfast very good. However, the lack of air conditioning made it too hot to relax comfortably. Although we were given two fans, it didn't make enough of an impact and also beware that the beds are far too soft to enjoy a good night’s sleep. I would wake each morning with aches and pains. Although the surrounding […] area was nice, I would much rather stay in Gamla Stan on our next visit which was much more beautiful and interesting. Mehr

No complaints about these convenient, clean, and comfortable hotel. My single room was small as expected but comfortable and modern. Seems like it's just been refurbished as the entire hotel was immaculate. Great buffet breakfast included in a lovely open courtyard. On the end of a very busy shopping street in Stockholm, so you can either go towards […] it into the sightseeing area or away from it to a quiet residential neighborhood with shops and parks. This hotel has been recently redone. My room was very modern and fresh. It is about an average size European room (small for Americans). I recommend getting a fan from the front desk when you check in. It can be a noisy area, and if your "window" opens into the atrium where they serve breakfast, you want it closed. The neighborhood is really nice and […] has a lot of good restaurants a couple of blocks away. The staff will get you ice if you ask for it. I was able to easily walk to most places in the city from this hotel. About a 15 minute walk from the hotel to the main train station. Mehr

We stayed three nights in the Best Western Hotel Bentley in Stockholm in June, 2011. Good location, with lots of cafes and shops nearby. Abundant breakfast buffet. No tub but the shower and sink were gorgeous green glass with sand-colored tiles. Would definitely stay there again.

The desk staff were helpful and friendly throughout my visit. They spoke excellent English, which I appreciated since I only know a few Swedish words. I stayed in the smallest sized room, but it was efficiently organized -- really quite adequate and comfortable. I would stay at this hotel again.

This hotel has an excellent location, and has great service. The breakfast is great, and there are coffee and snacks available 24-hours per day. If you take the Flygbussarna (coach bus) to the last stop next to the train station, the hotel is only a 15-minute walk. I highly recommend this because the taxis are very expensive. Lucky I'm a rather thin guy... Booked a single room, and it was really small. I think the smallest I have ever stayed in, including ferry cabins! Still, good hotel in every aspect. Nice breakfest area and the location is really perfect.

Lovely hotel full of interesting architectural features. Stayed on 4th floor in small double room overlooking courtyard. Vey quiet and peaceful for city centre location. Close to everything required for a short city-break e.g. restauraunts, bars, shops and transport. Great breakfast! Would definitely stay here again.

Nicely located a 10-minute walk from the Central Station on one of Stockholm's most popular shopping streets. Older building tastefully renovated. Excellent breakfast buffet, very helpful staff. No air conditioning, which is not generally a problem in Stockholm, but the first night I was there it was very warm. Room 309 has a lovely old tile oven […] as a feature. Mehr

The hotel is located right at the prime location so it was no problem finding a place for dinner and shopping. However, the room was small and it wasn't so clean. Staff were friendly and very helpful.

Utmärkt service i matsalen av en dam som håll koll på frukostbuffén, rent, snyggt, snabbt. Kanske något skramligt pga klinkergolvet och den stora volymen på frukosrummet. Små nätta rena rum, bra badrum och stor gardrob. Återkommer gärna.

lille hotelværelse, kan ikke anbefale at man booker et værelse til tre, selvom det er deres luksussuite man får tildelt, rummet er alt for lille til ekstra opredning. Der er ikke noget bruseforhæng når man skal i brus, så alt er bare vådt når man er færdig med at vaske sig. Morgenmaden var god.

Rummet var bra och en mycket fräsch toalett, enda nackdelen där var duschen att man inte kunde stänga om sig så det blev jätteblött på golvet efter att man duschat

Bra läge och god frukostbuffé. Härlig atmosfär i lobby/frukostutrymmet. Minus var utrymmet runt sängen och när man duchade så blev golvet utanför vått, en list eller dörr kanske?. Trots det sista rekommenerar jag hotellet. Läget mitt i Stockholm är ett stort pluss!
