We went to Disneyland and checked in at 10:30 at night and then fell asleep. Everything was okay. All we did was sleep, eat the breakfast (has make your own waffles and cereal and doughnuts) and leave. My only real complaint is that the beds were hard and the bathroom was old. But it was a great location for the price.

We will never go back,

It worked out well but was not happy that i could not add another night on to my stay at the same rate i already was paying .....did not stay the extra night because of that. It was relatively close to Disneyland

I was a little nervous after reading some of the reviews but our stay here turned out to be great. It was a 15 min walk to Disneyland which might be too far for some, but we did it no problem with 3 kids ages 5-10. It's not the most luxurious hotel but I wasn't expecting that from the price. Personally, […] I figure you spend the majority of your time in Disneyland and just need a hotel for sleeping and showering and this hotel was perfect for that. Our friends chose this motel for us and them. It is about a mile from Disneyland. The owner who checked us in was less than friendly. He charged me $25 to check in early (1pm versus the 3pm check in time) even though our room was already ready for us. One of the locks on the door of our room did not work so I did not feel totally safe. I lifted up the […] mattress to make sure there were no bed bugs and there weren't, but there was a big silverfish living under there (which I promptly killed). There was toothpaste in our sink, presumably from the previous occupants -- gross! On the third day, we had no shower curtain. It is very easy to hear your neighbors, especially when they come in at 2am. Did not use the pool. The breakfast room was small but adequate, although there was no water to drink -- only coffee and juice. Only one waffle maker so the wait was 10-20 minutes to use it. We used the Anaheim Resort Transportation (ART) system, but the owner refused to sell the tickets so we had to get in our car and drive to the ART headquarters to get the tickets. They were surprised to see us and said tickets were sold at all motels and hotels -- except ours because the owner didn't want to be bothered by it. Convenient for him, very inconvenient for us! Our friends thought the motel was fine, but I guess I am more spoiled and expect more. I will not stay here again. Mehr

room was okay...beds were okay...location pretty good. You get what you pay for--which isn't bad--was lied to when i was asked if local calls were free. This motel is convenient, although having the "Main Gate" in the title is very deceiving since it's a mile from Disneyland. We had 3 rooms in our group, and one had holes in the curtains so the sunlight streamed in and the door to the room had to be put back on the hinges to even shut it! Totally unacceptable! My room was clean but the bathroom fan […] sounded like a jet rocket taking off and could be heard by the room next door. The one good thing I can say is the continental breakfast included hot items such as waffles and toast. For the price, it's a bargain, but, too many broken things to say I would go back! Mehr

Our family stayed for 6 days while we went to Disneyland. The staff was kind and helpful, the room smelled clean, all five of us fit in the room comfortably with an extra air bed, and it was an easy walk to and from Disneyland. I would stay there again.

The hotel is no where near the park. You would have to walk over the freeway to get to it. The room was nasty. The bathroom had mold all over it , a broken light, the tub didn't drain, and the shower head went to my chest so good luck washing your hair. The staff was rude, we heard every move the other guest made. We booked two nights and only stayed […] the first night and we slept on top of the blankets in our clothes. DO NOT STAY HERE! Mehr

This was a nice place for the price. They provided a shuttle to Disneyland for a fee but it wasn't reliable every time. Only a 20 min walk to the park but very tiresome at the end of the day

-room was clean & spacious;1 of the lamp sockets by bed was broken so light didn't work (i tried replacing good bulb).it was little dark on that side but it was ok for me. i let front desk know about it & not to worry about it till after i left (i was there only 2 nights). -i stepped on a sharp nail coming out of the bathroom-floor edge (where the door […] closes)-rug was frayed so nails were exposed. -location was close to where i could drive to everything & other guests said not far to walk to north gates of Disneyland. i didn't try thr small pool, but i saw other guests having fun! -cont. breakfast good! ruit & juice good, cereal, eng. muffins, toast-they even let me take a little extra for the next day since i was leaving at 5am & breakfast didn't start till 6:30a. :) -OVERALL, not fantastic but still a GREAT bargin for those on a budget. I had spent more $$ on a diff Ramada closer to the Maingates for my older kids in college, but after i took them back I didn't need as much room or as close to the main gates. The ONLY saving graces, is the cleaning staff did a nice job and the waffle maker during continental breakfast. There is NO shuttle to Disney from here. A walkable shuttle that is a paid service that has kiosks that are not nearby, to buy reasonable tickets or you can do it online. Should you come in the night before and not have time for the kiosk, […] as a walk in, they rip you off and it was the only reason we stayed near Disney. We could have gotten a nicer hotel because we used our car and parked at Disney which took us 30 minutes (because all Disney parking is offsite, they shuttle you further than the hotel!). The bathroom floor was oddly discolored and serious signs of unkept bathtub with caulking and the like. Their beautiful handout stated they have a shuttle to Disney and their checkout time on door in room says 12 and it is 11. Hotels.com agents were very helpful and told me the hotel did not have a shuttle ahead of time, but said we could use ones at hotels nearby. Very disappointing. No one told me about the "Anaheim Resort Shuttle" kiosk or I would have planned for that. Mehr

Very clean hotel. Front desk man is very friendly and nice. I love this hotel!

If you just need a room to get a good night sleep when you go to disneyland this will do,but don't expect a 5 star room.The housekeeping was good.

From the front desk to my room, service was friendly, helpful, and above expectations for this price. Lots of families. It's a middle-income people's place and you see that in the unpretentiousness of the families and some of the manners of the children and their parents. As a single guy (I was attending a conference, not Disneyland), I felt quite out […] of place. No partiers at all. It's for families. The only weaknesses that I can say are the neighborhood being only OK (but that compares to the area immediately at Disney's front gate. Compared to where I stayed for a higher fee in San Francisco, Oh my God better). The area was safe, but without any spirit or friendliness on the street. You could see the fireworks out the window, though. Other weakness was that the complimentary breakfast, though itself good and the place clean, lacked seating. Only 6 tables, so I took a lot of space & there were often people standing. They'd benefit from having a bar with stools, so that people could take less space. I traveled from Japan, but I'll definitely be back again for a Disney trip sometime, so I'll definitely be looking to go back there if they don't raise the prices. It was only a 20 minute walk for me to Disney's main gate, probably 30 with my toddler if he came. My last comment, and this is what sold me, I was chatting with the front desk guy when a very demanding and unbending guest who wanted everything her way but wouldn't bend or even listen, but the front desk guy dealt with her respectfully and patiently. I left before the end, but I waited 15 minutes while they went around in circles and I felt for the guy. Nothing against the woman (who had a handicapped person waiting in the car and seemed tired), but the front desk guy did his best to help within the available rules, which seemed reasonable. I believe this hotel is a cheaper option to stay at when visiting Disneyland. You can walk to and from the park but I recommend using the bus so you can save all the walking for the parks. You have to cross some busy intersections if you decide to walk. You get what you pay for. It is a cheap hotel so don't expect too much but it was good for the price […] i paid for. Mehr

I was upset that I was booked @ Maingate North & not Maingate. We stayed @ Maingate last year & wanted to do the same this year. I was not aware they have a Maingate & Maingate North both on S. Harbor. It's a little miss leading. Also the breakfast was a dissapointment. Not only do they ask not to take any food to your room the orange & apple juice […] were watered down. Mehr

I have stayed at the Ramada Main Gate for the NAMM Show every year for the last 5 years. It is always a good deal, I think. It is not fancy, it is not located within walking distance of very much, but overall, for the price, it is a very good motel. Nice free breakfast. Courteous desk clerks. A very nice budget motel. I thin the sheets and pillows […] were new this year too. The bath is fairly nice. Towels very good. Just not new and modern, but a nice motel... Mehr

This hotel and its entire staff have far exceeded our expectations! They are corteous, friendly and accomodating. When we checked in, they informed us of where everything is at the hotel. They are about a quarter mile from Disneyland which I believe was so convenient. We parked our car in the hotel parking lot (for free - unlike other hotels that charge […] $4 per day) and walked back and forth from Disney - saved us a lot of gas money. They served continental breakfast which includes cereal, toast and waffles. They had coffee, hot choco, tea and fruit juices. If you want neither, you can walk to Carrows Restaurant which was about 20 feet away (^_^) The beds, pillows and sheets were comfy and smelled fresh. Only thing, though, is I am 5 ft tall and the shower head was too low even for me. Mehr

For anyone that it looking for a place to stay near Disney, but some sort of transportation to get to the park, this hotel is fine. We will come back.

The hotel manager was a wealth of information. The room was clean and quiet and we could even see the fireworks from our room. This hotel is by no means fancy, but was well priced and an easy walk (or ART ride) to Disneyland. Carrows right next door made a cheap alternative to the unhealthy continental breakfast. Highly recommend it for families.

The hotel was not what i expected at all. I was told it was right by Disneyland but it was about 3 blocks away. Also, the rooms were not what i expected or as described. I have to say the best thing about the hotel was the desk attendant. He made our stay as comfortable as possible.

Staff was not informative at all, did not even tell us about the Shuttle tickets we needed, which we specifically asked them about. Cost us 5 times what it should have cost for Shuttle tickets. Also, sidewalks at the bottom and top of hotel staircase were extremely slippery as if there was a long time leakage/runoff problem and not clearly marked! We […] almost fell numerous times! Read previous reviews and almost didn't go there but was pleasently surprised at how nice the motel was and how nice the people working there were. They told us about the city shuttle service to Disneyland and where to get the tickets. It was a life saver!

not even close to disneyland about 3 miles away dont even think about walking to disneyland from this hotel.

We visited Disneyland for Christmas. And I spent lots of hours researching hotels in our price range. This place was pretty ok for the price. Floors are DIRTY!! But we just wore shoes. Food was decent at breakfast. Kids had waffles almost every day and that saved a few dollars. Beds are firm, and I was a little cold at night. But then again I am always […] cold. For what we needed - and that was a place to crash after spending all day at Disneyland - It worked. Our room was cleaned each day, nothing was messed with, and it worked. We did drive to Disney but that seemed to work better for us. I know that you could catch the shuttle a block or two down. THere is a resturant next door, and a Starbucks just down the street - so life wasn't so bad. If you go in with your eyes open and know that it's not a 5 star its a good place. Mehr

We've stayed here before but didn't expect it to be this bad. We had several roaches in our room, as well as in the room of other family members. The hotel staff were accomodating to move them to another room, but others still found those critters as well. Unfortunately, I would not stay here again, which is sad, because everything else about the hotel […] is great - the location, the staff, the breakfast, etc. You can still take a chance if you'd like - it may work out fine. This is our 2nd time at this hotel. The 1st time, it was great. Room smelled good and was clean. This time, the service at the front desk was awful and this is an understatement. No one answered the phone, not the person was friendly. What topped off the worse stay was not having hot water in the morning. The excuse was everyone was taking a shower […] at the same time. That was a "lame" excuse as this is a hotel...it needs to have the capacity to have hot water for everyone. The room I had didn't have a working phone and the lamps were not working as well. Although the room was okay and stillw as clean and smelled good, the hot water was not an excuse. If the hotel cannot accomodate such a large amount of guests. Think about it, Disneyland opens at 800 am. Everyone would shower around 600 am to 900 am to get to the park. The excuse I was given was unacceptable. Mehr

We spent three enjoyable nights at the Ramada while visiting Disneyland just before Christmas. This isn't the newest hotel, but it was clean, well maintained, and everyone we met was pleasant and helpful. The breakfast featured Belgian waffles, although there were plenty of other choices as well. There was a convenient shuttle bus to Disneyland which […] ran every 20 minutes. This is not a 'Fancy' hotel, but it has all the necessary services, and a reasonable price. it has my recommendation. Mehr

This hotel was dirty. The tables in the room were dirty and had sticky residue on them. The bathroom floor was never swept or mopped. It had dirt and dead cock roach bodies on the floor. The room floor was not vacuumed and also had dead cock roach bodies. The electronics were plugged into the wall with an extension cord that was wrapped in electrical […] tape. The room was gross and dirty. I would not recommend this hotel to anyone. Mehr

We were led to believe that the shuttle to Disneyland was complimentary and it was not. It was cheaper to just park there! The room was just okay and the complimentary breakfast was a bit lacking. The gentleman at the counter was very nice and accommodating but his english and ability to understand us was somewhat limited. Probably would not stay there […] again. Mehr

The hotel staff did not understand english, and we were unable to communicate our needs. The front desk staff just seemed to ignore our request. We found a roach in our room the morning that we were leaving, thank god for that. We had pumbing issues in the three rooms we rented. I was ratehr impressed by the Ramada Limited North. I had originally booked the Ramada Maingate at the Park because it is right across from Disneyland burt a glitch, which hotels.com did nothing about, stuck us with this Ramada location which turned out to be be perfect. It was away from all the noise and business of the surrounding area of Disneyland […] and the Carrows located right next to the hotel was really convenient, epscially after a long, wet day at the park. Our room was very clean and looks like it had been recently remodeled. The only down side, the outside walk-ways were very slippery because of the rain. Mehr

Great Service. Faucet in tub leaked, they tried to fix it but it began to leak again. Carpets were filthy - kids socks were black after walking on carpet before bed time! Other than that, it was okay. Breakfast was good.
