Super 8 Vancouver - Vancouver

Das Hotel ist nicht wie andere Super 8 Hotels, es ist weniger als Basic, die Bewertungen vorher haben es schon gesagt. Für eine Nacht ist es okay, aber nicht mehr. Ich würde es für mehrere Nächte nicht empfehlen.

Hotel in der Nähe des YVR-Airport gelegen, gute Anbindung an die öffentlichen Verkehrsmittel, kostenfreier Airport-Shuttle

Im Hotel war es ziemlich warm. Die Klimaanlage im Zimmer war sehr laut, also konnte ich mir aussuchen ob ich in einem heissen oder in einem lauten Zimmer schlafe. Das Frühstück war von der Auswahl her nicht überwältigend. Käse oder Wurst war in keiner Form vorhanden, der Kaffee war sehr dünn und das Geschirr musste man selbst wegräumen. Für eine Nacht […] ist das Hotel schon okay, vorallem auch durch den kostenlosen Flughafenshuttle. Das ist nach einem so langen Flug echt angenehm. Mehr

Besides the good connection to the Airport (free airport shuttle) it has an ideal bus connection to Vancouver city. It is not the Hilton but it is worth the money and the WiFi was for free.

Nice breakfast.Airport shuttle made location fine.Comfortable room but a little hot.

This hotel was comfortable and clean, and was close to the airport. Also right on bus routes and near the sky train which was great for getting around. My only complaint would be that the shower was constantly changing water temperature from scalding to freezing with no warning so that was a little frustrating. The only thing i can think of that may need improving is the beds. we have stayed here a few times and we feel like we roll into the middle of the bed.

HAD A HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE. WOULD NEVER GO BACK AND RECOMMEND OTHERS TO VISIT.

Given the primary reason for using this hotel was it's close location to my son and daughter-in-laws home, I was extremely pleased with the perks the hotel offered for a very fair price. The room offered a fridge, which is not always the case as well as a free continental breakfast and an attached restaurant for other meals, not to mention a free shuttle […] service to and from the airport. The beds were comfortable and clean and certainly roomy enough for our purpose. All members of the staff were extremely courteous and helpful. We will use this hotel again in the future. Mehr

Well it doesn't look like a Ton of Fun as you approach But the Hippo Bar and Grill. Has Really Good food there is a Beer wine store bowling. And there is an Excellent breakfast. with staff that help you with every thing Including the Waffle Maker. Just like Mom back home. Lots to do and Great Staff Cheers George

would stay there only for night on the way or back bit run down but they are working on it advantage is get to leave vehicle there no charge so as i said going for one night or back would be alright noisey

When first pulled up to the front doors I should have suspected this hotel experience wasn't go so well. The guy w/ several days growth of facial smoking that I passed standing outside the front entrance was the front desk clerk. Checking in went smooth, but when I got up to the room, the room was on the cool side and found the thermostat was broken […] and could not be used. Found on the dresser was a plug in heater fan! I guess this is what we had to heat the room with. Wall paper was also noted to have lots of bubbling in places. Security parking issue - We had to honk at the gate for several minutes going either in or out for the front desk clerk to hear us for him to open the gate. The next day the same front desk clerk (still unshaven) told us the gate was broken and we could not use it the secure parking lot. He was probably too lazy to press a button to open the gate. Oh, and the phone in the room didn't work. The free breakfast is the ok….toast, cereals, muffins, waffles, hard boiled eggs, juices, coffee……BUT THE ROOM WAS FREEZING……a large floor heater was used in the corner of the room. So we are not planning to come to this hotel again, unless they make a drastic improvement. You have been advised folks, there are other options are out the folks. Mehr

This is an older facility, with limited amenities but clean and economical.

One of the worst hotels I've stayed in. Absolutely freezing. No heat, paper thin blankets. They call it a airport hotel but it was a $20 taxi ride away. Spent 4 hours there. Couldn't wait to leave.

The hotel isn't the prettiest thing ever. It is attached to a liquor sore or bar, I couldn't tell I got in quite late. The rooms were clean, and functional, nothing fancy but did the job. The bed however was really hard. Luckily it was ok for me because I have a bad back and need a firm bed but for others they may find it uncomfortable. The hotel was not all bad for the money or location. We were in late and out early so it didn't matter much. The room needed some repair. Very unhappy with service from airport to hotel. We were promised compl. shuttle. We called approx. 3 times and let phone ring at least 12 times each time and no answer. Ended up spending our own dollars by taking […] a taxi. Every time I stay in a Super 8, I regret it. This was no exception. This hotel is not far from the airport. On the ground floor is a liquor store and a night club. There is free parking in a secure lot -- which is good because you may not want to leave your car out. My room was OK but freezing cold. I could not find any heat control. I pulled on the […] extra blanket and put my coat over me as well. Part of the building seemed to be under construction. Mehr

The Super 8 is close to the YVR airport. It is a budget hotel. I stayed at the Toronto Super 8 and it was great! But.. the one in Vancouver is no where the same. The rooms are basic.. clean, but nothing more. There was a slight odd smell in it. The "conference centre" is simply one desktop computer in the lobby. And printing is 50 cents a page! Parking […] is gated and you honk to get in/out. But sometimes it takes awhile before somebody opened the gate. Overall, it's a budget hotel for you if you just want to find a place to stay a night or so and you won't be spending much time at the hotel. Mehr

This hotel was a great stopover on the way to the airport. The breakfast was good and they offer a shuttle bus to and from the airport. Great!

The staff was friendly and helpful. The breakfast was ok. But I had VERY noisy neighbors on all sides. Even changing rooms didn't make a big difference. And there was an abundance of black hair scattered throughout the room, which grossed me out, I must admit. When I checked in, the hallway was full of cannabis smoke. (Maybe this is a plus for some […] travelers...) Despite the condition of the accomodation, the location was very convenient for me. And it was super cheap. If you plan a brief stay, it's good value. there is no good breakfast at all

After one heck of an adventure trying to get to the hotel by bus we finally made it after midnight. When we walked into our room it smelled like a wet dog! It was super damp which irritated my asthma and I kept waking up chesty! Thankfully I had my inhaler with me. The only good thing about this hotel is the "free" hotel shuttle. Great continental breakfast!

Hotel was clean and comfortable but the decor was alittle dated. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Cheap and nasty hotel. Extremely run down condition! Rooms were slightly better maintained then halways and communial areas. The breakfast was lousy at best. Its worth spending $10 extra dollars a night more for a better hotel!

It's a typical Super 8 that took over from a well worn chain hotel. Not a premium bed but comfortable & decent room for the price. My big disappointment is having to pay $20.00 to get to the airport in time for my flight. They do not provide 24hr shuttle. It begins at 6am. My flight to the US was at 7:40. Even arriving at 6:20 is certainly not in my […] comfort zone, having to go through US border inspection and the personal inspection, etc. There are two restaurants within walking distance: Greek and Chinese plus Subway. I would not try the hotel's food as the place was void of customers at dinner time. Mehr

The driver of pick up shuttle to airport is no good.

I literally spent 5 hours, I arrived at 12:30am (too late to use the free shuttle from the airport) and left at 5:45am (too early to have breakfast) and in between I heard the conversation happening in the room next door. They were a couple, not speaking loud at all but the door between our bedrooms did not do a good job... I was tired I eventually […] fell in sleep choosing the bed the most far away from the door. Our bathroom had a hair in the toilet so it obviously wasn't cleaned and there was hair in the corners of the bathtub....obviously it wasn't cleaned...

This location is only a short bus ride away from the Marine Dr Canada Line Train, which is fantastic for travelers going to/coming from the airport. Our experience was not the best and I will likely never stay at Super 8 again. We had dropped our bags off early in the morning (too early to check-in) as we were doing the touristy stuff. The woman on […] duty was friendly and very helpful as she locked our bags in a banquet room for storage. Upon returning that night to finally check-in and go to sleep, the male clerk on duty was less than friendly. We got our room key and headed up to our room. When we first opened the door, we saw toothbrushes & toothpaste by the sink and were upset that he gave us an uncleaned room. We walked further into the room to find other people's luggage and belongings in the room. We left and explained to the clerk that this room was occupied. He offered no apology and grumbled as he re-programmed our room key for another room. Our next room was clean (and unoccupied!). The rooms of this hotel require renovations and brand new mattresses as it is old, dingy and uncomfortable. I would not recommend this hotel for anyone... its dingy and the staff are not concerned at all with your belongings. It could have been worse... we could have walked into the room while renters were in there. Mehr

I was talked into this hotel by a Hotels.com operator and was assured that it was in Downtown Vancouver. It is not even close to Downtown Vancouver. The hotel was dirty, old, and all around gross. Final verdict, don't be talked into this hotel. The price was not worth the inconvenient location and disgustingly dirty acccommodations.

We chose to stay at this hotel because of the cruise parking option and for that reason it was a good choice. We had trouble with the odour in the room, however, which was somewhat nauseating. Otherwise, the accommodation was what one would expect for the cost.
