Volle Punktzahl. Einziger kleiner Abstrich ist die örtl. Umgebung. Alles in ereichbarer Nähe.

"Never Again!"
I'll never stay there again! Front Desk Staff went out of their way to be unhelpful and almost snide. Hotel is dingy and seems to need a thorough cleaning and some repairs. Neighborhood seems seedy.
"convenient downtown location"
This is not your luxury hotel, but it's reasonable and comfortable accommodation, right in the heart of Little Tokyo. Executive rooms on the higher floors are nicely decorated with a modest, contemporary Asian touch. My husband and I stay here whenever we have a concert to go to at the Walt Disney Hall. During the day we visit MOCA among other area […] attractions, all within a walking distance. As a Japanese native, I can say Sushi Gen near the Hotel can be counted as one of the best in LA. Mehr

"Charming hotel"
Last year I stayed at LA Athletic Club and was pleasantly surprised by the Miyako Hotel this time around. The rooms were clean, the beds very comfortable. The area was very interesting with the LA Times building, City Hall, Disney Concert Hall all close by.
"We loved this hotel!"
After reading mixed reviews on this hotel, gave it a shot as the sale on the King executive room was very tempting. The street it is located on is quieter than most. Japanese noodle and sushi restauraunts across the street (wonderful!) Quick and effiicient checkin. Coffee shop in lobby. Our room was clean, large and the bed was luxurious. We were in […] town for Grammy awards and stayed 2 nights.Staple Center is $15 dollar cab ride away. Room was very quiet and staff was sweet and helpful. We accidently left a bag in the elevator when we were hurrying to airport. They packed and shipped it to me. Will stay here again. Mehr
"Expectations-disappointing"
The Miyako is not what we would expect from a Japanese hotel. We have lived in Japan for over twenty years and have stayed in "bussiness-man" hotle that were very much more presentable! When we walked into the first is an image of "class" with the white marble floor but when you take a closer look at the furnishing it is so well run down. The furnishing […] in the room such as the the little table were worn with scratches. The wall where the AC filter was located was not well secured. The carpets were very worn and gives the appearance of "dirty." the curtains too had an appearance of also being dirty. We were so disappointed in the the Miyako. I would wonder if the Kyoto Grand just up the road from the Miyako would've been a better choice even if it meant paying a bit more. The location though to Little Tokyo is very much convenient. One thing though when you plan on staying in downtown LA district, be prepared to parking fee's in just every place you plan to stop. The Miyako does not have validated parking for free. You can buy a twenty four hour validation for a nominal fee. The staff though were outstanding from the front desk to the cleaning staff and the very helpful door person. Mehr

"Good hotel in Japantown 1 block from Metro line"
I think this is maybe one of the best places to stay in downtown - it'll definitely be on my shortlist if I return to LA. Check-in was good - they tried to check me in early but were pretty full, so they were very helpful taking the bags for a few hours and recommending local places to see in the meantime. The rooms are nice and clean, beds very comfortable […] (I slept well), the TV is huge and they have a safe big enough for a laptop. WLAN was supposedly not available on my floor but I still had no problem connecting. The coffee shop on the ground floor is OK, and the hotel bar on floor 2 is part karaoke bar (sit at the bar to avoid a seating charge!). The hotel is about 1 block from the Gold line or 4 to 5 from the Red line, which gets you to Hollywood in 20 minutes station to station. The local area has the Japanese American National Museum and the Geffen Contemporary amongst others. All in all, it was good value. Mehr

"Miyako in Little Tokyo"
Downtown location in a nice neighborhood. The hotel itself was old, location was great and self-parking was a little bit difficult. However if you opt for valet parking then this is very convenient. Valet service staff were courteous and very helpful. Desk staff were also great. For the price the hotel is a little bit on the expensive side.

"very nice hotel, good price"
Right in the middle of Little Tokyo area of LA, and extremely well priced. I haven't stayed here for awhile, and had forgotten how nice the rooms are, and the free WiFi....they even have room service now. Within 100 feet of the Tokyo Mall with great Japanese restaurants and bakeries. Perfect little spot.
"MIyako Hotel LA"
Very friendly vallet parking person and system. Ireally enjoyed staying Miyako after 30 years. when I came to the State for the 1st time I stayed so I tried this time. Room was just right and shower room was bigger than Hilton I stay the night before. I like the friendly atmospher of this hotel and emplyers and locations.
"Japantown Jewel"
This hotel is fine, physically, but the combination of the convenient location downtown and the very friendly staff mean that I will return on my two or three trips to LA per year. Most impressive was their policy of no charge for use of their business center, including printing and copying. Next time I will even try out the toilet seat that (ahem) […] eliminates the need for toilet paper. I guess it's a Japanese thing. Mehr
"Hotel Miyako - great location - nice hotel"
I found this hotel on Hotels.com searching based on the address of a customer meeting. Hotel is very conveniently located next to downtown. It is in the heart of Little Tokyo with great restaurants and bars within walking distance. Check out Edison for a cool place with great drinks. The staff is VERY friendly and the Valet team is awesome. The lobby […] is showing its age a little and they have no working power outlets in the small coffee bar / snack shop. Wireless overall is VERY slow and needs improvement. If you have a web based presentation to deliver on property - it is not a good experience. Rooms are very clean and there are LOTS of power outlets on the desk and throughout the room for those road warriors who have 4 devices to plug in. Spa on property, but I did not visit. I do plan to stay here again. Mehr
"excellence"
hotel excellence is always about attention to details. I really appreciated Miyako's attention to details, including the friendly and competent staff.

"Get a Gym!!!"
They tell me the new gym will be ready in August. They need that!
"Miyako Hotel Los Angeles"
Small but very nice. The staff was very friendly. Modern room, with nice features dvd in the room.
"Miyako"
If you want a calm, clean and reasonable hotel in central LA but not in the noisy hub, Miyako is the PLACE to stay.

"NIce Quiet, Clean Area"
I stayed at the Miyako on 1-31-12. The hotel staff is nice and professional. The room was nice with a very high tech toilet. The only drawbck is that the closet had no place to hang my clothes. There wer hooks on the wall with several wooden hangers. Major props to the valet crew, My car was always waiting for me when I called and they were very helpful […] with directions. This hotel is not as close to the Convention center and Staple Center and LA Live as stated on Hotels .com. give yourself extra time to navigate the downtown area if you have to be in those areas before 8:00 pm. Overall a very nice place and I would recommend the hotel highly. Mehr
"In the middle of Little Tokyo"
The lobby was under construction. The service of front desk staff are friendly, but marginal for a Japanese hotel. The room was clean and comfortable. The only problem I had was a noisy A/C fan and rattling noise coming from the A/C panel. I was trying to eliminate the noise by stuffing a towel between the panel, but it did not work. When I was doing […] this I noticed that the filters are very dirty. Not a healthy sign... The location is great if you want to visit Little Tokyo district. Mehr
"Rose Parade"
Stayed at Miyako due to proximity to the Gold line metro - great location to get to Rose Parade. Room comfortable, staff friendly.
"Well Located Quality Hotel"
My overall experience at this property was great, it was well located to the metro so I was able to get my meetings in downtown LA within 20 minutes and one stop away from union station with the LAX fly away bus. I didn't have to deal with renting a car or the LA traffic. The lobby was under construction but the service was great and the room was very […] comfortable. The area restaurants are fantastic, the top noodle bar in the city is across the street and one of LA's hottest new gastropubs was a 5 minute walk. Mehr
"Miyako--comfortable after a long flight!!"
We arrived in Miyako after a long haul flight. It was nicely furnished, didn't look outdated too much and the room was inviting. The bed was extremely comfortable which was great as my friend and I both crashed out suffering from jet lag. Good hotel for a reaonable price. We stayed here as we needed to be downtown for the start of a tour, so not really […] sure how great the location was. Great little asian restaurants on the same street. Mehr
"Some grit and some greatness"
Pros: Comfy and clean beds Spacious feeling shower and Aveda products Very friendly check in Jesus, the doorman. Thank you Jesus for this umbrella! Surrounding businesses: CAFE DULCE, curry house, Japanese grocery to buy bento supplies and oolong tea, that little place that sells those fresh red bean cakes (which I never liked until I tried theirs), […] fun clothing stores, and of course ramen. Plus walk and metro all over the place. Cons: Hotel hallways and rooms felt kinda dingy (wallpaper peeling in spots, smelled of smoke a bit, etc) TV reception funky and no ordering movies Mehr
"amazing."
you can get a pretty good deal here and the rooms are comfortable and well designed. the massage/spa floor is UHmazing and its in the heart of j-town. what more do you need?

Good location, in the center of Little Tokyo. Parking is a little tricky. The room was clean, simple, and comfortable.
"Centered"
Great location to reach all of the different districts.
My daughter and I stayed for 1 night as we had to be in LA for an exam for her. There was some construction going on in the lobby so it was pretty noisy, but the place was quite nice. The restaurant was a little pricy but the food was excellent. The bathroom could use some updating and the beds were ok (pillows too hard for my liking). It is within […] walking distance of many shops in Little Tokyo which would have been nice had we longer time to stay. Service was excellent. Overall a nice stay. Mehr

"The Miyako hotel in LA, sweet home Little Tokyo"
Close to downtown LA, freeways and rail station, but in the heart of Little Tokyo, Miyako has the best of both worlds: convenient and reasonable, but in an exciting ethnic commercial district. Across the street from the Japanese American national museum and great ramen, curry, sushi and teriyaki houses, this is America's largest Japan town. Good thing […] as the Miyako has a snack bar and restaurant, but their offering is limited by comparison. In the shadow of City Hall and the federal building, a good business choice as well. Modest renovation has made the rooms more comfortable (wide screen, fridge and a safe). Mehr
"Miyako-good location, expensive parking"
We stayed at the Miyako in order to attend a party in downtown LA. The little tokyo location is convenient and has just enough sushi and noodle house restaurants near by to make the neighborhood feel different from the surrounding city. Our room was quiet, with a really comfortable bed and it had a funky computerized toilet with a heated seat and bidet. […] Although the decor was asian, pretty much everything else is just standard (beat up hotel furniture etc). The hotel boasts a spa for men and women, which I did not use. It is probably the reason one would pick the Miyako over another hotel, but I'll never know. The rooms are pricey because of the location and I would advise the use of valet parking. The self-parking option is unbelievably expensive if you have to come and go. Valet has free in-and-out privileges. Mehr
"Convenience"
The staff at the Miyako Hotel where very helpful and kudos to the security guard who was on duty New Year's Eve. He was doing an excellent job keeping the hotel guests safe and the drunks redirected so that they don't bother other guests. This hotel was safe even at 3 a.m. in the morning and the staff were gracious throughout. It was close to the Disney […] Concert Hall and a few steps from the metro line. Very convenient. Mehr
"3 Stars on the Nose"
In the middle of China Town. It's kind of hard to find even with the GPS because there are so many signs it's hard to pick it out. This place got the job done but you could probably find another 3 star type hotel w more amanities. It was NYE weekend 2011 so I didn't have many choices for the price. This hotel was a dead nuts 3 star. Fairly clean, my […] room just felt odd, but I can't complain about anything specific accept parking neon a pain, but even that only cost $8 overnight. Mehr

"Large room, very comfortable"
The Miyako seems to be undergoing a renovation with new stone floors in the lobby. My room was large and very comfortable with a great work area and a very comfortable bed. The breakfast buffet was good with both American and Japanese choices, and the lobby coffee shop was open both late and early with a nice selection of offerings (including chicken […] noodle soup at 9pm when I arrived). I would deinitely stay here again. Mehr
"Short trip to LA"
Affordable, great neighborhood, close to downtown and not far from red line station. Great Japanese speaking staff and Japanese style service! In the middle of Little Tokio, definitely recommended.
"Convenient location in LA's Little Tokyo"
I like the location because you can walk to all areas in little Tokyo. The Karaoke Bar is always a great place to spend a few hours listening to both English and Japanese singers. Staff is very polite and efficient. The only inconvenience is the parking (you have to park in adjacent lot and carry luggage a short distance), unless you are willing to […] pay for valet parking. Overall, a bargain in this crowded area. Mehr
