Unser Aufenthalt im Microtel war entspannt und geprägt durch den sehr positiven Eindruck den das Hotel bei uns hinterließ. Die Zimmer waren sauber, der Aussenpoolbereich war sehr gut und in der Lobby gab es zwei Internet PC´s für die Gäste. Das Frühstück war okay und so können wir die Location jedem empfehlen.
Lage
Days Inn Corpus Christi Beach liegt in Corpus Christi in der Nähe von USS Lexington Museum on the Bay, Texas State Aquarium und Art Museum of South Texas. Nicht weit entfernt befinden sich: Corpus Christi Museum of Science and History und American Bank Center.
Ausstattung

The hotel is very run down, but so is the whole neighborhood. The staff was very friendly. I think the prices are a little high for what you get, and the pictures on the website are misleading.

the room was exactly as pictured & described. The hotel clerk didn't seem happy to be at work. It's a decent place to lay your head at night.

This is nothing more than a MOTEL!! The rooms smell like smoke. The pictures are false, it looks nothing like that in person. The carpet is dirty. The towels looked as if they had not been washed. "Fine"
Hotel was ok. It is really close to the beach. There isn't much around except other hotes.

Overall i guess you get what you pay for. The first room we were put in had roaches all over the bed. They immediatly moved us into another room that didnt have bugs but did have mold on the walls. Definatly would not be my choice hotel stay next time around.
Hotel was in need of repair, bathroom was not clean and had a leak. As for service we had to ask for extra linens and Toilet paper. Continental breakfast was very limited.
"Days inn c c beach"
Water from a / c unit leaked whole time we were there . Told them about it note one never got fixed . Went to stick something between the matress and found a crack pipe ! By 830 am there was no breakfast on two mornings . It is handy to everything nearby but get ready to ask for a new key each time you want in .
"Can't believe this is a Days Inn"
The staff was friendly but the hotel itself is in dire need of a complete remodel. Huge gap under the front door, the bathroom had missing tiles in and around the tub but that was ok because they found a sale on caulk and just filled in every gap with caulk. There are no real stores around besides a gas station, What a Burger, and a few restaurants. […] The beach there too was not good for swimming with tons of seashells and rocks not to mention the stinging jellyfish all over. The stay was ok but I would not recommend this place to friends or family. Mehr

the room was great but the bed felt like i was sleeping on a box spring..... They could at least buy some new mattresses for the rooms!!!!!!!
"close to the coast"
we had no trouble with the booking and were able to check-in right on time. the hotel was an older hotel but they did have a few updates. the beds were a little hard and the room was a little small. the employees were very welcoming and helpful. it was not five star hotel but it was great for what my family and i needed. we could walk to the shore line […] from the hotel. it was literally only a block away. it is outside of the traffic of the heart of city and only 5 mins from the aquarium and uss lexington. we actually walked back to the hotel after a day in the city. ( we rode the trolly/bus to the city). there was a lot to do and we had a great time. the hotel was perfect for what we needed. we did not spend a lot of time there because we were on vacation lol! we slept and bathed there. "Smelly and uncomfortable"
The hotel lobby reaked of some unknown cooked food, the beds were uncomfortable and worn out and the bedspread was torn. Towels were threadbare and too few.

Great place for the price. Beach and attractions within walking distance. Planning a return visit soon.

We will be staying in Port Aransas next time we visit corpus christi. This is an older beach area of corpus christi. The hotel is in need of major work the maintenance is POOR. We had 2 rooms one for our family of 5 and one for my in-laws. One had a microwave 315 and one didn't 319. Neither Safe worked, the one in our room was rusted shut, and the […] one in the other room he tried to fix but it didn't work either, he said we could lock the safe but wouldn't be able to get it open. The door on my in-laws suite didn't work so he gave us a master key to get into our rooms. The electrical in our room one plug would work and the other in the same outlet wouldn't. My in-law's suite was never cleaned because the door didn't work. This was walking distance from the beach, and it was a nice beach except there were tons of jelly fish and we couldn't even get in the water. The neighbors complained their ac didn't work, and door didn't work. And the staff of the hotel complained that electronics have a difficult time because of the salt air. It just seemed they needed to put some major money in the place. We asked for a spare blanket for our son to sleep with, and were told all they had was an extra bed spread. This was close to the USS Lexington, and the aquarium, and also to the Corpus Christi Hooks minor league team. Also they Blackbeard's and Peir 99 were good restaurants. The lobby smelled of Indian food, and my mother in law saw a bug in the breakfast area, so she wouldn't eat their. Breakfast was Texas shaped pancakes and cereal bread and fruit. This is not a place I will stay again. Also the catholic church that is close was nice small and friendly. Mehr

Location is good, walking distance to beach. Reserved a smoking room, no ash trayes, no remote for t.v., safe in room was rusted and would not work, stopper in sink would not let water drain from sink, could see light between the door and frame, and the pool had algae in it even though the chlorine level was so strong that it burnt your eyes even if […] you did not go under the water. "Hotel was run down and in need of basic upkeep."
our room was Ok and the location was where i wanted it, right on the beach. the bathroom fan fixture was coming out of the ceiling, the thin fiberglass tub bounced when you stood in it and my wife only weighs 100 pounds. A lot of deferred maintenance in the building in general. the hotels in that area looked similar. also they rushed you to finished […] your breakfast. I guess next time I would pay about 50% more to stay in a better hotel. Mehr
"its cheap for a reason"
internet sucks never worked right.. first room was horrible ac leak all over floor bed had blood stains on it just down right nasty.. 2nd room was ok still not nice i would have used my money else were for sure.. the only plus it was right by the beach but thats it its not anywhere near town... i would look around before i choose this one people!!

"Hotel on the beach"
The hotel has a great location and the staff was more than appeasing in their efforts to make us comfortable. However, the sheets on the bed were dirty and had to have clean ones sent up. The overall appearance was sufficient and was comfortable once the room was cleaned. The card keys and locks on the door had more than one issue, perhaps caused by […] the humidity. "what a piece of work!"
Worst days inn I have ever stayed. Keys to the room never worked I had to get the hotel attendant to rekey it with the electronic device and still didn't work. The couple stayin next to us their room wouldn't lock. Then they move us to a smoking room which I don't smoke my wife is pregnant and I have two young children. The phone never worked so when […] we needed a iron or something here we go down the stairs again. NEVER EVER stay at this hotel. Plus the free breakfast is just cereal and milk! Wow great extras! The hotel is at a great location within walking distance to the beach. The only problem we had was the shower didn't work. This made it real hard to cleanup after going to the beach.
"Welcome to the middle of nowhere"
I booked this room because the location was directly on the beach and it had decent reviews with decent rates. I wasn't expecting a 5 star hotel. With that being said, like my title states....it's in the middle of nowhere! Do yourself a favor and stay in Padre Island, Port Aransas, etc....You will be much happier. Corpus Christi in North Beach is DEAD […] and MILES from anything, even someplace to just eat. I locked my personal items in the room safe and then I couln't get back into the safe after it malfunctioned! After 3 days they finally got into the safe by drilling into it! 3 days! and it was the night before flying out! Some creepy guy from a surrounding apartment was stalking my wife and her friend at the beach before following them to the hotel pool. Lots of creeps and wierdos in the area. "Days Inn vs. Hotel.com"
What is the point of making reservations through hotels.com and Days Inn are not going to read the notes. I had a total of 17 people and reserve 7 rooms and I requested an early checkin because it is a 3 hour drive from Houston to Corpus Christi. We arrived at 1:30 p.m., the rooms were not ready until after 3 p.m. Second, none of the telephones were […] working in each room. Third, Days Inn wanted us to check out at 11 a.m. on the dot, but Days Inn did not fulfilled their end of the bargain. I talked to the hotel manager and she claimed that she could not accomadate us by letting us check out by 12 pm because she would charge us. Get this, Days Inn called me after I complained and offer me a free 1 night stay! I told Days Inn they could keep their free 1 night stay and I wanted them to accomodate my group with an extended checkout at 12 p.m. Well, the manager could only do 1 room with an extended checkout at 12 pm but the other 6 rooms had to be checkout at 11 a.m. Would never stay at this location every again! "basic but clean"
The hotel gave me exactly what I wanted: a clean room in a good location at a decent price. I was within walking distance of the Lexington and State Aquarium. The hotel was less than a five-minute drive to downtown and major highways. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful.
"Good service but in need of interior renovation"
Lobby area and hotel exteriors were nice and clean. Staff was nice and friendly also. However, the room didn't feel clean. It was damp and smelly. We did not leave the place refreshed. Breakfast items also looked old.
This place was horrible and the people at desk were rude. Was supposed to get ocean view but got a street view and they refused to change. The pool and hot tub were nasty. The room needed to be cleaned better. Dont use this place.

"I'd do it again for the location and price"
Good basic place for the price. No fears materialized such as no parking or wet rugs. Breakfast was better than expected as it included waffles (make your own) and bagels. Walk to Lexington was one-mile exactly. Beach was small but acceptable. The water had some jellyfish that turned the kids off. No food in the immediate area, but downtown was just […] a short drive. I've stayed at this hotel before, i like the location by the bay. The surrounding area is good and texas state aquarium is down the road from hotel, and the lexington. For the moderate price i paid, i got the convenience of great arractions of the corpus christi bay and great restaurants. The money i saved from staying at this hotel i actually spent […] at the local beach gift shops down the road. It was confortable... Mehr

At first we were worried about how it felt hard to get to the hotel but once we realized it was us the hotel is close to the beach and taking 3 little ones down to the beach and being able to walk was great. Easy access to get to the ferries to take the kids across was great and close to the aquarium. I was happy.

Don't be discouraged when you drive into the neighborhood of this hotel. It is nothing fancy, but you are a bridge away from downtown and a block from the beach. It was very convenient to our needs. We stayed four days paying about $100 less than what we would have staying in a hotel downtown considering it was a holiday weekend. There were quite a […] few restaurants within a very close driving range, you could probably walk if you wanted to! The front desk was very helpful and housekeeping the same as any hotel keeping the room clean and providing fresh towels. I'm considering returning later in the summer and possibly next summer.
