Sehr sauber, nicht laut obwohl zentrale Lage, jederzeit zu empfehlen.

Das Silken Ramblas liegt in einer ruhigen Seitenstrasse, nur ein paar Meter von der Rambla entfernt; super Lage. Personal hilfsbereit und freundlich. Viele Verpflegungsmöglichkeiten in der Nähe. Obwohl zentral, war es wunderbar ruhig. Einziger Nachteil: Die Wände sind sehr ringhörig.

Wir waren zum zweiten Mal im Hotel Silken. Das Hotel liegt sehr zentral und ist vom Placa Catalunga in 5 Min. erreichbar. Ein grosser Nachteil liegt allerdings darin, dass es sehr "lärmig" war. Die ganze Nacht hindurch hörte man Autos, Leute lachen und plaudern etc. und dies auch bei geschlossenen Fenstern. Ohropax sind daher zu empfehlen!!!

Das Hotel liegt nur 100m von den Ramblas entfernt. In der unmittelbaren Umgebung gibt es tolle Cafes, Restaurants und Bars. Lage, Komfort, Sauberkeit des Hotels sind 1A. Zimmer aber ein bisschen ringhörig. Der Pool auf dem Dach wohl eher für Kinder, d.h. ziemlich klein.

Das Hotel liegt an perfekter Lage. 100m von der Ramblas. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und die Zimmer waren sauberund relativ modern. Auch das Frühstückservice war perfekt. Es gibt für € 5.50 Kaffe und Croissant oder für €12.50 von allem etwas (bedient!) oder für €18 so viel du magst vom Büffet. Einziger Nachteil. Die Abwasserleitung hat stark "gerauscht" […] wenn der Bewohner im Stockwerk über uns geduscht oder die Toilette benutzt hat. Lösung: Toilettentür zu und es ließ sich gut schlafen. You can't fault this hotel for its location, which is frankly brilliant. Decor is nice too and I found both my room and specifically my bed very comfortable. My travelling companions complained bitterly about the noise in the rooms, mainly as the walls are "paper" thin. Personally if you've come to Barcelona you shouldn't be going to be bed before […] 2am anyway, but if you want an early night this hotel might not be the place for you. Otherwise I recommend it, but make sure you don't get a room by the lifts. Adios! Mehr

Great location, decent hotel and a staff that was a little on the grumpy side. Not very helpful at all. The buffet breakfast was way overpriced and there are better alternatives for eating very nearby. That said, I would stay there again for the price and the location.

Excellent hotel, very poor breakfast service and quality.

This hotel is in a convenient location in Barcelona and the condition is better than acceptable.

Everything was excellent. Clean room, good bed, helpful staff. The location is just steps from where you want to be. Excellent restaurant next door, steps to Las Ramblas, quiet side street.

Upon walking into our room, the first thing we say was the stained and disgusting carpet. It was filthy. That was the first problem. The other problem we had was with the noise in the hallway. Great location to walk Rambla, take the metro or bus. Nice restaurants in area but over priced. Only negative to Hotel (not their falut) was constant loud street noise (loud talking, traffic) 24 hours a day everyday. Noise could be turned down by closing the balcony door, but weather was great making it hard to close the door.

A great value. The staff was courteous and helpful. Room was clean and well appointed.Location was convenient.

We were extremely pleased to be in this wonderful hotel...near to La Rambla & all its activity...great room & comfortable roof top pool...staff was very helpful with all our requests... would try to reserve a non-street facing room next time...the fantastic parade outside our room (celebrating Barcelona festival) fun to watch but loud when we wanted […] to sleep(bring earplugs!) hotel lobby is stunning! certainly lives up to its 4 stars rating...fantastic deal! The location of this hotel was perfect for touring Barcelona. It was within close proximity to one of the "hop on hop off" bus stops and nearby restaurants. The hotel itself was very comfortable. My only complaint would be the lighting in the room. It made it very difficult to apply my makeup evenly. Also, I wish that there would've been an iron and […] ironing board available in the room. I recommend this hotel with the following explanation. I rate the staff, lobby, cleanliness and sundeck very highly- "European" 4 star. Great location without any street noise. However my "discounted" 1st floor double room was only a 3 star. Although the bathroom was clean & new, the shower was a disaster. Designed incorrectly with a small half door, […] the bathroom floor flooded with every shower regardless of whether you hand held the shower head or not. We didnt appreciate having to mop the floor every day. Also our 1st floor room's toilet must have been on the same plumbing line as the public toilets in the lobby. Every time the lobby toilet flushed, we heard it in our room - at any hour of the day or night. I would recommend checking in, leaving your bags at the front desk, checking out the room & bath and if not ok, immediately ask for an upgrade. Mehr

The Silken Ramblas is located in a gret location that is easy to get to from the airport and just 2 blocks from the Ramblas. We found the hotel staff to be very accomodating, the rooms were clean and modern. The pool on the top has great views and is perfect for cooling down after a day of sight seeing. To get to the hotel from the airport take the […] Aerobus (5,30 euros you pay on the bus, follow the rent a car signs to their location outside the terminal). Get off at the last stop Plaza Catalunya. Walk down the Ramblas about 3 or four blocks to Pintor Fortuny on the right. The small plaza between the hotel and the Ramblas has several good tapa bars. We really enjoyed Lobo Cafe. The only real negative about the hotel is that the rooms are not very sound proof. We could hear the toilet flush from rooms above and some noise from adjoining rooms. Excellent location. Friendly staff however walls paper thin. Was kept Awake by someone snoring in next room. Asked for wake up call on day of departure but didnt receive it. Rooms very dark and in need of serious updating. Would not rate tihis hotel a 4* but 3*.

The Hotel Silken Ramblas is a great location for all must-see sights. Every one working at the hotel is extra kind and satisfied all our needs.

I would highly recommend the Hotel Silken Ramblas. It is perfectly located close enough to the Ramblas for maximum fun but just far enough away that you are able to escape the noise and bustle of the crowds. The staff spoke excellent English and they couldn't have been more helpful.

This hotel is in a very good location - for getting to the airport, to the port for cruises and the Ramblas. We really enjoyed the hospitality of the staff and they took really good care of us - but, which is not their fault is the partying from the Ramblas, it went on until morning which really hampered our sleep for our excursions the next day. One […] must know that they are located right off the Ramblas which is a BLAST :) But, all in all, we will definitely stay there again. It is so clean and modern. We also stayed one night at their Gran Via Silken Havana, WOW, that was an amazingly wonderful night. We love the Silken staff and hotels - Silken should be 5 stars. Peter & Sandra Mehr

Hotel staff was excellent and very cooperative. Room was large and very comfortable.

The hotel was fine. At first we ordered the basic rooms but after check-in we realized that they upgrade us to Primium Room. The hotel's location is amazing, sits in a boulevard inside the Rambla st. We couldn't ask for a better location, just 5 min walk from the Metro which takes you everywere. The hotel's staff was nice and welcoming, whenever we […] had problome - they solved it. The only "bad" thing was that we recived 2 bed instead of large one, but that was because we recived the Primium room. We didn't take brakefast because we heared it is unnecessary to do so at Barcelona's hotels, actually I don't know how much this is true because it is very hard to find a good breakfast resturant over there. This hotel was in the perfect location.It was clean and comfortable and the staff were very helpful and friendly. We arrived early for check in but they allowed us to check in early. If I was pushed to complain it would be that the walls in the bedrooms are paper thin,we could hear everything going on in the rooms around and above us.

My entire stay the wifi was a nightmare. I had to go to other hotels in order to get my work done.

Excellent locartion. 1/2 block off Ramblas, 1 block from Ramblas Opera house, 2 blocks from City Center. Tapas bar across narrow Spanish street and grocerires and Best outdoor market we've seen less than 5 minutes walking. Hotel condition is in need of minor repairs (nicks in doors kind of things) but v clean and hospitable. Location is the best! The Silken Ramblas Hotel was chosen mainly for its very convenient location and that could not have been better.

Beautiful hotel with friendly helpful staff, i think i ordered a double bed but we got 2 single beds put together but it was ok, the staff were very nice and helpful, we might of got our rooms changed if we asked but we didnt bother great location, 1 min to ramblas

Good location, close to Ramblas. Clean but small rooms. The rooms are very noisy. If you like to hear your neighbours making love or using the bathroom, that is the place to go. If you dont't like that, go elsewhere.

Location, Location, Location....this hotel is absolutely a perfect base to see this wonderful city.

Great location. Only one block to La Ramblas. Close walk to get a tour bus or go to old town or catch a Flamenco show. Many restaurants and shops near by and close to metro station. Hotel staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was nice and beds very comfortable but could have been more updated. Needed a few repairs but they were taken care of quickly. […] I think price we paid was a little high. Mehr

The hotel staff was helpful and attentive. Location is very convenient to downtown/Ramblas area. The restaurant fare was somewhat bland and had few menu items, but many other options are nearby.

Hotel services above expectations. My husband had an allergic reaction to a medication and they were extremely helpful. They called an English speaking doctor for us and kept checking to let us know when he would arrive. The problem was solved in short order and they were truly concerned with how he was feeling later in the day. Great location too!

this is a great hotel. If anyone travels to europe you would know that transportation to and from the airport can be very costly. Airport has a shuttle bus to catalunya which is TEN minutes walk to the hotel. Most convenient I've seen in Europe. WIll stay again and recommend to anyone going to Barcelona.

COMPLEX ACCESESS, POOR SIGNAL IN THE ROOM, EXTREMELY SLOW CONNECTION. BECAUS OF THAT SKYPE AND MAIC JACK DID NOT WORK COULD HEAR CONVERSATION AND MOANING AND CRING IN THEROOM NEXT DOOR

Just off the top of the Ramblas, near the main square for tourist busses and right next to the Bari Gotique. Didn't eat at hotel as so many places near by but staff great and room fine (needs a bit of refurb soon). Pool on roof excellent for a couple of hours chill before the evening festivities. Hotel was somewhat dated, and disappointing. Tired looking rooms with poor air conditioning. Staff were friendly enough however.
