Die Lage des Hotels ist für Surfer ideal. Auf für den Restaurantbesuch oder das Shopping nicht schlecht. Der Ausblick finde ich fabelhaft. Cooler Einstieg auf Hawaii!

Der Aufenthalt war angenehm. Sehr zentral gelegen und weiter zu empfehlen.

Es lieg direkt am Waikiki Beach und ist sehr lebhaft. Es befindet sich eine tolle Bar auf der Terasse wo den ganzen Tag Live Bands spielen. Für Ruhesuchende ist das Hotel aber nicht geeignet, da es bis Spät in die Nacht sehr laut ist. Die Zimmer sind sehr schön ausgestattet.

Auf Hawaii verbrachten wir hier sowohl den ersten, als auch die beiden letzten Tage. Das Hotel liegt direkt am Waikiki Beach. Entlang der Kalakaua Ave. findet man unzählige Geschäfte und Restaurants. Zum Flughafen braucht man ca. 20 Minuten (Auto) Das Hotel hat ca. 30 Etagen und ist nicht mehr ganz neu, aber in gepflegtem Zustand. Der Check-In verlief […] schnell und freundlich. Unterhalb der Lobby ist ein Shop sowie eine waiting area für das Valet Parking, selbst parken ist nicht möglich. Gegenüber der Lobby liegt der Poolbereich, recht klein und nicht wirklich gemütlich, aber sauber. Wir hatten Zimmer im 16. Stock und im 7. Stock. Sie waren identisch, bis auf die Betten (2 Queen Beds bzw. ein Kingsize Bed) und sind gemütlich eingerichtet. Im 2. Zimmer waren die Stühle ziemlich abgenutzt und fleckig, die restlichen Möbel waren ok. Auf dem Balkon gibt es ebenfalls einen älteren Stuhl mit Hocker. Die Betten waren bequem, reichlich Kopfkissen, eine gute Bettdecke, aber leider nur 1 Nachttisch pro Bett. Die Klimaanlage ist leise und funktioniert gut. Das Bad war gut gereinigt, sehr gut beleuchtet und bot ausreichend Ablageflächen und Handtücher. Die tägliche Zimmerreinigung war sehr gründlich. Der Ausblick ist in den oberen Etagen besser, weiter unten versperrt das Parkhaus die Sicht leider ziemlich. Der Lärmpegel oben ist ok, weiter unten hört man Pool, Straße und Parkhaus. Mehr

Der Pool ist etwas klein und das reichhaltige Frühstück muss im Freien auf den Liegestühlen oder im Zimmer/Strand eingenommen werden. ( In jedem Zimmer befindet sich ein leerer Lunch-Bag )

Auf die Taxibestellung am frühen Morgen kann man sich nicht verlassen, stattdessen wird man spät abends angerufen und gefragt, ob man zum Flughafen möchte, dabei wurde das Ziel bei der Bestellung angegeben. Gegen sechs Uhr in der Früh werden Reparaturen an der Tür durchgeführt, welche einen natürlich wecken---gut, denn Frühstück kann man nur bis 8:30 […] Uhr bekommen. In der Nacht pfeift der Wind sehr laut durch dir undichte Balkontür. Duschen ist mit Sonnenbrand nicht zu empfehlen, da der Duschkopf nur eine Hochdruckreinigungsoption mit wenig Wasser besitzt. Insgesamt war ich sehr enttäuscht, das weitaus günstigere Hotel der ersten Woche (geschäftlich) war deutlich besser! Mehr

The beds were comfortable but I have stayed in hostels with better breakfast. Although it's not a 5 star hotel I don't think simple tea and coffee facilities would of been too much to ask for. There's no room service either. When I asked for a kettle they sent me one that was broken. The pool had floating rubbish in there too. This hotel is a great location with views over the surf beach and is right on the main strip of shops, galleries and places to eat

the hotel we were going to stay at was sold out.. My daughter recommended this hotel.. Very satified.

Overall, it was a nice hotel. Very close to great shopping and the beach. I would suggest updating the pool area especially since we had our breakfast by the pool and would have enjoyed a heated pool. Also, would have liked to had different breakfast options every morning. The Hotel was very nice, reasonably priced and everyone that we dealt with was very friendly and accomodating. One drawback was having to pay for internet usage. We do not find this anywhere else that we stay for business or pleasure.

Thought the entrance to the hotel was confusing and little direction from hotel staff on arrival. Room was clean and very quiet. Nice ocean view and very little noise. Had a problem with the mini-fridge, but hotel staff fixed quickly and comped for damaged food. The Aston Waikiki Beach Hotel is located right across the street from the beach with great views of the ocean. Complimentary breakfast was nice and convenient as well as Tikis onsite. The rooms are small so if you have more than 2 people I would suggest getting a larger room. In addition, the rooms are nicely appointed and included a refrigerator to […] use. The hotel was alright but a very noisy area. There is loud music every morning, the breakfast is a "zoo" and no place to go for peace and quiet. Pool water is colder than the ocean. The salt water lagoon was being dredged, loud machines and an ugly barge right in view from hotel.

Room was extremely small. We had requested king bed. Room had 2 doubles. Were told no more kings. First room was near elevator. AC did not work. We were moved to one floor below this room. Hair dryer did not work. DVD player did not work. Overall was not satisfied. Would not stay here again.

I enjoyed our time there. Going to a wedding, and there before hand. Happy with the breakfast

It is overall goog. However, the noise from the grill and bar was so loud even at 24:00!

This hotel is great for the price. Across the street from Waikiki beach so good location. They provide amenities such as beach chairs, towels etc. Breakfast was included which was "grab and go." This was great as we have two small kids. The restaraunt inside the hotel is called Tiki's. It looks nice and has a great view, but was the worst food we have […] ever had. We ordered two meals and two kids meals. The food was so bad, no one at more than about a quarter of their dish. We went downstairs and got ice cream. Mehr

I booked a trip for my boyfriend and I and decided to stay at the Aston Waikiki Beach Hotel because the price seemed good for my budget and it looked just as nice as other hotels. I wasn't disappointed too much, but I def wanted to share the following as I will not be staying here again and wouldn't recommend this hotel. 1. There is a free breakfast […] daily which wasn't bad (basic muffins, small bagels, some fruit salad, etc.) but if you have a room anywhere near/facing the pool, you will be awake when it starts! Our room was on the 6th floor (partial ocean view) and the music and noise woke us everyday starting at 6 am. I could also hear people in the rooms next to us very clearly. 2. The elevators broke (all of them) during one day of our stay. Luckily we weren't too high, but it was very inconvenient and crowded in the stairwell. (I saw a family carrying a stroller down 5 flights!) 3. When I checked in I was told I had to pay a 10 dollar a day amenity fee (which was a surprise to me) but I was told it would provide me internet, free movies etc. Over the next 3 days nothing worked and I didn't receive any of the "perks" so I went to the front desk to make sure I wasn't charged. I was told I wasn't charged this fee even tho when checking in this was a ten min conversation... Just annoying and I'll be checking my credit card statement to make sure I wasn't sure (which my bet is I was). The staff just wasn't very friendly/accommodating when it came to questions and clarification. 4. The hotel looks like it hasn't been renovated or redone in awhile. Although the room was fine and comfortable enough, it didn't have that nice and clean feel. More motel than hotel. The sink and bathtub drained slowly so by the end of your shower you were shin deep in water. As I mentioned before, you could also hear other guests and lots of outside noise. 5. Great location and views from the balcony. Breakfast a mad house, would have been nice to have some toast, not just pastires and doughnuts. Not very impressed with senior front deask staff, following an issue with one of their staff entering our room at 22.15 whilst we were in bed. Fortunately we had the bar across. Location is beautiful, right across the street from the beach. It is very noisy, crowded and the bathroom was old and had soap residue in the shower caddy. Breakfast was not very good, covered in the room cost but a waffle cost an extra $3. Parking garage put a dent in my rental car. Overall, not so great experience.

Given the location, one can expect the price tag to match accordingly. However actual facility conditions are poor. Peeling paint on the walls of rooms, and the pool deck. Limp pillows that can give neck aches (A $5 pillow from WalMart will do you better for a short stay). The linens on the bed were torn, and the carpet was dirty. Having breakfast at this hotel made the difference in choosing over others. Staff was helpful in all aspects. Many things of convenience especially the closeness to beach.

The rooms are pretty small but many of them have great views (we had a partial ocean view room). It had all the basic amenities. Didn't spend a whole lot of time in the room so it met our needs. The bathroom was a little outdate and the shower head needed to be replaced. Towards the end of our stay they began construction on the room adjacent to ours. […] They removed all of furniture and put it in the hallway. A little inconvenient but we didn't mind too much. The worst part was that they began working at 6am. Woke us up by banging around and running loud equipment. Would have requested a new room (or a discount at least) had it not been our last day. Was very rude to have workers banging around, talking loudly right next door to us. Overall a pretty nice hotel. I would stay there again. Convenient location. Many tour buses pick you up from this hotel so you don't have to worry about walking a long distance to catch a ride. Valet parking is pretty expensive, and no public parking was available. Staff was extremely friendly. Was always greeted with a warm "Aloha" every morning. Breakfast is nice. Same food every morning, but a $$ saver. Tiki bar and grill is nice. Great live music. Great location, small rooms; adequate for the price. I had an ocean-view room, which gave me a great view of the Waikiki shoreline. The only drawbacks were the daily parking charge, which was quite high for the area, and the morning continental breakfast, which made a feeding frenzy at the zoo seem civilized in comparison. Quite pricey for an old hotel but location is what you're paying for. Stayed in an ocean facing room so the view was magic (besides the noise from the earth moving equioment building up the new stretch of beach). Breakfast is a joke and not worth wading through all the other hotel guests to get a piece of the action. So many guests/rooms in the hotel […] so make sure you plan ahead timewise when waiting for an elevator to get down to the foyer. 5 elevators and loads of guests scrambling to get breakfast in the morning is not good if you have a shuttle to catch. Clean, family friendly hotel. Beds were comfy and the elevators are awesome! Very efficient with the card system. The free breakfast was truly a time and money saver and it includes healthy selections like fresh cut fruit (pineapples, oranges, watermelon, papaya etc) and yogurts and cereals on top of the regular pastries and muffins etc. Pool was heated […] and cleaned daily, free wifi on pool deck. We rented a car and were always able to park for free on designated spots on the side streets and along the canal (read the signs!) Starbucks (with free wifi) is on the same block, Wolfgang Pucks has decent food at decent prices and a McDonald's is a few blocks away. Will stay again. Mehr

The location is perfect near the beach and the Moana park. The breakfast is challenging since the clients are supposed to pick up some food at the reception and eat on the beach or in the room

Great location... Just didn't feel the value matched the price tag. It seems to have had a renovation in recent years, but was done poorly. I specialize in hotel standards and renovation and I feel this place needs some work. This property seems to emphasize security which was comforting. The staff was great and they were very friendly. We just got back from our 12 night stay at the Aston Waikiki Beach Hotel (February 12-23, 2012).  This was our 3rd time staying at this same hotel in the last 4.5 years. We LOVE this place!   If you are looking for a place with a fabulous location and view, at an affordable price, and don't mind giving up some luxuries, this is the place for you. Note, […] we are a middle class, mid 30's couple, with no kids, from the coldest part of Canada.   We also travel on a budget.   We are just so happy to be somewhere so beautiful and warm (Hawaii), that we gladly compromised a fancy hotel, for a great location and view, at a good price! This hotel is not fancy, it needs a makeover, and the rooms are your basic hotel/motel size.   But who comes to Hawaii to spend endless time in their rooms?   It's clean, the staff is very friendly, and it's so close to the ocean, literally across the street! If you book any room with "ocean" in it, the view is amazing!   We have stayed in the "ocean front", "ocean view" and "partial ocean view" rooms, and all 3 had breathtaking views of the ocean. I'm not sure what the view is like if your room is more inland/away from pool, but I would assume its wonderful too. The pool area is not huge, but I still went there happily each day. You can look over the balcony and see the ocean. They offer free towels (you do return them after use) and Tiki's Bar is right there if you want a drink or snack by the pool. Plus, you get free wifi by the pool! The hotel is located close to the zoo (towards the end of the Waikiki main strip) so its quieter and has less street/walking traffic.  It's still busy, but not as busy as the middle of the strip. Wolfgang Pucks, Subway, Starbucks, and several other great affordable places to eat/snack are all right by the hotel. They also offer a free breakfast! This hotel is worth the value. After staying in another " 4 Star hotel", the Aston provided a larger room with an ocean view, a excellent valet service for reasonable price, close to all amenities, a coupon book & guide, friendly & helpful staff and a free breakfast included. We intend on recommending that our travel agent recomment this hotel to her […] future clients. We found this one alone and were a bit nervous about what to expect ... the Aston totally exceeded our expectations. A wonderful place to stay! Mehr

This is very good hotel with a good location, however the hotel staff I found to be unfreindly. This was particularly noticeable with the check-in staff who seemed much more occupied with rich American and Japanese guests that one person who's coming in for one night.

We got a really reasonable rate, ocean front and had room 1429 with wrap around views of Diamond head and the ocean. Other reviews we read said the beach restoration project meant they couldn't walk on the beach... 100 yards to the left is a mile or more of beautiful waikiki beach to walk on. The continental breakfast was funky with the complimentary […] cooler to carry stuff in, lots of fresh fruit, cereals, yogurt and sweet breads and rolls. We ate on our lanai and even took breakfast to the Arizona memorial to eat there while we waited for our tour time. Wolf gang pucks express had a great Chinois (chinese) salad with won tons, cashews, great dressing. We took it to go and walked over to a beach front table to eat with a million dollar view. The hop on hop off trolly stopping at the hotel made getting around easy. The elevators were easy compared to other high rises, you just had to follow the instructions they told us at check in, put your car up to the panel, press the floor number you wanted, then get in Elevator ABCDEF that the screen told you. Never more than one or two floor stops to our 14th floor room. If you want a hot cooked to order breakfast and deluxe dining for dinner, go spend 200-300 more per night elsewhere. Otherwise, we got a comfortable bed a clean room and bath, great views at a value price. Don't listen to the whiners, we got a great value. Mehr

We totally enjoyed our stay at the Aston. The hotel staff were very friendly and helpful. The breakfast is great quality and good variety. We loved the location away from the real busy area and across the street from the beach. Easy walking distance to everything. We did rent a car and you can park overnight cheaper in the Zoo parking lot located just […] behind the Aston. Great family vacation place to stay. The pool is very nice but doesn't get the sun until late afternoon. The beds are comfortable. We would stay here again for sure. Mehr

Free breakfast, but no coffee maker, small refrigerator/freezer in room isn't that good, my ice cream melted. On my tv romote all buttons go channel down and shower head didn't work well. But in a great location.

Free continental breakfast that could be taken offsite ( the beach) was awesome. Location good, near shopping, dinning. Room pretty small, somewhat outdated but clean. overall good choice.

The breakfast was advertised 'on the beach'.....Well u got little plastic esky and had to walk there yourself, but a shame the beach front location was under construction and an absolute eye sore...Moved to ilima one block over and back and had a kitchen and a room double the size for the same money...At least our breakie included eggs and bacon there....donuts […] and cereal at aston just didn't cut it Mehr

Hotel personnel courteous and helpful. Breakfast is awsome, something for everyone. Tiki bar has great happy hour. I look for sleep comfort when away from home and the beds are great. Good linens and matt covers. Our room was on the 25th floor facing Diamond Head and Waikiki Beach. Great sunrise view out the balcony window. (This room is larger because […] has no lanai, but a better choice) We walked everywhere or took the local bus which was just outside the door.
