Das Hotel liegt etwas zu weit außerhalb der city und in lauter und wenig attraktiver Umgebung. Außerdem fehlte im Zimmer ein Kühlschrank und wäre auch gegen Aufzahlung (wie in der Beschreibung des Hotels angeführt) im Zimmer nicht unterzubringen gewesen. Our room was small and noisy. Basic amenities. Nothing special... Morning noise was brutal though. Close-ish to downtown. The shuttle was handy enough.

We were really impressed with the accomodations for the price and really enjoyed the location!

The staff were very friendly and helpful but the rooms are very small. If you have more than two people you may feel somewhat confined.

This is the little motel that could. The front desk staff were very friendly and helpful. The shuttle to the Plaza was an excellent amenity. The room was clean, the beds firm, but the bathroom and vanity area were very small. It is a mile+ walk to the Plaza and downtown so walking is difficult. The continental breakfast was mediocre. We were anticipating a "nicer" facility. The room was cramped but clean. There was no literature in the room for tuning in television channels. It would have been nice to have had some listings for neighborhood restaurants. The breakfast offerings and eating room were quite good. We had concerns about the neighborhood and would not have considered taking […] our typical evening walk there. In short, we would not feel comfortable recommending this property as a nice place to stay in Santa Fe. Mehr

It was just as it was advertised. Great location. You can walk anywhere.

We had a wonderful visit after Christmas. The hotel was central to all the activities we planned. We could walk to many of our restaurants and shops. The staff were very helpful with suggestions of places to visit and how to get there. We had been to Santa Fe four years before and really loved it. The family that said there wasn't much to do with children […] didn't do their homework. I took my 23 year old "child" to every trail I could find. There was a Nature Center that we visited. We did the Canyon Road Galleries and really enjoyed the different art in each location. We visited Taos and the Suicide Bridge. We hiked up the mountains to Tent Rocks. What a lovely vista. I have to admit that I couldn't make it to the top. It had snowed prior to our visit and the weather hadn't warmed up much. It was fun just slipping and sliding our way all up and down the trails. We'll be back in four years to visit more trails and check out more restaurants. The breakfast was always a great start to our day. We would gather and discuss which activity to do for the day. Delicious selection of breads, eggs, fruit, yogurts and cereals. I hope to see more people visit Santa Fe. Mehr

My husband and I ended up staying at the Sage Inn twice. We were very happy with the accomodations and the value. The staff was friendly the warm fireplace was welcoming and the breakfast was good. I wouldn't hesitate to stay here again.

Simple, clean hotel, walkable to downtown if you don't mind a 15 minute walk.

My husband and I spent 12/30/11 and 12/31/11 at the Santa Fe Sage Inn. The hotel is within walking distance of the Plaza, though not as close as I thought from the description on the website. However, it is close to the Railyard in Santa Fe, which has a nice microbrewery, shops, Farmer's Market in winter, etc. Two problems with the hotel: First, a […] fire alarm went off the first night because of a small fire in the laundry room. We called the front desk to see if the alarm was actually a fire or just a prank, but no one answered. We ended up staying in our room, assuming it was a prank, but found out the next day that smouldering towels in the laundry room had set it off. Second, someone in the room next to ours had too much to drink in the middle of the night and vomited on the walkway outside our 2nd story room. The vomit spilled over onto the first floor walkway and parking lot. NO ONE CLEANED THIS UP. The vomit was still there almost 2 days later, when we checked out. I know hotel employees saw it because there were cleaning carts that went right by it, but no one cleaned it up. My recommendation: Skip the Santa Fe Sage Inn Mehr

Nice, inexpensive hotel, centrally located, and near a Whole Foods Market. Firm bed, clean room (although small). Friendly staff. However, do not stay on the first floor. We stayed on the first floor and could not sleep due to the floor creaking above us. This was our fifth or sixth stop at the Santa Fe Sage. It's become a regular place to stay in Santa Fe on our way to and from Colorado and Arizona. This hotel is so affordable that we were skeptical of what we would at that price. We were delightfully surprised to find such a clean and comfortable room, complete with a refrigerator and microwave. The location is convenient, even though it is not on the Plaza. But our stay was during a very cold and snowy time, so walking around Santa Fe would have […] been difficult even if we had stayed somewhere closer. Stayed at Sage Inn for one evening passing through Santa Fe. Hotel is in a great location if you want to see the Santa Fe, they provide a free shuttle to the plaza and all the staff we met were friendly and helpful. Try Maria's New Mexican cuisine restaurant around the corner - delicious!

My cousin and I stayed there while traveling overnight and we found the staff to be so helpful. We had shuttle service that took us right to the places we wanted to go so we wouldn't have to pull our Uhaul and try to park. This was a great value and location--plus they accept pets (although their website mentioned a $25 per day fee, and when we checked in the desk clerk told us it was $25 per day PER DOG--we have two). The room was clean and quiet, albeit somewhat small. Overall, I would definitely stay there again.

Our stay was very enjoyable, we would definitely recommend this hotel. It's very well located.

The 2 star rating is too low. We stayed because of our pet poodle, but would recommend it even if you have no pets. Helpful courteous staff and a fabulous full hot breakfast. Not walking distance from old town Silver City ity but convenient to all local sites by car. We travel a lot and have stayed in 3 & 4 star hotels that can't beat it.

I was a bit sceptical due to a few reviews, but this place was wonderful! The experience staying there was just what we needed. The breakfast was just fine, don't know what people want for a continental breakfast. The attendant for the breakfast was dedicted to keeping food stocked, and was very polite. A deal for the $. It is a motel-style design (doors to outside) in what appears to be a great location near the rail-yard of Santa Fe. It is not a place that will pamper you, but it does have a shuttle service and breakfast. If you need a safe place to sleep while exploring Santa Fe, without pretense or expensive extras, this will be more than adequate for you.

The hotel staff was very helpful. The shuttle service was very convenient. The breakfast was fantastic and we enjoyed the whole stay. I'd definitely plan to stay at the Sage Inn again.

Location is excellent with easy acess to downtown. Several wonderful places to eat close by. Friendly staff, good breakfast, nice rooms.

Hotel is older hotel so it does not have the larger style rooms, but it was in good condition and rooms were clean and acceptable. The hotel is located within easy walking distance of the downtown Plaza areas, etc. I would stay there again as long as competitive pricing is maintained against the nearby hotels.

Accomodations are comfortable and quiet. It is an easy ten minute walk to the Old city square and most activities and they run a free van service. Breakfast is fine.

The beds were extremely hard and our son walked in room with no shoes on and within minutes his feet were filthy! I had to wash them and ask him not to walk around without his shoes and socks! The front desk staff were rude to our friends checking in she literally argued with her about payment! She had to go to her car and get her proof they had already […] charged her fir the room! They were also rude to me. The best part of the stay is that it is very convenient to Santa fe square. Also, the breakfast was really good. Mehr
