Extended Stay America St Louis - Airport - Hazelwood

I was not happy that I was unable to have the room I booked and paid for. Being that I use to work in hospitality, I understand working with what is available, but when we checked in we were told that the twin rooms were not available but we'll be in a queen room with a rollaway. Once we arrived to our room, there was no rollaway. The phone was VERY […] dirty and I called the front desk. She brought up the rollaway w/o sheets or pillow. I had to go back down and bring them up and then threre were no extra pillows. I found dirty towels and a left over plastic bag in the kitchenette cabinet. The best thing was the visit with my family and a safe place we laid our heads! Mehr

Garnet at the front desk was awesome! She took great care of my husband and I needs! She is a wonderful asset to the company!

You get a discounted rate since you aren't paying for daily housekeeping and other basic services taken for granted at other hotels. If you know this going in, it isn't a really big issue. I only needed a place to sleep and bathe while I spent the day around the city. The staff were very courteous and very accommodating with requests.

I think for the price, it was definitely worth it! Nice, clean, rooms. The shower water pressure could have been better, but it was alright. The TV however, was smaller then the one my young daughter has in her room.....that could definitely be updated. Other than that, it was good.

We have been to many hotels in the saint louis area and this one was one of the nicer cleaner ones. it was right by the airport and the highway and other small stores. it was just as affordable and clean. the service is good also.

Nice place and very clean. Friendly staff. No complaints, especially the rate. Would stay again.

i really loved my room it was great i wll stay there again

When i got into my room the bath tube was dirty. The attendant was willing to come and clean it for me, but a few hours later when I was ready to take my bath it was dirty agai!! I leads to believe that there's some sort of fungus grwing in the tub and they readly need to do something to get that problem taken care of.

Needed a place near the airport for a few nights and got this at a such a great price I didn't expect much - room was perfectly clean and comfortable with a kitchenette. Staff were excellent - friendly and helpful. Nothing fancy and the place has the expected wear and scuff marks, but overall was very pleased and would def stay here again.

keep your money and go camping. It will be nicer.

Was a little Leary with it being so cheap but the room was clean and comfortable and the staff was very nice and helpfull will definitely be staying there again!!!

Not a very clean hotel...if cleanliness is a priority that affects your comfort level I wouldn't suggest this hotel.

I stayed in these hotels always when I got a good price because there's a little kitchen in it. That makes travelling very convenient. The rooms are very nice and spacious. And everything is always clean.

I liked this hotel, it had a nice recliner posistioned right to watch TV, logging on to the internet no problem. a real size refergeratior and range to make some simple meals if needed. It was clean and everything worked. If I have one complaint it is the bed is a trifle Hard but I slept good anyway.

We stayed one night and enjoyed our time there. It is very convenient to Lambert Airport. We left our car parked at the hotel and it was not bothered at all.

The staff was nice, and gracious. Room= nice for what you paid for, but nice. toliet works, Tv has a few channels. FYI- matress is FIRM. Hotel is in the outskirts of town next to the Airport, Quiet. Didn't hear much except a few door closings. They were repainting the outside when I stayed there, and I didn't hear anything from them. 20 Mins from Downtown. […] STL is a network of Interstates so know you're barrings before you go. Also, you can enter the hotel from one side of the street, so keep that in mind when you go, theres a concrete barrier on the highway, gotta make a bunch of u-turns. Mehr

THE ROOM WAS OK...THE HOTEL ATTENDANT THAT CHECKEDD ME IN WAS VERY NICE HOWEVER THE ONE THAT CHECKED ME OUT WAS VERY RUDE AN DISRESPECTFUL...I GUESS U GET WAT U PAY FOR...WILL NEVER GO BACK

They were working on the exterior of the hotel, whitch was fine but if you have bad knees the tub may give you pause, it is a very big step in and out.

I ask for a non smoking room an the room smell like smoke. They did not stock the room for a new guess. Its not kid friendly at all. The room stuck all around never will stay at this place again

We stayed here on last-minute whim. Hotel was quite a distance from the Busch Field. However, it was clean, quiet and very affordable. I would definitely stay here again.

I booked a queen size smoking room for my vacation ( 3 nights). I am from this town and I just wanted a small change of surroundings. After looking at the raitings for this place I was, to say the least, extremely apprehensive about the condition of the room. Someone said there were ants for goodness sake. I went to the hotel 2 days early and told […] the front desk lady. She said that we could check out a room, and that if I liked it she would hold it for my reservation! I went in and made sure the toilets worked, the bed was fine, air condition was controlable ( click air and its nice and cool,) and the "kitchen" was clean. Negative- One lightbulb did not work and I found a honeycomb cereal behind a chair on accident ( i don't eat them!) Yes, there were little burn holes, but for goodness sake.. you get what you pay for! I still LOVED this room. People were so suprised at how nice it was and now this hotel will have more new guests (my friends.) It is very roomy! If you are very kind and respectful.. and get a really nice desk clerk she may give you free wifi like I got. Anyway, I WILL get another room only here next time. Mehr

Conditions were very poor. Room unclean, cigarette holes on carpet. Entire hotel smelled. Refused to refund. After 2 calls to hotel.com, we received a refund. Definitely not a 2-1/2 star hotel.

I booked this room through hotels.com because of an event my daughter was having. I looked at the reviews and still thought that it would be ok. It was not. The location of the hotel is convenient and close to the interstate but the overall look of the area was not good. I mean as soon as you exit, you see a liquor store and 7-11. It is ok if you […] want to just lay your head somewhere but someone with a family would not like it here. The smell is that of an old hotel with out-dated rooms. I could have tolerated the above but I did not get any sleep at all because of the constant walking the halls, bumping against the walls, door slamming and drawer closing. (This literally went on all night long) I got no sleep. The walls are paper thin and I heard absolutely everything. Don't stay if you need any sleep. Mehr

I had a 2 night stay here but I had left the next morning. I was really dissapointed. the hotel did not have a clean feeling. The smell was just unbearable, there were no channels on the tv and also the bed was very hard. The bathroom was also not in the great of shape. Also I didnt care to much for the location.

I checked in and my first room was full of ants and smelled so BAD of smoke (i requested non-smoking). The bedspread had about 10 cigarette burns in it. My second room was okay. The air conditioner barely worked, the window was stuck open. When I tried to re-enter the room, the lock would not work. I had to get the desk attendant to come and open the […] door. There was a beer can and other trash (afraid to look) left in the trash can. The room smelled of smoke even though it was a non-smoking room, but it wasn't that bad. However, the bed was comfortable and the desk staff were very nice and patient. The poor woman was working all by herself on a Friday night and was encountering one problem after another. She took time out to help me open my door. Loved the location right off of 270, but probably wouldn't stay there again. I have been to other Extended Stays and they were fine. Mehr

There was absolutely nothing wrong with this place. Desk attendants were nice, the room was clean, etc. It's right off of the highway, and you hear the occasional airplane, but it didn't keep either of us awake at all. It's your typical cheap-ish hotel. The walls are kind of thin, but we only noticed that as we were checking out and heard the vacuum […] running in the room above. I'd recommend it if you're on a budget and don't expect something super fancy. It's about 15 minutes to downtown. Mehr

The hotel was not what we had expected, but it was clean and comfortable for one night. The room was billed as "non-smoking" however, upon entering the room there seemed to be a definite smoke smell. Staff was very nice.

I loved my stay. The room was very nice and clean. We loved the kitchen area; with an oven, microwave, sink, cabinets, (with the necessary dishes) to match. The staff was very professional and helpful. Thank you Extended Stay! Sincerely, Mr. B.

My complaint is this the bedspread/comforter on my bed had dried whitish stains on it as if someone had, had sex on it. When I pulled the spread off my bed there were indentation markings on the sheet as if someone had been on the bed on top of the covers. I found this to be discusting.

My hotel room was filled with insects and when I told the front desk they said they would make note of it. Hotel is in unsafe location, far from the city, and smelled terrible.
