Gutes Hotel, in unmittelbarer Nähe zur Wallstreet , am südlichsten Ende des Broadway. Sehr nette Bedienung. Enges aber sauberes Zimmer mit zwei Kingsize-Betten.

Großes Zimmer, gute Betten. Bei Zimmern nach hinten raus kann man bei offenem Fenster schlafen. Internet fürs Zimmer zu teuer. Im Bad leichter Renovierungsstau. Frühstück im Hotelrestaurant empfehlenswert, sehr nette Bedienung. Infostand für Sightseeing im Hotel sehr gut. Karten tlw. kostenfrei. Mexik. Pub +Chinarestaurant ca. 200 m entfernt. U-Bahn ca. 400m weg.

Wir waren sehr zufrieden mit dem Hotel. Das Zimmer war sauber, zweckmäßig und der Service freundlich und aufmerksam. In direkter Nähe befinden sich viele Sehenswürdigkeiten (Stock Exchange, 9/11 Memorial, Trinity Church) und man erreicht 3 verschiedene Subway-Stationen innerhalb weniger Gehminuten. Außerdem die Fähre nach LongIsland bzw. den Anleger für die Boote zur Freiheitsstatue und Elis Island. Da an der Wallstreet Abends/ Nachts nicht ganz so viel los ist, kann man - für NYC-Verhältnisse - relativ ruhig schlafen, v.a. im Vergleich mit der Gegend rund um den TimesSquare usw. Ein kleines, aber feines, familiengeführtes (so schien es) Hotel, dass wir auf alle Fälle weiterempfehlen würden!

Das Hotel war super, das Personal äußerst freundlich, aber die Betten (2 Queensize-Betten) quitschten bzw. ein Bett war so kaputt, so dass wir die Matratze auf den Boden legen mussten..... Wir haben uns aber nicht beschwert, da es uns nicht so wichtig war.

"Michelangelo in NYC"
Sehr schönes und gepflegtes Hotel in der Nähe vom Times Square. Die Lage hat uns gut gefallen, man muss ja nicht immer in den Trubel, wenn man die vielen Menschen am T.SQ. vermeiden möchte. Alle waren sehr freundlich und zuvorkommend- das Hotel habe ich bewusst gewählt, weil es einen Hauch von Europa hat, den man schon beim italienischen Kaffee morgens […] schmecken konnte und es gab auch kostenlos kleine Kuchen zum Frühstück. Da ich sehr großen Wert auf Sauberkeit lege, war der Preis des Hotels für mich schon entscheidend. Sicher kann man in NY auch günstiger wohnen, aber wir hatten sogar ein wunderschönes, großes Zimmer( wir bekamen ein kostenloses Upgrade zur Junior Suite), das 1 x gesäubert wurde und am Abend noch mal von der Hausdame gecheckt wurde ( Bett aufdecken, Schokolade aufs Kissen, ect,) Auch die Empfangsmitarbeiter waren sehr hilfsbereit und fürsorglich. Das einzige was ich zwar nicht bemängeln möchte, wo es aber oft kurzfristig zum Stau kam, war der kostenlose PC für Hotelgäste( für einen Internetzugang wurden $ 10,00 /Tag berechnet) Alles in allem waren wir sehr zufrieden und freuten uns nach den anstrengenden Sight Seeing auf unsrer Massagedusche im Bad. Grundsätzlich gut (s.o). Allerdings AC-Anlage (im Zimmer, nicht Zentral) sehr laut. Sogar Anlage des Nachbars deutlich hörbar.

Sehr gepflegtes, charmantes Hotel mit einem italo-american Touch der 60ger Jahre. Zimmer sind grosszügig und Betten super bequem. Wärmstens zu empfehlen!

This hotel was great - the room was oversized and comfortable, the bed was great, the people at the front desk were warm and helpful, the location was perfect. My overall experience at the hotel was really fantastic and added to the enjoyment of my weekend in NYC.
The hotel staff was superb as were the rooms. An overall exceptional experience!!!

"Large beautifully decorated rooms"
When we first went into our room, the first thing I noticed was the damp smell, then I saw the brick wall straight outside the window, making the room feel claustrophobic, it felt as though it was in a basement.. Being English and not liking to normally complain, we did tel reception and they immediately sent a porter to move our luggage to another […] room. The room was very spacious and beautifully decorated, with a view of the street, which was very welcome. The only small niggle was the noise from the air conditioning unit, which we had to turn off at night. Otherwise this was a gem of a hotel. Mehr

My husband and I stayed one night in this hotel. The service was excellent, the bed and pillows were very comfortable, and the decor was beautiful. We highly recommend the Michaelangelo for a romantic weekend in the city.

This was my first stay. The lobby was a bit dated looking, but the room was great. There is no coffee in the room, but room service came in 10 minutes. The continental breakfast was huge and tasty. The bar was quite nice, with excellent service. Hotel location is perfect for theater.

We stayed here based on recommendations from friends and the reviews we read. We were not disappointed in the least. The service was outstanding, the room size was huge considering most others in NY are very small, and the location couldn't get any better. Right around the corner from Time Square and Central Park. "Experience was average"
While the hotel was very nice, I was not overly impressed. I would likely try something different in the future, just to get a comparison (it was my first time in NY). Con(s): (1) While most of the staff members were very nice, a few were rude. My first talk (on the phone) with a member of the hotel staff was very disappointing (I found him to be […] very rude and unhelpful). (2) I noticed a number of other reviewers praised the size of the bathtub. Unfortunately for us, there was hair in the bathtub when we arrived -- which left us feeling uneasy about using anything other than the shower. (3) Price tags on various items in the room created a somewhat unwelcoming feel. I understand placing price tags on the mini-bar, but placing a price tag on the robes in the bathroom was a little excessive. (4) Not a very good view. Pro(s): (1) Big room (2) Little street noise for us (we were on one of the higher floors). Again, I'm not saying our stay was horrible -- just not remarkable for the amount we spent. Given that there are lots of hotels at similar price ranges, I would probably opt to try something else in the future. Mehr

"The Michelangelo Hotel - perfect"
Located a block from Rockefeller center, easy access to subway lines. Boutique feel to the hotel, everything was perfect: clean, well decorated rooms, pleasant and helpful service and great meal in the lobby restaurant. Highly recommend it!

This is a superb luxury boutique hotel on 51St. The location is great, just round the corner and it's within walking distance to Times Square, the Subway stations and some of the theatres. I stayed at the Hilton for 2 nights before moving to Michelangelo and I much prefer Michelangelo. I stayed there for 6 nights and was very comfortable in the spacious […] bedroom and a very lovely bathroom where the vanity area is separate from the bathroom. I had a night flight and the hotel was willing to extend my check-out time 2 hours later. I appreciate the flexibility and will definitely go back there for my next trip. Mehr

"Excellent location, comfortable room, good service"
Very close to theaters, times square and not too far from central park. Staff was friendly and accomodating. Room was comfortable and large with a large bathroom and tub. Super comfy bed. Best thing was that you are close to all the action but the hotel itself and room was beautiful, quiet and cozy. Only complaint is that plumbing could be quite loud […] at times. Otherwise perfect! "The Michaelangelo in Times Square"
I booked this hotel based on the reviews on Hotel.com and I have to agree that it is a great find. I've stayed at many hotels in NYC, including the Four Seasons and Ritz Carlton and I have to say that the quality of the room was comparable (other than the bathroom). It is convenient for shows but you don't feel like you in the middle of a millino tourists […] in Times Square. Great hotel! Mehr

We had another lovely stay at the Michelangelo. Our room was spacious, the hotel personnel were very friendly and helpful, and the location is perfect for the theatre , fine dining, and interesting shopping. This is definitely our favorite place to stay.

We had a beautiful room. It was very cozy and comfortable with all the amenities. It has a great location. Its close to the Theater District and great restaurants. Other […] must see sights are in walking distance. The front desk staff and other employees were all professional, helpful and friendly. This is going to be our new NYC home away from home. The room was decorated in opulent bordello style, offered no sky view (just an air shaft) and, worst of all, was incredibly hot and stuffy. There seemed to be no way to cool it down or introduce clean, fresh air. Moreover, the switch on the bedside lamp was defective, and sparked when it was turned on, rendering the lamp unsafe to operate and ,therefore, […] useless. Love the Michaelangelo - always stay there when in NYC. Really miss the continental breakfast in the lobby. Basement accomodations more like a dungeon-definitely a downgrade in service. Otherwise still a great hotel in perfect neighborhood
