Pear Tree Inn San Antonio Airport - San Antonio

I thought the hotel provided everything it said it would and was pleased with the staff who were very helpful. The only negative was finding the hotel. It was located under a freeway overpass with no visible sign. Youhad to enter the driveway through another hotels parking lot. We had to make two rather desperate calls to Hotels.com before we got the […] Pear Trees direct line. Once that was accomplished we had no more issues and the hotel was clean, staff great and rooms comfortable. Mehr

Under very trying circumstances, the staff made a very difficult visit to San Antonio incredibly comfortable and extremely pleasant. This is way my husband and I always stay at the Pear Tree Inn Airport when we come to San Antonio.

they stay was just for an over night because of convience to the airport. there is an apple bee's and a cracker barrel with-in walking distance.. the first floor rooms have what could be easy access for people to gain entry to your room. they do have security so we felt safe..

The stafff was very nice and helpfull. I especially enjoied the happy hour. the price was just right for the week I stayed.

The parking outside is scary because they don't have a lot of spaces that u have to park in the back but then scared cause u saw glass on the ground where someone's car got broken into. Then the room smelled like mildew and they had roaches and the towels had stains on them which was gross. I will not stay at this hotel again until they clean it and […] change things. Mehr

Great breakfast

Good value for the money and located close to the airport. No noise from the planes at all despite the proximity to the airport.

Location was super easy to get to and access from even better. Room was very clean and cozy. We will definetly return

A nice hotel, close to the airport at a reasonable price with free internet and continental breakfast included. Nice place for a short stay; however, not a convenient place for a sight seeing/downtown.

The beds are not the greatest. Too small for two people when you have kids and spouse. The beds felt like water beds where one moves and the other person moves like you're floating in water. I think the pillows are stuffed with feathers, something that triggered my allergies. Luckly for me, I had my medicine handy. The fan in the bathroom did not work […] at all so you can imagine what you're going through when you're doing your necessities. Also, the switch to the bathroom is located outside rather than inside and the door to the bathroom cannot be locked for privacy. I never like door that divides the rooms. I thought it was a closet and when i opened it, there was another door leading to the next room. Not pleased with that idea at all. No, no ,no...that's a nono for me...and pretty sure it is for other people too. Mehr

getting in and out of the hotel was a breeze. Drinks and snacks were nice.

A good value for the money. Excellent access to the airport and other facilities in the area. The only thing I can think of to improve the hotel is to get some new towels. These are getting awfully thin.

A great room with a great cost. Snacks in the evening were very well done; and we were able to park our car there for free and get a free shuttle to and from the airport for a very early (5:30 a.m.) flight. We will definitely use them again.

The price was much less than surrounding hotels which were located next to or very near the Pear Tree Inn. Neighborhood seemed "safe" and Applebee's was located within walking distance, as well as a Logan's close by. Room was clean. Beds seemed bit firm/lumpy but for an overnight stay they were do-able. Towels and blankets were very thin and cheap, […] but I've seen the same in more expensive hotels (just ask for extras). No fancy flatscreen TV, but I wasn't there for fancy electronics. Mini fridge and microwave were nice additions. Fairly easy access to major expressways. Less than 15 minutes to AT&T Center which was our destination. Would also be easy to reach downtown area as well. I would stay there again. It was fine for sleeping or as base camp. Did not eat breakfast there so no idea about the "free" breakfast choices. Mehr

For my needs, this was perfect. A short drive to my family, an even shorter drive to the airport and car rental return.....The room was clean, the staff was friendly and the price was right. I rented a car but an airport shuttle is available. You can be downtown in 15 minutes if you so desire...Sea World and Fiesta Texas are maybe 35 minutes away.....easy […] on/off access from 410....and plenty of restaurants within a 5 minute ride. This hotel was a great value for the money. Many amenities you don't get at more luxury hotels. FREE wifi, breakfast and happy hour in the evening. Didn't see the gym but they do have one. And laundry as well. That is a BIG deal for a hotel. I don't want to have to pay to send my clothes out so that is awesome. Room was a good layout for shared stay. […] A little old and outdated decor but has been kept up very well. And the amenities are worth it as well. Great place. For a quick weekend or a long stay with a budget... This is your place. Mehr

When we travel to San Antonio, we love staying here because the breakfast is filling with homemade waffle, 3 complimentary beverages in the evening, and a friendly, helpful front desk.

This a great place to stay for the money. I have stayed here several times and I have never been disappointed.

After a long road trip it was nice to be warmly greeted at the front desk . We arrived January the 13th 2012. in the evening and the lady at the front desk just revived our energy because of her great attitude. What a great place to stay...and what a bargain!

I was most delighted with my stay at your hotel and would recommend you to all my friends. The staff in particular , were very helpful and courteous. keep up the good work, the traveling public needs your kind of service.

I was appalled at the condition of the room behind the furniture.... there were layers of dust and dirt. Nasty!! I did inform the desk clerk in the morning.

I wasn't expecting much of this particular hotel, but the staff and service was very good. Location was perfect for us, in the middle of everything to see and do in San Antonio. It is located in the middle of many overpasses and turnarounds, so it may take a little time to know how to get to it, but once you learn it, it was very easy to move around. […] There's a very convenient 24 hr Walmart across the 410 loop, and many restaurants and fast food close to the hotel. Registration went smoothly. Rooms were very clean, from previous reviews we were expecting this not to be, so we throughly revisited the bathroom and under the beds, everything was clean. The pool was well maintained, and since the weather was warm even when it was January, some of the girls made use of it without any hassle. Our room had a small fridge and microwave, a CRT TV with the regular HBO and local channels. Weather was very mild so we didn't have a need for the A/C, so we cannot comment on that. Local and domestic phone calls are free, and the internet was OK. We were a large group (6 rooms), but the staff always had the patience and a smile to help us with directions, phone numbers, attractions, etc. They also mentioned that rooms were clean and in mint condition. Breakfast was OK, nothing spectacular, but at least they had TWO waffle grills that worked, this is a first for us, even on more expensive hotels tehy usually have only one. In the afternoons they have a reception for guests, with free softdrinks, popcorn, beer and wine, but we never used it because we always arrived late. We had a great time, and we believe we got a good value for our money, so we recommend this hotel indeed. Mehr

Enjoyed our stay. It was right next to the airport. Loved the courtesy drinks. Nice touch to our comfortable stay. I would stay here again anytime. Just great service.

Good location, friendly staff, alot of ammenities, good breakfast, complementary drinks at night, snacks, airport shuttle was very convinience, but there was no queen size bed on the room that i booked with queen size bed. next time i will reassure with personel about the queen size bed if not i will look for other places.

Front office clerks need training in courtesy to all customers--responding to all requests even if the answer is "No". Ignoring customers requests is definitely not good for business!

pear Tree Inns are always dependable to be clean & warm greeting at the door.. It is part of the Durey chain which is also outstaning hotel chain. Internet available to print boarding pass. Less than 10 minutes form the airport. Applebee's with in a short walking distance . stays open late, for a good meal. Walls paper thin, right next to freeway with lots of traffic, shower did not drain, breakfast average, no one at front desk when checking out.

Always try to stay here. Always very courteous staff. Only disappointment was that last year they served a full breakfast with eggs, sausage. Now it is just a beefed up continental breakfast.

I've stayed over 5 times at this hotel and the staff is very nice and efficient.food is provided..love the waffles..and overall quiet and close to mall and other venues

The staff was very friendly and helpful, we were able to leave our vehicle at hotel and they took us to the airport and picked us up on our return, which was a nice touch.
