Econo Lodge - Lenox

Dirty towels, non-functioning coffee pots, a long wait for the continental breakfast to be set up... It might be better when they expect more people.

This hotel needs a renovation bad but as I was in the area I guess they all do. Bathroom is small, cold air comes through, and the heating system was either way too hot or way to cold.

Hotel looks nicer than website. Room is a bit old, some lights were not working well, but with the price included internet and breakfast, it is good!!!

The motel is located in a remote area of Lenox, Mass. with pleasant and quiet surroundings. Includes a descent continental breakfast and reasonable rates.

Hotel was quite dated. The room was clean Pool was under repair and filter was a jerry-rigged.

The hotel is easily accessible and the staff were very accomodating. Most surprising were the grounds which were spacious and manicured with a lovely pool. The hotel is a great value.

Unfortunately, I don't have a lot of good things to say about this hotel. The room was full of dust and mold. We had to use the air conditioner because it was at least 90 degrees in the room when we arrived, and that made things even worse. We ended up feeling sick. While the place was quiet at night, carts rolling around in the early AM prevented us […] from sleeping in, so I can't even give it a good grade there. We won't be back. Mehr

Beautiful exterior and grounds in a scenic setting. But only 2 bath towels and no hand towels nor washcloths

The location was great for Tanglewood. The hotel was adequate. Air conditioner did not work well- which detracted from comfort. But it was clean, and the manager was glad we told him about the air-conditioner and said he would fix it. Also includes a reasonable breakfast which is a plus.

The location is great if you wish to go to Tanglewood and Lenox. The hotel advertises free wireless internet access, but the truth is that there is no viable strength to the signal, so do not intend to do any work there. The building is shabby but the room was clean and comfortable. You could do worse for this price. If you just plan to crash and sleep […] in the hotel, it is worth using it. Go to a nearby coffee shop in Lenox for internet access. Mehr

I was more than satisfied with this motel in every respect. It's beautifully situated amid spacious well-kept grounds along Rte 7, just beyond the commercial "strip" in Lenox. No traffic noise. Only 2 miles from Lenox and 3 miles from Tanglewood, My room and all common areas were very fresh, clean, well kept-up. My room was large, attractively furnished, […] and well appointed with all amenities. The complimentary Continental breakfast was actually a generous spread of everything from waffles to cereal to eggs. The staff was intelligent, helpful, and courteous. I will definitely stay there again when visiting that section of the Berkshires. Mehr

The Econo Lodge was filthy. The entire room was coated in dust. The heating system had mold and dust in the vents. The bedding was threadbare with burn holes in the bedding. (I was in a non-smoking room.) I was so cold in the room that I had to sleep fully clothed with the heat on high. The furnishings were shabby. The place was desolate as well. I stayed for 5 days and the room was in good condition. I had 2 issues. The first the wireless network for my end of the hotel wasn't working in that the password didn't work and it took the hotel staff 48 hours to fix. At first they didn't believe it was their network but later realized they couldn't get on their own network. Room was clean but VERY dated. Light switch was a box mounted on the wall, with a cover for the wiring. Siding falling off the front of the building. Staff was pleasant enough. It was adequate for one night, and price was reasonable, but would not return.

After reading previous blogs I was a little skeptic about having a 2 night rerservation at this motel. Upon arival I was very pleased to see that although it was very basic , the motel room was very clean and the staff was very courtious . We had no problems during the two day stay and I would not hesitate to return to this motel. It had a great location […] and the neighborhood was just fine. Mehr

It would help if the town would intall a sidewalk up to the next traffic signal. Then guests could have an easy walk to the restaurants and shops there. The county bus stops right at the motel (good). But the bus doesn't run after 5 p.m. and doesn't run at all on Sundays (bad).

The Econo Lodge is an older, dated motel. However, the piles of bird dropping scattered about the second floor outside corridors were disgusting and several members of the cleaning staff just walked right by and ignored it. We would have left but there were no other available rooms in the area. The address of this hotel shown in hotel.com was actually the old one, so we got lost to get there.

# 1 the second floor is suported by jack stand so the concret is bad on the second floor # 2 burnt out bulb,s in room no replacment offerd till am # 3 the door,s stick very bad with the electroninc key lock as for safty and security at this hotel non excestent \#4 maby the food at on sight restrant would be better but after looking over menue very over […] priced glade i orderd take out local # 5 if you need a place to crash and your a single guy go for it if you a couple pay a bit more for one of the local bed and breakfast place,sthis place is not it Mehr
