Das Hotel bietet für den, der es mag, eine besondere Atmosphäre und hebt sich damit von der Masse ab: Die alten Möbel in den Zimmern sind rustikal renoviert und der Verputz an den Wänden ist nicht perfekt ausgeführt. Es ist nicht erkennbar, ob dies an mangelnden handwerklichen Fähigkeiten liegt oder beabsichtigt wurde. Klemmende Schubladen und die nicht […] vorhandene Klimaanlage, die durch einen Standventilator ersetzt wurde sowie nur 1 (wackliger) Stuhl im Zimmer ergänzen den Eindruck. Die Glasschiebewand auf der Badewanne stand im positiven Gegensatz dazu. Dass das angebotene Kontinentalfrühstück nur aus einem Stück (allerdings leckeren) Kuchen, Orangensaft, Tee und Kaffee besteht, erfreut sicher nur Minimalisten. Mehr

zudem liegt das Hotel direkt an der Grenze zu Nevada. Das Hotel ist mit Sauna und Massage und allem was man zur Erholung braucht ausgerüstet. Es ist unbedingt zu empfehelen, wenn man ein kleines Haus mit privater Atmosphäre mag.

Ich kann dieses Hotel nur empfehlen. Tolle Lage: ca 5 Min. zu Fuß zum See. Trotzdem total zentral gelegen. Wir hatten zwar kein Frühstück gebucht. Trotzdem gibt es für die Gäste jederzeit Kaffee, Tee, und Kuchen gratis. Die Zimmer sind auch sehr schön eingerichtet. Würde jederzeit wieder dort wohnen!!!

Das Konzept des Hotels, einige Recylingelemente / Naturstoffe wie Holz in den Zimmern und dem Hotel zu verwenden erzeugte ein angenehmes Gefühl. Die Lage ist super zentral in South Lake Tahoe. Man ist in ca. 10 Gehminuten direkt am See und in 5 Gehminuten direkt bei verschiedensten Geschäften. Für Leute die gerne mal dem Glücksspiel nachgehen ist man […] in ca. 10 Gehminuten auf der Seite von Nevada, wo direkt an der Grenze die ersten beiden Casinos stehen. Was im Zimmer etwas gefehlt hat waren zumindest ein kleiner Kühlschrank, jedoch war dies mit einer Kühlbox und den Eisautomaten auch kein wirkliches Problem. Mehr

Das Hotel ist sehr orginell renoviert,das Zimmer war mit Balkon und sehr gross.Die Einrichtung mit riesigem Flachbildschirm, King Size Bett,Sofa Microwelle und Frigor.Die Lage ist zentral zu Fuss sind Casinos,See und Freizeitaktivitäten locker erreichbar.Auch der Kuchen Kaffe und der Saft am Morgen bei der Lobby ist standart.Das Preisleistungsverhältnis […] habe ich als sehr gut empfunden. Das Hotel ist sehr zentral gelegen, Hotel und Zimmer sind modern und stilsicher eingerichtet. Das Hotelpersonal war sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. In der Umgebung gab es viele Restaurants und Einkaufsmöglichkeiten und der Privatstrand war sehr einladend. Leider bestand das Frühstück nur aus Tee/Kaffee und einem Stück Kuchen.

Not great for a business stay. No business center w/computers that guests might use. No coffee maker in the room. No restaurant or food service. Good for ski vacation.

Rooms need some color. Front desk called in the middle of my kids nap to ask when we were checking out, however we were booked for 2 nights and it was an error on their end. She also stated she could give me the extra night for half of the reservation I paid, however she found the reservation and I had prepaid the amount so I was a little irritated […] !! Mehr

General: Its a descent hotel but do not expect a 3-4 star experience. they have tried to give a rustic feeling to every part of the hotel (including bathrooms) which makes it look ugly to a certain extent. Spa and Sauna: Nice sauna but spa looked and smelled as if it is over-treated with chemicals which made me stay away from it. Happy hours: They have happy hours in the afternoon as well as late night (10-11). Pretty cheap beer and wines (50% off). Definitely a deal here. Room: Room is kind of ok. There is no coffee maker in the room so will have to count on a common coffee place next to the front desk. That coffee is usually disgusting, often burnt. Breakfast: Really bad and really really minimal. They will keep a small jar of juice and a small plate of few breads in the name of breakfast for everybody. Expect to spend on breakfast outside since you wont get anything in there. Please do not count on breakfast offerings if this is one of the criteria of your booking. Location: Excellent location. Walking distance to the shopping plaza, heavenly resort gondola and casinos. Also, just 2 blocks away from lake front. Mehr

The staff here were very friendly and helpful. The gentleman who checked us in gave us tips for great local dining, the next day the woman at the front desk ran towels to us herself since we forgot to bring them to the spa & sauna room and we were already in the hot tub. 968 Park Hotel was a nice change from the usual motels we stayed at. It's conveniently located within walking distance to the main strip and casinos. The room was a clean. great location -can walk to almost everything! No being able to coool the room was a problem...we had the heat off but surronging rooms still kept it too warm. opened the window for a bit but it was 20 degrees outside so that wasn't a permanent fix. easy walk to casinos, shopping and restaurants. Nicely decorated, sort of quaint country meets modern feel. great amenities, pool, sauna, nice bath products! cute bar in the lobby, "breakfast" is just coffee or tea and some local baked goods which were mostly gone by the time we got downstairs in the morning, but there is a breakfast place within walking […] distance that will give you a discount when you stay here. friendly staff. we booked on expedia and the hotel required a $100 deposit at registration (cash or card) which we got back upon checkout. Watch your head when you enter the hot tub!

I reserved 2 rooms and had tp pay $200 in incidentals. Thought this should had been told before I reserved the rooms. There is no forced air or heat so the room was 50 degrees when we got in it, Rooms are small but beds are great & very nicely decorated. Small fridge no blowdryer. Breakfast is after 6:30 so we didnt get anything but coffee before we […] left. My parents room had no hot water so I let the desk clerk know and he could care less. I wouldnt pay over $50 for this room mid week $72 weekend. Mehr

I stayed on this property for a couple of days with the family, the location and deco are great. The staff needs to be more attentive and customer oriented, it really brings the valu of the property down, the place is nice but the staff is slow and careless

This boutique is close to gondola and shopping. The staff, Chris, Tyler, Christina were very helpful in recommending places to eat, lift tickets, directions etc. A very comfortable place to stay for our ski weekend. And the bed is truly magic.

Everything about this place was wonderful, we can't wait to go back we. The staff was super friendly.

Very comfortable bed and pillows. Room was simple but very clean, nice. Walking distance to hotels and shops. Exceptionally friendly. Will definitely stay here again.

We went in early Feb 2012 for a quick family vacation in Tahoe and stayed 2 nights. With my husband, son and I we got a deluxe 2 queen room. We loved this place. Its not luxury class, but very comfortable. For the same star rating and price I was deciding between Harveyʻs and here, and glad I chose Park 968. It was clean and family friendly, plus no […] cigarette smoke. Pros- Location was convinient, close to the Heavenly Gondola and Village. Ample parking. Very comfortable beds, nice flat screen tv and wool carpets made the room relaxing. The radiant space heater worked great and no loud fan! Cons- Yes the walls are "thin" but luckily there were no raging parties. The bathroom fan is loud, and the bathroom light is was dim. Lighting in the hotel in general was dim. I was visiting a friend in Reno last weekend and decided to go thru Tahoe and stay at the 968 Park Hotel on my way back home. I ended up getting in late Sunday evening, but check in was quick and the staff were friendly. The rooms are large, modernized and very clean. The bed was extremely comfortable. Unfortunately I did not get a chance to enjoy the amenities at the hotel (sauna, massage services, hot tub) because my stay was only one night. But I will definitely be checking this hotel out again. The indoor hallways are nice until you realize you have to carry your stuff from the back parking lot! Not a huge deal but I guess I've gotten used to parking just outside my room at other places. The lobby/bar was cute and desk staff was friendly. Unfortunately, wireless stopped working for me as the rooms filled up so that was a bummer. I've also […] never seen so many smokers outside of a hotel in my life! But at least they are outside!! I got a screaming deal (super discounted rate) and then for whatever reason they also upgraded my room so I was pleased. But otherwise I wouldn't pay the rack rate. Hotel 986 is convienenlty located 1 block away from Heavenly Village and a gondola that will put u in the mix to get some sking done, and there is a good shopping around also.

Was a very nice hotel. But there was noise in the hallway most of the night and our upstairs neighbors sounded like they were running laps around the bed begging at 4 AM.

This place was amazing I dont know what else to say I love our stay... Me and my lady went there for a day just to check out south lake tahoe because we never been there before.. this place was very convenient because it was near the stores... the sucky thing was there were no snow when we went and we were hoing for some snow but its okay we went to […] the casino near by play $1 and won 180 dollars haha then we quit and got dinner hehe overall love our stay... one thing i didnt like about the place was everything was squeaky every foot steps one makes everyone can hear you but that didnt bother us cause the beds were comfy... I had been eyeing the 968 Park Hotel for awhile because they've had several deals on Living Social and Groupon for some time. I was able to snag a reservation through a last minute deal on Hotels.com. I'm glad we were able to get it - the location is great (we were able to walk to everything we wanted to do) and the hotel was very nice for the price. […] We could tell that the hotel had been recently been remodeled but everything looked really presentable. Overall I was very disappointed with this hotel. The information given indicated that the pool was heated and open year round. When we arrived, we were informed that the pool was closed for the winter. Also, we came back to our room around 8:00 p.m. and there was no hot water. We could not take showers at night. Maybe too many people taking showers. […] We were able to shower in the morning but we got up at 6:00 a.m. to do so. The beds were good, but the pillows were lumpy and uncomfortable (no support). We did not get much sleep because you could hear people above you, below you and in the hall when they came back to their rooms. You could hear cars pull up in the parking lot. You could hear traffic outside. Apparently, they did not do anything about noise reduction when they remodeled this hotel. The person who checked us in was very nice but after we checked in there was no one around to answer any questions or help with issues (i.e., no hot water). I understand that this hotel is organic, but the room we had did not smell clean. It smelled like someone had sprayed air freshener but the underlying unclean smell was still there. I'm glad we only stayed one night. This hotel was way too expensive for what you got. Mehr
