very good for they price..great service..but right off beltway and you never know what type of person you will run into....

Great place to stay when your budget is tight.

The convenient location and price made this hotel a good choice. Although the room was clean, the hotel looks like it needs a facelift. There is a real neighborhood bar just off the lobby and several good restaurants nearby.

Bed bugs and customer service was teribile

This place is horrid. Checked in on a Saturday evening. Apparently some sort of nightclub is run right out of the hotel with the entrance to it right in the lobby...very loud music & intoxicated people running in & out of these doors during check in. People lingering about outside smoking &running around. Since our room was on this side of the hotel, […] we had no where to park because the bar patrons had fully filled every space even close to our room. The condition of the room and its contents were so disappointing. A full size (not queen bed) that was flimsy & fitted with sheets that smelled dirty. A 1& 1/2 inch gap under the door letting cold air in, an outdated tv to match outdated furniture & a generally dingy room with a bathroom that was old & disgusting. Although it was a nonsmoking room, the whole place reeked of smoke, six lamps, clock, etc plugged into extension cords that looked like a hazard. I left a day early &a for $6 more checked into a room across the street with a lovely large, clean, updated bathroom, sheets that smelled clean &a a KING size bed, ample parking &a no bar or bar patrons Mehr

This hotel badly needs a facelift. My room was tired-looking, and almost dilapidated.

it gets the job done for a night. The sheets were clean, the bathroom I wiped down before using but it looked like mostly stains on the walls etc.. everything was fine except I wasnt please with the bathroom.

It was a decent stay. Obviously its not the National Gaylord hotel or anything, but it served its purpose. No drama at the front desk, finding the room was easy, room appeared clean. Breakfast was nothing special but then again its not a 5 star hotel or anything. I suppose I wouldn't mind going again

When we checked into the room on 12/31/2011, the front desk clerk was very nice and professional. After leaving to an event and coming back I contacted the front desk at around 2:00 a.m. regarding some questions I had. This person was VERY rude. He never answered my questions and even hung the phone up on me and refused to answer the phone when I called […] back. Very nasty place to stay. I would not recommend this place to anyone......

Our 1st room had a bathroom door handle that would not turn nor allow us to close the door w/o being locked in. The 2nd room same night had a refrigerator that acted like a freezer. It froze and shattered our sparkling water in the middle of the night as well as freezing our milk & oj into a slush. Poor condition motel needs major money to become even […] satisfactory! The only motel I've visited that had cockroaches, torn lamp shades, cigarette burns on the bedspread, and no room cleaning in three days. BAD

After reading other reviews I was concerned about my stay there. I was having out of town surgery and using the facility for my recovery place. while the first non-smoking room they put us in was smoky smelling, they quickly put us in another room that was great. Overall the hotel was ok, however the elevator was out of order, and also the ice machines. You had to go to the bar in the lobby for ice.

The Hotel exterior was poorly kept. The sink was clogged and there was a drip under the toilet. The room was non-smoking yet smelled of smoking. Very disappointing.

The room smelled very bad and lacked cleanliness, however was conveniently located and staff was courteous.

Not impressed with this place! The area is not that great and the room was very dingy and dirty. NOT WORTH WHAT I PAID!!!!!

Very clean smelling and maintained room. I would recommend Ramada to others. In spite of a heavy trafic area I was not disturbed by outside noise.

the room was wet, even after changing rooms, you could see the moisture in the air. they tried to tow my truck because it was too big to fit into their small parking spaces. hotels.com said it was 25 miles from chestertown, it was 90 miles away. the food in the bar was nasty. don't stay here.

THE ROOM WAS OLD AND NEEDED TO BE UPDATED. THE SHOWER LOOKED WORN OUT, THE BED HAD BURN HOLES IN IT AND THE ROOM WAS A NON SMOKING ROOM. THE COMFORTER SMELLED REALLY BAD. I SPENT 2 NIGHTS AT THIS HOTEL AND THAT WILL BE THE LAST, I'M NOT USUALLY THAT PICKY, BUT I WASN'T IMPRESSED TO SAY THE LEAST.

Great location! Pleasant and professional reservationist and staff. The place could use a little renovation a tad old and musty, but conveniently located.

CON: This hotel was so nasty. The room was so dirty that I didn't even feel clean taking a shower and there was a huge pile of mattresses out back by a dumpster. There was no microwave or fridge in the room either, which was disappointing. You basically had to kick the doors (entrance and bathroom) down to get in or out which was irritating, especially […] at night when you didn't want to wake people up. It was horrible, I saw creatures roaming my roam more so than I ever seen before. There was mildew in the bathroom and the hotel room itself. I did not like it at all. I give it a 1.8 out of 5.

This hotel was given a two-star rating which it is not, the room was filthy. The staff, however, was very friendly and helpful.

We actually rented 2 rooms which they did put side by side,but the conditions were un excusable.My sister in-law's son pulled blankets back and condoms were in bed.Plus opened one in tub. Our tub was dirty and the bathroom door hit the tiolet when we closed door.Door handle to bathroom was falling off and the beds were very hard.I would never recommend […] this hotel.When you sit on seat in bathroom it would pinch you in the thigh,my son has bruise mark from it. Though the price was excellent but the condition of the hotel room and bathroom were not up to the price level - Management has to thinks seriously about the strange odors in the room and bathroom- We stayed only one night and decided to move on - downtown Baltimore

The room smelled of vomit and urine and the noise from the bar on the same level was very loud. Moved to another room the next day which turned out to be better. However, the person at the desk was not helpful.

The rugs need to be changed and there was rust, cracks and brown spots in the tubs and walls. When I first started staying at the ramada years ago it was very clean and now it is changing. Please don't let this happen. The hotel is in Baltimore MD.

This is a motel -- rooms on outside. In the center is a karaoke bar -- that's where the complimentary breakfast is -- in a bar in the morning, not very appetizing. The OJ pitcher looked like it hadn't been cleaned in a while. The bed was clean, but the shampoos etc were covered were some kind of old slime, the Ramada directory was covered with mildew […] -- just a few nasty things in there. I'll have to say -- it had the best shower of any hotel I've ever been in -- and I travel on business a bit. The people were nice there -- just not a very nice environment -- in a non-descript area of Parkville/Towson. If it's cheap (my rate was pretty good) -- and you can handle the above -- you might want to do it. Mehr

The loby bathroom was disgusting! The room was old, dirty. Nasty!! Breakfasts was to start at 6:30, NO BREAKFASTS. I had a 7:00 meeting till 11:00 and was starving. I can't believe this place is a Ramada!!

I selected the Towson Ramada because of its location and price. The Towson Ramada met my expectations in these two areas. The facility should put Ramada to shame. Obviously an old structure, the Towson Ramada showed its age. The walls were a dingy yellow/tan and were uneven with many years of repairs. The sink had no stopper (fun for shaving!) and […] looked dirty. Not the surface dirt like someone forgot to wipe it off. Instead, the fixtures were worn, the sink discolored, the overflow drain filled with black crud. The sink just gave the appearance of deep-down overuse and filth. The shower provided plenty of hot water but, again, it appeared to be old and worn out. The shower curtain rod sagged, the spigot stuck out without a cover and the wall behind it was broken. The lighting was dim, making the yellow/tan color even dingier looking. Whoever made the bed had no idea how to do so. Every night, I had to remake the bed -- the mattress sheet (fitted, but not to this mattress) was loose and exposed the bare mattress. Again, like the bathroom, the bed appeared to be overly old and deep-down dirty. Overall, I was appalled by the condition of the room. I expected more of Ramada. Mehr

I was surprised Ramada places their name on this establishment. No elevator, business station is an old computer in the lobby with no privacy, tub surround in the guest room was heavily stained, room was not clean, floor light adjacent to desk would not shut off, not enough electrical outlets for appliances and lights in guest room, could not adjust […] temperature in guest room refrigerator (froze cans of beer!). Additionally, the complimentary breakfast is not available until 6:30 am. This is too late for us early starters. Should be 6:00am or at least have coffee available. I won't stay here again. Mehr

This hotel is desperate need of a renovation. Starting with when you first walk into the lobby, the front desk woman was anything but friendly. The rooms face outward , which I was not expecting, the door was hard to close, the pool was outside with brownish/green water covered up, the "fitness facility" was a treadmill, 2 ellipticals and what resembled […] a bowflex, the curtains had mildew and spots of brown sludge on it, the "continental breakfast" was in the down stairs restaurant, which smelled so terrible, you didnt want to eat anything, I could go on. Basically, unless you have some relatives you dont like and need to put em up in a hotel, stay far far away from here. Mehr

The hotel is desperately in need of rehab. The paint in the bathroom was peeling, the tub did not drain, there was mildew in the room and the entire hotel's furnishings are worn and dated. I do not recommend this hotel.

The room smelled bad as if the carpet had once been very wet and dried out. Other than that, ok. Convenient and the price was ok.

Rooms bathroom could have used a good bleach and ajax cleaning. Continental breakfast didnt include bagels or croissants. Had a nice karaoke set-up if you could get pass the overwhelming stench of some type of cheese or bootie odor.

This is not my 1st time staying at this hotel. However this is the 1st time I stayed when it was raining. The stone tile walkway and stairs were very hazardous as they were slippery when wet. I brought it to the attention of the front desk and he was going to see what he could do. It didn't seem to be an urgent issue to the employee. I would think the […] employees would be aware of this problem since Maryland rains and has humidity issues that would keep the stone tiles wet on a regular basis. Mehr
