The other reviews must be based on previous management. The current owner/manager, Roy, and his wife have done a great job of re-decorating. They are also both very friendly and helpful! I would definitely stay here the next time I am in San Jose.

Not worth the money. First of all, when i check-in, i check in at 130am. Ask for a late check out and they said they could give 12pm. After we got in the room, someone came knocking in asking about moving a vehicle. The parking lot at this location is very small and i guess someone was blocking someone else car. Marginal hotel, no wi-fi in my room, had to go to Starbucks to check emails. Free breakfast?? No milk, no juice, no fruit, just coffee and danish. Overall, very dissappointing. Furniture was old and worn out. Bedding was clean but beds looked very untidy. Not coming back here.

My stay at this motel was the worst I have had in my life. From the outside it looks like just another motel. We get in the room and the door looks like it had been broken in before which is the first part that scared us. The walls were dirty, the two bed lamps were broken and there was a rip in the shower curtain. When we finally got to going to bed […] I noticed there was a window open at the back of the room. There was a sliding glass window that a person could easily climb through and it would not close all the way. We should have realized that the undated notice on the receptionist counter was a sign to not stay there. Notice stated cameras had been installed due to many police calls to the property. Once we were in the room & locked the door, noticed half of the door jam was torn off - by police breaking in ? I took a sleeping pill so I could sleep & not worry […] - boyfriend said he was up all night due to noise next door & outside. We do NOT feel this place is up to HOTELS.com standards. Stayed here 5 nights while family member was in hospital. Room was large, bed comfortable and the refrigerator was a plus (allowed to use microwave in office). Toiletries were bare minimum and towels were pretty thin. Houskeeping was minimal--had not vacuumed under beds for a while nor behind bathroom door for a couple of days. Breakfast consisted of coffee, oj, cereal with whole milk and packaged pastries (this is why fridge was nice) and had to take back to room. Even though I had a non-smoking room, it seemed everyone else was smoking in doorways. I had to ask a smoker to move off the stairs to get to my room! Guess he thought it was his personal lounge area. So I walked through a cloud of smoke to and from my room daily. Location was close to freeways. Parking plentiful. Staff was nice. Mehr

Upon arrival the man who checked us in didn't say a word except to tell us we were in room 42, we checked in around 11 pm, I looked over and noticed the spot for the continental breakfast was still dirty from the morning. Once we were in our room we noticed the sink had dried stuff in it paper possibly and it didn't drain well. The bed we slept in was […] comfortable though we slept through the night. In the morning I noticed the bathtub was slightly lower then the bathroom floor, this made for a dangerous in and out. My husband placed his hand in something on the nightstand next to his bed. Upon further investigation we realized it was LUBE! We immediatley washed up and checked out. The man at the counter didn't know what lube was and all we got was a sorry excuse of an apology. I wanted breakfast wireless internet and coffee in the room. The wireless internet worked only part of the time they gave me a coffee maker for the room then after one day didn't have the right coffee for it. The office was so filthy I wouldn't eat breakfast or have coffee there.

The picture doesn't quite give you the whole view. The trailer park behind the motel will make you think twice. But, the rooms were Clean, the furnishing is older and there is Wifi. The motel is on a expressway(lots of noise). I made this choice because it was very close to my destination

The front desk staff were very helpful and very nice and to be honest we arrived execting the worse based on the rating of 2 out of 5. The weekend was FINE for what we needed - just a place to sleep, but I do understand why their rating was so low: Even though we made the reservation for 5 in the room, there was no rollaway or cot we could use. The […] hot tub was cold. There were only three towels (for five people) in our bathroom and they did not have more. After the first day, our tiny bar of soap was not replenished and when we went to get more the front desk door was locked. The view out our window was a side yard with all the broken TV's and mirrors from other rooms. We called it the TV graveyard. The coffee maker did not work properly at breakfast, but the gentleman at the front desk was very helpful and helped me pour the coffee into my cup. My room was not "dirty" but there were stains on the carpet and one head board was not even attached to the wall. Furniture was all banged up and looked dreadful, however, the bathroom was good with new tile in the shower and granite counter top. But you get what you pay for!

I read some bad reviews about this hotel online, but was skeptical about them - until I stayed there. Unfortunately, the bad reviews were quite accurate, and the one good review seemed to be an attempt to whitewash the condition of the hotel. Biggest complaints: 1) Some kind of food or similar crap flung on the walls and ceiling, obviously there a […] long time without being cleaned. 2) Furniture was really shabby - like it needed to be replaced 5+ years ago. 3) Carpet wasn't vacuumed during my 3-night stay. I stepped on something in the middle of the floor on the first night. It was still there when I checked out. 4) Toilet paper roll was ripped off the wall of the bathroom. Had already been repaired once, but torn off a second time. 5) I reported the problems to management upon checkout. They didn't care and actually seemed a bit hostile. Truth is, I'm not that picky, but this is definitely the worst hotel room I've ever stayed in. I was only trying to save money. Next time, I'll spend a bit more and get something better. Mehr
