Wir hatten diese Motel als Zwischenstop auf unserer Rundreise gebucht. Es ist im großen und ganzen OK, die Zimmer sind mit dem üblichen Standard eingerichtet und das Frühstück entsprach dem Ansprüchen an ein tüpisches Americanisches Frühstück im Motel. Leider wurde ab 9:30 mit Ende der Frühstückszeit schlagartig der Fernseher abgestellt und das Personal […] begann mit dem Abreumen der Auslagen. Die Zimmer waren sauber, wenn man einmal davon absieht das die Stuhllehnen und die Ablagen der Nachttische und des Sideboards klebrig waren. Um zur Cannery Row und der Warf zu gelangen ist man aber auf das Auto angewiesen da es zu Fuss zu weit ist. Trotzdem können wir das Motel als Zwischestation mit Abstrichen weiterempfehlen. Mehr

we stayed overnight in the Quality Inn and enjoyed very much the indoor pool and Spa. Being a family of four, kids in the age of 16 and 12 years old, we found a big room with lots of space, nice furniture and a big bathroom. Everything was nice and clean. Was great. Comfortable relaxing. Had all the amenities I would expect.

Web site showed good sized room with fireplace. Which is what I thought I'd booked. We had to pay an additional $50 for that room. Pretty disappointing. Indoor pool was extremely chlorinated; not sure if that's normal, but my son's eyes were burning for hours after having swam for maybe 30 minutes. Otherwise, its a nice place.

We couldn't have been more pleased with our stay at The Quality Inn. The location was great. Close to shopping and the Wharf. The fireplace was a nice touch as well. Service was great all the way around. Even the continental breakfast was great, with a variety of options including biscuits and gravy. Definately stay there again.

The hotel room was fine, clean and comfortable. The TV could have featured a few more channels but all in all it was ok. I was very disappointed with the free breakfast, however. The staff did a very bad job of clearing tables so each one was dirty and there were no carts or dumpsters for those wishing to clear their own tables. Net net, not a place […] to sit without doing your own wiping off and moving plates onto other tables! Bad job also replenishing the food. Staff did not seem to notice when food was out and had to ask for more. The food selection was so-so, what you'd expect I guess from being free. Mehr

Staff was great and breakfast was stocked even at the end of the rush. The negative about our visit was the stiffness of the bed. It left both myself and my boyfriend with kinks in our neck and sore backs. For the quality of sleep you hope to get on vacation, it is worth the money to stay at a better hotel with more comfortable beds.

While this hotel isn't 4 stars it is clean, convenient location and perfect for the amount I paid. My husband, daughter and I went to Monterey to visit the Aquarium for his birthday and decided at the last minute to stay in Monterey. I would recommend this hotel as a nice place to stay, but not expect luxuary. The service is great and the rooms are good for the price. I would stay again no problem.

My family and I stayed here 2 nights. Hotel is minutes from the wharf and other activities. Breakfast was the normal continental breakfast which was perfect. Our room came with a fridge and microwave which was a nice surprise. The biggest feature my family felt was the indoor pool and spa. My 2yr old daughter loved the pool. We were going to stay in […] one of the fancy hotels right on the water but picked this hotel due to the indoor pool, great choice a 1/3 of the cost. The only down fall is being on the bottom floor we could hear others walking and flushing the toilet above us. I would stay here again without hesitation. Mehr

All in all great deal! Could improve on breakfast but would still recommend:)

Shower water never even got lukewarm after trying for 10-15 minutes. Finally gave up. Other than that, everything was fine.

Its a nice and clean hotel. My kids loved the indoor pool. The employees were nice but we felt they didn't do anymore beyond their duties. I'm satisfied with the Hotel.

This place was reasonably inexpensive for Monterey. The additional deciding factor for me was the indoor pool. My kids loved it. The quality of the room was about what I expected. The beds were of reasonable size & quality. Free wi-fi was a plus (but doesn't every hotel offer this these days?) Included breakfast was OK. The bathroom was good. But the […] closet door was completely off it's track and fell down without anyone near it (fortunately). When I informed the front desk of this in the morning, they didn't seem very concerned. But then when I mentioned that it fell within a couple inches of my laptop and they could have been responsible for paying to replace it, suddenly she seemed to wake up. Overall, I think this hotel is a good choice if you want access to an indoor pool. Otherwise, there are probably better options for the money. Mehr

Got one of the king bed rooms on the first floor. The staff was courteous and the room was clean. Room had a little fridge which was nice, TV and towels were sub-par though. The pool was heavily chlorinated but I guess that's better than having a dirty pool, and their pool towels are very small. Continental breakfast was pretty good, they had a waffle […] maker. Budget friendly, short cab ride away from the Wharf and Cannery Row. Very noisy! Nothing to disturbing, but the footsteps of other guests walking to the breakfast bar will begin at 6 AM. But Monterey won't allow you to stay in your room for too long anyway!

Nice room and all appliances worked. Great pool and hot tub...clean and working. Good breakfasts too. I will stay there again.

Our family really enjoyed our stay at the Quality Inn. It was us and our four small children in one room with two queen beds and there was more then enough room to feel comfortable. We were able to enjoy the in room fire place, something we do not have in our own home, which the children thought was really neat. The complimentary breakfast was very […] filling and offered something for everyones taste. The staff was very friendly and readily available for our various needs. But the highlight for our family would probably have to be the indoor heated pool and spa....all around it was a wonderful stay. Mehr

Very family friendly as was apparent each morning at the breakfast room and jacuzzi at night. Not very sound proof ceilings but we had a easy enough time falling asleep. In walking distance to shopping, restaurants and groceries and easy access to get to the Wharf and Cannery Row. This hotel was simple and a good price.

Generally I'm satisfied, however, the room location being the next door from the office made it very noisy. Breakfast room is too small for that many customers. Either you have to get early to have a breakfast or take your food to your room.

One of many hotels on Munras Avenue in Monterey, the Quality Inn turned out to be the right one for the family trip to Monterey. It's located closer to Del Monte mall than the wharf or Cannery Row, but Monterey is a small town so none of the sights are that far away. The rates were reasonable for the area. Our room was fine though the bathroom was a bit cramped as others have mentioned. It was furnished with a microwave and mini fridge. Breakfast was nothing special -- pastries, bread for toasting, cereals, fruit, biscuits and gravy, milk, coffee, and juices--except for the make-it-yourself waffles. One of the best aspects of this hotel is that it features an indoor pool and jacuzzi (which is shared with the Clarion next door). It's obviously a salt water pool and it's HEATED quite nicely. We all enjoyed swimming in the pool so much we swam each day we were there. We had a pleasant stay and would return. Mehr

Only stayed for one night so I wasn't expecting much. Room was pretty clean. Quiet until about 8am. After that you can here everyone outside. Front desk was helpful.

Room is spacious enough to spend the night in, although the bathrooms are inconveniently cramped! The toilet and tub and the space for the door to swing are so tight that you can't close the door while sitting down - you have to almost walk into your tub before you can close the door behind you. It's remarkably small. The bathroom feels less insulated […] than the rest of the room, and is freezing cold when it's cold outside. Bathroom aside, the bedroom is fine, close to the cars, the breakfast room has an assortment of cereals, muffins, and three hot items (pre-made waffles, biscuits, gravy). Mehr

Nice location. Near where we wanted to be anyway. However . . The toilet was broken. It took forever to get hot water to come out the taps. Breakfast was free, but you sometimes you get what you pay for (e.g. pretty weak). Staff were helpful and pleasant.

The hotel is a great small, affordable, conveniently located hotel about a mile from downtown monterey. The indoor pool and continental complimentary breakfast are great. My one disappointment was the t.v. access. There were only 28 channels and there were no directions on how to access movies or cable channels. Clean, perfectly fine budget motel. Indoor pool is huge plus -- even though it was kind of murky and salty, my kids spent hours in it! The breakfast room is well-managed: clean, well-stocked.

Reasonable priced and 5 min from warf. Room was older but kept up well and bathroom was updated. Had an older tv. Both days we stayed the free breakfast was hard boiled eggs, fresh waffels, muffins, cereal, bisquits and gravy, and juice coffee and water. Staff was nice and helpful. They had this great waffle maker in the breakfast room. Bring some stawberries and really top it off. We brought our bikes. It is very close to the coast trail. The ride back up the hill is a workout.

The staff is delightful and responded to our needs. The breakfast is great and the hours are very reasonable that it isoffered. Rooms need a little updating, more outlets would be a plus. Some furniture is too large for the space available, a little difficult getting around the dresser to the bathroom.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. The room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The breakfast had lots of good options - eggs, cereal, muffins, waffle, coffee, tea, juice and real plates and silverware (was a surprise). Fast wireless internet. TV was CRT but worked. The only problem was the walls are thin so you if you have noisy neighbors good luck […] getting any sleep. Location is great. There is a shopping center/mall right down the street that has plenty of restaurants and stores (even whole foods, rite aid and a cinema). Driving to Cannery row took maybe 5 minutes and less for downtown and fisherman's wharf. Good hotel for the price in Monterey central. Mehr
