Upon arrival at the hotel, I was apprehensive about leaving my vehicle. The area was not well lit and there were several individuals hanging around the parking lot who were clearly not residents of the hotel. It appears that the hotel is in various stages of repair. As I approached the crowded front desk the clerk was clearly intimidated by the number […] of customers. She compensated for this with rudeness and placing blame on the previous clerk. Check-in was very painful because the reservation I made online did not match what rooms the clerk had available. As I entered my room the smell reminded me of an all night poker game consisting of cats and dogs who smoked and releived themselves in the room. During breakfast I witnessed an emplyee bring in eggs but they never made it to the serving line. When questioned about the eggs she stated she never brought any in. Mehr

Really enjoyed stay,will stay again when in area

The maintenance man went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable.He fixed our air condition unit by quickly replacing it with a new one.He also promptly replaced the missing keyhole.That man desrves a raise or a promotion he was very professional,kind and diligent,Please award him appropriately,Sincerely,Mrs.Cavazos.

It is an OK place to stay for the price. Breakfast could be better, no oatmeal or meat, they did have waffles. I would stay there again. The only thing I did not like was location, too far from everything, its kinda by its self. The only thing there is, is one mexican restaurant across the street good food and reasonably price but other than that you […] have to drive in town for anything else. Mehr

Wi-Fi is terrible, no signal, corridor stinks like smoke, Continental Breakfast is terrible, just frozen waffles, no syrup, no milk for Cereal, and lady turn off tv, she is rude, to run us off at 9:00, Breakfast was nothing but bread and butter, ****Tedffible**** I'm not coming back, no way!

Took forever to check in, the owner was neither competent nor friendly. Apparently they also have free drink vouchers, I received none nor was I told of them (learned it from a different clerk). My key stopped working on the second night, that was another 30 minutes since the clerk was very slow. Just what I wanted to do after being out all day, was […] stand at the front desk waiting for them to correct a problem that never should have existed. The room was clean, and even though it was close to the airport, I never heard the sound of planes. Overall it was ok, I would probably spend a little more next time to stay at a nicer place though. The hallways remind me of the shining movie. It has what a basic hotel should have, even if it was not "top class" it was good for the trip for the days we as a group used it for. If you just need a get a way place and aren't looking for a "special high dollar" place this is it. This is the second time we have stayed at this hotel. We thought we would give it a 2nd try since it showed it had been remodeled. However, the service was less than good. Our room was not cleaned the 2nd night we stayed. The line at the front desk was always long making it impossible to get towels, information or even drinks or the drink tickets they […] market. Also, the pool is not heated so even though part of the pool is indoors, it is too cold even in the spring time. And lastly, the hotel is kid friendly, but I would not stay with such again. There are a lot of prying eyes and even a spouse of a staff member making weird conversation with my 8 year old daughter. We won't be staying here again. Mehr

The price was certainly right! Hotel is not in great shape, but there is evidence that an update is underway. Our room was nice though, bed not the best but tolerable. Amazingly quiet since full every night we were there! We would stay there again.

It's an old hotel. However its priced like it. It's clean enough and does the job. I will stay again.

I had been there for 1 night only but very like so. i had nice room close to the pool. they got gym and dinner with real cheap prices. I recommend to any seaman who need to stay for couple days or so.it is midway to airport(15min) and real close to the Corpus Christi Oil terminal.Also it is not far away from center of the city,if you want enjoy party […] and nice music at night. THE HOTEL IS IN A VERY SEEDY AREA. THE UPKEEP NEEDS A LOT OF IMPROVEMENT TOO!!! WE HAD ROACHES IN OUR ROOM AND A FEW OTHER INCONVIENCES TOO. THE STAFF ARE FRIENDLY AND TRY TO BE HELPFUL, IT'S MANAGEMENT THAT IS VERY LACKING. WOULD NOT GO BACK...

The pool is really cool, and the rooms were a nice size. This hotel is a great value. The service in the hotel was great, especially the front desk. However, the service in the restaurant was really bad. The waitress wouldn't acknowledge us and rolled her eyes when we walked in. I would stay here again, but won't count on the restaurant next time.

No hot water for showers over two days.

For the reduced price found it was not too bad but the hotel is shabby. They have the cool kitsch of the indoor/outdoor pool and that's about all they have going for them. We noticed aged signs asking that the mess be excused as they were renovating. The signs appeared to be as old as the last renovation which I would suspect as having taken place somewhere […] around 1975. We stayed over a number of days including 2 week days and saw no evidence of renovation. Just shabby and run down with shabby and run down old signs claiming renovations in progress . The staff was a mix of excessively rude or adequate enough. None friendly or helpful. Various concerns were reported with a promise of repair but they were never addressed. The room safe was never looked at and I ended up with a firearm in possession to tourist attractions and beaches lest it be left unsecured to be found by the next person they accidentally assigned to our room (that happened twice).I guess it's a good thing we came to play at the beach and didn't count on the hotel services being a focal point. I would go back but only to have a good laugh at the old signs claiming renovations that still weren't taking place. Mehr

The room temperature was hot warm but expected due to the extreme heat but after dark was not comfortable at all - it was very hot in the room. When using the commode, the water pressure was horrible so it had to be flushed several times to flush all the way. Aside from that & the location it wasn't bad.

My family and I arrived at the Travelodge....The lady in the front desk made it clear she was there to flirt with the truck drivers that were arriving since there was a bar& grill right next to the front desk....After 15-20 minutes of her finishing talking to the guys she finally turned around and checked us in....she provided 2 tickets for complimentary […] drinks cokes,water or a beer...me and my husband sat there for around 25 min to receive a coke and a water...wait the best part is still to come we got to our room in the left side of the building and the room smelled like a sewer it was gross and the ventilation in the bathroom did not work at all..i was ignoring the smell but my kids couldn't bare it so my oldest daughter who is 21 went to complain and to see if they could switch us room a manager came in and sprayed the room w/ febreeze....ughh...the manager wanted to move us to a smaller room for kids we said no! we were five and they wanted to put us in two twin beds yea right any ways we stayed with the room. the bathroom clogged at night and they had no plungers we had to be like that till 10 am next morning...the pool was nice the outdoor/indoor feature but around 6 or 7 people would start drinking in the pool and acting crazy by around 9 or 10 people were coming out of the bar and grill which was situated in front of the pool all buzzed and drunk....the place of the hotel is like sorrounded by empty buildings and one corner taco shop...we had to drive around 6-9 miles for a grocery store or food restaurants...the maids cleaned the rooms at their own time why by the way never left towels in the rooms.....When going to the front desk the lady siting in the chairs filing her nails and chewing gum would always be like.."Alright, alright i let the manager know.."in a get the hell outta tone of voice....I mean you get what you pay for....I would recommend other hotels the service was so bad that they offered me next time 50% off all my stay which, I will not do a Mehr

yes for the hype i receive on vacationing in corpus christi this hotel was great will be using it for any travel too corpus.the staff excellent,the pool has a indoor/outdoor pool that connects was a little crowded at the time but the heat will do that.you could see the refinery as you got off the interstate,but it wasn,t bad for the area.the bar/grill […] on the premises was great good food,and overall a excellent stay. The hotel seems to be going through some renovations but for the price, it is a great deal. You get a free breakfast every morning, and its small but good enough for anyone. The staff is very friendly and the rooms are not back. I would definitely stay there again...

The hotel appears to be abandoned and up and running with a few remodeled rooms. As we entered the hotel the smell was not very pleasant. The hallways have a bad stench of chemicals where they tried to clean the carpet but to no success. The room was not too bad because it seemed to be remodeled but it didn't seem clean. the beds were smaller than a full size! i asked if they had 2 queens they weren't sure. then they had said the king size were like queens???

Good hotel

Hotel is a little run down and could use some renovations but overall you get what you pay for. I liked the bar and game room.

When we first arrived the placed didnt seem so nice, as we enter and were greeted by great service I started to enjoy the place. However as I walked to my rooms I could smell the cigerette odor from the night before, I new they had a bar or something like that but didnt expect the smell to be all over the place. The room had minor defects on the wall, […] but thats it. The room was clean and cold ac worked perfect. However when i turned the AC off, i could smell the cigarette odor. The price was great for two beds. The stay was ok since it was a leisure trip but i wont advice this hotel for a family vacation. I will only stay here if i come solo.. Mehr

The service from the hotel staff was fine, but the hotel needs to be deep cleaned to improve it's overall attractiveness. Our bath tub was very dirty and the halls need to be vaccumed. If the new management focuses on cleaning, they would be off to a good start. Please do a better job of cleaning. The price of the hotel and the location were awesome. It doesn't look like much, but the hotel is clean. The halls kinda stink, but the rooms don't, so we didn't really care. There was soap and shampoo, toilet paper, towels, all that jazz. Neighbors weren't really noisy. The chicks at the front desk were nice. Continental breakfast, they said, was from six to nine, but we got down there at like 8:47 and […] there was totally still food, and it was pretty well stocked. You know how sometimes hotels like to end breakfast early? Yeah, not these guys. I liked them. Totally would stay again. Oh! And they're like two seconds away from I-37, so they're suuuuper conveniently located. Mehr

Upon arriving at the hotel, the halls smelled moldy and were not clean. The toilet in the room did not flush properly. The room, however, was very clean and was comfortable. One thing that the room did need was to have easy access to an iron and ironing board. I don't see the need to ask for the use of one if one should be in the room.

My husband spent the entire night taking out small frogs. For the first hour we were there the room didn't have any running water. Hallways were super dark n smelled like cigarette smoke. The bed mattres was warped down the middle. Next to the a/c the carpet was soaking wet with a small stinge to it.

The price for this hotel was not cheap, but the hotel was cheap, dirty and old. I will not stay here again and will not recommend it to anyone and also I will never make another reservation without seeing the hotel first. I was not familiar with the location and did not feel safe once there. The linens were not cleaned, pubic hairs and stains on them, […] the cleaning crew mus have just sraighten the bed without changing the linens, this was the most awful experience I have ever had. The hotel itself was rundown and the rooms werent clean. It smelled like smoke and all the walls were dirty. When we went to get in our bed there was a chip under the fold by the pillows. The pool area smelt horrible and it was dirty. The toilet didn't flush good and it took forever to fill up and with a child potty training its important. Would not […] recommend it to anyone!!!! We got there early and got our room we had made a mistake with our room and they fixed it for us. No questions asked it was a wonderful stay. The kids had a blast in the pool it was clean.
