Carriage House Inn - Calgary

Hotel liegt nicht im Stadtzenrum, dafür sind Supermärkte gleich um die Ecke, Starbucks auch. Das Hotel ist schon alt, Gänge und Räume sehr duster. Zum Übernachten für ein oder 2 Nächte ist es aber okay

Für ein Hotel außerhalb Downtown sehr gut ausgestattet. Wesentliche Einkaufsmöglichkeiten in den direkt umliegenden Service Plaza's. Gute Qualität der Betten, gerade wenn man mehrere Nächte verbringen möchte. 2km entfernt befindet sich die Calgary City Train, um nach Downtown zu kommen. Man muss also nicht umbedingt alles mit dem Auto erledigen.

We stayed overnight in one of the suites with two double beds. Two adults and three kids. We slept two to a bed and then asked for a crib for the youngest. The staff here were excellent, but they didn't have much to work with. The room was tiny and once the crib was in there, we could barely walk. The crib was also on it's last legs and probably very […] unsafe. We asked for extra bedding and were given one thin 3x2 blanket. The tv was not hooked up properly and the screen was very fuzzy. Furniture was worn out though the bedding was in good condition. No bathtub, just a stand up shower. The front desk staff were wonderful though. They even gave us complimentary cinnamon buns - my guess is they felt sorry for the worn out mom dragging three worn out kids in for the night! But due to the size of the actual rooms, I doubt we will be staying again. Mehr

Hotel staff not friendly, construction at entrance not noted on website or when booking, room service was served barely warm, and order was wrong, also Bathroom fan did not work.

Shower head needs to be changed. Shower sucked

The first room I got...the toilet wouldn't flush. I was then moved to the next room. I could not have a much needed nap from a long drive because the renovation crew was right outside my window. I was close to the location I needed to be but was not happy with my stay.

My wife and I very much enjoyed our stay at the Carriage House Inn. The room was great and the bed was very comfortable. We dined that night at the restaurant and thought the prices were very reasonable and the food was great. Huge portions. However we had the breakfast buffet the next morning without checking it out first ... not very impressive at […] all. I would order from the menu next time... Mehr

No better than a lower rated hotel down the street. Room needed renovating. Couldn't get in to the closet as beds took up most of the room. Not worth the money.

When ever we come to Calgary I always stay at The Carriage House Inn, we have never been disappointed. Great location if you like to shop!

Excellent hotel, great service, fantastic value! Great breakfast at the restourant, friendly staff and great service. Parking very handy, free as the WIFI. Would go back again!

The hotel was chosen because it was pet friendly. After checking in, the hotel staff came over with a doggie gift, a list of local dog parks, vets, and dog sitters. The hotel was not told that we had pets, even after confirming it with hotels.com, but they where happy to get us a room that was not usually reserved for pets.

The hotel is beautiful. Restaurants were great. We felt our room was a bit cold and could not turn up the heat. Ask at the reception. They did say someone would be up to look at it. If they did come in when we were not there, we did not feel any difference. The room was too cool at all times.

Hi our stay a this hotel was excelent,we were happy with everthing and for sure wi will recommend to our friends.

Staff was very friendly and helpful. For price paid this Inn was great value compared to other hotels. Beds and linens were very nice. Bathroom was modern but were a bit tight to move in. Otherwise, my next visit to Calgary, I would definitely choose this Inn. Hotel was under construction on the outside but you never heard any noise. G

We were skeptical that our stay at the Carriage House Inn in Calgary wouldn't be great as the whole place is under construction for improvements, but found out it was to our advantage. The staff were very friendly and accommodating, there wasn't a whole bunch of people crowding the pool or the breakfast room in the morning and our stay was quite pleasant. […] We were on the 6th floor and away from any construction noise - didn't hear a thing really until we were down in the parking lot. The staff are always friendly and helpful, the beds are utterly FANTASTIC. The room could have used a bit more attention to cleaning on the floors and in the bathroom, though. The floors running along the wall were dirty, and the shower had someone else's soap splatters on it. Breakfast was very good. All in all, my favorite place to stay in Calgar […] y. Mehr

I really liked staying at this hotel. I found that there was just one problem. Their air conditioning system is old-school. There have one vent right above the window and it's mostly covered by the curtain hardware. It was hot outside while I was staying there, so the room was hot and stale feeling as there was no circulation. The window does open, […] but it just brought in hot air due to the weather. I eventually had to get a fan brought up to me. Even in the dead of winter when it's -30 outside, I still like having air circulation in my room. Other than that, I really enjoyed my stay. The parakeets (budgies) in the lobby is a great touch. I have parakeets so I felt right at home. I will definitely stay here again. Great place!!, but this time I'll request a fan before I check in or I'll bring my own. =) Mehr

I do not know Calgary well but I saw this deal on Hotels.com and checked it out. The hotel was under renovations but you could not even tell during the stay. The rooms were clean and the beds were really comfortable. I would totally stay here again. Ps - they gave complimentary cookies. So delicious

The hotel was not in the best location and it was over priced for what it provided. I found the resturant food to be poor and over priced also. I would recommend staying somewhere else.

It was everything I wanted and price was great and the restaurant was excellent for breakfast

Very satisfied with my stay at this hotel.

Nice hotel, beautifully decorated, comfortable beds with a luxury feel however the rooms were supper small. Good deal for the price! Would stay here again.

Room no comfort.

We have been staying at the Carriag House for years, although we had not been to Calgary in quite some time. Since then, the Carriage House has supposedly gone through a $3 mill upgrade. The hotel is very nice and the staff is absolutely fabulous - we recognize people who have worked there for 30 years or more, so the Hotel must treat and pay them well! […] My only concern is that the rooms are soooo small now! Plus, I would have had to upgrade my room to the tune of $20 more per night if I wanted a bath tub as well as a shower! ... a bit ridiculous, no? Mehr

The hotel write up makes the hotels seem a lot more then it really is. The hotel is older then I expected and when you first pull up you are confused as to the rating as the outside look it not that appealing. The hotel inside is clean but tired looking. The service centre is small cubicle with one computer that was not functioning and the toilet in […] my room was not working. I may or may not stay here again, I would not choose it for a pleasure but may in a pinch for business it was not worth the money they are charging Mehr

we arrived and were treated with respect. The best waitress in the dinning room was Ashley. We were traveling after recently retiring and not aware of the customs and she helped us through our unknowledgeable questions with grace. She was very attentive to her customers and always welcomed everyone with a smile and made sure that they knew what they […] were getting and on time. We had a problem with the room next to ours with partying going on until 3am and when we called to front desk, the house security was quick to respond and the situation was quickly taken care of. I would recomed this hotel to anyone and would go back myself if we ever had the opportunity. The hotel was conveniently situated in a perfect location for food, shopping, and tourism amenities. Mehr
