Zimmer (Nr.111) total verdreckt. Fußboden (Teppich) stark verschmutzt mit Haaren und sonstigen Ablagerungen (Brösel, millimeterdicke Staubschicht). Im Bett fremde Haare, kleine Blutflecken. Die Tapete löste sich an den Überlappungen von der Wand. Überall an diesen Kanten schwarze Flecken. Im Bad Schimmel an der Decke. Das Abwasser stieg aus dem Waschbecken […] hoch. Dies alles wurde noch übertrumpft von einem ekligen, penetranten und süßlichen Geruch, der in der Luft lag. Bei Recherchen im Internet, woran dies liegen kann, auf "Bettwanzen" gestoßen - auch wenn ich keine gesehen habe - dafür spricht auch der seltsame Geruch). Es war so widerlich, daß ich um ein anderes Zimmer bat. Aber auch dort nur geringe Verbesserungen. Der Geruch war laut Rezeptionist angeblich nur das Mittel, das zur Desinfektion und Parasitenbekämpfung eingesetzt wurde. Das Pärchen aus dem Nachbarzimmer hat auch das Hotel fluchtartig verlassen, nachdem dort das Wasser im Waschbecken gar nicht mehr abfloß (dafür kam es bei mir an). Rezeptionist war nur auf Drängen bemüht, mehr aber auch nicht. Es war kein anderes Zimmer mehr frei, so verließ ich das Motel. Achtung: Nicht buchen! Es gibt genug Alternativen im näheren Umkreis. Das einzig Positive am Hotel ist seine Lage und die Umgebung. Das Hotelzimmer ist dreckig, bietet nur das Notwendigste und ist für den gezahlten Preis nicht akzeptabel. Das rechtfertigt auch die gute Lage nicht. Ein gewisses Maß an Sauberkeit sollte vorausgesetzt werden können. Die Verkehrsanbindung an die öffentlichen Verkehsmittel ist sehr gut.

Für San Francisco war der Preis mehr als o.k. Es waren genügend Parkplätze vorhanden, die für einen etwas größen Van ( wir hatten hinten 3 Sitzbänke!) jedoch recht eng waren. Für normale Pkw´s waren die Parkplätze geeignet. Das Frühstück war jedoch mehr als beschaulich. Erst auf Nachfrage wurde es nachgefüllt. Wir hatten das Days Inn vor allem wegen des kostenlosen Parkens ausgewählt und Parkplätze waren ausreichend vorhanden. Die Zimmer sind kompakt, komfortabel, sauber und ruhig, kein Verkehrslärm zu hören. Bad sehr klein und die Toilettenspülung kann man auch mal schnell selbst reparieren :-)) Service am Empfang läßt zu wünschen übrig. Frühstück - wenn […] man pünktlich um 08.00 Uhr da war - bestand aus Kaffee, Saft, süßen Teilchen und Bananen. Nachgefüllt wurde nicht. Wer zu spät kam hatte halt Pech. Frühstücken selbst war in der kleinen Lobby nicht möglich aber dazu kann man ja aufs Zimmer gehen. Trotz allem stimmt das Preis-/Leistungsverhältnis; viele Sehens-würdigkeiten (Marina, Presidio, Golden Gate Bridge, Lombard St, Fishermans Wharf) sind leicht zu Fuß oder per Bus zu erreichen. Mehr

lage ist gut für spaziergänge bis zur golden gate und bis zum hafen oder pier 39, großer vorteil ist der parkplatz. leider war das frühstück oft nicht ausgelegt. ist zwar nur eine banane und ein muffin und kaffee aber selbst das fehlte zum teil.

Das Zimmer war ziemlich heruntergekommen, aber für einen Tag und wenig Ansprüche ist es OK. Ich würde es jedoch nicht mehr buchen. Das Personal was auch nicht sehr zuvorkommend.

Das Hotel war sauber und ordentlich, man sollte aber kein Deluxe Hotel erwarten. Der Kaffee der morgens kostenlos angeboten wird ist ok, aber nicht zu vergleichen mit dem deutschen. Leider war der Wi-Fi Zugang manchmal eingeschränkt nutzbar. Es liegt zentral um für SFO bestimme Orte zu besichtigen, z.B. Golden Gate Bridge, Lombard Street oder Alamo […] Square. Mehr

In der Nacht sind Lärmbelästigungen durch angebautes Restaurant unangenehm, sonst sauberes und günstiges Motel.

The hotel was in the perfect location. So many restaurants, wine bars, shops, movie theatre. But the upkeep of the hotel was horrible. Stayed for 4 days total. The second night we found a baby cockroach IN THE BED! Immediately called down to the desk and they said that since it was after 5, the maintenance staff had left for the day and they could not […] get us new sheets/blankets. I thought this was insane. They said they'd clean the room the next day. Out of the 4 days that they stayed, the next day was the only day that the maids came to clean the room, take the trash out etc. Also, there were tiny little microscopic bugs crawling all over the bathroom. On the floors, on the counter, on our toiletries, in the shower. Everywhere. They looked like specs of dirt, but if you look closer, they crawl. We got a great deal with hotels.com on the room so we didnt complain much, and it really was in a wonderful location.... but this hotel definitely needs some work. Mehr

This place is small for starters so parking isn't the best but also the hallways are very narrow. The maids were working in one room and as we were carrying our bags to the room their cart was blocking the hall. The lady stood there starring at me and didnt offer to move or get out of the way or make any attempt to help. When we got to the room it was […] worse!!! It was raining and our room had a water leak! It got on my clothes. The bathroom had water rot. The shower had build up and mildew. The room was very noisy!!! We asked for towels and instead of getting help the guy handed us a key told us to get it our selves. The breakfast is a pre-package danish and if you hit it right maybe a banana. Not to mention when you start the heater in the room it stinks of mildew!!! Never staying there again. Mehr

We had a good time and for the price the hotel was good. Our door didn't shut well and the deadbolt didn't work, but the slide lock at the top of the door was sufficient.

The location was wonderful. Close to nice places to eat and bar, but the room was dirty. There was blood on the lamp shade, the microwave had a disgusting brown stain on the bottom, the bathroom door had a brown stain on the door as if someone smeared something on it and there was a long hair wrapped in the towel. Other than that is was comfortable […] and you get free parking. I would stay here again. Mehr

Don't believe what u see in the pictures rooms look nothing like it.. hotel needs to be remodeled.. really old wall paper peeling.. by is very close to everything else

For this calibre of accomodation, i was very pleased. my room was clean and comfortable, quiet given the fact it is on Lombard Street, nice bathroom and shower, and good tv. all in all, i thought it was very nice.

If traveling on a budget this is a good spot. Park your car and leave it there, you can walk all over the Marina or catch the MUNI #30 a block away that runs past Ghiradelli, Fishermans Warf, through North Beach and China Town to Union Square and the Convention Center.

They were very accommodating and close to all of the attractions we wanted to see. Even though its an older hotel, its still maintained well. Thank you for the stay!

The room was great and I love the microwave & fridge. But best of all, do to my error, I checked out very late and the manager was very kind about it and didn't charge me extra. Thanks!

comfortable room, nice location, but the shower was cold and there were bed bugs.

I stayed here for a Saturday night because I did not want to drive home out of the city. This seemed like the perfect use for this place. Negative reviews have been overstated. The place is a little dumpy, sure, and I would not recommend for families with small children, but there is nothing sinister about the place, as some people would suggest.

Usually Days inn are pretty good and thats why we booked this hotel. The location is good (close to golden gate, lombard street), but the Hotel is VERY unclean and looks very very unsafe. Do not stay here if you are with family or are looking for a decent/safe place to live.

When I arrived in the afternoon my room was ready. I immediately fell in love with the area. Its s good 2.5 mile walk to Golden Gate Bridge and about the same to Fisherman's Wharf just as well Lombard is on a major busline to get to other destinations in the city. There are a lot of restaurant with in walking distance and tourist attraction. I recommend […] this hotel if you enjoy walking out of the way. The Hotel is about what you would expect in and of itself from one of its price and in its location. The rooms were clean and the location was very close to everything my wife and I wanted to see. The lower score comes from the fact that I requested a wake-up call from the staff, and was told that they could do it, but that the rooms had alarm clocks […] for that purpose. I told them I'd like one anyway because hotel alarm clocks were notoriously unreliable. I was told that I would get a wake-up call anyways, but never got one (a cell-phone alarm could be a lifesaver). I would caution anyone planning to stay here to make sure that you have your own means of waking up with you if you needed to wake up at a certain time. Mehr

Just Ok..

After seeing horrible reviews of this hotel, i decided to check it out for myself, not only were the stories of BED BUGS COMPLETELY FALSE, the room was perfect, at a great price, FREE PARKING, FLAT SCREEN TV and the location was central to all that is SF. The neighborhood was SAFE and the GREAT FOOD within a block of my room will make this my MUST STAY […] location on all trips to SF. YOU CAN NOT BEAT THE PRICE and the MGR who I spoke to was helpful and a really nice guy. I have learned that when someone says things are so bad you have trouble believing them, well check it out for yourself, and when I did I found not only the best DEAL in SF for a room but great food without getting in my car. SF Hotels are known to charge 30 a day to park your car , it was FREE here.... I'd give this place 20 stars on a scale of 5.... Mehr

The parking lot doesnt hold enough space for all the guest, we were told "just park whever you want even if its a handicap space...it dont matter" The room was not only questionable about cleanliness, there were beverage rings on the desk, the plug in in the bathroom didnt work, not to mention the fire hazad coming from the other plug ins in the room, […] they had a power strip plugged into a power strip and both were fully loaded. Guest services were well...not there. We requested some extra towels and wash clothes (bc I had used the others to wipe down the room) and were told they had nothing until the morning,and that they would bring some up then...when we had to call bc no one showed up...he said they did not have any to bring. The savings we had from the room was NOT worth the headache and frusteration fo dealing with this place. Mehr

The hotel was in an excellent location. Being that it is located on Lombard Street, it was the perfect opportunity to not worry with driving and parking and take the bus. The room was small and clean, but ideal being the stay was for the purpose of exploring the city. - breakfast provided, but have to eat at reception standing. not much choice of stuff either. - phones in room not working. - rooms poorly maintained. - not value for money.

No laundry facilities as advertised. Only one set of towels on arrival. Requested face clothes, told they didn't have any, and were brought hand towels and told to use them in the shower. Asked for a phone book, (because I wanted to look for another hotel,)and they didn't have one of those either. Requested a wake up call for 6 am. Not only did we not […] get the call, they didn't even show up until after 8 a.m. in the office, so the office was locked and we were unable to get coffee or the continental breakfast, which only consisted of stale danish, coffee, juice and bananas. I will never stay here again. I have learned my lesson. Pay a little more and actually feel comfortable in your room. The carpet was sick. Felt damp and was dirty. The front desk person was not nice nor helpful. The maid left her cart IN FRONT of my door making it difficult to get my luggage in. The iron in the room was broken along with 1 of 2 lamps […] not working. The hotel as a whole smelled bad. Bad place. Pay a little more, it will be worth it to not stay here! Mehr

One of the worst motels I've ever stayed in. Rooms are old and dumpy, there was a disco next door that was so noisy I had to go sleep in my car. Convenient location.

Rooms ok if you do not get the front rooms as they are extremely noisy from street noise and air conditioners are noisy in all rooms. The smell of the manager's family Indian cooking in the morning was hard to take and the breakfast was a joke. Also the manager had a take-it-or leave it manner although he did move us to a better room without penalty. […] Parking free was a bonus. Mehr

My big criticism is that on Monday morning I went to take a shower and within 45 seconds, the hot water was gone and I ended up taking a cold shower.

Days Inn is conveniently located on Lombard Street which is surrounded by neighborhood, specialty restaurants and shops. All restaurants were within walking distance. Behind the Days Inn is a convenient Apple store. A Walgreen's is within a block away. Free parking for hotel guests.

Hotel was clean, comfortable, and in a relatively close location to the Fishermans wharf. Parking was also good, but always full. Plenty of restaurants and clubs around the area.

This hotel was beyond horrible! You know it is bad when your 9 yr old asks if they should wear their flip flops in the shower. There were burn marks in the sheets/comforter. Walls were dirty and wall paper was peeling off the wall. We wanted to switch hotels but there was nothing else available.
