What we saved in daily rate was more than consumed in added water taxi fees as the hotel is not on the main island. Hotel was nice and breakfast better than most, just too far away from the center of action for me.

The wi-fi service was sporadic and the telephone did not work in our room. The desk staff was not helpful with the telephone issue and suggested I use our friends telephone, which I did, but the local call I made cost 9 euros.

This was a nice hotel with a nice restaurant attached and located across from the Lido beach. It's a nice place to stay if you want some quiet away from Venice in the evenings. Lido has some nice shops and restaurants. Downside is that the hotel is quite a hike from the boat dock.

I recently stayed at Hotel Venezia (end of June/beginning of July) with my husband and 15 month old baby. We are so happy that we found this hotel on hotels.com. Hotel Venezia 2000 is on the beach. There are lots of food stands within a couple of blocks, a perfectly acceptable restaurant at the hotel (that has a nice happy hour) and is a quick 10 minute […] walk to the main strip of Lido and the waterbus to Venice. The service we received was excellent. Everyone was kind and welcoming to us. The room was really small...but we weren't there but for sleeping so it was fine. We were glad to get away to Lido after the masses of people in Venice. It's a charming town. This hotel is 15-20 minutes walking from vaporetto station when pulling suitcases through hole-filled sidewalks; if it's hot, it's a challenge. The Venezia2000 has seen it's glory days; there's been an attempt to remodel the rooms, but the rest of the hotel […] very much needs the same.. The breakfast was "the basics" . You will find some o.k. restaurants in downtown Lido; make sure you make reservations at the higher-end ones! Mehr

Short, easy/convenient trip to Venice proper-recommendation to use the "A" bus to the hotel once you arrive to Lido island and buy an unlimited bus pass to access Venice proper and Lido island. Two minor complaints is the bed was hard and the bath was strange-you have to sit to take a shower. Other wise, the hotel was really great and met all our needs […] and an extremely good value for the price. Lido is a very nice, chill place to stay when visiting Venice. Would definitely recommendthis hotel as opposed to staying in Venice proper. Mehr

I was a little nervous about booking the hotel since there were a few comments about the bathrooms and the breakfast not being good. I am happy to say it was the complete opposite. The bathroom was good and spacious and the breakfast was more than adequate. Hotel staff were extremely helpful and friendly. We stayed two nights and enjoyed this hotel. Clean rooms, good breakfast and right across the street for the Adriatic Sea. Enjoyed a morning bike ride as they offer complimentary rentals for an hour. The fact that it is located right by the sea is great, however it is quite a distance from the nearest water taxi station. There is a city bus that comes […] by every 20 minutes so that helped. The room itself is nice with old-fashioned shutters overlooking a garden and the sea. For the price this was a great hotel! Mehr

Decent 3 star, has all the amenities you need, but some major shortcomings on the following. 1. No CNN or any English language news channel in your room, despite that staff will tell you to keep searching the channels - only option is to borrow remote from front desk for the lobby TV, you can watch CNN there. 2. Internet is not free, option is wired […] connection in your room at 6 euros for 3 hours, and a free 30 min pwd given on a daily stay. Problem is, connection from hotel is satellite, so expect drop after every 1-2 min - awful. 3. Noise insulation - expect to hear everything above and next to you, request a corner room, and I mean everything. Despite the above 3, the hotel staff is very good (special thanks to Thomas and Andrea) - the blonde gal has her on/off days - cleanliness is very good, room size is excellent, location is ok (need to take vaporetto to Venice) - breakfast is very good, and restaurant staff is very appeasing, despite the lack of English. Don't forget to get a free 1 hour bike rental, very nice experience touring Lido by bike. Would stay there again if ever in the Venice vicinity, though that is highly unlikely, since the Venice tourist trap experience has left a very sour taste - expect to get ripped off while in Venice - boat for the locals is 1 euro, you as a tourist pay 6.50 per ride or multi day pass - many locals don't even bother paying, nor get questioned to board, but you will. Also, the menus are for tourists only, the only time you feel like you're not getting ripped off is at the supermarket. Mehr

Unless you have lots of money to spend and can afford 5 star hotels in Venice, you will most likely be disappointed with hotel accommodations when staying here in the land of canals. From talking to friends and from experience, these hotels are small and very impractical. Venezia 2000 has good large rooms relative to similarly priced Venice hotels. […] However, we had to change our room because when we first checked in because the room smelled like horrible body odor. This is predominantly because of the very very impractical bathrooms. The bathtub is very small, so no baths. The shower head is at knee level (not kidding). The shower curtain is made of cloth. You have to SIT to take a shower in very very tight space. As a result, water gets sprayed everywhere and the curtains retained the shower water causing the odors. The AC unfortunately sits right above and outside the bathroom doors, thus facilitating the bathroom odors to get into the AC filters. When we changed room, the second room is much better, but a tinge of body odor was still present, but nothing like the first room. However, the bathroom arrangements are all the same, very impractical. HORRIBLE. Supposedly, bathrooms in other hotels in Venice is not much better making this hotel seems like a gem. Otherwise, the hotel is good. Free parking in the back. No free wifi. very friendly and accommodating front desk staff, No frill breakfast buffet. Free bikes available to use by hotel patrons. It is on Lido Island, so you will have to take the boat to get to the touristy part of Venice. Hotel is not exactly on the beach, and even if it was, the beach is not very impressive and looks dirty (at least in October when it's not open). Our biggest difficulty during the Venice stay was when we decided to take the bus back to the hotel because it was evening at that point (although it would be ~ 10-15 minutes walk). Overall we found the hotel very good. Staff were friendly and helpful. They had their own bikes which were free to hire out for the first hour and only €5.00 for half a day which was great as cycling was a great way to get around the island and site see. Breackfast was very good by continental standards and they had a nice Solarium for sunbathing […] althought the beach was just acrross the road. Mehr

Charmant hôtel situé à Lido à quelques minutes de Venise en bateau.Tout est correct et nous avons adoré les alentours de cet hôtel situé face à la plage. La restauration est de bonne qualité et le petit déjeuner copieux. Si nous retournons un jour à Venise nous pourrions y loger encore. Le seul hic c'est le cout du vaporetto pour se rendre à Venise […] 6.50 euros par personne pour un aller seulement. Donc a 2 calculer un ajout de 26 euros ....alors c'est a considérer lorsqu'on regarde les prix de chambre pour Venise..... Mehr

Hotellet ligger i passende afstand fra alt. Idag er det jo vigtigt at få bevæget sig, at motionere. Efter flere gange om ugen at sejle over til Venedig, er det en befrielse at komme "hjem" til Lidoen. Gå-afstanden til hotellet er perfekt, medmindre man er doven og "orker" at bevæge sig. Der er ca. 10 minutters hurtig gang fra hvor Vaparettoen lægger […] til. Hotellet er super. Morgenmaden kunne være mere fristende. Der er meget kage af forskellig slags, lidt flutes, alm. ost, skinke, juice, forskellige kaffetyper fra maskine. Egentlig ok, men vi kunne godt savne lidt mere frisk frugt. Morgenmaden er alligevel ikke noget problem. Det vænner man sig så til. Det er et super sted. Aftensmad kan man roligt spise, Man sidder med udsigt til havet. Deres retter er også dejlige italienske. Husets vin brød vi os ikke om. Snup en vin fra listen. Mehr

Hôtel agréable, prix intéressant et situé à deux pas du front de mer, dans un environnement très calme. Le revers de la médaille est qu'il est loin du centre de Venise (20 minutes de vaporetto + 10 bonnes minutes à pied).

Hotelli on ohittanut mennee loistonsa, vierailumme aikan mm. hissi ei toiminut. Huoneet ovat nuhruisia ja sohvat tahraisia. Myöskään lisähintainen merinäköala ei paljoa mieltä lämmitä, sillä edessäolevat pinjat ovat kasvaneet nii suuriksi, että peittävät talon. Hotellin vieressä oli talonvaltaajien haltuunottama teollisuuskompleksi.

호텔의 위치는 리도섬의 해변 바로 1분거리라 매우 좋으나 배당된 방이 반지하여서 빨래도 안 마르고 공기가 쾌쾌하며 눅눅해서 안 좋았음. 적어도 반지하만 아니었으면 아주 좋았을 호텔임.

Hyfsat hotell, dessvärre rummen utspridda i andra byggnader, kändes som man bodde på "anexet" och inte på hotellet. Vi hade dessvärre missat att man behövde åka båt till ön Lido som hotellet ligger på. Denna båtfärd tog ca 30 min och var ganska dyr. Annars var det perfekt med busshållplatsen precis utanför hotellet, som tog en direkt ner till "båtbussen" […] som man åkte in till gamla Venedig. Löste man sedan tex. en 24 tim biljett gällde den på både buss och båt, och fritt att hoppa av och på efter eget behag vad man önskade besöka. Även om det kostade en del att åka gondol, är det en upplevelse. Killen vi åkte med var väldigt kunnig och hade mycket att berätta, plus att vi givetvis frågade en del. Mehr

Et dejligt hotel, tæt på stranden og alligevel i gå afstand fra Lido's hovedgade. Men deres kaffe smager ikke særlig godt - det gør husets vin derimod... :-)

Muy bueno todo Totalmente recomendable Lo unico malo no se esmeran por comprender idioma y estaba roto el frasco d jabon liq y no dan shampoo y cuando les pedi que me dieran otro frasco de jabon liquido ya que ese estaba roto de antes q yo entrara me dijeron q solo a la mañana NO tenia nada para poder lavarme la cabeza y no se preocuparon en lo mas […] minimo NI CAMBIERON DURANTE LA ESTADIA el frasco de jabon liquido que estaba roto Todo en general es muy bueno salvo que no se esmeran en nada en complacer al huesped. But they don t care if yuo require something..the shower cream was broken and they don t change it even when i ask for it. i don t have how to wash my hair and they dont care only a little for it. Un servico fantastico, en un sitio tranquilo , bonito y a un paso de todo lo que significa Venecia. Muy recomendable para descansar de las largas caminatas por Venecia. En la isla de Lido, con conexiones rapidas a toda Venecia.

カーニバル中の滞在だったが、ﾘﾄﾞ島という離島にあり、とびこみであったがあいていた！ 格安なのに、おいしいビュッフェスタイルの朝食つきでした！ ベネチアの滞在時間を計算して、水上バスの24時間券などを買ったりするとより良いです！ 夏の観光地みたいなので、冬は、シーズンオフの可能性があります！

bien mais un peu loin des magasins et des stations ou nous prenions le vaporetto pour Venise.

L'hotel e pulito, il personale è gentile, le camere sono ampie, la colazione è otima. E' ben collegato con la stazione dei vaporetti, la fermata del bus è a pochi metri. In sintesi una valutazione eccellente.

Hotellet ligger svært nær stranden og har egen restaurant og takterasse med boblebad. God frokost inkludert i prisen og god rengjøring. Men hotelllet ligger lengst unna sentrum og ferjekaia og servicen på hotellet er ikke god. Aircondisjonen på rommet er bestemt av hotellet og vi spurte pent om den kunne justeres ned da vi syntes det var svært varmt […] på rommet, men det kunen den ikke. Dermetd endte vi opp med ikke å sove på 5 netter. Mehr

Hôtel calme, idéalement situé près de la plage du Lido et à 1/4 d'h de Venise. Arrêt de bus devant l'hôtel qui emmène jusqu'à l'embarcadère du vaporetto.

Está situado en un lugar muy lindo como es la Isla de Lido. La ubicación específica sobre la Lungomare es estupenda. Además la cercanía a la playa. El transporte es muy bueno y cumplido. Las instalaciones del hotel son muy buenas. Las habitaciones limpias, claras y cómodas.

En point positif : Nous étions trois avec une ado, la chambre était en fait 2 chambres. Belle Salle de bain Point mitigée : Le restau de l'hotel est assez viellot il faut aimer, le charme est un peu trop suranné des années 30. On y mange correctement Point négatif : N'oubliez pas que vous etes à 20mm en Vaporeto de la place St Marc, il n'y a aucune […] activité sur l'ile le soir Mehr

An extremely nice and very reasonably priced hotel on the Lido, within walking distance of Venice. Some rooms have a view of the sea or even Venice. There is a breakfast buffet, though without much variation. The hotel is clean and quiet, and the public (water) bus stop is only a 10 minutes walk away - or 2 minutes if you take the bus right by the front […] door. The rooms are cleaned daily, and facilities are good. Some rooms even have a kitchenette, though it is only available if you stay for more than 7 nights. The one thing to get when in Venice: an all-day (or two-day, or weekly) tour pass for the water buses. It is _the_ way to get around in the city, and it makes it much, much cheaper to stay there. It is actually difficult to recommend a single view or attraction in Venice, because everything is interesting! But maybe, for me, the thing to see is the church where Vivaldi was babtized. It is beautiful, peaceful, you are allowed to take photos (some churches do not allow you to do that), and they play classical period music for you. If you are into classical venezian music, visit the small music store by the Rialto bridge (on the eastern side, towards the Piazza San Marco, second street (I believe) to the left. Listen to some Galuppi, Tartini, or Marcello; it just doesn't get any better than that. Mehr

Chambre bien décorée et très propre. Personnel agréable, 1 personne de l'hôtel parle français. Le restaurant est correct, bien qu'assez cher (courant à Venise). La ligne de bus A s'arrete juste devant l'hotel et passe toutes les 20 minutes jusque tard dans la nuit. Quartier très calme, en face de la mer. Un snack juste en face de l'hotel est ouvert […] de très tot le matin a tres tard le soir et sert des panini bons. On y retournera! Mehr

Bon accueil. Bonne situation géographique : la mer à 2 pas. Chambre agréable. Très bonne literie. Restaurant avec terrasse et prix abordables.
