The Westin Fort Lauderdale - Fort Lauderdale

Der Preis war natürlich total klasse für dieses hervorrgende Hotel, die Umgebung war okay, wenn auch etwas weiter aussserhalb als gedacht. Aber die ANbindung mit den Auto ist zufriedenstellend, so dass es eigentlich kein Problem ist.

Erstklassiges Businesshotel, das leider direkt an der Interstate (I95) liegt. Im Zimmer stört das nicht, da die Fenster eine sehr gute Lärmdämmung besitzen. Jedoch am Pool ist der Lärm unüberhörbar und durchaus störend.

Upon arrival at the hotel after a long and exhausting help it took 20 minutes for baggage assistance to my room. Upon arrival- no towells in the bathroom. An immediate phone call to the desk resulted in nothing. In the interim I placed an order for food via room service. The room service food was excellant and timely. In the meantime -no towells. The […] waitress from Room Service asked if there was anything else- I said PLEASE-"some towells"-within 2 minutes I finally had towells. Bed was delicious. I had a disappointing one-night stay at this hotel, which appeals mostly to business travellers visiting the adjacent corporate offices. First, only one of three hotel elevators were operating, yet there were no signs explaining this to guests or apologizing for agonizingly long delays to ride the single elevator. The waiter at breakfast needs better […] instructions in serving. One does not reach all the way accross the table to pour juice, to save himself walking two extra steps. For a top-flight chain, like the Weston, at very steep prices, this is unacceptable. I would not return to this hotel. Mehr

The room was comfortable, clean and the staff was helpful and professional, as I would expect at a Westin hotel. The workout facility card reader was barely working and took a good five minutes of swiping my card to get in. The nearest parking isn't free even though this isn't located in a busy area (not in a downtown setting), so I'm not sure why self-parking […] costs extra. Are they not charging rates that are enough to cover the property expenses? That made the hotel seem "cheaper" in my opinion. Also, there weren't very many plugs that were easy to get to and didn't affect unplugging lighting devices. I couldn't charge my mobile phone near the bed (which serves as my alarm clock on business trips), so that was inconvenient. By the time I did find one of the hidden outlets in the desk area, I was packing to leave. Maybe that's ignorance on my part. Also, the satellite TV menu keep "losing signal". It didn't affect any of the shows, just the main hotel menu you get when you first turn on a hotel tv. Mehr

don't do it ... just because it says westin on the outside, don't book it because it is not westin on the inside. truly, a lousy stay at a completely outdated hotel! pick some place else ...

Quality of stay for the money was amazing. They even offered free parking since it was a holiday weekend. Will try and become a regular guest here.

Very nice room more then expected for the price. Great people working there very helpfull.

The beds were very uncomfortable. The maid didn't have enough wash cloths and hand towels in the room. The sweeper had not been ran. There were no vending machines in the entire hotel, so you not get anything to drink unless you went downstairs to the restaurant. The mattress was completely torn all the way around the bottom. Most cushy and comfortable bed I have ever slept on. However, one thing to watch out for is the sneaky internet charges. If you're a Starwood platinum member, you'll see that you need to accept daily charges for wifi, and then it'll be refunded on check out. If you don't notice the fine print that if you book online through hotels.com, or some other […] third party site, then you don't get the wifi free and you get a nice surprise upon checkout. Watch out for this sneakiness. Overall, great service. Also, buffet breakfast is extremely expensive at about $20 per person. Watch this also...better to go to a local restaurant for breakfast. Mehr

My experience at the Westin was not a pleasant one, I tought that if you book this kind of Hotel you can have a better service. Let me tell you my history, when we arrived a nice bellboy received us at the main Lobby is and old man very kind and helpfull, the clerk at that time was nice too and the check in was very fast. The second day of my stay I […] return at 3.30 p.m. and my room was not clean, I call the front desk and a lady clerk told me that they have so many rooms to clean and he did´t work at the houssekeeping department so she did´t know if they will clean my room or not. I was very upset because we came back to rest after one morning of shopping. Every day the maid never took the garbage I had to leave it at the main entrance of the room, every day we fund that the room only made the beds and half a clean the bathroom, the previous night of my departure they did´t leave towels and since we arrived I told them that we are 2 adults and one child and they always leave only 2 towels, I got tired to ask for an additional towel and we only use 2. They don´t provide towels at the pool area so you have to bring your own from the room....and finnaly the mischarge the parking . This Hotel really need to improve the quality of the services and some actitude of the employes, I travel every year to Florida and my plan is not stay again here. Mehr

Didn't like having to pay $10 to park in the hotel parking lot especially when there were plenty of parking spaces.

Our stay at the Westin was very comfortable in a spectacular room. This is an upscale hotel at a reasonable price, located close to many points of interest.

nice location-just off I-95 and very accomodating they made sure your stay was pleasant and enjoyable great pool and pool area

The lobby, staff, hallways, and the room were high quality. Unfortunately, the elevators, and pool area need some work (banged up somewhat). The pool was not as clean as it should be, The tile and brick pavers around the pool needs some pointing, and the landscaping around the pool was not "Westin" quality. We also resented paying for daily parking […] on our bill when there was never an attendant at the parking lot, and the barrier gate was open for 3 days straight. I've stayed in this hotel before and was satisfied. Still, this time I used the pool for the first time and it was filthy. The first room I got had the AC broken so it was an oven and the sheets had stains. The second room I got was fine.

I recently had a business trip to attend and make my first reservation to a Westin. I was very pleased and impressed with the accommodations and the personnel at the Westin. On my future trips that is the place I will stay. I was also unable to get my flight home due to the hurricane and the Westin jumped in to help assure I had a room and that my unexpected […] extra days with them were very pleasant. Thank you. Mehr

Have stayed at this hotel before, like the convenience in location and courteous staff. Business Center easily accessible.

Hotel amenities were very good.

Only spent the night there due to transiting for our trip, but is was nice. They have a very nice pool and work-out facility.

This was the best hotel experience I have ever had. When I 1st checked in I was put into a double room (even though I paid for a king deluxe room) because Hotels.com had messed up my reservation. When I called the front desk to tell the clerk, the young lady Michelle was more than helpful. She apologized for the inconvenience and even upgraded me to […] a suite even thought the mix up was with hotels.com. I had absolutely no complaints, everyone was very courteous and helpful. This hotel suited our purpose for a one night stay on a journey from ft myers to the keys. It was ok for this purpose. I would recommend for similiar stays or business but not as a vacation destination.

We actually left a day early. - Maids yell at each other all day long in the hallway - Pay for internet, pay for parking, pay a LOT of money for breakfast - This place is in the middle of a trailer park; sketchy area - Room cleanliness not so good. Stains in the carpet everywhere. Musky smell. - Nothing […] to do in the area except spend money at the hotel. - No fan in the bathroom - TV in our room was along the window, not across from the bed. We had a stay-cation for 2 nights and 3 days and really enjoyed ourselves over the July 4th week-end . The Westin which was 30 minutes from our home was a great get-a-way and their morning brunch was delicious and the service was excellent . I stayed Westin during the memorial weekend and I was very happy with this hotel. Our room was clean, staff was friendly, and pool was very nice. Although it was not a huge pool, it was pretty. It's close to I-95, but a bit of a drive from the beach. For the price, you really can't beat this deal. I did read some previous comments about the perfume […] scent coming out of the A/C vents. I actually thought it smelled good and was not too strong to the point was it was unbearable. I have noticed that a lot of the newier hotels have started to do the same thing and I think its a wonderful idea. Overall, I would recommned this hotel. Outstanding value for money. look no further than this hotel if you want to stay in Fort Lauderdale.

The hotel location is OK. I stayed here b/c I got a great rate at the last moment. However this Westin was not up to the standards of others I've stayed in. My room was dirty...toilet seat had "stuff" on it. Had to clean it myself before using. Also the bar/restaruant was severly understaffed and had long waits for service. As someone who stays in hotels […] about 100 nights a year, I would only stay at this Westin again as a last resort. Mehr

The hotel was great. The only thing I didn't get in my room was a robe and I thought I read they had one. The lagoon and pool area was beautiful and instead of accessing the mini bar, I stopped at the bar downstairs, ordered a drink and took it to my room. I thought I was going to have to pay for parking but when I arrived I found out Sunday was free […] to all and if I asked the front desk for a guest pass I was not charged at all. I on;y stayed one night as a needed getaway for me and my sweetie. Our suite was gorgeous the staff was exceptional and we definately have placed them on our list of places to run when an ahh haa moment is needed again.
