Grand Hyatt Tampa Bay - Tampa

The Grand Hyatt was awesome! My 11-year old daughter and I stayed here for two nights before our cruise left out of Tampa and for one additional night after returning to port before we returned to New Jersey. The hotel was beautiful and the staff phenominal. From the bellman picking us up at the airport and giving us tons of information about the area, […] hotel, and property, to the concierge who offered to wash my daughter's sweatshirt (free of charge) and return it to us the next morning, everything about our stay here was excellent. The Bar / Lounge had terrific service and food, the breakfast each morning was delightful, and the pools were well-maintained, clean, and always inviting. The hotel had bunnies brought in for Easter morning...what a sweet treat for the kids! The hotel's nature trail was beautiful as well. My daugher and I looked forward to our walks along this path several times per day and enjoyed the restaurant and poolside service at Oystercatcher's. We look forward to staying here again in the future. Mehr

Yes -- this was a great hotel. On the expensive side, but you get what you pay for. Room Service was amazing at making sure that my special dietary requirements were met and they were so flexible, which made eating the right food really easy. Would definitely stay again.

Top notch, luxurious hotel with very friendly, accommodating staff. Everyone was always welcoming all-around from the warm front door service to servers in the dining facilities and eveyone in-between. The nature preserve and beach right by Old Tampa Bay was breathtaking and peaceful. We loved our stay and would definitely return! :)

Great hotel, convenient location. Reception and breakfast staff was exceptionally friendly, polite, and helpful. Great service! Breakfast is a little expensive. Pool is OK, but nothing special.

I have stayed at many Hyatt Hotels...I like the chain and it's usually my first choice (Hyatt Blue, anyone?). There was a note at check-in about the construction. It wasn't horrible, but I wouldn't stay there again until it's finished. My son's sheets had stains on them. And our room was in serious need of overhauling (which apparently, they're doing). The […] hallway air vent was BLACK. Not dark brown, not a little dinghy...BLACK. And my allergies kicked up as soon as we turned the air down in the room. All in all, a very disappointing stay. Our flight was delayed and we arrived at the hotel at 5 am. The front desk person was extremely nice. He offered us free breakfast and gave us free water bottles. He also extended our check out time to 2 Pm without charge. This was unexpected as we had a rough start to our trip. We will definitely stay in this hotel on our future visits.

The hotel is tucked away in a quiet area and a good choice for those that want peace and quiet. The staff were all excellent and friendly. The room was clean and only lacked a refrigerator, but otherwise, very comfortable. The location is convienent to the airport, but not for walking access to off property attractions. Great hotel, great service - all the employees were very nice and helpful. the only little cons about this hotel is the location as it isn't the nicest place of the area but if you have a car, easy access to everything

The hotel is nice and the staff are very helpful. the only concern i would caution is keep a spare set of keys for your car if you have it valeted. they lost my keys for 4 hours. buyt made up for it in the end. over all i am very satisfied with this hotel and will stay here again.

The Hotel Location is nice but is like in an island (all around is H Ways and Water), you will not be able to walk arround the block. Room was OK but with some humidity Smell (Something that I hate). Nice building and Parking lot.

The best part of the hotel stay was the free shuttle to the malls and the airport as well as the great breakfast buffet (kids eat free with an adult purchase). The rroms were comfortable but outdated and the hallway carpets were less than ideal.

The Casitas are my "thing" now. I will never go back to the main Hotel rooms anymore. Not that they are not nice, but the casitas beat them all. Thay are awesome! I also enjoyed that smooth champagne. It was a fantastic stay! I will come back again and again.

Great staff. They accommodated every special request with 5* service. Great view. Large room. Nice linen. 5* common areas. Very low room rate for a 4* hotel.

Good location and a great restaurant - Oystercatchers

This hotel has a nice facility but the attitude is one of "it's good enough". The hot tub was luke warm, the fire-table was only on for a few minutes, the restaurant food wasn't served hot. This was not a bad place, but has the potential to be a great one if they cared enough to make it one.

Whenever I fly into Tampa Bay I stay on the Club Level at this hotel. The hotel is very clean and close to the airport and the staff are professional and friendly. The location has a pool and beautiful views of the bay. The ladies/ staff in the club lounge work feverishly to ensure that all guests are well fed and satisfied. the only thing that suprised me with a 4 star property, is that our room did not have a refrigerator.

Close to airport. Views wonderful of the bay. Hotel up to date and very clean. Would recommend highly.

I needed a few days rest and this was the place to do it. A quiet and comfortable room. The staff was responsive with requests. The only negative issue is the quality of the TV reception. They tried without success to rectify this situation.

Loved the hotel, great service and food. The only disappointing part was the extreamly small pool. There were about 20 people in it, and it was full to capacity!

staff was very friendly and accomodating, would recommend this location

We were so impressed by the wonderful staff and the fact that they paid attention to every detail. The room was clean and comfortable. The grounds were very well maintained, the pool area was showing movies at night for the kids, nice walk to gazebo or even the "casitas" area. It is somewhat "hidden" near the highway, but not too far from Busch Gardens […] or area shopping centers and right next to airport. We will definitely return! Mehr

Excellent hotel! Perfect location right near the airport and close to all major attractions. The service was great and the room was very comfortable. The restaurants were good, but relatively expensive ($30+ entrees). Definitely recommend!

Easter weekend check-in offered enough rooms for a bay view upgrade. All employees we're professional, polite, efficient and respectful. Room door hinges needed an adjustment that was promptly corrected. Special mention to our room attendant, restaurant staff and valets. These individuals define the quality of management at this Hyatt.

Overall the hotel was good. It had nice grounds and two pools. However the sheets and pillows in the room were about the worst I have ever experienced. The hotel is not directly near anything. If you do not rent a car you are stuck on the grounds.

Lobby was nice and the dining was excellent but the room was not clean, the bathroom molding was covered in an inch of dust and there was old food stuck to the bathroom cabinet. The carpet was frayed in many places, the pool was dirty. The property was pretty though on some acreage with a board walk but only close to the mall and airport not close to […] anything else. Mehr

We had a superb stay at the Grand Hyatt oveer Thanksgiving weekend while visiting family. It could not have been a more perfect place to kick back and relax. The staff goes out of their way to be friendly and attentive in every detail. Waking up to a spectacular view of Tampa Bay is an added bonus. It was like being on a far off Island. Great location with three great restaurants. I have stayed here before and it never disappoints. One negative; they have removed all mini bars and refrigerators. The mini bar I can live without - way too high $ - but a fridge would be nice for leftovers and refreshments for those who don't want to pay exorbitant prices for hotel snacks and beverages. […] This place is expensive enough at $$$ per + tax. Out of all the places I visited on my journey in Florida, this was far by the nicest place I'd stayed. Champagne or arrival. Breakfast was really good, so much to choose from and the quality was very good. The people were all very friendly. To top it off having cocktail at the pool at night with a swim and a film showing outside I don't think I can […] say a bad word about this hotel. Although the only I would say is finding is tricky but that's just the location. I must also say if you get a bay view it's an amazing view. A very nice hotel! Mehr

The entire staff was wonderful to us. The pool was beautiful. I requested a fridge for our room when we checked in and within half an hour it was brought to our room. I hope you like big fat, very uncomfortable pillows, because they have no alternatives to offer. The room was noisy (by the elevators) so had to move for my second night. Excellent concierge service. Restaurants are expensive.

I was very pleased with my stay at the Grand Hyatt of Tampa Bay. Upon check-in we were offered chilled champagne and everything was perfectly coordinated with hotels.com. I had previously booked my stay approximately an hour prior to my arrival via an iTunes application, in a very stressful situation.
